OC Thread: Yargle Flarg edition

Welcome to the Veeky Forums OC thread.
Last Thread: Tell us about your characters, new and old. Let's hear some stories of valor and glory and build some legends in here.

>THIS THREAD IS FOR SHOWING OFF YOUR FAVORITES FROM YOUR GAMES AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
It's like the Storythread, but centered on characters that we all know and help make. Your Original Character can be any character you've played, are playing, or want to play!

>WHEN POSTING YOUR OC
Give us a little blurb about your character, tell us about them. Or if you want to make a new one with us, just tell us a basic concept.

Write and share stories about each others' characters. Draw and share pictures of each others' characters.

Ask questions about other anons characters and get to know their stories, and tell us all about your own.

Need help developing a new character concept? Ask away! Answering the periodically posted Development Questions can often help, so look for those.

This thread is intended to be all in good spirit, so please remember to be excellent to each other, and try to contribute in some way.

>IF YOU JUST NEED CHARACTER ART, GO TO THE DRAW THREAD
There are more artists consistently there that are actively looking for requests to fill, that's not the case here. Artists are still free to contribute, however.

Sir Aaron Annesly is a noble of in Water Deep. He is infamous for constantly spending time with those below his class, despite his upbringing. His family is known for their pride in their bloodline, and their distaste for watering it down with nonhumans, most so with half breeds. Aaron has shown little to no care for this, however. He spends far more time amongst the merchants, learning their trade, and has the ear of the city guards. He is rarely seen without his squire, Patsy. Patsy is a bumbling idiot, but Aaron bears with him since the young fool was recommended by Lea, a young half elf noble Aaron spends FAR too much time with. To add more to his family's shame, he has been spotted with an elf of ill repute named Soren, and Mentis, a gnome wizard known to be... Off. Aaron is a skilled fighter, taught fencing from a young age, and has also focused on bolstering his allies, and battle field tactics. His enemies are the cult of Tiamat, at the moment. They had been smuggling dangerous creatures and items into the city. His investigation into the smuggling, with the help of a certain criminal, unearthed a far more malevolent plot. He has bright red hair, and a fondness for green clothing.

Mordin Kainen La Rouge is a happy go lucky illithid and self proclaimed hero. His other titles include Knight Tentacular of the Holy Order of the Tentacle, the Liberator of Elelphants, Psion Extraordiare, and in a small italian town, Spaghetti Man. This fresh faced young hero's goals are no more than to be a hero, and spread the good word of the tentacle. His traits include heroism, bravery, unsurpassed intellect, childlike innocence, and giving himself titles, and secretly being a dire polar bear. His flaws include obliviousness, foolhardiness, is literally 12 years old, gives the party unforgettable titles, and lacks opposable thumbs and can't fit through doors because hes a fucking bear. He is allied with Raptor Jesus, also known as Ketharuil, and a pasty little mage named Zaniel. His enemies include elder evils, bad guys and color yellow. His other relations are his adopted sister Charlotte, an aranaea weaver, and Kirahe, the paladin whose body he used to inhabit. He wears a magic item to look like his old form, as seen in the picture, but switched minds with a polar bear.

How To Be a Hero in 5 Easy Steps

bump

Name: Marc
Role(s): Shaman,
Goal(s): to kill the ones which killed two of his childhood friends
Traits: Very powerful earth moves (roots, stones), good with a hatchet, can summon spirit animal
Flaws: Shy, Anxious, runs out of Mana quickly
Allies: Old childhood friend Lucy (Warlock), Gary (Monk), PM-0 (Defender), Tom (Warrior)
Enemies: Everyone who wants to stop him from achieving his goal
Other Relations: N/A
Physical Description: He is about 1.79m tall with an average to slightly athletic build. He has extremely short, black hair.
He wears a cursed bark mask at all times along with a wolf skull hat and civilian attire which consists of a green jacket, some jeans and sports shoes

(Had to make pixel art because I have to wait until my request gets taken)

Early Story:
Marc was born in a small village up in the mountains. His family discovered that he has great potential for using magic, but he hated using it and didn't want to stand out in his village.
Everything was going good for the vilalge until slavers came...

