Deadlands is going to be cool as shit.

Storytime?

Pretty sure you got that backwards.

Man, Phil Taylor was such a badass.
RIP

Most underated drummer of a generation despite making popular some of the most used techniques.

I don't see a huge difference from the middle and the right, here, except one was shiny

I made a Duelist, it was a fairly regular set up honestly.

Thing was, our base of operations was located in a sort of Venetian-analogue port city. Everyone else seemed to just sort of think it simply convenient to keep the story contained in one place, good for some fluff and the such, but I saw opportunity. I got in with some of the money lenders, low level stuff at first. I invested in property and businesses. Eventually I got a seat on the Merchants Guild, and between adventures I would make little power plays. Sometimes I even took advantage of situations during games to further my reach. It got to the point where I was practically employing the rest of the group, paying for all of their equipment, whatever they needed. Thankfully the DM loved it all intrigue and backstabbing.

It ended with a somewhat violent altercation after a cabal of of Merchant Guild members tried to have me indited on false charge. I showed up to the trial, but non of the five members who had put a case against me did. The group made it very clear to the council that we had no interest in ruling, but that it was 'unhealthy' to try and curtail us. Live and let live.

I had a fleet of merchant vessels by the end of it, the group set up a free company, we had to defend the city during a war, shit was great.

Jhin strikes me as that bossy kinda creepy sociopathic/autistic boyfriend who really only cares how you appear as a couple when he does the "Smile, everyone's watching."

He's the best gay villain.

>magical girl game
>"user, your character will be tragic and suffer constantly so the other two players can be wacky lesbians in peace. That's cool, right?"

...

I've always felt so bad for Yamcha.

Just imagine being the weakest dude around, you can't even use the excuse that the others are bigger. Even the kids, little dolls and midgets could wreck your shit, and the fat useless dude at least did something with his sword. Then the guy who killed you also steals your woman.

If the DM doesn't understand what you played, you have failed.

If your character stays in a dynamic state after creation without changing to suit the narrative's progress, you have failed.

I want to know how the last panel applies to your character.

Your response was the only right one.

Made a Kyton with Warblade levels which had "business trips" in the Material Plane. Of course that would mean buying in the rich market of the souls, but the guy couldn't get enough and now handles mines where he makes his Lemures work, sends Imps in most countries to check their economy, and generally passes more time trying to make more money than trying to stab things. He's very good at stabbing things, although.

Heh, speaking of Motörhead, there's a Mecha Versus Kaiju game I play where my character is basically Lemmy and he pilots what is basically a mech version of Snaggletooth.

It's not even worth posting the pics for this thread. It's unashamed, obvious, and mutually understood.

You meant static condition?

Post pictures.

Yeah, I'm an idiot.

See, I always thought It wouldn't be so bad. Like, He's better than 99.9% of all other beings, just Goku and gang were so god damned powerful. Even during overworld he was strong, right? It's been awhile since I've seen it, so my memory is spotty.

Did you crash the game with no survivors?

...

Ars Magica

Was playing Simon fun?

Or was it a case of gm/other players ignoring or treating your character like a schlub?

Storytime motherfucker.

Well, when you accumulate enough Twilight Scars you fit in with the world even less than the usual Gifted.

That and that using Creo/Rego Ignem to freeze anything that displeased me.

Yeah it was fun.

Noice.

Funny you mention it, but the last session ended in with deaths of both BBEG and the whole party. So, there really were no survivors.

In retrospect, I kind of asked for this by making an Infernal.

Can I get some context? I'm quite interested

It never fails.

It was, as is probably obvious, our group's first Exalted game session, and the Storyteller was adopting a fairly laissez-faire to character creation and growth. The crux of this was that any type of Exalted was theoretically playable with some flavour and temperament justification as to why they're all working in the same group.

As per usual, I wanted to play healer and support because I like that role. Sadly, in-combat healing is very limited in Exalted in any practical capacity. Eventually, however, I found a charm in the Infernal book, Wholeness Rightly Assumed. It's a charm powered by She Who Lives In Her Name (for the uninitiated, basically a Chaos God of symmetry and patterns) that acts as a full heal by causing the body of the target to flush out impurities and achieve its healthy, stable form. So I decided to make an Infernal in a group with two Solars, a Lunar and an Alchemical.

When browsing artefacts for background points, I found the Green Iron Heart, a fancy Infernal machine that replaces your heart and makes you slightly less compassionate at the cost of significantly improved combat statistics. I found this alongside a system of prosthetic limbs and organs in another splatbook. After being given the go-ahead to obtain a sort of powerful set of artefacts so I would be able to fight extras (I would never outdamage the Solars anyway and my group is used to me role-playing and supporting over combat) I spent a bunch of background points turning my Infernal into effectively a hellforged robot, with only the torso, lower arms and head remaining, enough to appear human in a long robe.

