How would one counter a sentient with a rocket launcher flanking behind a leman russ

Air strike.

With no air, Just tanks.

Heavy Stubber at the top i guess?

Its just a sentient person or a Sentinel?

>How would one counter a sentient
you mean sapient?

Oh wait, you ARE the Russ?
Rotate turret, pivot on spot and/or just use sponsons, pintle mounted Heavy Stubber, or pop the top and use small arms.

It's a scout sentinel.

Do Orks count as sapient? They fail the mirror test.

Heavy Stubber and heavy cursing

Presumably they fire while its not your turn, right?

Apply more cursing and even harsher words then

Have another Leman Russ in their way.

Take 40 conscripts, make conga line around your table edge. I shit you not, this stuff won people nationals.

Behold, the God Emperor Approved™ anti-flanking technique.
You shall, first of all, see if your mighty Leman Russ can aim fast enough to shoot it with the main cannon, unless there are more important targets.
If your crew cannot aim with the cannon, the blessed sponson mounted weaponry will be your salvation, for even the Heavy Bolter will surely be enough to destroy the enemy, and both Plasma and Las will effortlessly lay waste to it.
If even the Sponsons can't aim at the target, then, use the Pintle-mounted weapon, recite the Litany of Precise Aiming, and open fire while chanting the Litany of Curses.
May this always help you in the field of battle.

A second Leman Russ flanking the sentient.

Another leman russ.
Tanks get lonely! Always use then with friends!

Combined arms tactics; Tanks should never operate without support from infantry and preferably also artillery and aircraft.

The same way you counter the flanking of virtually any tank in history:

covering fire from the other russ.

Infantry escort. Do you even combined arms?

Why is OP having trouble dealing with a single scout sentinel?

I don't know, I think everyone posting so far hasn't actually read the rules.

If you're a single tank, it's easy as shit actually. Single tanks without support play a scout role, and you don't stay anywhere long enough to get flanked. Full speed all day. In, out, hit 'em as you fly past and home before dinner.

>taking sentinels

why
I haven't played since 5th. Did something change?
