Post Apoc Megacorp Maticico Remnant civ quest 14

Rolled 76 (1d100)

Last time we finally ran into a remnant from the same megacorp of ourselves. We moved to a new area that while dangerous holds great riches. We established our bases and started to look around to see what we could find.

Bump. Yay Genie's up

Rolled 56 (1d100)

Action 1 + 2
Our building superstructures have been built. now to just rebuild the actually stuff inside/around it.

BEGIN THE RECONSTRUCTION! Of everything.

In order:
1. The Corps manufacturing
2. The Heavy Construction Facilities + Pre-Fabrication fields
3. The outer defenses built by BANE a while ago, that weren't part of our original facility (unless those were included as pat of the superstructure).
4. SAMFAP Artillery networks for all our bases
5. The military facilities (Artillery Academy/Tank Training Ground/Power Armor & Combat training facility)
6. Paramilitary Hotel
7. Food Monster Colloseum
8. Hydroponics
9. Think Tank Stuff

Is that everything we used to have?

Rolled 89 (1d100)

>rebuild everything in the places we found
"Jal, you around buddy? I have a small question, have you kept in mind our request for you to build a thermal spike? If it is too much considering the move we understand but we still need to consider future power supply's and we will need your consolation."

Rolled 67 (1d100)

Alright our build/bases are built. Lets get our machines back. Ginny Bobo you knew the tower well.

Action 2 Lord get some surveillance up. We will need to make sure unknowns don;t move with out our knowing.

I think so. Just not sure if you mean lab when you say think tank stuff.

Well, we had a minefield that we failed comically at installing. Can't think of anything else, but I don't know if non-bandits will like the Colosseum as much. Might be better to rebuild as regular fast food shops. But still experiment with the food monsters on the side.

It's like having Pokemon duels.

Only instead of getting paid for winning you get to eat the loser's monster.

Rolled 10 (1d100)

The modified corps manufacturing has started to be rebuilt.

"Now its easy. Don't even technically have to build one just hijack or jack into one of the many preexisting. Might be a pain in the ass to ship the energy around though. Fall did a real number on the systems."

"That's just great!

I don't know if there are any aquifers around, but I think if we get connected to the upper reaches of the mountain the frost can be made into water.

JAL, how about this. Do you think given time you could try to take over one of the nearby mountains from the inside? I mean, like slowly fight off and kill any monsters that tend to dwell in those caves from the inside and make it safe for us to build on."

Rolled 15 (1d100)

Keep building!

>Don't forget to replace whatever material(s) that were taken out of things back in, we do not want inferior versions to what we had befoe

Rolled 84 (1d100)

Get Ginny and anyone else we have that can build on it. I'll back ya.

Rolled 10 (1d100)

Action 1
Ginny helps with the building. Use BOT-OUT on several workers in rotation and continue to improve inter human-construction bot cooperation

Don't forget to replace whatever material(s) that were taken out of things back in, we do not want inferior versions to what we had befoe

Rolled 34 (1d100)

Why, o why do the dice roll low. We need to rebuild and build up our strength. Then we get to build, trade and buy people.

Soon maybe the CEO can get us this valley as a foot hold into buy the city.

Rolled 6 (1d100)

"Water is easy. Highest concentration its indicated to be on the slope on the same side as the megacity. In other words the opposite from ours. In addition the megacity has extensive water sources. If necessary we can attempt to tap into some of the megacity's surviving systems or tap into the snowmelt of the mountain."

"Depends on the mountain. Retaking a mined out mountain or a mining mountain is one thing. Taking an untouched mountain is another. As for monster elimination while time consuming I can manage it. As well as harvest all kinds of goodies from the monsters. Unfortunately I have already detected evidence of intelligent monster wildlife including possible Brood."

"Also detected brood spores among a species of zombie. I can guarantee there is at least one brood hive in the megacity. Its fortunate the Brood has long been divided and also got their ass kicked by the Fall. Not to mention their incapability with tech."

"Gotta watch out for their magics and psionics. Especially biotech they may not be able to interface worth a damn with other techs and that is nothing but a blessing. My own Brood forces however do not suffer tech interface problem. Unique mutation due to founder who somehow managed to bypass the problem. No idea how she managed that. Got me infested to boot."

Then I suggest using construction materials.

Doing so with megacorp facilities and resources will garuantee an additional upgrade to all our new constructions even while only using common materials.

JAL suggests saving the rarer materials for special projects.

