Post Apoc Megacorp Maticico Remnant civ quest 23

Last thread

We unleashed a zombie apocalypse
Saw a duel of villains
Witnessed the gates to death itself open
And got transported by a giant flying rape train to a new place in service of an evil organization headed by a monstrous abomination CEO little girl

All in all another day in the post apocalypse

Bump

Would this be more accurate now? not that we know what that central thing is but the general vibe feels right.

Or even this

That's better.

I still don't have an idea what the general landscape is like though.

Rolled 79 (1d100)

I like it.

Rolled 39 (1d100)

Action 1
We shouldn't leave projects half done.

Lil'P work on flying transport + shields and weapons design. He knows a thing or two about engines at least

Use a common (normal) material

We shuold just keep researching the designs we need for things, then build them when all the blueprints are ready. Plus we have to wait for JAL so we have his brood forces

Action 2
Ginny, use one of our Robot Materials and try to improve our resource collectoin robots. Maybe we can make them require less security or harvest more resources quickly

Rolled 47 (1d100)

I agree but as an additional thing I want our Spec Ops guarding our heroes and locking the base down.

Roy says something is up I believe him. Have our Psi nulls ready to deploy wherever they are needed at a moments notice.

Rolled 8 (1d100)

Wait a minute don't warlords get a WAR action specific to them?

>War Action
Roy is having a "bad feeling" so let's treat it seriously.

Warlord Axum, maybe you can shed some light on the matter. Are we in any danger? We have been infiltrated before. Twice in fact.

Sarah and our Psions help him figure out what's scaring Roy

Biggy, Agents, and the bandit bodyguards keep a sharp eye out while on patrol.

Fate point this, its no time for half measures spend enough fate points to make it an Unnatural 100

Fatepoints do not work that way. Remember 3 (or four?) fatepoints per every 100 and they're not exactly equal to 100.

We've also stopped earning them for some reason.

Rolled 64 (1d100)

Voting this

Rolled 24 (1d100)

Rolled 19 (1d100)

Rolled 10 (1d100)

If i make a mistake or miss game day is how fate points are earned.

Also art and other impressive feats.

...I did give out the bonuses for the recent art right?

Well not for the Glowy Joe pic...hm.

...fuck I got distracted by the dice clusterfuck so I forgot that one.

Damn it.

The warlord doesn't offer a free war action.

Research continues.

Making a bigger bird is one thing but giving it rapid deployment is another.

Ginny works on upgrading the resource collection bots. They should be better now. Ginny thinks they'll require bit less security as she discovered jury rigging weapon applications among the Omitar bot materials.

Not all of them do. This one doesn't have it in their Traits.

Because we got those free ones from the days Genie didn't show up. This has been the only time we gotten so many.

Continue developing aerial transport

Action 2
Send out resource collection bots.

supporting because sick roll but you seen my 87?

HOLY FUCKING SHIT I DID IT

Rolled 43 (1d100)

... heh well I will hope for the best.

Your research is costing us loot. We only have 5 in a unknown area. We may want to find more resources before going on.

Action 1
Resource run. Since it's an unknown area we will have the warlord watch your backs. Get those bots moving.

>B. Try to improve Base

Warlord, Biggy we have been infiltrated Twice. Can you help us prevent that sort of thing from happening again?

Guys, wait a minute.

What if we just thought about buying designs? Using the CEO and SAL?

That might be more cost effective and true for a corps. Remember the "let everyone else do the work for yuo" advise

Does something happen if he calls his roll?

Rolled 36 (1d100)

Until Biggy give us more info from the scouting mission. We have Umbra to trade with at best. Also yes to would save us cost from not having to research it.

I really like to know why people want to run into not having resources/loot before finding more. Since with out saying anything it defaults to burning those. We have materials to pick from as well.

Rolled 50 (1d100)

A bit of a general concern over not having JAL's brood to cover us if we tip something of while searching, but you know what that's true. I think stocking up on resources before research might be wise.

Action 1
Ginny, go take a security force and our bots on a resource harvest run.

If you can, spend 1 Robot Material to try and improve either their security or resource collection Speed

Action 2
Roy is having a "bad feeling" so let's treat it seriously.

Warlord Axum, maybe you can shed some light on the matter. Are we in any danger? We have been infiltrated before. Twice in fact.

