Not sure but they can definitely deal with debris and other small impacts, witch is VERY important considering the stuff a lot of them are shown doing.

Deflecting debris and deflecting missiles are two very different things.

Yes but in the jump it seems to imply that they will do nothing to protect from physical things and the upgraded shields that can take at least one hit from a capital ship Turbo laser could definitely at least mitigate a hit from most small missiles.

Worst case could import it into FTL and put a layer of shields on there since they work against debris (asteroid belts and such). Still shit out of luck against missiles though unless they're of the zoltan variety.

Worm user:
For the Powered Armored System could I use the integrate items option with my GBE to give the armor palm mounted GBEs? Would integrating an item into the armor consume the item?

The shields will protect you against debris and space dust. However I double checked and found that standard deflector shields do not protect against physical projecticles.

They're designed to deflect blaster bolts and other forms of energy because those are the most commonly used weapons in the galaxy.

In the old KotOR games and the new Battlefront deflector shields do not protect against physical damage.
>starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Personal_energy_shield

says that most ships are equipped with both ray and particle shields, yet vessels like the Millennium Falcon and the Ebon Hawk are only listed as having ray shields.
>starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Millennium_Falcon/Legends
>starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ebon_Hawk

During the attack on the Death Star the Rebels are able to penetrate the "heavily shielded" station in their fighters and fire proton torpedoes at their target with no visible difficulty.
youtube.com/watch?v=41PMJoeIDos

The wikia page for deflector shields also say that starfighters are often only equipped with ray shields.
>starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Deflector_shield/Legends

Finally, the wiki page for missiles states that they're specifically designed to penetrate shields.

What are the best intangibility powers?
Other than being a ghost from Danny Phantom.

Got a jump for Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy here. Just about finished unless there's some errors that I missed

There's decent ones in SCP, Razzle Dazzle, X-Men Movies, and Marvel.

Well that was quick. I'll post a build some time today.

...

Not a pure intangibility power, but thread seemed alright with my idea of using Raildex Electrokinesis to manipulate the electrons in your body in order to phase through matter.

Better powers around that don't literally rely on the user not knowing how to physics right, but hey.

few grammar and spelling things. looking great, cant wait to jump it.

Star Wars and The Dark Knight, is it Christmas?

The Millennium Falcon, despite supposedly only having ray shields, not only survives being hit by bits of Alderaan - that, given the kinetic energies required to vaporise / mass-scatter a planet, should have had quite a punch - but doesn't even so much as spring a single leak.

And then it later on blunders into an asteroid field without being instantly smeared by the first collision. Or the second. Or the third.

Also, wiki or not, I find it hard to believe that Solo - a smuggler with a tendency for getting into (and out of) scrapes - would have failed to equip his ship with shielding that could stop at least one missile!

>Finally, the wiki page for missiles states that they're specifically designed to penetrate shields.
>>starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Missile/Legend

This is based on the game Empire At War, which I'd consider secondary or even tertiary canon compared to the movies, shows and books. It also claims that the method involved is to make the missile "cylindrical". Well, guess that means they'd be fucked against Earth's air forces, no? The QA people really put a lot of thought into that one (not).

That said, sure, it makes sense that missiles would be designed to penetrate shields. Arms races are a thing. The wiki entry for missiles even says that there's a type of missile that's designed to overload the shield generators. But arms races go both ways, and if missiles were that effective every damn space battle in SW should have started with an opening salvo of missiles instead of blasters.

It's July. . . So yes, yes it is.

/jc/, what were the first times you thought something along the line of "damn it feels good to be a Jumper."?

I have, like, slightly less than half a dozen perks which make me the next best thing to Don Corleone except with a more stable powerbase, slightly less perks that let me convince folks by appealing to their worse nature and way, way too many charisma/manipulation perks. And prying into/influencing the hearts of men is one of the less complex things (it's just a matter of hormones, really) I can do with being evil incarnate, even if that aspect of me is partially crippled.

So on the first day I'm just going to politely ask all the crime to move out of Gotham and go to Detroit. Which will probably soon be renamed Bludhaven, if anyone even notices the difference.

And since this'll mean it's unlikely Ra's WON'T slate Gotham for fear gassing (fare thee well Detroit) he might well stick around as a recurring villain to duke it out with Batbale. Throughout all this I'm just going to pose as like, the League's sweeper or something to prevent Ra's from ever realising the full scope of my capabilities.

No Mr. al Ghul, I have no idea who tipped the police off to that terrorist clown or why said clown has significantly fewer henchmen than predicted. Now if you don't mind, I'll just get these leaves out of the dojo doorstep so the trainee ninjas don't sprain their ankle again.

Oh, and the novelisation reveals Ra's isn't a fan of nukes. Sadly, Bane is. I have compromise: I'm going to anonymously tip Bane off to a cache of my Kaiju Shifter technology integrated into a space-warping mask, now with 100% more human form..

