Veeky Forums opens EMA and builds sealed pools

Hello again fellow fa/tg/uys, want to open the rest of this box?

12 packs are left, just enough to make 2 more sealed pools!

Notable pulls from yesterday's 12 packs.

Mythics, rares, and uncommons.

Foils, commons, and one almost miscut card. So close!

First sealed deck, which probably wasn't very good!

And second sealed deck, which went a little better.

And best pack of the day.

Hopefully we can beat the high score!

So without further ado, sealed pool #3!

Pack one.

Lots of green ramp! Probably like green best do far. Black is tempting.

Malicious affliction is an awesome instant. 2 targeted creature removals for 2 black mana? I want 4!

That token is pretty sweet though

Foiling.

Heck yeah it is!

Pack two.

Lots of mana fixing! No color really stands out to me in this pack. Eyeblight is nice removal. Jetting Glasskite is a solid creature.

Foiling.

Siege-gang commander is insane in limited.

Pack three.

Back is okay. Blue has some nice flyers. Red has some pieces for aggro.

Foiling.

Pack 4.

Aggro red with a black spell splash is starting to look good.

Foiling.

Pack four.

Still red black I think. That Peregrine Drake is tempting though.

That looks fantastic in foil

Foiling. Nice blue effect!

Please keep opening packs like this you're a cool guy and stuff

Pack six. Last pack of the sealed pool!

Foiling.

Red black or red blue I think. Red black would be more full blown aggro. Red blue would give me some bigger dudes on the back end. Hmm, decisions. Brb building my sealed pool!

Feel free to share what you would build!

So here it is! Not sure it would be very good, but this is what I'd play.

Ended up going grixis. Red for fast goblins and haste creatures. Blue for some big flyers and counterspells, and black for removal spells.

These are all the creatures. Black didn't have any creatures I liked.

Spells.

Black removal and a card draw. Blue counterspells and Silent Departure to get around an echo or get an extra goblin token. Reckless Charge for face damage.

Colorless and mana fixing. Plus 14 basic lands, 17 lands total.

Ashnod's to eat echos I don't want to pay and goblin tokens.

Rollup of the deck. Feel free to critique!

Last pool!

How much profit do you think you made from these pulls?

Pack one. Mythic! Don't have that card. Seems fun to play in green EDH!

White is interesting. Token pump and Pacifism. Also like the Wee Dragonauts.

Foiling.

Pretty certain I'm not profitable haha.

Pack two.

White is still okay. Good spells in blue. Ichorid is yelling 'Hey come build a deck for me!".

Foiling.

The mana is going to make you lose more often than not.

Pack three. Crater Hellion, such a badass Timmy card!

White still looks good, has some synergy with the green pump enchantments. Blue is still keeping my attention.

Foiling. Super hard to photograph.

Pack four. I'd love to play Future Sight in EDH. Seems bonkers!

White tokens with pump? No one color has really won me over yet.

Foil commander! I'd try it.

More almost miscuts. So close!

Depending on the last two boosters, I'd love trying G/W Enchantments.

Pack five. Unexpectedly Absent seems disruptive in EDH.

I need some creatures!

Foiling.

Slightly off topic but I played in a local draft for Eternal masters. It was a small one but I won it, and got 3 extra packs. Then I pulled the card in the picture, foil. Should I hold onto it? Sell it? What can I reasonably expect to get?

And pack six. Last pack!

I really have no idea what I'm going to build. Going to check out white green first, then go from there. Brb, deckbuilding!

Nice foiling!

G/W Enchantments definitely.

SCG says $400, you can probably get at least $200 in trades.

Ye, I checked how much cash Star City would give, and they offered 225 cash. I just wasn't sure if that was about as much as I could expect or if holding onto it would be better?

I didn't get a chance to open any EMA, so this was a lot of fun. You got some nice pulls too OP

Green white it is!

Creatures aren't super impressive. Go wide early and then use Silvos as a finisher.

Spells.

Pump, pacify opposing minions, and some tutoring.

I think with all the elves and the regal force Green black might have been a better choice. that's just my opinion though.

Deck roll up. 17 lands total. Probably more fun to play than highly effective!

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed building sealed pools!

And a box rollup.

4 mythics. Above the curve!

20 rares.

16 notable uncommons.

5 'notable' commons.

24 foils.

2 rares, 5 uncommons, and 17 commons.

And 24 tokens.

Thanks for reading!

I am not a rich man. I opened 4 packs, two bad (Jareth, Arcanis, jank common foils) and two good (Vindicate/Cabal Therapy, Sensei's Divining Top/foil Chain Lightning).

So far so good desu. At least the good packs paid for the bad ones (plus themselves) value-wise.