Joshua Troy, Shadow Name is Ajax. He's a socialite, and a witch. A fatespinner. He's searching for answers as to what has drawn his compatriots and he together; why the threads of fate have had this pattern. He's overly protective, and that ties in with his pride. He's charismatic, and the closest his group has to a party face. He gets egocentric at times, and manipulates his friends, too. He blames it on the symbols he sees since Awakening, but he was always a bit manipulative. He also does not know when to shut up, which has gotten in trouble more than a few times. He's dedicated to protecting his friends, but he's also a terrible craven. His allies are his best friend Q, a sin-eater, Burke a werewolf FBI agent, the other residents of his condominium, and his bar's owner, Lucifer. His enemies are his father William, and a demon named Sin that has been playing chess with Josh and his friends as the pieces. He also has his younger sister, who he's raised, his mother who's gone missing, and his girlfriend Samantha.

what's the setting?

Layne Caeduin and the rest of her family had lived within the confines of an industrious city for some time, and for a generation before that. As a result, certain cultural trends had to be...tweaked. Like many elves, her family was a well-known line of Arcane Archers. But the tight confines of city streets are no place for a bow, and Layne understood this having lived there her whole life. Delving into the mysteries of technology from the city's local dwarves, as well as a few less wholesome magics taught by her aunt, Layne has become something of a self-styled Gun Witch. This strange corruption of the family tradition has not gone unnoticed, and does bring her scorn from her ancestors at times. Her auntie tells her not to mind them.

Most magical gunslingers tend to be more like a gunslinger who happens to also use magic. Layne is squarely the opposite; she is a witch first, the gun is merely another magical implement. The revolver is her wand, the gunpowder her alchemy, the smoke wafting from the still-heated muzzle is her ritual incense.

Of course, it takes a special sort of mind to come up with something like this, and Layne is notoriously inarticulate at times. The visions she claims to receive in the midst of her rituals both bless her with insight and shift her ever farther from the mindset of sensible folk.

Spurred on by her initial findings, Layne gleefully delves into all manner of profane things, if there are scraps of wisdom to be found there. She is often told that such unregulated study is dangerous and bound to get her killed. Her reply; that is precisely how one can tell the knowledge is worth seeking.

TAIKO

His blades bring death! A land in turmoil, a Throne with no Emperor, Lords forsake their duty to their vassals, dead who won't stay in the underworld, demons who have no shame!

In this land Evil is Law!

But even murders have their limits, faced with the endless depravity of a Kingdom succumbing to chaos the Catfolk cries out 'No More!" and turns his Bandit's Blade to Bushido!

Bonds of Brotherhood are Stronger than Steel but is it enough to break the ties of iniquity that keep justice from prevailing?

Samurai, Excorcist, Thief, and Sage. Will they calm the warring Nobles, put a new regent on the Throne, send the dead to a final rest, and bring unruly demons to heel or is this Land doomed to suffer Misrule for all time?!

not that guy but guessing shadowrun.

Brother?

From the game I'm currently running.

What kinda crazy shit is this? It looks equal parts horrible and good.

It looks crazy.

Mage the Ascension, m80.

So why those reality deviants haven't been killed yet?

Well for one, there's a truce due to the perceived bigger threats of Demons and Antediluvians. More importantly, though, all the Technocratic PCs are fairly rebellious/tolerant.

I've got an old OC I find myself revisiting, he was the very first non-human I played when I started to branch out.

His party couldn't quite understand the finer points of the Merrow language when they met, so they took the first part of his name and just call him "Itch", much to his distaste.

Itch worked for a time as a smuggler, using underwater channelways and caverns to get goods from one coastal city to another. He took work with the party who at the time needed someone with this insider knowledge to get information regarding some missing civilians that it turned out had been taken by dwarven slavers.

After finding and freeing them, Itch decided the party provided better work and more fulfilling adventure so he agreed to pal around with them long term.

He died shortly after.
I'm kidding.

If your OC had their own TV show, what would it be about?

Would they have any co-hosts? Guest stars?

We talked about something similar in the Discord once, but with YouTube channels.

Charlotte and Julia would do cute hair and makeup tutorials together.

>Highly secretive, powerful, dark sorcerers that dwell in ancient towers. Here is the dread necromancer!
>We're about to lift his vile of secrecy with a crack wizard capture team in the blighted, remote top end of the Wilderlands!
>We're searching for a master warlock, and we're going to slide holy avengers into some of the most powerful 'locks this side of the planet!

...

>And 'ere he is! Now, make sure you're in a good position, and that you have some way of approaching 'im.
>There! Be sure to grab this 'ere pouch and throw it well away, and watch for the staff!

My Weaboo as fuck Samurai that fights with a Bokken sword carved from the wood of a tree soaked in the blood of 108 vengeful angry oni demon spirits.