Thus, Detroit's ultimate danger will come in the form of a single League of Shadows member who happens to be larger than most skyscrapers.

But to give everyone involved a fair shot at proving who has the better system of law, I'm also going to donate a Blade ship/Macross fighter technology to the US government-with the caveat that it's fingerprint-locked for one specific CIA agent to pilot.

Whether Batbale gets involved or not, the future of Detroit depends on whether or not Agent Bill Wilson can pull it off the big guy, so he'd die. And either way, it would be extremely painful

So, suicide counts as murder under the Ten Pledges, right?

I'm asking because the way my Jumper's turned out so far, she might actually try. "The only winning move is not to play," after all, being as she wasn't much good at games before landing there.

I was summoned by Panacea in Worm after she ran away with her sister.

There were multiple deals.
In exchange for me repairing her sister, she would go into house arrest in my Tower.
In exchange for keeping her under house arrest, returning her sister once repaired, and providing guarantees to the effect that Panacea would heal any capes or civilians I transport to her, the PRT would consider her house arrest time served against a standard prison sentence.
I don't know what's happened once I left, whether the courts considered 9 years of house arrest on EMT duty to be enough punishment or whether they threw her in the Birdcage anyway. I guess I'll find out once I finish my chain.

Yep.

Though people can't force you into games, and not all games are staked on life or death.

You're a true hero, ASA.

Yeah, but she doesn't know that.

She should. It's kind of basic knowledge in that realm. Any native background would know that already, and a Drop In has Tet explain the rules to them.

Killing Palpatine but not stopping the war was not the wisest move I could have made back in Clone Wars. Because events cascading while I was gone has caused a galactic stalemate between the Republic and the Trade Federation, with many worlds being forced to pick sides. The war itself has gone cold, with only occasional skirmishes whenever overeager soldiers cross paths. Anakin is using the Trade Federation to back a new order of Grey Jedi, who directly oppose both the few remaining Sith and the old Jedi Order. Obi-Wan is not at all approving of his former Padawan and is training Luke to stop his father, Commander Skywalker. Both sides race to build larger and larger weapons of planetary destruction, including both sides working on a Death Star like device in secret.

And I'm training Leia to bring peace to the conflict and end this whole mess I've made. There are spies about, and the only smuggler I trust is Han Solo, with Chewbacca as a double agent for the Jedi that I feed false information to. Still, he can get us to Tatooine, where I can hopefully talk Luke and Obiwan into helping. Wish me luck, guys.

Then she's kind of an idiot. Because Pledge Three is that the players have to agree on the wager, so no one can force her into betting her life. And Pledge Five is that the challenged party gets to establish the rules, so anyone who did try to force a game on her can be responded to with "the rules of the game are that I win".

Can order create evil? Can chaos create justice?

Yes. YHVH and various Robin Hood Archetypes, for example.

When I got to live my childhood dream of going to Hogwarts. When I gained the ability to fly like Superman. First time I sat in my space ship.

Short answer, yes
Long answer........yes

>Can order create evil?
Good and evil requires an orderly system of values to exist in the first place. Otherwise it's just the amoral state of nature. Evil, like good, can only exist thanks to order.

>Can chaos create justice?
Similarly, chaos can only exist in oppostion to order. And justice is the result of a dialectical conflict between the two. Justice can't exist through pure order because no order is perfect, and by clinging to its imperfection it becomes injustice itself; and while chaos can throw down the injust order, it needs a new order to create justice.

I have no less than three mansions, and I carry at least two villages with me throughout my jumps, not to mention a small spacefaring society consisting of two ships that can safely land as artificial islands. So, you know, I don't think I'll ever feel homesick, because my idea of home has really changed. I get to have my cake and eat it too.

Anyway, the more pressing issue is keeping this Batman alive in spite of his being clearly out of his league. Oh well, it's not like I don't have an abominable amount of buffing powers to rain down on him until all the cops are swayed by his charisma boosts and speeches of the glory of the United States Justice System. I basically spend all my time following this dweeb around while he 60s all over the place, beating up mobsters and using Bat Anti-Bomb Spray or whatever bullshit piece of equipment he has me or Luscious make for him.

And on the last day, I'm going to leave behind a Jumper Symbol, and if I come back it will have a beacon to get my attention no matter where in the omniverse I'm hanging out.

I don't know. There were lots of cakes in my life, but none of them were really something I'd say I loved. If I had to choose, I'd go with a good cheesecake, though. I think it's technically a pie, though? Cream cheese and a sweetbread crust of some sort.

That looks like cornbread with chocolate on it. . .

Naruto.

VEGETABLES DO NOT BELONG IN CAKE!!!!

It's a jutsu you probably will have to learn in jump. It's not a very common jutsu either (though the higher ranked leaf ninja like Itachi and Sarutobi seem to use it a lot).