Rolled 96 (1d100)

How about this turn, since we've got our manufacturing up and running again...

Action 1
Manufacture construction tools (Burn a Construction Material)

Action 2
Begin constructing the SAMFAP network/defensive networks.

Hmm

Would it be more cost effective to have JAL try to make better construction toolbots, or more tools for the workers directly?

Rolled 40 (1d100)

How about

Action 1
Jal + Ginny
It has been noted that there are a lot of wrecks here and the terrain may be difficult due to previous heavy corps actions and warfare. I do not know how this compares to our last canyon place, but I think a good idea is for Jal and Ginny to develop construction exoskeletons.

Not as complex as warfare power armor, but more devoted to the duties of the engineer such as using Jaws of life to render steel apart, heavy hydraulics to life large weights, and an assortment of tools for the average worker as well as increased mobility.

This will allow our human workers the ability to keep pace with the robots who can go where normal humans can't. These will also include all the available construction tools we can think of and more than the average human can carry.

Then we can just produce more of these for our workers instead.

Action 2
outer defenses built by BANE a while ago, that weren't part of our original facility (unless those were included as pat of the superstructure)

If our normal defenses are up to par as they were before, begin constructing the SAMFAP network/defensive networks.

Rolled 44 (1d100)

Rolled 75 (1d100)

Unfortunately you are lacking the bane defensive tech. So you are unable to rebuild it. So SAMFAP began construction again instead.

Meanwhile Ginny reintroduced Engineering exosuit. She states there is an improved suit version that is sealed and meant for dangerous environments. There is also the combat engineer suits. However the only one she could show was the basic exo suits. JAL for his part notes that the Corps ALL had their own schematics for the suits and only the combat engineer suits were commonly seen outside megacorp hands. JAL ended up providing some better AI and improved interfacing tech for the suits.

Which made Ginny REALLY happy because the dire lack of AI has been driving her up a wall especially given the fact she never much bothered with learning to program with a damn. The interfacing in comparison was just the cherry on top. Bit ironic given the interface tech is some of the most advanced we have ever seen.

Clearly Think Tank origin as somehow its clearly not Super or Strange tech. No idea how the hell JAL managed to get a hold of such good tech the stuff would be worth an absurd amount even Pre Fall.

Ginny as a joke asked if he had good psyborg tech.

He stated he did and it didn't sound like he was joking...

Psyborg are infamously the hardest to manufacture borgs. Even bio and magiborgs are much easier to produce then a psiborg. It would appear that JAL likely has Think Tank origins or is a particularly advanced AI.

Which is strange AI of that level are very carefully imprisoned and used in specialized sites. Its entirely unheard of for them to somehow get loose. Unless we are talking a Superior origins or Ancient AI.

>and only the combat engineer suits were commonly seen outside megacorp hands
Any idea where we can get a hand on them?

Rolled 69 (1d100)

Technically speaking you have an incomplete schematic was found in the power armor files. Unfortunately it was one of the damaged schematics due to its usage part of the schematic got damaged.

Ginny meanwhile used the damaged schematic and her own memories was able to derive the exo suit.

However the other remnant we found DOES have those exact suits among their power armors!

and unlike our schematics they have the real complete thing. Their suits are even the upgraded versions designed for particularly hostile environments and subterfuge.

Unfortunately they only have the combat engineer suits and their suits were especially designed for their paramilitary force usage.

"Our schematics are not available for sale. Besides the bastards who build are shit are half crazy. I don't even think they even use or even plan for their designs and building."

"Shitty. Luckily we got some upgraded bots, mutants, and seasoned soldiers. Still though megacity is proving quite nasty."

>Meanwhile we have produced the engineering exo-suits.

How many?

How many of our population are capable of working in construction?

Rolled 15 (1d100)

Action 1: Continue building SAMFAP, we want an array in each of our bases after all (with the possible exception of JAL's hideout?)
Use the common material, naturally.

Action 2: Look into a system for collecting snowmelt from the mountains and piping it to our bases. Never too early to get a steady supply of water.

This reminds me we have psi engineers. Do we need to specify that we use them for them to do anything?

Rolled 82 (1d100)

Construction is the second most common profession among your people. The first being manufacturing and third is engineering.

Yes unless its a psi engineering project then unless they have different orders they'll auto assign themselves to that.

Your Psi Engineers are most adapt at obviously working psi projects.

Rolled 75 (1d100)

Yes, the common construction material.