(1/2)

Then came the hard part, working out exactly why the Infernal was helping them. I decided (among a background I'm not going to make you sit through) to effectively make her an idealistic, dorky country girl from an isolated village noted for her medical skills. Her exaltation, which for Infernals comes after great failure, came after she fell in love with a very important politician patient which caused her to mess up an operation, accidentally kill him, and send several major cities into political turmoil. Her mission in Creation was, at first, to spread the word of the Ebon Dragon in the guise of the fetisch soul Tzmeya while acting as a temple cleric, which she believed to be completely benevolent in nature. So we have Cuddle Hellbot Infernal with the personality of Dory who is working with the group partially for story reasons and partially because the counter-productive Ebon Dragon himself is ordering her to.

And it worked for three or four sessions. We had some awesome game. I got to ad-lib some exorcism sections, generally play an adorable character and help people. She joined up as a healer in the army of our resident Solar military leader, and she made friends in-and-out of character. She was a joy to play as.

Then the Storyteller had an NPC recognise her razor claws as of Infernal origin and expose her to the group as hellspawn. It became the in-character response from the leader of the army to imprison her for a time, which she accepted because she (and I) genuinely thought she would be released after some questions.

Some of my group then confessed that she was probably a little hard to continue playing, seeing as hellspawn are what we are fighting and the group had little reason to trust her. So I had to make a Solar instead.

She's still there. I'm still a little bit resentful of it, honestly.

tl;dr became an Infernal for the health plan, got sent to jail forever

...

It's a long one, spans over three different campaigns, and happened almost 2 years ago. I'll post it in 3 hours, if the thread ain't dead

>I made a badass hot babe
>DM just saw a sultry hot babe
>MFW I couldn't help but play like Machiavelli

yea okay buddy

So you nuked the shit out of all of your enemies?

So what about the carebear?

Spells are nice but it's wits and cunning that keep a girl alive.
Licinia Tanic, a novice conjurer wizard who's gotten in completely over her head and might end up executed by Mad Queen Not!Danaerys next session.

i forgot to mention that im a guy, so the last image probably makes even less sense.

Danger 5 season 2?

isnt that kung fury?

ha

please keep this going and write more

thats pretty much it, aside from the fact that my dragonborn discovered the deed to this mansion and kept it for herself and all her actions against the monsters were now 'get the fuck out of my house'

oh and the fact that i later deemed that my dragonborn was trans, solely because of the fact that i drew her without titties, because i didn't know that dragonborn had titties.
thats entirely irrelevant, though.

>there are still people who have not watched kung fury when it is literally free on youtube by the creators
It's not even that good, especially after the time travel segment, but at least watch the thing so you're not shocked and amazed by it like every college freshman I've ever met.

It's pretty good for what it is. It's a Kickstarter project that actually gave its backers a completed product

>its gross porno shit but idgaf
what

this is true, it's not Scam Citizen.
Didn't we also get Heavy Gear Blitz out of kickstarter as well, regardless of how dead the game is?

i have no idea what i meant when i typed that im sorry

You made a lady knight, they expected a medic, but you played an overblown egotistical 'artist'?

>made a rapier wielding battle cleric
>expected a healer
>got the greatest of all time

So she's a cleric of herself, then?

What an awful fate

I thought Beyonce was the greatest of all time

I'm sorry Veeky Forums I havent played any particularly interesting characters in a while, except for maybe that Brujah that was a cross between Evil Knievel and Dante from devil may cry.

Have this super old character instead

No, she made the greatest music video of all time.

So the take away is don't play Deathwatch.

It would help if he didn't routinely choose the lifestyle that he has no more business being in and pursued other ways of life.

You know what I'm just gonna post a slightly better version of that image while im at it

...

Fuck. Brevity is the soul of wit.

Not always. Sometimes, overbearing and chaotic is more to-the-point than something simple.

Brozouf, bro

We all learned together how much damage an Investigator can do.

Could you post the first two pictures in that? Those would be STUPIDLY useful to me, and it would be great if I could have them at full size. Also, man that looks like a fun time.

Character was fun to play.

Cleric in DarkHeresy. Removed from the game for being heretic majoris and escaping before trial. Currently retired, waiting to be relevant potentially later on.

Mind dropping the top two images on the "made" section?

What i made: big daddy/little sister summoner eidlon combo, what DM saw: cosmic being of unending power because can cast any form of magic, what i played after severe castration of base spells and abilities: sickly wheelchair bound child magic detector who's eidolon was repeatedly disintegrated by mage 10 levels above me on another continent whom was used by as excuse to say "look how OP magic in rpg games is, thats why i nerfed you!!"

...

...

Order of the Flame Cavalier in Paladin. At level 5 I could do a ridiculous amount of damage per turn but for some reason half the hits that land on me are crits and I've been almost killed in nearly every combat. Plus I keep rolling ones.

...

Always sad I didn't get to play more of this guy.

Also for the zap part, my cavalier is a pompous douche and a womanizer.
