How many midichlorians do you think Rey has?

Certainly no fewer than 8999.

Midichlorians aren't canon

Oh but they are. Two mentions on the big screen, three mentions cartoons. Midi-chlorians are canon and Kyle Katarn is not.

The italian rumours were true

>dat ARC

Ech, ew, ah, no pls no.

hottest thing is a-wing

Imgur.com/a/ztS8g

All the Wave 9 images

>ARC has crew and astro
Oh lawdy, the combinations

If this is true and it constitutes Wave 9 then I'm really disappointed. Disney shoving more of their shit cartoon down our throats, some weird timeline creep with the ARC-170 (a Republic starfighter) appearing as a Rebel ship, and the TIE/SF as a standalone which probably means that there won't be a First Order version of 'Heroes of the Resistance' (from which we can extrapolate that 'Heroes' really is what we're getting instead of 'Rebel Veterans' and so no E-Wing fix will be forthcoming).

>If this is true
You think it's an elaborate ruse? Of course it's true. Get with it or get out of the game.

>reposting the leak pages here for dissection.

The ARC-170.

The TIE/SF

The Protectorate Starfighter.

The Shadow Caster

So what can we see?
PS 3/4/6/7
Attack: ?
Defence: 1
Hull: 6
Shield: 3
Focus, Target Lock
EPT, Torpedo, Astromech, Crew

Interestingly, and if someone wants to CSI the image please correct me, it looks like there is no generic pilot card. Like the Attack Shuttle they're all unique.

Cost 33?

Cards I can see: Tail Gunner, Recon Specialist, R3 Astromech, Ventral Thrusters? Alliance Overhaul?

Interesting to note:
Auxiliary Firing Arc (no shocks there)
An evade token despite no natural evade.

>Still barely any love for the flight sims' ridiculously varied ship selection
FFG pls. Canon or not, the sims are a goldmine of potential new content.

PS 3/5/7/9
Attack: 2
Defence: 2
Hull: 3
Shield: 3
Focus, Target Lock, Barrel Roll
EPT, Turret (?), Missile, Tech

Two generics, two named (including a new PS9 ace).

Cost: 29

Cards: Special Ops Training, Sensor [Something] (Tech), Wired.

Interesting to note:
"Firing arc allows the ship to fire at two separate targets" - I assume that's what Special Ops Training does, allowing a shot from the front arc and rear arc.

>Turret (?)

Might it be a crew slot?

PS 1/3/5/6/7/9(!)
Attack: 3
Defence: 3
Hull: 4
Shield: 0
Focus, Target Lock, Barrel Roll, Boost
EPT, Ordnance(?)

Cost: 25(?)

Cards: Title?

Interesting to note:
A massive three generics and three unique pilots straight out of the box!
Somewhere on its dial it has a Tallon Roll, previously the sole domain of the T-70

V-----
Thrusters?
Looks to be ship exclusive mod, probably a maneuverability action to the bar since it lacks one.
Torpedo of some sort
and what looks to be a title.

Tail Gunner has italicized text, probably Limited?
Someone familiar with the cartoons would probably have more luck with the pilot names.

Anyone remember when PS9 used to be fucking rare?

That said this thing literally has nothing but Pilot Cards, so I guess it makes sense.

This one is tricky. It's the lowest quality image.

PS 3/5/6/7
Attack: 2(?)
Defence: 2
Hull: 7(?)
Shield: 3
Focus, Target Lock, Evade, UNKNOWN
I can make out Illicit but that's it.

Cost: 38(?)

Cards: Some form of unique title. A new 'Action' card.

Interesting to note:
Comes with a new debris field
INTRODUCES A NEW ACTION. There is, without a doubt, some new kind of action unique to this ship on its action bar. I cannot read the rule card well enough to make it out, but it's there.

Total theory: Mobile Firing Arc - the action allows you to 'spin' your cardboard base insert, allowing you to switching the facing of your primary and auxiliary arc. Who's ready for some mufucking broadsides?

>No Poe Dameron TIE/sf special pilot

Someone pointed out the arrow on the base of the ship's peg, and an unknown action on the action bar which may be to rotate the firing arc of the ship's guns. Damn scum getting all the fun toys!

I think the second one is a system.

Good call. That makes more sense than giving it a turret.

Good. I want a Naboo starfighter eventually.

Fuck the haters one paired with my A Wing would be my childhood toys dreamteam.

The only problem is that there isn't a crew card included in the expansion. But then again, there isn't a System or Turret card either, so anything goes these days I guess.

