What exactly are you intending?

have you watched avatar: the last airbender?

I was about to but my plans kinda changed when the fire nation attacked.

There you go, OP.

Its literally lighthearted Genocide: the animu.

Think Dr. Robotnik.

Instead of killing people, come up with a kid-friendly "and they're not here any more" excuse. Maybe they've all been turned into robots, or turned into statues, or frozen. Maybe the city of the notJews simply VANISHES, never to be seen again (and no messy bodies)

cause the people who get killed to turn into inanimate objects ala Arc-V

...

Try playing Overlord for evil themed light heartedness

You, kill your self

The extermination of the Air Benders REALLY wasn't all that 'light hearted'. It was just played off that way because we didn't see it happen, and it was so long ago no one really talked about it that much. (Although I think in one episode Aang has a little flash back where you see an Air Temple on fire. So there is that. If I am forgetting something, feel free to correct me)
That whole bit was really weird to be honestly. Don't get me wrong, I loved the show. But fucking hell, for a kids show that was dark. Like if you stop and think about it, the Fire Nation systematically exterminated every man, woman, and child in what we are led to believe was a very short amount of time. No survivors. (Which I guess is suppose to make the viewer think that the Fire Nation is irredeemably Evil. and they are. Or at least the Military and leadership is)

Right, but what's important about how the show stayed PG is that none of that was really SHOWN. You had Aang run away, TIMESKIP and then "oh they all died, oops". You see the after-effects, not the actual event.

>How do you make genocide "PG", like for a lighthearted campaign?
Meme magic.
youtubemultiplier.com/5234f4197d299-removal-intensifies.php

A more serious answer, standard fantasy already makes genocide lighthearted. The enemy is depicted as irredeemably evil and even subhuman, and the heroes as righteous exterminators of evil.

>Genocide
>PG
I feel bad for that fucking campaign and group because that's stupid and shitty.

I wouldn't be surprised if this actually happened, word for word, except in German.

Well, german women are very motherly

Yeah this. Just make your players murder hobos out to remove all kobolds and make sentient being great again

Valkyria Chronicles

My concentration camps have a small zoo, a pool and other fun things to do, also free lice prevention so you don't catch typhus :^).

Loud as fuck compared to American families, but ya motherly.

>Louder than Americans
I think not.

then the family I chilled with for 3 weeks just wanted to dick with me.

Srsly, tell us, OP

>Hey kid, wanna SS

>The genocide happened so long ago nobody who was alive during it is still alive.
>The PCs don't find any bodies
>It's a race that the PCs have only met horrible people from and it happened off-screen while the PCs were on another continent.

this

I feel bad for finding that pic really cute

Don't endorse bullying

>to make the viewer think that the Fire Nation is irredeemably Evil
In their defense, later on they went the distance to show that the citizens of the Fire Nation weren't actually evil, just under an evil leader and propaganda.

Be the good guys trying to stop it from ever happening

BANISHED TO THE SHADOW REALM

Sing a happy and catchy song.

Fullmetal Alchemist was PG.

That song was far from happy

Kek

Morrowind did it very well, with the dwarves essentially dividing by zero and all vanishing from the planet one day (except one who was traveling in the Outer Realms). Whether they went to another plane of existence or actually died is left up to question, but it's a very bloodless way of doing it.

Yeah the best way of doing PC Genocide is by coming up with a much less messy reason for an entire ethnic group to just poof off the map that isn't direct and dirty genocide..

Chex quest mode, a war was fought against a horde of monsters and the people simply went "hey what if we just teleport them to another dimension?"

You could "rachet n' clank" it by having everyone believe a race was genocided when it was actually banished to another plane/dimension.

All of my this, the only way.

>best girl falls in love with worst girl
I hate that trope

No worries, OP! Everybody will be upgraded!

The fuck? No it isn't. Nobody's genociding anyone. Humanity is declining, but that's a natural process caused by it's-never-really-made-clear.