Sarah and our Psions help him figure out what's scaring Roy

Rolled 53 (1d100)

...Fuck.

Someone ACTUALLY pulled it off.

Called roll

Meanwhile for Internal Security...

"Lalala..."

"Who let the Warlord in?"

"Well wait he wasn't suppose to be here?"

"FUCK how long has he been in here?"

"Lalal I heard you guys like needed some better internal security. So I was like ain't dem corpies be all like paranoid in shit about that sorta thing? You know cause all the copyrighting and sabotage bullshit with corp warfare? So i was like BITCHES I TOTALLY need to see this shit!"

"YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO BE HERE!"

"EXACTLY MY POINT! Your guys security sucks why did you like forget about waking up the big guy?"

"Wai-wha? Everybody already is awake."

"Nuhuh ever heard of emergency backup internal security?"

"..huh?"

"Fuck me you never checked in back? I am talking this guy here, has like is own separate power source and everything!"

"...Well that would explain why he didn't wake up with everybody else...Wait how do you know about this?"

"Cause man this one time when we were-uh nevermind well anyway this dudes woke up and like TOTALLY kicked our fucking ASSES! So I was all like...wait a second why is that nifty thing here not on? So I was like I am gonna ask Sal because he is the MAN...i AM TOTALLY GONNA PUSH THIS BUTTON! He just found!"

Rolled 91 (1d100)

A. We don't know anyone we might buy from (except maybe Umbra?)
B. What are we going to pay them with?

That said, we shouldn't have started with aircraft anyway because they're very expensive.
What we should have done was gotten to work on the plasma shields and training our army to not be completely useless.

>I really like to know why people want to run into not having resources/loot before finding more.
Me too.

Vote and get a 76

Rolled 58 (1d100)

I don't think having the engineer out in the field is the best move, but sure.

Also the main reason I'm worried about running out of loot is what they can do for us. Loot can be used to raise any stat. Pop is one of those. We can use it to recover from all kinds of things.

It can be even used for craftier actions. Like making a credit card to buy things from a vending machine. A vending machine that sells guns or other wonderful goodies.

Well never mind the action change then.

Who the fuck just got woke up? an AI? A security team?

I think it's some kind of Matar Hero and his badass crew.

I'm also worried that we didn't find this after searching the base for things. I guess the CEO didn't get time to learn everything before put into his position.

I really damn hope so. Think his name will be Gregor?

Rolled 54 (1d100)

"Now to circumvent the external security...boot up and there we go."

Activating Exterior Security Protocols. Confirmed. Welcome Back Security Director."

"Good to be back darling. Now please wake everything up."

"How bad is the damage?"

"Extensive Director I am afraid I am the only AI who survived."

"...Fuck. How are my agents?"

"Operational Director. Should we activate them?"

"No. Just wake up the ops."

"Understood Director."

"Oh bring ALL the separate backup systems online. We got massively screwed over."

"Director if we activate ALL the systems we will no longer hav-"

"Just do it. What the hell are the back ups for?"

"Affirmative...All backup systems are now online."

"Any Damage?"

"Some Damages but that I can deal with."

Welp now we wait...newt turn will be raid for resources and expand flight bay. All in favor?

Rolled 30 (1d100)

Aye

Can we expand the flightbay on the mountain?

We're planning on turning it into a fortress airbase thing.

Wait a minute. . .

"Warlord you said the reason Bandits have mobile artillery platformsis due to not wanting to stay where you call down shit.

BUT

What if we turned our MOBILE mountain into an artillery fortress. We could keep doing what we loved, without staying for all the danger!"

As he said, our fancy artillery would still be an ammo waster.

Rolled 87 (1d100)

Tattoo Parlor Constructed.

Building new crafts.

Meanwhile at an unknown Umbra Facility a lonely young girl was seen alone at a table with 4 sets. Hers was however the only one being used as she slowly sipped at her tea. Eyes full of sadness as she looks over...at the increasingly few.

"Lady...your 'special' guests have arrived," one of them spoke up.

"Tell me do you not think in the end I will be alone? Truly alone...Umbra even under my control its a place of shadows and questionable loyalties...you have been there since the beginning, but who among you is truly loyal? Those few who are meanwhile...I am forced to send away for faraway tasks because they are the only ones loyal to me and hence I can trust. Yet only one refused...and he is now dead."