The card next to Wired looks like a system icon to me, unless you recognize the card otherwise.

To me, this signals that FFG have given up on the Scyk.

They're too busy cross-promoting Mickey's shit.

Meanwhile, as with all the ships in Wave IX, the ARC-170 rewards you for catching your foes within its firing arc, even if that arc is its auxiliary arc. Even though the ARC-170's primary weapon boasts an unmodified value of just "2," you can give it an Alliance Overhaul to boost its attacks from its primary firing arc by one die or to change one result to a whenever you perform an attack from its auxiliary firing arc.

Then, more importantly, the Special Forces TIE can equip the Special Ops Training Title for free. Like the Alliance Overhaul for the ARC-170, this upgrade allows you to add an attack die to any attack you make from your primary firing arc. On the other hand, if you choose to forsake the extra attack die, your Special Ops Training makes it possible for you to take shots from both your primary and auxiliary firing arcs in the same round.

To ensure that your squad benefits as much as possible from your Special Forces TIE and Special Ops Training, the Special Forces TIE Expansion Pack introduces four new pilots, including two unique aces, and five upgrades. Notably, since the Special Forces TIE features slots for both a systems and tech upgrades, you will find new cards for both these slots included in the pac

Additionally, the expansion comes with four ship cards that introduce four new aces, including Poe Dameron's mother Shara Bey , who flew as Green Four during the Battle of Endor. Its nine new upgrades allow you to take advantage of the unique pairing of crew and astromech upgrade slots.

But while the ship's range of actions and maneuver dial, combined with its lack of shields, suggest that it should be a classic arc-dodger in the vein of the A-wing and the TIE interceptor, its pilots, like Fenn Rau , tend to favor brash, head-on charges. Accordingly, among the expansion's six ship cards and two upgrades, you will find no fewer than four cards that reference "Range 1," and three that reward you for flying straight into your opponent's firing arc.

This affords the Shadow Caster some of the advantages of a turret even while preserving a distinctive—and more point-efficient—playstyle, and as you might expect, each of the expansion's three unique pilots can put this mobile firing arc to good use, including the new Scum version of Sabine Wren .

Additionally, the Shadow Caster Expansion Pack and its upgrades allow you to litter the battlefield with debris tokens, upgrade your Shadow Caster with the abilities of each IG-2000 in your squad, and force your opponents to suffer the lingering effect of tractor beam tokens that are not removed during the end phase. In other words, the expansion is going to ensure the Scum faction stays updated with all the most devious tricks.

Will Wave IX and its starship expansions prove to be the perfect balance of innovation and classic design? Only time will tell, but for now, we know that it promises to add plenty of excitement through its variety, even as it keeps your X-Wing dogfights squarely focused on the basic principles of maneuvering, aiming, and firing.

Auxiliary firing arcs. Mobile firing arcs. Ships that want to fly into their enemies' firing arcs. Ordnance and upgrades that can literally change the shape of the battlefield. New aces pulled from the expanded Star Wars canon. Wave IX is coming, and there is only one good way to meet it—head on.

Look for Wave IX and its expansions to arrive at retailers late in the third quarter of 2016. Until then, keep your eyes open for more previews and other X-Wing news!

New FFG article out with crisp photos.

poke.

When its a fireball in space

Hey Ship, any luck with that tricked out crucible?

TIE/sf will probably be ~23 points for a baseline 2/2/3/3 ship that can doubletap

Damn.

Norra Wexley's ability seems really good.

>When attacking or defending, you may spend a target lock have on the enemy ship to add 1 [focus] result to your roll.

Pair up Recon Spec and K6 or maybe another Rebel Pilot that grants Focus Token or TL gain (Dutch, Kyle, Shara Bey now, Esege) give her Calculation and transform her into a poor mans ATC carrier.

PTL, Kyle (Crew), Generic R2, Engine Upgrade could work.

Then there's the merits of:
Stay On Target - Targeting Astromech - Kyle Katarn

or Expose - Experimental Interface - Generic R2 - Ezra Bridger

Although at this point you are throwing a lot of points on something that's only PS7 and has the survivability of a B-Wing more or less.

She also works well with the other ARC-170 pilot, which lets other ships use her target locks.

Oops, forgot I don't have auto-update enabled on my laptop.

So that Arc-170 upgrade that gives a small ship barrel roll.. reckon there'll be some kind of limit? Being able to give any small ship barrel roll sounds absolutely hilarious.

Well, most of them have it already to be honest.