How very specific.

Is he already a demon?

No but he's taking revenge against the ones who played him like a damn fiddle.

Either a self-insert to keep to their niche of wilderness knowledge or an in-your-face tanky fighter/barbarian. It's a toss-up between going with what he knows and living out that party role he just can't do.
Arallios' Audience Suggestion Variety Hour. People send in what they want him and other members of the party or NPC cast to do/attempt/talk about. Would probably call it something stupid like "Extreme Truth or Dare".
Alternatively, something like no true ranger would ever pass up the chance to be some kind of Steve Irwin.

Chronicles of Darkness, actually.

>Name
Luvos Nichto
>Role
Planar Explorer, Diabolic Conjurer, Guest Villain
>Goals
To remain on the forefront of knowledge, exploration, and change. Luvos is in the process of writing a series of encyclopedias of planar knowledge. He is experimenting with means of achieving immortality and slowly perfecting his revenge against his wizard peers.
>Traits
Luvos has little respect for conventions. He enjoys the fleeting nature of comprehension and more enjoys the hunt for knowledge itself. He has demonstrated a frightening degree of patience and a somewhat obsessive personality. He is easily flustered. Luvos is attracted to forbidden knowledge and other things an authority figure says are dangerous this is derived from a desire to overcompensate and impress others by taming such dangerous things. Growing up as a half-drow raised by humans has given him an affinity for the taboo and makes him feel like a kindred spirit to most things labelled as evil and secretive.
>Flaws
In addition to having little respect for tradition, Luvos' time spent exploring the multiverse and planescape has left him reluctant to put any faith in the moral boundaries of any one plane. He has picked up the habit of introducing himself in fancier and fancier nonsensical titles. He believes he is the smartest person in any room but that everyone seems to know something he doesn't. Any attempts at appearing friendly are usually hindered by his creepy and overblown mannerisms, lack of social awareness, and the stench of brimstone clinging to his robes.
>Allies
Irya Sheen, his animated foot stool, and a clumsy broomstick.
>Physical Description
Luvos is an early middle aged half-elf swathed in several layers of dark robes, he is hooded at most times and has dusky grey skin which shows on his face and finger tips. His drow heritage has gives him his yellow eyes and aversion to sunlight. He has sharp features and poor posture. His teeth and nails are pointy but harmless.

It's always fun to see a character embrace the "all wizards are assholes" theme. Does he actually have a party he has to work with or is he a solo outfit?

Thanks! He started out in a party but the game ended after just one session now he's just a solo outfit, he was a villain in another persons module as a guest and now he's going to be the main antagonist in a game I'm running.

That sounds fun, it's nice to have a character you can sprinkle into pretty much whatever you want without altering them.

Yeah his personality and backstory is basically constant but it's interesting to see how much planar travel and stuff changes from setting to setting.

you're a dick lol my heart dropped at the first spoiler. itch seems like a cool concept to play what was his class, rogue?

Oh man, I remember this from the draw thread a looong time ago. Cool to get some story for it. Being an aquatic race seems pretty great for smuggling.

Haha sorry. He was a rogue, I went the arcane trickster route to add onto his illusions and all.

Yeah! He was my first ever delivery in a drawthread to receive, and from Souz no less.

• Name: Jennica Korr
• Role(s): Captain, CQC specialist
• Goals: Reunite the Empire, find father, ignore Force plot hooks until Inquisitors/GM force the issue
• Traits: Uptight, Stubborn, Aggressive, Loyal
• Flaws: Her aggressive and stubborn nature leads to unnecessary risks and have pissed off the wrong people. Combine that with an almost myopic view towards her objectives, both personal and mission-based, and she's led the party out on a limb more than once.
• Allies: A junkie Imperial Tie pilot, a Nosaurian mercenary, a hapless hired gun, an Imperial Warlord with more firepower than common sense
• Enemies: A rogue Inquisitor, a band of Mandolorians, at least one Imperial Remnant Faction, New Republic scum
• Other Relations: Her adopted father, the Imperial officer who got her into ImpInt, which according to different reports is either KIA, captured by the Republic, or working with the Republic
• Physical Description: A tall Cathar who takes pride in her appearance and uniform.
-Mary Sue Score: 10

I'll try to get a more narrative paragraph going later. Also, sorry I missed you in the earlier drawthread, Bog Roll. I'll be checking both threads if you have questions, and thanks again.

