Well working on grabbing some artwork/dossiars of the units. Organizing what I got now

Probably a Dactyl or two and some remotes. You can mostly just get whatever you like though. You've got a good base for your force already.

Aleph Support Pack: Worth it for SP?

If there's a vanilla player you can give Sophie to, sure. Netrods are still really good and Yudbots are nice if you don't link your Dactyls. I wouldn't make it your highest priority, though.

Would give me remotes. No other Aleph players locally, so no go on Sophie. eBay exists, though.

Is there a planet/place where two armies live on? Like a planet that is inhabited by PanO and Yu Jing?

We have, to date, a Nomads, a PanO, a Haqqislam, and my Aleph.

I recommend any of these: Pheonix, Nesaie/Thrasymedes (to get Thorakitai team going), the NCOs (Drakios/Scylla), Acmon+Dactyls. The Rebots and/or Probots are also useful

If you want to play low model count, Hector is a great addition. I often run him in a Dactyl link.

Well...Netrods are pretty important and theyre ava2 in SP. Yudbots can be useful too.

Svalarheima and Paridoso both are owned by PanO and Yu Jing

-Svalarheima will have a panO viking army while I think Yu Jings White Banner army is based from there

Well they do not have armies yet. But they will eventually have sectoriols. Paridaso is also owned by the Combined Army fluff wise.

Oh important to note, Sol, aka Earth is owned by basically all the human factions except Nomads. So you can have them duke it out on earth fluff wise easily enough.

Do any of the factions have diplomatic communication with the Combined Army?

Alright so I got the hq ones and some of the LQ ones done and orginized. I also have some artwork of the factions. Only ones I did not have were the CA, since no real interest in them and been doing this for a few hours now scouring google and other links.

The Combined army is here to conquer everyone, so not really. They are sort of the big bad of the setting, even if the other factions do not want to set aside their goals to fight them completely.

Have Phoenix. Should I worry about getting more basic troop going, or is now the time to acquire more heroics? I'm okay with more heroics. Eventually I want to run big A himself. Just curious.

2/3s of Svalarheima is owned by PanO. The other third is YJ.

PanO holds a good part of Earth and Paradiso. However, every faction has settlements on Paradio as well. PanO and YJ (iirc) has colonies on Dawn (ariadna's planet).

There's also mention of Human Edge which is another shared system.

Well, you already have thorakitai from the starter and myrmidons from the box/starter. Besides a character to open up Thorakitai fireteams and Dactyls for extra Eng/Doc support (maybe even Acmon if you want to field a fireteam), the rest is just a matter of whatever the hell you want to run. Eventually, you'll gradually end up getting them all like I did.

Humans Edge is owned by corporations basically, and merc factions. At least this is what is said in the RPG. Mars, the moon, Venus, and several moons around jupiter and saturn are also colonized in the Sol System, some are independent of the major powers but some also owe allegience to the major powers.

Interesting! The only thing I knew about Human Edge was a brief mention if naval warfare between PanO and YJ during the Neocolonial Wars

I never got why that was a PanO picture when it would work so much better for Aridania.

Ariadna doesn't even control the whole of their planet, and even has trouble even keeping hold of what they do have from the natives.

Guys, I'm worried.

Seeing as how Yu-Jing has Nepal in it's control, does that mean they'd have access to Ghurkhas?

I think that if they do show up it would be in the white banner army. Which aside from potientially the hac tao and shoalin monks, those are really the only units we know will be in it.

Hell Yu Jing also has mongolia, so they have basically the white scars from 40k

I've ordered Red Veil to compliment my Haqq force but I find it a huge waste to not get started with Yu Ying aswell. So I ordered the Invincible with the HMG and what I'm aiming for is an invincible army composition but I have no idea what else to get to compliment the new starter and the HMG Imvincible. Any tips?

What are your guys wish lists for your factions?

For me it is probably the PanO Svalarheima techno vikings. I really want to see a skirmisher wieling battle axes in the PanO army list.

Might play vanilla but I'm already into PanO and Haqq vanilla so I want a narrower unit selection and access to link teams. Currently aiming for Rama Task Force but we will see.

REMs seem like a good idea in general. YY have good looking remotes to boot. Overall I'm not interested in any of the old sculpts which narrows down my choices somewhat except for REMs.

Funnily enough, the Celestial guard in the RPG have power armor, even though they are a light infantry in the war game.