The ones that don't already have some pretty high priority items taking the Mad slot already.
A-Wings have their Auto-Thrusters, X-Wings have their Integrated Astros or Guidance Chips, as do Y-Wings, TIE Bombers and Defenders have Chips or Mk2 Engines, which leaves what? A T-70 when BB-8 is already used, and who doesn't a free HP from Integrated or enough spare Autothruster cards?

Sup /swg/, I recently had the opportunity to talk with a Bodhisattva and get some interesting clarifications on Buddhism. Most of my questions were more related to how the OJO did things. You guys want me to share?

What did they think of the Prequels? Yay or nay?

Nay.

He was actually somewhat annoyed with the how the entire concept of attachments was mishandled. Love is not an attachment in Buddhism.

The prequels are canon. You may not like the prequels but the movies are and always will be canon

>until they're re-shot
>and made all about Ahsoka

>disgustingly naive padawan from the show
>being edited into the movies
We all know George Lucas would rather edit in more Gungans anyways.

Hahah oh fuck that would be a nightmare

>Implying a movie about Gungans wouldn't be fucking sweet
Just set it during the Gungan unification wars from Galactic Battlegrounds and you're set.

I'd be willing to bet it's the wave 11 rebel ship.
Its one of the more iconic SW ships they would know lots of us want and really I'm surprised we didn't get it before the arc 170.

Wave 10 will probably be all about rogue one.

Rogue One wave being T65 love, U-Wing (Rebel Party Bus?), TIE Striker aaand something?

Relatively high Points probably. There's already expert handling that lrts any small ship do it for stress.

Plus looking at what we can see on th card it's fairly short rules.
Something like
>your actions bar gains the barrel roll action

I better get my motherfucking Scurrg bomber.

I didn't even have a problem with the gungans. Jarjar was just sort of jarring.

JarJarring even
That said the Gungan bubble cities and them turning out to be crazy Zulu motherfuckers on the battlefield are some of my favorite aesthetic bits from the prequels.
Also Clone Wars doing Jar Jar eps that WEREN'T entirely terrible, etc.

Is there a Lead by Example scan/pic pdf out? Dude wants to Commander, don't really know what to do for him.

the joke with the sequels was that everything related to the jedi was ass, aside from JarJar having poor writing going for him I don't even object to him being a comic relief character but I prefered R2D2 and C3PO's abbot and costello to whatever the fuck JarJar was doing.

ARTICLE UP

see

Oh damn. Can we talk about it?

The ARC-170 is pretty sweet.
I hope the PS5 Fang Fighter is 22 points.

He's bad because he just kindof bungles around.
It works in TCW because the writers/Filoni know with that kind of character you need a straight man to be either a victim of or forced to play along with his Cosmo Kramer-tier bullshit that somehow works out, whether it be Threepio/Bail/Grievous briefly/Fucking Windu

Gungans aren't really they bad and when you consider Jar Jar is exiled because even his people couldn't stand him its a little better tasting pile of shit... Maybe corn in it or something.

One of my players really enjoys the gungan speech pattern and he does a good job with it. Think I will let my players assassinate senator Binks though, someone else mentioned letting them their players do that and it sounded fun.

I'm pretty disappointed. I hate the look of the ARC-170, and would have preferred anything else as the first prequel-era fighter (besides the z-95). The TIE-sf should have been incorporated into the First Order Tie kit from the beginning imo. Only the scum get anything that interests me this wave--which is good, because I've been meaning to start scum.

>I don't want a mandalorian fighter

Kill yourself.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Well, at least with the new Protectorate, we get a real Soontir Fel ace! Who likes to be at Range 1. You can run Scum Aces now if you wanted.

It is going to end up being the hyper-maneuverable A-Wing/Interceptor that scum needs. Which is awesome.

It still is. But with Poe offsetting the count for Rebels at 3 to everyone else's 2 PS 9 pilots, they need to balance the numbers a bit. I'm just glad the third PS 9 for Scum is on the Mandalorian fighter, and not the "gimmicky-turret" ship.

Nah. FFG isn't giving up. The Scyk's not going to be the A-Wig for Scum, with green turns (yet). It'll get something, but all it really needs is a discount to be usable. If it gets a free Scyk Modification that increases it's utility (like green 1-turns, a shield, or a free focus when going slow), then that works too.

Anyone else seeing that small ship mod that adds a Barrel Roll to your action bar? Vectored Thrusting? Holy shit if that's not a bone for the T-65.

Over Integrated Astro or Guidance Chips tho?