Okay, so some dev questions.
>If your character played in a tabletop RPG, what kind of character would he play?
I think Aaron would get a kick out of rogue trader, actually.
>If your OC had their own TV show, what would it be about?
Probably a mix of investigative reporting to show the corruption of the noble families, and stuff about market shares.
"Buy your furs now, because prices are just going to go up! Also, the Haedran nobility is funding crime at the docks!"

Hey guys, I really need some help building a character personality.

He's a vampire, but I want to stay out of both extremes of "edgelord broodomancer" and "awkward likeable dude" vampires.

Any ideas? I can provide a bit of detail through prompts, but the game won't be for a while so there's no in-game experience to reference yet.

Let's get a little more detail first.

Sorry you're right I guess I just don't know where to begin, since he's only a concept right now.

Give me 10 minutes or so.

Don't apologize. I want to help, but want something to work with. What do you want from the character? What's the system/setting?

Not much specifically other than to find the middle ground mentioned He was formerly human, it's a d&d5e basic setting.

I DO want it to have a kind of emotionally low feel, but not heavily so. Almost like John Constantine + Hellboy in a way.

I just made a request for him in the drawthread I wonder if the mental picture might help if you see it. I've decided to go a 'vampire hunting worse vampires' path with him which he thinks is his way of hopefully buying his way to heaven should he be killed without getting cured first.

How does that sound?

Yeah, lets see that.

It's this one I only just made the request so itxs the reference picture not a delivery. It might be a while before somebody does it.

So, while they're sound be internal struggle, it shouldn't be the primary thing. What's tying him to humanity still? WHY does he hunt?

Well my idea again is that he's trying to "buy" his way to heaven. Sort of like he believes his soul is damned because he's a vampire but he thinks if he slays enough of them maybe Pelor will show him mercy/forgiveness or something. He might be right might be wrong but it's what he thinks to be true.

In the meantime he does search for a cure, because obviously that would be the most assured way to heal his soul.

Funny you mentioned Pelor. There's a Pelor myth that says that he'd remove the curse if they asked for forgiveness.

I didn't know that. In the sake of keeping the character I'd rather he have to work for it or try his own idea. Maybe my character (who is unnamed still) is unaware of the myth, wasn't truly sincere in his pleas, or tried and the myth is just a myth.

>wasn't truly sincere
Now that would be interesting. Does he find he likes having a vampire's power?

Maybe on the inside, deep down, but not as a surface thought. I was thinking if that were true he doesn't realize it yet.

>Name:
Kaiger Stancaster
>• Role(s):
Barbarian, Lord of the Orcish Clans and keep the party on track
>• Goals:
Kill/seal the Demogorgon the Prince of Demon and civilize the Orcs
>• Traits:
Gung-ho warrior that's a mama's boy
>• Flaws:
He has a very short temper
>• Allies:
the Dragon's Bard,Marijuano Blaze the Dank Elf of Prophecy, the Crow's Nest, and a Dwarven city state
>• Enemies:
Demogorgon,Cultist of Talona, Pelor and his angels
>• Other Relations:
His sister Agatha frustrates him
>• Physical Description:
He's about 5'11 and has a slim atheletic build. He has short black hair and green eyes with a manly stuble. He wears red dragon scale armor, dragon horn bracers and a black wolf pelt(all of these things he's killed or had a hand in kiling). The wolf pelt looks worn and torn. His weapon of choice is a bastard sword of his own creation Moon's Terror, he smelted down a Death Knight's long sword and a deceased party member's bastard sword El Chakal. The blade's hilt is black with the pommel of a crescent moon and the in the center of the cross guard a side profile of a wolf howling with a red gem for an eye. Kaiger is arrogant and has a very short temper
>Development Question: If you're character played in a tabletop RPG, what kind of character would s/he play?

>If your OC had their own TV show, what would it be about?Would they have any co-hosts? Guest stars?
He'd either have a Crocodile Dundee type show where he's just hunting down monsters/magical creatures with his pet Hellhound. Or he'd have three stooges like show with the Bard and Marijuano.

>>Development Question: If you're character played in a tabletop RPG, what kind of character would s/he play?
Totally forgot to answer this one but Kaiger would probably try to play a lawful good paladin but end up playing Judge Dredd.

What was his life like as a human?

I haven't picked yet.

Probably either a simple hunter with an older mentor that collect game for the town they live in, or (what I think I like better) a low rank soldier whose unit was attacked by vampires while on deployment.