A lot of IA stuff isn't sculpted yet (no Zuyong box, no Shang Ji at all) so you may have to wait for some purchases. Yan Huo are out though, and they're pretty badass. Hac Tao may or may not end up in IA, but even if they don't you can just proxy one as a Daofei. More Tiggers is always an option as well.

I like Tigers. Coming from the Akals of Pano they are superior in every way.
Yan Huo seem cool but currently I'll hold off on them. The Guijia is cool as hell but I wonder how cost effective it is...

One of the posts on the forum kind of showed where each unit ends up on the army list. Look at the Emblems. Hac Tao have a white banner on the bottem so will end up in the white banner army.

The IA stuff will most likely be the units with the yellow star at the bottom of their unit emblem. You can look through all of them in the army maker and get theories.

There were Svalarheima yeti hunters mentioned in the fluff, I wonder what kind of unit that would be. But I don't really know what to expect from either Svalareima or Varuna.

Tunguska on the other hand seems to have a lot of clandestine untis. Might be fun to use an all sneaky special forces sectoral.

Yup, it's your standard MULTI HMG+HFT battle TAG. The Guijia isn't that great. It has a place in the army since the only other MULTI HMG in the YJ is 4-2, but it's mostly just adequate. One of the less interesting options despite its badass model.

The Hac Tao is definitely going to end up in White Banner, but either it or the Daofei is also likely to appear in IA (probably at AVA1) so that the sectorial has a sneaky option.

But smoke is just so low-tech and barbaric. It's completely unworthy of being used by a glorious hyperpower like PanO. PanO forces will only settle for the best, like the more advanced and therefore obviously superior eclipse grenades.

Their smoke grenades actually are not smoke, but tiny nano bots that drift around blocking the view of the opposing side

I do kind of want to see the ISA get a paramedic/doctor choice that is not Aleph. Maybe like a master torturer unit or something.

Viral weapons honestly wouldn't suit the fluff that much. Viral ammo kills people, and dead guys tend to be hard to interrogate. You'd want stun, adhesive and possibly E/M to recover your targets alive and intact. It's also pretty expensive for a unit that doesn't have any decent weapons.

Also I think hedgehog weapon might be defunct now, since it wasn't in HSN3 and the only unit that used to have it got electric pulse instead.

I think dropping a lot of these options would be one of the better options. the HMG and sniper rifle should be dropped, the ISA has options for the HMG and a sniper platform as well.

Yeah, trimming the fat seems like a good idea, they're a bit too similar to Zhanying. Maybe another skill to make them better as solo operatives could work. Mechanized/airborne deployment, maybe?

Drop Forward Observer as well, ISA already has 4 options for forward observers. I would also probably drop the grenade launcher since others can pick it up.

Original idea guy here, I was trying to go for a Dactyl style unit rather than a combat beast. Deeply unpleasant weapons but not really an active turn threat (hence the name Vulture), just something to deter people from picking on the specialist.

Also I think Contenders are cool as hell.

I do think a stun/EM LGL is a good choice, it fits thematically - a HI trooper locked in place as the questions begin.

Visually I imagined the unit to look like some mix of the Kanren and old Celestial Guard.

Makes sense. Pistols tend not to deter anyone, even if they're viral pistols. Anyone with a half-decent weapon can outrange and murder them.

Stuff that disables but doesn't kill like stun grenades, E/Mitters, ADHLs and maybe madtraps could cement them in their support role. They're low burst and not great for attacking, but they're great defensively.

Just trying out some ideas. A doc that can defend itself and provide backline defence or supporting fire if need be seems pretty neat. Not as killy or tough as a Hospitaller or Healer, but still capable.

PanO players just have to accept that their role is not using tricks like smoke + MSV combo or Camo spam, it's supposed to stop everyone else from doing it.

Doctor as standard would and is nice, wont lie. The profile as presented now is pretty nice. A solid look for a doctor.

This does not also take away the use of Sophie because she can repair the remotes that ISA can bring since they lack a TAG.

Now if only CB would use something like this now that I see it. Be nice to have in an offical game

PanO has a ton of options already to do stuff. Every faction is going to have area's they lack in, PanO is not one for smoke.

I'm expecting more camouflage and very heavy weaponry from Svalarheima. It was a rather overt warzone after all.

Camo is White Banner's specialty. PanO Svalarheima seems to be largely based around overwhelming firepower and brute force from what we've seen so far.