Rolled 97 (1d100)

Generally it's best to collect resourcse only when need, and to focus on improving faster while the going is good.

Action 1 + 2
Next on our list is the military training facilities, but i have a better idea before that.

CEO, go meet up with Matar Sec, and take a deeper survey of their base. You're the lord of war, so it should be easy for you to figure out more of the things they are lacking in and want. Get some censuses, talk with their leaders, see what things we can provide or give them to them as part of our relationship.

We want to start getting closer to them.

After that, we can ask for their assisstance with the facilties even further.

Rolled 52 (1d100)

Can we take a quick poll of our hero units to ask them what they think we should do at this point?

We still have
Military Facilities (Training areas of all sorts)
Mercenary Hotel
Food Monster Colosseum
Hydroponics
Laboratory Facilities

To go, but that'll eat up a lot of time. I want to know if any of our heroes can think of a more pressing issue than getting our shit back up and running.

pastebin.com/R9wK3vud

We can probably ask what they need. Yet it's unlikely we have the trust to be aloud to roam their base.

Yeah lets ask a question and see what's up.

Thinking we could have JAL work on more AI and automate some things if we have the skill to do it.

Rolled 2 (1d100)

"CEO, what does Matar Sec want/need. We want to get closer to them, maybe enough to get their help with building military facilities."

Rolled 25 (1d100)

"Truthfully Matar Sec is very busy but also very wealthy. They operate on one of the few operational rail lines around and they make a killing. Both literally and figuratively there is an awful lot of hostiles around but they get paid out the ass. Only problem they seem to possess is a lack of manpower. Their tech is also oddly varied probably from the lack of resupply they had to expand the amount of wares they were using."

Rolled 31 (1d100)

Hm will they allow us to lead people to them? Maybe we can get some train troops and they some more manpower.

Otherwise if they do not mind machines. We can make combat robots.

"Sounds to me like they'd be in the market for fertility treatments and maybe some armored trains or track layers. What do you think, CEO?"

Rolled 83 (1d100)

Action 1
Get to work on our Military Training Facilities (Burn a Construction Material Unit)

Action 2
Construct Exo-Suits til we hit the optimum number for the amount of people we have. Or, if we're already there then construct the food monster colosseum.

> lack of resupply
Elaborate on this CEO. If they are wealthy, how are they lacking resupply?

Rail lines you say, we would like to get into the rail business. What kind of rail line do they run?

Rolling

I feel it's parts to replace lost gear. We can build all of the gear they use from the corp.

"They are wealthy but some stuff people aren't willing to sell no matter the price. Not to mention all the action is exhausting their supplies and manpower despite the wealth."

"hi speed magnetic hover line. The former corp paramilitaries keep control of the only three working lines. Lots of cargo get moved through them and they get their cut. That along with other deals is how they keep operating."

>Not to mention all the action is exhausting their supplies and manpower despite the wealth.
>The former corp paramilitaries keep control of the only three working lines. Lots of cargo get moved through them and they get their cut. That along with other deals is how they keep operating
Good to know, very good to know.

JAL, remnid us again what is it we need if we want to produce more supplies?

Is it mostly an issue of Fuel still? Or can we improve it by building a Supply Assembler?

"Old World supply units are priceless. They contain a full set of stat boosters, spare parts, and old world materials to maintain or even boost tech. Everybody wants them but no one is willing to sell. At least at times you can get someone to cough up tech but never supply units."

"Its like trying to buy material units with resources. No one is ever going to be stupid enough to accept."

"It require old world logistics, resources, and materials to manufacture supply units. Only the old world is able to compile a supply unit."

Military training facilities under construction.

Exo-suits constructed.

Work on the Military facilities.

Ginny lets see if we can help resupply our paramilitary friend.

Rolled 13 (1d100)

Generally speaking old world stuff is not even worth bothering over unless you either plan to get 100 or devote entire threads worth to it.

Action 1
Continue to build the military facilities (Ginny)

Action 2
Continue to supply our construction worker populace with more exo-suits

Spend common construction materials as indicated for construction

Rolled 57 (1d100)

Not making supply Materials, but making part for the gear they use. We have the know how for their stuff. We are apart of the same corp.

We should help them and improve their abilities to help us.

Rolled 3 (1d100)

Ah, i see.

As long as it's within our scope, vote. We're giong to find out anyway.

Get JAL to help with producing supplies he's one of our biggest producers of thigns too.