I think it may actually be a Konoha-only jutsu. The only people we see using it are either Konoha ninja or former Konoha ninja. And Tobirama Senju claims to have invented it (though he says that about every cool jutsu). So it may be that the Forbidden Scroll might be the only place to learn it.

OF COURSE THEY DO, YOU JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW TO COOK!

It's a carrot cake. I've done those before, they look like that.
Unless you muricans have some other way for making them.

Not true, there was a random Iwa ninja in Kakashi Gaiden that used it and Deidara also used them as suicide bombers.

It may not be common but by the end of the chunin exams literally every ninja with screen time uses it. Sasuke uses it at least once, naruto abuses the fuck out of it, kakashi also uses it, Im sure I saw sakura use it once but she is generally the redundant ninja.

Deidara used clay clones. Itachi used them as bombs. Not sure about the Iwa one, but given you got one wrong, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some other kind of clone.

I'm pretty sure Deidara's are clay clones, not shadow clones. I don't know about the Iwa ninja you're talking about, though. Can you point me to the chapter so I can verify?

And all of those are Konoha ninja. It might not be a unique skill among them, probably something everyone gets taught once they reach a high enough rank, but it does seem to be a proprietary jutsu.

Sasuke never uses it in canon (Only in movies) before Boruto, way after the main series ends. Sakura never uses it. Kakashi is one of the strongest ninja in the series and a man renowned for knowing countless jutsu. It's Naruto's main thing and we see why he has it. None of the other genin use it and the only one that would have also used it during the end of the chunin exams would be the hokages. So...you got 2 right, but everything else wrong.

Huh, so there are two non konoha users. Funny that.

Okay, checking the wiki page, and the only two non-Konoha ninja to use it seem to be Iwa ninja. Which I guess makes sense, Iwa and Konoha are pretty hated enemies so the Iwa ninja would have fought Konoha ninja often enough to have reverse-engineered the technique from observation. It seems a lot more common with Konoha ninja, though I suppose that might be confirmation bias due to there being so many more named characters from Konoha. Still, Konoha is probably your best bet for learning it, if it's so much rarer outside that village.

An ostrich named Condor appears in the anime using the shadow clone technique, it was later discovered to just be other ostriches. How the ninjas didn't realize this is beyond me.

I think they were probably too busy being confused by the magic talking ostrich. He wasn't a summon, he had no excuse for his sapience and vocal chords. He just inexplicably possessed personhood. It was terrifying.

He was also fucking awesome with his taijutsu.

There was also a Kangaroo and It's Joey that were able to match Rock Lee in Taijutsu for quite a long time. They were fucking boxing for christ sake, which is actually considered a rare Taijutsu form

Plus, you can summon your Ark, as well, as long as there is a sufficient body of water nearby for it to stay and submerge within. All things within the Ark are effectively 'frozen' when not summoned, and while it can be destroyed, your Ark of choice will slowly rebuild itself(and it's contents) over a period of a week or so, allowing it to be summoned once more.

If it weren't for that jump, I might have been a hero. But being forced to consume dozens of innocent people just to survive kinda fucks you up.

Prototype isn't a good jump for a very young Jumper...

...

C'mon gents, we're all shitposters here.

Oh yeah, forgot to answer this one.

Truth be told, I never have. When I started out being a Jumper wasn't something I patted myself on the back for. That's kinda like congratulating yourself for breathing, isn't it? It wasn't even something I thought about very much; it was something I LIVED. There was always something to keep my occupied long enough to stop smug superiority from kicking in.

Heck, after I got my first god complex I didn't so much think "damn, it feels good to be a Jumper" so much as I thought "RIGHT, TIME TO FIX EVERYONE'S EVERYTHING" because to me it was always the opportunity that was everything, not the status.

Hell, I even went through a brief phase around jump #60something when I started to HATE my nature as a Jumper. I was made in the image of what I feared and hated: An otherworldly shapeshifting glitch in the world with the potential and incentives for endless growth and chaos. And yet, every time I acquired a new altform I was faced with the crushing realisation that I was, and always would be, an aberration. A catalyst. A Jumper.

Things are different now I've become what I was always meant to be, for better or worse. Even back then, after about 10 jumps or so I calmed the fuck down when I reflected on the ways my outside context nature also came in handy for achieving my goals.

The point is-either way, I've more or less thought of being a Jumper the way I presume most redheads think feel about having freckles

You tell me, since that was the theme of my chain.
Until I went Doll in Nechronica and upgraded myself with enough magitech to avoid having to eat, breath, sleep or any of that. You can always have a redemption arc, it´s a great thing to have after you apocalypse Worm by making Contessa a magical girl .
Everyone is a shitposter. Always. Some more than others, though.

Did Dungeon Builder user finish his jump yet?