It's implied fairly heavily that the reason humans are declining is directly related to the rise of the fairies, that instead of dying and being reborn as humans they instead die and get reborn as fairies. Watashi is one of the youngest humans left on the planet, they closed down the last school after she graduated.

Why is DrWho so lame?

>what is American war propaganda

This sounds really familiar.

Consider the rounding up of the magical creatures in the first Shrek movie. It's obviously some totalitarian shit, but the movie is still very much a comedy.

Mass exile; never to be seen again.

Because it's British

They were trying to make you feel comfortable, but overshot it

Make those you kill jews.
Fun for the whole family.

The BBEG views them as literal gummy bears, and Is an idiot by swallowing them whole.

Show them the results without the explicit violence. Present the players with ghost towns. Have them walk through the orderly homes of those who left thinking it would be a short displacement. Show them the broken doors and windows of those who were later dragged away by force. Give each home unique traits- maybe one family forgot their daughter's favorite teddy bear and it sits abandoned, where another home of a single elderly man stores pictures of a lifetime of joys and sorrows. Make your truth simple: people just like us lived here, and now they're gone. Lives need not be lost in the duration of your adventure, as the sense of emptiness should more than supplicate for any gore or conflict you could have shown.

A gentle genocide is one where no one "dies". Just banish the target group to a shadow realm or something, and make up a fairy magic ritual to bring them back, either individually or wholesale.

Does it count if they're something terrible like demons? A noblebright campaign about slaying millions of demons might be PG enough.

Avoid industrial mass murder and death squads wiping out populations
maybe have it be a plague that killed all the people who were genocided but make the circumstances be suspicious

...

...

Final Fantasy 9 has several attempts at genocide, with the least successful reaching around half the population, and yet its treated as the cutesy, lighthearted final fantasy.

how big was the population and what were the capabilities of those trying to out said population

I see trees of green, red roses too.
I see them bloom for me and you.
And I think to myself
"What a wonderful world".

Also, google "sugar apocalypse" for examples.

Rat people: Their city of Burmecia was a large one militarized one that was attacked and conquered with its people scattered to become refugees.

Their other city of Cleyra was a gigantic tree guarded by a giant sand storm. The tree was destroyed when the enemy summoned the eidolon Odin to destroy it.

Their enemy was the medieval kingdom of Alexandria which while technologically the least developed of all, a weapons dealer gave them a black mage puppet army and later they got access to summon magic which they used to try and conquer the continent, bypassing the airship and military might of the other nations with overwhelming magical power.

Another genocide was the main villain destroying the cities on another planet with their own raw magical power.

Simple, you banned it

Yeah but Watashi and everyone else except the assistant were just fairies pretending to be humans all along

Harry Potter or Avatar, basically.

>genocide
>light-hearted

Time travel, magic, pixie dust

It's just a prank, bro!

Make it about genociding all Kender.

...

Turn the Jews and Nazis into mice and cats

Genocide =! pest control

Relevant, I guess.

Like this story?

b-but that's forbidden love.

Oh yeah, that was a laugh a minute.

Not sure if this counts as genocide, but in Elder Scrolls lore all of the dwarves just vanished due to magic BS. No one knows exactly what happened or where they went. Seems PG to me.

But it's PG-13!

>How do you make genocide "PG", like for a lighthearted campaign?
The right music: youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ

There's a difference between "PG" and "light-hearted" (or even comedic). is a good example of a PG way to present genocide or the results of genocide while still being fairly heavy.

I wanna protect green-hair's smile

I was expecting the kebab song since it's so catchy and jolly

>Darfur
Figuratively what?

THROW THEM IN THE SHADOW REALM

I want to remove green hair.
She can keep the smile tho.

Like we normally mask violent themes in front of the parents, with song.

>brown girls

I understand his passion completely, I'd purge the hell out of a whole continent to get some of that.

>you'll never be a conquistador

Alright. You made me laugh guiltily there.

Vaguely describe it as unspeakable atrocities. It's okay if it happens offscreen.