I like the soldier idea. Did he have any family?

His father and an older sister (by 2 years). His mother and younger brother passed away when a particularly nasty plague swept through the area and they had no money for healers.

I'm thinking he joins the army to make sure he can send money home to his remaining family to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'll also assume he has not been back to see them since being made into a vampire, perhaps they even think he was killed along with his squad. I like how this guy is turning out so far.

Awkward public access history show, where she stares uncomfortably at the camera for extended periods of time, speaking in a nervous monotone.

It helps a lot if you tell us who you're talking about.

Reminds me of the time I killed 200+ bears as revenge and also to possess my sword with an ego spirit.

Also checking out the OC thread, looks bretty good.

Looks like you cunts beat the request thread. It's dead, you're not.

yippie?

no one cares mate

Wait what? Lol that sounds like a story, wanna storytime it?

Not a competition, and the drawthread will be back up shortly anyway.

I could, but it's more /v/ related than Veeky Forums.

Fair enough, though I'm sure these guys would enjoy it regardless.

Alright, minor campaign update for myself, Charlotte is beginning to suspect the necromancer Marie's true nature. They've been fast friends so far, keeping each other in check but also teaching each other a thing or two in the process.

Marie shows the naive Charlotte that not all necromancy is "spooky evil witchcraft" and Charlotte in turn shows Marie that people can be understanding and open minded, given the opportunity.

Charlotte doesn't yet know that Marie herself is an undead spirit, raised by an unknown force. She gets a sort of aura from her, but has yet to confirm for herself her suspicions out of fear that she'll be forced to lose the only friend she's ever made outside of her city walls.

We've also managed to find a clue as to Julia's location, so hopefully by the end of Friday's game, a happy reunion has taken place.

Brand new art of Charlotte and Marie hot off the commission presses from none other than BigMSaxon, thanks a million dude!

oh man that's going to be rough to handle. how do you think she will react to knowing that marie is undead?

I love when you post this guy. any recent stories that you have?

why so many swords?

There's a drawthread up right now, what do you mean?

>Agatha

I know from personal experience no PCs or NPCs with this name can be good.

How Peter the Great is Kaiger going to go on the orcs?

>how do you think she will react

There's no way of telling. She's been told her entire life that undead are these mindless evil monsters, but she knows from personal experience that this particular undead is a good person. One who has helped free slaves and fought human traffickers.

It'll be interesting for sure!

Some NPCs just have those classic names and reputations. "Reginald" always means he will be a bareknuckle gentleman of some kind, in my experience.

Or a second lieutenant who will get everyone killed. It's right up there with Percival.

Every time lol.

He recently got to be the villain in a module ran by another person in the thread I haven't seen the logs from it but from what I understand Luvos was a terror to the party, summoning demons around them in their sleep, shifting giant library shelves to crush them and make the maze more complicated, eventually they ran away the first encounter and the pyromancer in their party did so by burning a giant hole straight through the library. Luvos blew a gasket about it and he doesn't even like evocation type wizards in the first place. I'm working on a new short story thing with him but I've been having a tough time with it. Here are the old ones pastebin.com/ZBf8sSx7 I'm working on a new picture of him right now too.

• Name:
Irya Sheen
• Role(s):
Witch, Planar Cartographer, Magical Shopkeep, Party Mom
• Goals:
Regain her prior power, as it was fractured within the many lives of other 'hers' within other planes - but, mostly? Irya wants knowledge as direly as a dragon wants a horde.
• Traits:
Wisened, snide, silver-tongued, maternal, and sharp as a tack.
• Flaws:
Paranoid, crude, drastic, obsessive, and too straight-forward.
• Allies:
A few of her Acolytes (other spellcasters she taught of 'leaping' about the planes), a few others who stride the spaces between worlds, such as an eccentric blue-haired alcoholic a worshipper of a strange, birdlike god, and a particular Luvos Nichto. Also commonly followed by a tiny, feathered dinosaur she bound to her.
• Enemies:
She's made many in her travels and fervent pursuit of knowledge, and her stigmata makes her easy to find for such.
• Other Relations:
Before she began walking, she was happily entangled into a strange relationship with a changeling by the name of Ravasaadi. Unknown to her, he's still trying to find her.
• Physical Description:
See picture (now in summer edition!)

