Booh hoo a guy that can throw fireballs, lighting and other magic stuffs is way better than chad thundersword...

>booh hoo a guy that can throw fireballs, lighting and other magic stuffs is way better than chad thundersword, not fair!! fucking nerds that got bullied!

Will normalfags ever stop whining about 3 and 3.5 edition?

Magic beats everything, always.

The best way I can describe it is getting invited over to a buddy's place for video game night, but he's only got single player games and doesn't let you play.

You go in thinking it's gonna be a good time, but instead you get to watch someone else do everything and have fun.

nigger just play a wizard too

>Magic beats everything, always.
Except for anti-magic.

Or ya know, they don't. There's plenty of Demi-gods, heros, and other such people who can, and did, wipe the floor with magicians. In fact, the whole idea of magic users being ridiculous over powered bend the entirety of reality to their whim sorts, was created by 3. DnD.

If everyone's just supposed to play a wizman, why is all the other bullshit in there?

Before that even the most powerful of magicians relied upon subterfuge, minions, and magic to AVOID fights.

But that's a Psion.
And nobody complains about 3.0 because that one died before it became cancer.

>Magic beats everything, always.
Actually, no.
This depends on the rule set you're using and fluffwise it depends on the setting.

>nerd revenge fantasy confirmed
It's funny because ime most non-noob parties were usually happier to see a Bard, which is a great fusion of learned and Beefy, over Nerdy O'Tism with his spellbook and internet build that required carrying for 10 levels before he stopped sucking.

This If I can come up with a setting where Magicians aren't better than warriors, then Magic clearly doesn't always beat everything.

For example, real life, where Magic isn't real and you can only do magic tricks.

Will OP ever stop being a faggot?

No. He will not.

>referring to PnP with MMO terminology
You people are the reason the magic vs. melee meme started, aren't you? Can't stand your sword guy not having the highest DPS, as if that means anything in a ROLEPLAYING game.

That's a really interesting way of spelling "boo-hoo".

Haven't seen it before, didn't know there were variations on it like that. I'm impressed.

Hahaha, go fuck yourself.

...

...

>Except for anti-magic.

You just not casting hard enough

That's not how you samefag, my new and young friend.

3.0 actually worked fairly hard to give each class their own thing and most classes were a lot closer to the fighter. It's biggest problems were a number of problematic spells, some unclear rules, the druid/cleric and wizard.

3.5 was fucked up. It somehow managed to make class imbalance bigger, fuck up the rules harder and only fix like three of the broken spells.

That's the worst thing about 3.5. If you come across an anti-magic field as a caster, you can just walk out and cast conjuration effects into it.

The Fighter? He's fucked because his magical sword is a toothpick now. The Wizard? He just summoned a big ball of lava and threw it inside.

OK.

Right. To samefag the posts need to be 1 minute apart. Three of those were less than a minute apart, which would imply they were different people. If you do that, how will people know you're samefagging?

This is going to be a GREAT thread. [/sarcasm]

What kind of dipshit DM allows effects created by magic to function in an antimagic field?

Professional samefag here, we ain't telling you our secrets.
