three edgiest, most underage tier ideas yet every fucking setting spams them

I cast 404

The important thing is you condemn others for having fun and focus more on the percieved incorrect way people are having fun.

Fun is a codeword for casuals I won't allow my game to be spoiled by fuckwits who even entertain the thoughts about such retarded concepts as ''fun'' or ''happiness'' I always carry a knife with me exactly to cull such assholes on the spot before they fuck everything up.

OP, you have to actually have friends willing to play a game with you before you get to complain about it.

>three edgiest, most underage tier ideas
1. Anything that challenges my world view is bait
2. le trashman meme
3. SJWs are trying to steal my hobby

Damn right brother let's kill some heathen elves for the glory of Not Jesus with our katanas or go to Not Valhalla while trying.

>paladins
>People dedicating themselves to upholding good and justice
>Edgy
I had no idea that superman was an edgelord.

>Obscure races
>Unnessesary exposition on sexual preferences and identification
>Katanas

You. I like you.

>edgiest, most underage tier ideas
We have enough 40k threads.

>paladins
>edgy
found the edgelord in denial

They are basically crusaders and crusaders were edge made manifest.

He's probably one of those guys who takes the memes about Paladins all being Lawful Stupid smitebots who murder anyone who jaywalks at face value.

Obviously bait, but how do you consider paladins edgy?

the WILL OF GOD is not edgy you PAGAN

>Crusaders had magic powers

Yeah, no.

The will of GOD isn't. The will of Pope Urban is,

>Dirty Saracens posting on Veeky Forums

DEUS VULT

Pope Urban is a righteous man who united Europe against the infidel threath

I know this is probably bait, but how the fuck are paladins edgy? They're knights devoted to justice and chivalry. That's pretty much the opposite of nothing personal trenchcoat man.

Have you ever looked at Warhammer 40k's Imperium? Sometimes it seems like Veeky Forums is transplanting their paladins from there.

Paladins are certainly cringey autist bait, I'll grant you that. 100% of paladin players are cancer, they always long for nothing more than intraparty conflict, and do whatever they can to fuck up any sensible plan of action.

Nice samefag

...

Found the heretic

some players take the read lawful instead of lawful good
i like to think it comes from paladin players that got shove in too many paladin falls situations by shitty GMs

>everyone who upsets my tender feelings is the same person
Grow up, you simpering ingrate.

>The will of God
>Will have a typical center-left American morality
>Will wear a toy Batman mask and stop rapists and pedophiles as if that was not the thing to do back in the medieval era
>Probably even lets gnomes use our bathrooms... what a cuck.

I wish Veeky Forums understood the meaning of the word edgy.

What if I have a race of Not!Japanese from Not!Scandinavia who have a deep connection to their lord, and thus have a prevalence of Paladins?

>american
...riiight

Then you're 12 years old and should leave this board.

sounds sexy

>Samurai raiding Nordic coastlines in longboats talking about Valhalla

Can somebody please make this a banner.

Cause they're cool as fuck. Even if they weren't ripoffs people would just claim they were because they share one or two traits.

>Longships? Must be Viking-fags.
>Highly honourable and complex civilization? Must be Japs.
>Likes axes and drinks? Must be Viking-fags.
>Has a sword and wields it with faith? Must be a smite-happy edge Lord.

People are going to call you an underage weeabo edgelord whatever you do.

It's not that vikings liked axes the swords were just simply too expensive for most of them.

The only edge made manifest is my fucking longsword

screw this i'm stealing it, i'm absolutely stealing it

I love how OP came here to bitch/bait about shit he hates and we wound up getting worldbuilding ideas from it.

Happens a lot, now that I think about it.

>Happens a lot, now that I think about it.
and that's fucking amazing

Somebody did a really good point similar to this in the "Required Readings" thread earlier this week in regard to Eragon.

I really wish I had screencapped it, but it mentioned how a good part of a setting is kind of like making a cake. Looking at something like the White Walkers from Game of Thrones, they combine elements from Wendigos, Fae, etc. Someone who's skilled at writing can meld these things together and get it to set up in just the right place.

Tropes are like ingredients, if you meld them the right way you wind up making something new and fresh again, that's a defining trait of a good writer. A bad writer presents the tropes at face value, as what the poster described as "Serving someone a plate with three uncracked raw eggs, a few cups of sugar and a bag of flour" on it.

Careful, less the Paolini Defense Force creep into this thread too.

>Fun is a codeword for casuals
You sound like a baptists minister.

Swing and a fucking miss there, friendo.

Oh, shit. You're right.

Disclaimer: I've read all four of the Inheritance Cycle books and determined them to be okay. They were neither the worst thing I ever read, nor the best.

Book 1 was a 3/10. They slowly climbed in quality so that book 4 was a 6/10.

>I wish Veeky Forums understood the meaning of the word edgy.
It's a synonym for "autist" and "cuck", right? Definition is "I'm upset!"

>"Serving someone a plate with three uncracked raw eggs, a few cups of sugar and a bag of flour
I'm now imagining Cutthroat Kitchen but with D&D

Whether or not you're the person who capped and reposted my post the first time, or someone new, I just wanted to tell you that seeing a screencap of my post makes me happy.

Would a Game if thrones set in the crusades in the holy lands ve good? Countering sacricen aggression and keeping your 'house/troop/men/logistics' in order?

It wasn't me, but I was in the thread where you said it and another user capped it.

To be fair, the way Veeky Forums goes on about them, they're pretty damn edgy. That whole JUSTICE! meme and such.

That's really just a joke.

I've only ever seen a handful of people sincerely defend this idea paladins are supposed to be death before dishonor smite bots.

I once played a paladin, and had fun.

Was that wrong?

Should I not have done that?

Everything other than Roran was generic schlock

It's alright at best, and even then it's as popcorn fantasy as it gets, and not even the best popcorn fantasy you can find.

And this is coming from someone who considers himself a fan of the series

>I had fun
You should have never done that.

is that... is that a crocodile with a nuke strapped on to it? Why? Crocodiles are not good at delivering shit.

>Japan, Vikings, Paladins
>Edgy at all.

Here's your (you). Kindly go kill yourself, faggotronic.

>just a joke
The fuck it is. Literally every paladin I've ever played with or GMed for has been a braindead killbot interested only in murdering whatever he can detect as evil.

>>paladins
>edgy

Where's your punctuation? Did you cut it off with all that edge?

Get less shit players.

>is that... is that a crocodile with a nuke strapped on to it? Why? Crocodiles are not good at delivering shit.
No, it's an alligator. The pic is shooped; the original is Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

>ITT: people who can't detect irony

Irony is something that is funny due to a contradiction of expectations. Like a fire station burning down or choking to death on a cyanide pill.

You were just shitposting.

goddamn, Veeky Forums is the most easily baited board, I swear. Dis nigga ain't even trying!

...

It's not even bait. It's just sarcasm.

>vikings
>guys who were raiding defenceless monasteries and villages
>not edgy

If I wanted to be edgy i'd play a child whore.

Vikings are just pretty easy to build a campaign around.
Paladins are not edgy.

...