"..."

"Yet I do not dare to invite you to sit with me to my tea party...you all know the reason why don't you? Send them in. I will need of their services."

"Its not wise to send them out...its especially unsafe."

"Yes well I am going to do it anyway. I wont allow that damned Skeller take someone so precious from me again and they are the only ones who will do."

"We are stretched thin you sent out too much aid and have too many enemies."

"You think I don't know? Don't worry I wont be using precious Umbra assets. These guys...are my own now aren't you?"

As if on Que the...things had arrived, shuffling over to sit at the table, and groaning in response.

"Yes...you will ALL be perfect! From my own personal collection...you have a very important task."

"Do we KILL?"

"You will PROTECT."

"YOU?"

"Not anymore my precious darlings...there is another. For that reason of all my fine collection I have chosen you all. Do not fail me and beware Skeller. He is no doubt desperate to reach her. You are to NOT let that happen no matter the cost."

That was when she faced original occupants of the room. "Now tell me why do you think I let you see this? Come on now you know I can read your minds...yes even yours."

True.

I'm thinking we need to tone down the rate of fire on the RAGE systems. Doing that we can also increase the size.

I think that's what the Boomers were after.

It's akin to the difference between the MG42 and the .50cal. The .50 was able to actually penetrate light armor and cover and kill infantry just as effectively if not more so.

That sounds like a good idea, but I don't think we should pursue it until after we've gotten our forces up to Axum's standards.

Though to be fair he did say artillery would be good if we really needed to besiege something, and the mountain could make a truly fearsome siege weapon.

Rolled 48 (1d100)

"Yes...your wondering who these are? Of course you know of my personal collection...and yes this are from my PRIVATE collection. They are FAR more dangerous then you can possibly imagine! Pity I couldn't use them before...he would still have been here if I had."

"Now your purpose is this. Protect Rizal. Do not let Elton Skeller get close to her no matter the cost. Help her...Mature."

"YES MISTRESS..."

"Good my pets. Very Good...I thought long and hard on who I will send. As for the rest of you...Enjoy this message from me! Let it confirm your fears and suspicions as well as count as a message. Remember that I AM UMBRA and no matter what you try to do...you all exist solely at my own pleasure. Go on now...I am still that same old monster you all fear."

"Dismissed."

There the young girl enjoyed sipping her tea as slowly a cruel smile began to spread across her lips as she hummed then snickered at some private joke that crossed her mind.

We're not going to invest in more artillery research for a long time anyway but I have to wonder

>Stating that at such rates what it can't kill will waste ammo and what it can kill it doesn't need to spend that much ammo killing
What this specifically means.

I designed the RAGE such that the rate of fire means it could be made to cover a large area of ground, such as a field covered in zombies, quickly. It could be programmed to fire over miles of gronud in grid formation. A weapon of saturation.

I can see there are probably massive or huge things that normal artillery shells won't kill but is it not still effective as an "areal cleaning" weapon?

>Elton Skeller
HOW THE FUCK

CAN HE

STILL BE ALIVE

He got swallowed by the godamn DOOR of DEATH.

Also the other reason for the fast rate of fire was to be able to clear the skies of light aircraft with flak shells.

But I can see that shielded aircraft might just null that.

It was the old guy who went into the door of death, not Skeller.

Rolled 20 (1d100)

Action 1
Use a very rare construction material to build MASSIVE airbases and airfields on top of our floating mountain, it will be our flying sky carrier for all sorts of aircraft small to giant!

Warlord help with this. I think the Warlord knows how to effectively place airbases.

Action 2
Is CEO and SAL still in the city? If not go out and trade some more drugs and manufacturing for LOOTS!

MAD
JOY

Use an uncommon construction material and a loot.

Develop the HOTEL of JOY! The funnest madhouse, and the maddest funhouse, built exclusively for our mad population.

This wonderful place will have silk beds, silk sheets, and silk padded walls, while the air will be pumped with drugs and aphrodisiac. It will be open to the bandit public as a place they can drop off their Madders for the day to mingle and meet up with other matters for a good time (just pay shipping and handling).

We want to make a place that shows the other bandits we're here to help.

Well shit, good roll user.