Recent escapades:
>Narrowly avoided death from gambling (the DM said, had she have done it, he had rolled for a CR 9 demon to come out to smite her. This was at level 2.)
>Still stalking that paladin because she's really weirdly stuck between wanting to date him and dissect him.
>Laughing at the chucklefuck in the party stuck wearing a cursed Ring of Wizardry that involves paperwork.
>Will probably be getting a rendition of the Iron Giant coffee guy as a reaction image

>low leg bikini

I notice that a disproportionate number of players consider their characters to be the "voice of reason" or "team parent" or just the person "keeping everything on track." Is that because the people who micromanage their parties are the same type of people who post on Veeky Forums? Or maybe everyone in a party thinks they're the one sane one keeping everyone else in line?

here. Somehow, due to the DM picking my familiar's token as the map icon, I end up taking the lead on where to go/what to do for the party because otherwise they kinda just sit around.

That, and they'd rather dick around with the Wabbajack that the DM gave them and see what happens with it. (This has caused the ratman to lose his house and cheese, a tree to ignore laws of physics, and the monk to explode and regenerate -and- gain 50 pounds of baby fat in the shape of a baby)

Probably the latter, regardless if they are correct or not. From their perspective they most likely see themselves as the leader of their respective group.

In my groups, I always enjoy being the party face in social encounters, but I let the beatsticks and soldiers handle field strategies and plans.

>The D&D movie they're making is a mockumentary, with everyone telling the bard their side of the story
>everyone says they're the party leader

I think people who do say "I'm the group mom" typically have more of an emotional investment in the game.

That being said, everyone is their own main character, in tabletop as well as real life. While the wizard might think that their spells are what saves the day, the barbarian knows their strength keeps the enemies at bay, the rogue knows their wits keep the traps, both real and social, disarmed, etc.

The first part of your post I find to be mostly true. The second part entirely. Every player I've worked with tends to view themselves as their own main character, which is perfectly normal and fine provided they understand the spotlight isn't theirs to run 100% of the time.

Well, Keth is a voice of reason in that he's a moral center for the group. Cleric and all that. He became party leader through no decision of his own, though. When another group asked, everyone just sort of thought for a minute, and then said it was him.

I haven't seen Wellyn posted in here in a while. I was hoping to eye some new stories with him. Magic investigators are always cool.

He's been pretty quiet in the chat too.

one part battle trophies one part use. one reacts in the presence of evil, one does the same for good, one burns when exposed to air, one is cold enough to freeze water at a touch, etc.

Hey yall, interested in producing some lineart for anons without any art yet but it seems to me either everyone has art in this thread or I can't find where you guys are posting your character descriptions.

I'm two word-request user from the drawthread, Pic related is what you can expect in terms of quality if you're interested.

How do I formulate my Jedi Knight?

>tfw I posted my character description in the draw thread
>tfw you it didn't appeal to you

Well can you tell us more about the game or when they're a Jedi knight?

Nothing personal, man

How about

"Tactical Vamphunter"? I know it's a stretch on the two word rule. Catzilla did this for me but gave up on the full body and told me to keep the request open.

Here's the request in the drawthread if you find yourself interested in the full thing.

My character, is lacking in the art department. Don't have much for reference.

That moment when the OC thread attracts new artists.

Yeah but how long will they be interested in drawing your same "OC" over and over

Kay Clarent is a noble in hiding. Hailing from a corrupt nation, twisted by devils; his ideals made him stick out. His family was more kind to the peasants on their land than the rest of the kingdom, but only just so. Kay made it a habit to spout his ideals in the courts, arguing with other nobles about the rights of the people. In the end, he was to be executed. His Lord, and step father, pleaded to instead strip him of name and title. Thus Kay lost his surname and home. However, he has taken it upon himself to still protect his family and people. He has since donned an iron mask, and has assumed the role of a scarred servant to his sister. His allies include his family, despite arguments; Vargas, one of the banner men of the house and Janus, a fellow servant. Kay strives to bring justice to a land under a vile rule, and this has made him quite a few enemies. He has gotten the attention of the King's court wizard, and possibly that of the king himself. Other nobles use his story as a warning to the people about standing up. They only know the half of it.

>noble
Aw, cool.

>in hiding
God damnit.

But then I kept reading, he sounds badass. How much hurt does he bring down on himself because of how he is?

A lot, actually. The kings wizard is like, Lvl 18? Kay is Lvl 6. Those encounters have been frustrating, to say the least. And Kay wants to completely flip his nation over, too. Gonna be a bumpy road.

Good lord. Well good luck lol. Any stories in particular?