I have been hoping for a new PS5 dude with an EPT for my scum mindlink build, so this works amazingly as long as it's 22 points. I'd take 20 points but I'm not that lucky

>T-65
Problem is that it'll compete with Integrated Astro, Guidance Crisps, and Engine Upgrade. Plus, we've already got BB-8.

You already could. The only problem is you're dealing orimarily with big ships, or relatively fragile ships with either 3 health or 2 agility. The exception being the starviper, which has health and agility, AND is fucking murder in the right hands... But it sits at lower PS scores and requires a higher learning curve and/or Veteran Instincts on Xizor to bring you up to "ace" standards.

Fenn Rau is icing on the cake, finally giving Scum a hyper-maneuverable fighter with high PS, and apparently a Tallon Roll. I'm predicting it's dial is going to look like a Starviper had a theee way with a T-70 and an A-Wing. Bleached "B-Wing" starviper dial, 2-speeds are all green, and Tallon Rolls instead of S-Loops.

Yo guys, I just realized, Quickdraw also activates when you take damage from flying over asteroids, debris, and from bombs (or other abilities).

It'll basically be Guidance Chips if you're carting around torps, Integrated Astronif you beed survivability, Vectored Thrusters if you want maneuverability (Wedge/Wes/Luke). I fucking like it. It makes the X-Wing more customizable, and takes away the need to take Expert Handling and suck a stress just to barrel roll.

How come this: doesn't appear here ?

Did the leak rush FFG into releasing a draft?

I think that's the point. If you take an X-Wing, what mod do you give it? Effectively it will make the T-65 into a flexible little ship. Other ships like A-Wings could also benefit, but they want Autothrusters. B-wings don't need it, and have the E2. Z-95s could get some use if it's not too expensive. And it doesn't look like the mod is Rebel only, so that would make it an option for the Khyraxxz as well.

I'm not going to say Y-Wing, but barrel rolling Y-Wing with Autoblaster.

>Oh but they are. Two mentions on the big screen, three mentions cartoons. Midi-chlorians are canon and Kyle Katarn is not.
NOPE.

New canon starts December 2015.

Are you a Rebel player and you want to ensure your opponent never gets to make another red move or perform an action? Then this is the build for you!

Deals two stress at Range 1, three stress at Range 2, you can target anyone with just a focus token and it DOESN'T EVEN NEED TO HIT.

>barrel rolling Y-Wing
I don't know whether to feel fear or arousal.

>eps 1/2/3 aren't canon he says
>on the same day the ARC-170 becomes part of X-Wing

I'm touching myself tonight...

Give Norra C3-P0 and R5-K6.

Keep Target Locks forever.

I think the mention of her in the article has a link to her pilot card.

So does that mean the Shadow Caster Expansion Pack actually has four unique pilots and one generic (unlike the preview image, which shows three unique pilots and one generic and no Wren)?

Probably a stupid question, but if I have a stress token, I can do white maneuvers, I just don't get rid of stress token before I do a green maneuver, right?

>upgrade your Shadow Caster with the abilities of each IG-2000 in your squad
So that IG-[88?] crew card looks like it will have the same wording as 'You have the pilot ability of each other friendly ship with the IG-2000 Upgrade card (in addition to your own pilot ability).'

So you can give your YV-666 IG-88B's double tap for quadruple-tap cannons!

You can do white maneuvers but you skip your action.
If you do a green maneuver you remove the stress immediately after moving,

I... Think it might. Good eye. It looks like Sabine at PS 5 is not in the lineup of cards for that ship.

That is what they're implying.

Ew... Imagine giving Dengar the ability to boost (Engine Upgrade) and claim a free Evade Token... With Juke. There's gotta be a catch or something there. We'll know more when it's leaked.

Also, Latts Razi is a crew now, and does something regarding spending your stress token.

Feeling both at the same time is the only acceptable choice.

>Alderaan was a one time deal

What is Carida, what is Taris, what is the entire fucking Hosnian system, etc.

Planet-destroying superweapons have appeared in every iteration of Star Wars ever. The fact that you don't like them is irrelevant.

>What is Carida
never heard of it
>what is Taris
a world bombarded by a sith fleet with it's megacities reduced to rubble, not a world destroying event. Not even the first instance of a planet wide civilization being destroyed and not an entire planet being reduced to rubble.
>what is the hosnian system
a retread of the dumber parts if the EU and not worth considering going forward until the next movie mentions it. Which may very well be doubtful considering how little impact alderaan played beyond being an example of what the deathstar is capable of.