I REALLY HOPE WE GET SOMETHING LIKE PREEMO AGAIN

Rolled 78 (1d100)

>A1
>A. Raid
Because we need the resources/loot

>A2
>B. Try to improve Base
More storage space for our craft and better placement for them to be deployed effectively

Well thats that then

Wow swh is stretched out THIN. I'll bet we can leverage this, we just need to think for a second.
She is probably at her weakest so taking her out MIGHT be a possibility for some certain powers and we MIGHT just be able to open a hole using rizal as a distraction.
Or posibly go the other way, find a way to prove that we can be perfectly loyal to her AND have the power to be useful. The only candidate that I would think could posibly win a spot in swh personal inner circle is the CEO....
Or Jal. But jal would be a pretty big wildcard in this scenario but she hasn't expressly stopped jal from working with jal and I would imaging that them having broodyness in common that they may find that they work quite well together.. But I wouldn't exactly describe jal as loyal.
Remember loyalty seems to be the only thing we could offer. I doubt umbra needs our tech or resources.

We also have 320k pop so maybe we can make some of our dudes go do contracts for umbra.

This is rambly and I'm tired

I like Rizal more than I hate Jenny, in addition Jenny did spare V101 and fullfilled their dreams so I can sort of bury the hate from Memor destruction.

plus as a rule of thumb if we ever play a civ under anyone else, I always try for us to be loyal to the core

Rolled 33 (1d100)

Loyalty would provide a vital virtue to our otherwise amoral corporate raiders.

Since we developed the VTOL design, the Warlord also wants
>Fighters
>Gunships
>(sane) Bombers

On the topic of bombers I'm wondering what kind of bombers?

We can make fast ground attack fighter bombers

Big and heavy strategic bombers that carry a lot of big heavy bombs

Or we can go after flying ships that are like very low orbit spacecraft, able to deliver huge tons of bombs and can be heavily shielded and turrets and guns

Rolled 77 (1d100)

Under Ginny's direction our flight bay is massively expanded. Like...we have no IDEA that a single material could be stretched so far...Imagine what would happen if we used them regularly?

Or maybe Ginny had a kick ass blueprint she been hanging onto this entire time.

Meanwhile our resource collection bots bring back an ABSURD amount of resources, supplies, and even materials. Apparently this being a major old world trade center is no joke.

There is such wealth...just waiting there to be found.

CEO could force Jenny to the table with "let's make a deal" we know for a fact that she needs loyal powerful hero's. We could probably sell this civ straight up to umbra, hero's, tech, and all 320k population, for the single fattest payday ever. Then we retire the CEO to some badass ultra unbreakable pleasure bunker somewhere in the post apocalyptic equivalent of his own island in Dubai. That's a win condition in my book, to retire no longer burdened by us players with plenty of resources... Even though we would be aiding umbra massively into the future.

I always wonder why ultra rich hero's don't retire.

I wanna see if we can find somewhere for JAL to settle down once he gets here, if it needs clearing we can use it to bloody our new doctrine forces.

We have some kind of weird JAL shield for our tower right? I think soon we should make backup base shields. A plasma and a psi perhaps?

Actually, I'd like to ask Director Sarfos what he thinks of shielding our bases Also if he has other security recommendations..

bumping for the fourth of fucking july! almost here folks

I was under the impression that you designed the RAGE turret with such a high rate of fire so it could do multiple duties. For instance unlike BOOM vehicles which need supplementary sonic weaponry for close range duty our RAGE Tanks are pretty much just as comfortable and effective at frontline duty as artillery or anti-air.

The penalty of generalist units is that they lack specialty. They're more the fulcrum than the lever, problem being we currently lack a lever. The foundation is thoroughly in place though, I think.

Hey Genie, can we get some battlefield feedback on the performance of our vehicles equipped with RAGE and SAMFAP technologies?

Rolled 94 (1d100)

Action 1
Construct Rapid Deployment Craft, burn a Common Material.

Action 2
Train more spies under the CEO, the CEO's Spy/SpecOps Unit, Biggy, the Security Chief and our esteemed Warlord Axum.

I'm tired of being caught off guard by shit all the time. ALL THE TIME. We've tried sensor networks in the past. Watch towers, traps, scoutbots, patrols, they NEVER fucking let us know when something is coming soon enough and they're always fucking EXPENSIVE and get wrecked when trouble comes along.

I must re-state that I'm tired of it. So you know what? FUCK deploying our own sensor networks, we'll play dirty, train spies and infiltrators so everyone else's eyes become our own. With a cluster of heroes like this in charge of the training they'll be damn good at what they do too.

Rolled 26 (1d100)

I concur I vote over time we work on the following

>Outside
Cloaked pillboxes/small bunkers: contain a cloaking field and small radar/comms detection system. Have them set up with overlapping fields around our base

Cloaking field covering the entire base like what Omitar BLACK did when we were surrounded.

Our Artillary: Get it's sound muffed by the stealth field

Plasma Shields: I want us to be able to either power the fuck out of a single layer or use concentric ones, adjust to suit the threat.

Turrets and walls: Pretty straight forward

>Internal of the base
Armed patrols on sweeps along with random sweeps and inspections.

Camera's fucking everywhere: IR, UV, Xray, Night. all fed to the security AI.

Sealable bulkheads fucking everywhere i wanna be able to lock down every darn room if I have too.

Micro turrets that come out the roof.

Also might I suggest that we disbar the use of plasma rounds with any equipment until we've "earned them" in Axum's eyes.

I believe we should follow the Warlords plan first, then see how we can suppelement it.

Sadly, he doesn't follow the aesthetic I wanted us to do (that being WW1 future bandits that use Trench Warfare and Arty) which makes me very VERY sad but he is a warlord and so we must listen to reason.

In regards to the RAGE and SAMFAP artillery, he pounds out three main flaws:
>The inefficiency of the fire system. The shells are either too small to take out big things, or fire's too much of it to take out small things
This I think we can solve by developing a selectable fire mode rather than full auto. Where we can choose the rate of fire to fit the fire mission.

If we have a vast field of zombies we need to cover, we can fire many shells over a large area. But if we just need to blow up something with a small fire mission we can select fire as well.

Incresaing the accuracy is also a must to reduce it's inefficiency. The Saturation fire is only good for those massed enemies otherwise for single targest he's right it is a waste. Not only developing select fire but creating more advanced smart shells so we only need to fire "one shell one kill", perhaps gudied by both robotics and psionics.

The shells themselves need to also pack more punch so they can kill bigger things. As mentioned the difference between the MG42 and the .50cal.

All of these will not only be useful for the purpose of base artillery, but also when we plan to deploy RAGE and SAMFAP systems as front line tanks to combat other tanks too.

>Noise and aggro
This is actually the key flaw. I am of the belief that the Artillery Bandits collected magic and psionics and were developing silent artillery or suppressed artillery for this purpose

>The need to "shoot and scoot"
I hope to use the mountain for this. He did say that choosing a mountainous area where zombies and monsters had difficulty climbing was also a point in their favor. And we have a flying mountain

But in general, I think this warlord guy is more of an attacker than a defender.

As for the internals of the base we should listen to a combination of security and the warlord

Alright, I'll switch to this.

Don't be a fool, we need every advantage we can get. But we do need to train like hell and equip everyone with plasma shields.

Yes. As I said, we should ask Director Sarfos for security recommendations.

We certainly do need every advantage we can get, but I think Axum's point is that...well Plasma makes it too easy. It's like giving someone who's training to be a sharpshooter a shotgun. They'll never learn how to actually shoot.

So, on a temporary basis I propose suspension of plasma privileges except for SpecOps forces. Learn how to shoot first then once we're not super green we can re-instate plasma rounds.

Also lets us build a stockpile for when we need it.

I think he more means if we spend $1000 dollars to give a fancy plasma gun to joe the factory worker who will just probably get gibbed by it we really need to either turn joe the factory worker into an actual soldier or give it to one.

Although to be fair that basically describes the same thing you are saying.

>Functional Rating for Megatower now at 87%.
I wonder if we can get that back too 100 with the backups being online and materials we have.

Also after the turn of training. I think we should have the Warlord and Security Director go over our people. It should help them if we let them check over our people for a turn or two.

Rolled 16 (1d100)

I figured that after we take however long it takes to train the spies their first task would be, with the Warlord, Security Director, Biggy, and JOY, to sift through the populace.

Quarantine those who fail to give to JAL. He loves that sort of thing.

Rolled 71 (1d100)

Brutal, bruh.

Rolled 17 (1d100)

Wait, you're suggesting this because you think it's what Axum wants? That's not what he said. As opposed to your analogy, our troops having plasma is like giving a sophisticated sniper rifle to someone who can't sharpshoot for shit.

If he actually does want to suspend usage of plasma weapons, then by all my means we will do so. But he didn't say we should. He said it was wasted on our troops.

bump

I hope that whatever Genie's special event for the 4th is it involves a lot of explosions and freedom.

Hmm...Oh god I hope what I just thought of doesn't happen.

I'd almost wish we could fire our artillery with fireworks.

We get a hero called captain America. Then we have to face super villains left and right. All while planning the for the best night out our dates could ask for?

I feel like we're more the villains than anyone else.

Oh, I wonder if those supervillains we freed will come into play.

I would love to see what havoc they're wrecking in the canyons.

Surprisingly we've done some absurd stuff and gotten away with it.

If part of the Megacorp faction MO is to GTFO when they feel like it's no long profitable then we've definitely earned some point in Megacorp Mastery by now.

Anyway, let's be productive.

>Military Goals
-Train our soldiers better
-Shields on infantry (Plasma is most desireable)
-Multiple shields on base+vehicles
-Better drones (we've got AI heroes now)
-Internal Security
-More Flyers
-Gunships
-Non MAD Bombers
-Fighters
-Helicopters/VTOL
(X) -Flying Troop Carriers w/ Rapid Deployment
-More ground vehicles

>Non-Military Goals
-Continuing improvement to resource collector bots
-Increased trade/attraction facilities
-????
-Profit.

>Immediate goals
- Scout out the map more. Put factions and monster/zombie nests on it
- Get details on the terrain. All we have is a grey map that doesn't tell us what the terrain is like at all
- Investigate the cityscape. Who lives there anyway? What's it like

>Mountain
-Place Armor Plating on the mountain
-Airfields
-Infrastructure? Turning it into a military base/fortress as well as possible township

>Long term after finish the military
RAGE improvements:
-Select fire / RPM modulators
-Psionic/Computerized accuracy (One shot one kill / efficient saturation)
-Artillery Silencers
-More powerful shells/calibre + smaller calibre selection to reduce ammo waste (shoot big things with big guns, little things with little gun)
-"Insane amounts of ammo"
-Omitar reverse engineering

-Build all of that on the mountain fortress for movement

RAGE tanks:
>see above (select fire/psionic accuracy)
-Test effectiveness of AT autocanon against enemy tanks
-General redevelopment of the heavy tank design

>Other
- Contact cultists to research the Death Door, in case Skeller comes back
- Give part of the Miasma to Umbra for Death Research

On the topic of the Death Door and Death Miasma I totally have this idea to become the not!Gozerian society from the Ghostbuster video game.

Dealing with ghosts, and souls, and death via science and technology and arcane cults and runes

We even have psionics!

Uhh.. I kinda agree with the warlord that we should calm down on the artilary.
The psionic artilary silencer is the only artilary project that I am really interested, otherwise I really want to mobilize our infantry better. Remember bandits aren't true "infantry" I want to go through an old man blame style "show these sorry suckas how it's done" training period of at least 5 turns maybe more

first you go fast

Rolled 44 (1d100)

Maybe we should get electro plasma, but how?

Should we first research other forms of weaponized electricity? Just find someone willing to sell the tech to us?

The artillery will be shelved for later I can see that for the most part we will be focusing on squaring away our army.

More of a side project / icing on the cake than the bulk of our strategy.

He has dropped hints that artillery can be useful, but not in the conventional sense and not in the way we currently use.
>"Why do you think Bandits keep their boomies so mobile?"
>"SO we can RUN THE FUCK AWAY
>"God what I would of given for artillery that doesn't cause such trouble.
>"So unless you got the insane ammo stockpile to never stop shooting
>and walls high enough that it doesn't matter how big the corpse mountain
These right here are future guidelines for improvements.

Omitar and the Arty bandits showed it too.

There's also the fact that the RAGE system isn't just an artillery system but also an autoloading tank gun to fight enemy tanks.

After we've produced all the Warlord asks for our forces, we can at least redeveop the RAGE specifically for our heavy tank spam. As an autoloader, Five shots in five seconds could mean five dead tanks (or five dead gunships) given the right accuracy and penetration power.

That'll probably be where we start when we dust this off the shelf after the military is rebuilt.
