The Official MTG Snowstorm/Lore Thread

Welcome to the MTG flake/lore thread!

Previously: Some cancer, some stories. Probably some other things.

Previous thread: Writefagging last time:
Preview for Sir Joseph: Serena and Revas user wrote a 15 page document: REMINDER:

If you want ANYTHING to go in the repo, just summon me. Otherwise I will only put writefagging and sheets in the repo.

Also, I added the blank template to the ALL FLAKESHEETS folder. And the old snowsheets are under "Snowstorm sheets" > "1- ALL FLAKE SHEETS."

To summon me simply say
>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
Unless that's too gay.

REPO UPDATED

Make sure your shit is there

Your flake planeswalks into the 40k 'verse, what happens?

This is still getting missed. Should I just make it a .pdf for easy uploading?

>Implying that The Emperor doesn't wake up when he finds out that beings from another dimension are fucking up his Imperium and kick your flakes ass

>Implying Gaia isn't the Emperor

>Implying that The Emperor and Chaos Gods don't team up to kick your walker's ass

>implying the emperor has the ability to wake up
your god-king is dead. You are abandoned by your gods and the people of your great empire struggle among themselves rather than present a unified front. It is inevitable that the greatness of Chaos will soon conquer all.

I don't know how I kept missing it. It's there now.

>implying she's not Slaanesh

At least it's there now. Thanks.

>Karn, did you hear what happened? Some fuckers appeared with god like powers
>Oh Hell no, get me Tzeentch
>Hello?
>Tzeentch, it's Nurgle. Did you hear abo-
>Of course I heard about them. Slaneesh and I are on our way to Terra to get that faggot up then we're going to kick their asses all the way back to wherever they came from.

Thanks for mentioning me! I finished the prologue (which is short), and I'm a good way into chapter one, plus I'm doing some artwork. Here is the prologue, in its entirety this time! In case I never uploaded the character information sheets I had made, I'll be uploading those next.

Tonight, even if just once, I want to get to say
>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
(I don't think that it's too gay, and I'm a genuine homosexual.)

Also, here is Sir Joseph's character reference sheet, which I followed an old template for but I don't think I had ever uploaded.

>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
(It's like a spell or a mantra or something if you say it rapidly, post by post.)

And here is Mephiri's character reference sheet.

>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.

>(It's like a spell or a mantra or something if you say it rapidly, post by post.)
How could I ignore such blind faith? Your wish is granted.

Thank-you, friendly Gaia!

>Your wish is granted.
Malik, I think our friend has escaped! Please, ready your bottle, quickly now, lad. That's a good Sahir.

>Malik
Who?

I was being cute and referencing the writing I had just posted a couple of minutes ago. My story is set on Rabiah the Infinite, and I couldn't help but make a Djinn joke in-character referencing the Sahir (Djinn-capturing sorcerer) of the main group, a young man named Malik. Lame, I know.

So is this too clique-y to get in on now?

Nah, dog. Make your flake and hop in. Ain't nobody gonna hate on you for showing up just because you aren't one of the first people here.

Nah, just make a flake and when you get the chance to slide in just do so.

I just came back from being gone for a month after having just made my sheet, and everyone is as welcoming now as they were then. It's a lot of fun with a bunch of cool dudes and dudettes.
Join usssssssssssssssss...

Was he the guy that turned the spider-fetish djinn into an asshole?

Eris immediately falls to Chaos and loves every second of it.

Makayel takes interest in the Cult Mechanicus, as they remind him of glorious Phyrexia.

Acervus feels the need to save the shit out of the Imperium, not truly understanding the levels of fucked everything is. Naturally, he fails, with tragic results.

Katin stalks EVERYTHING

>and when you get the chance to slide in just do so.
>slide in
...heh

No, that was Mephiri (my other 'Flake). Malik is a human supporting character in the story I'm writing.

>Mephiri made Vanya, Spidermom, and Owlmom.

Your wish... is... GRANTED!
How 'bout a little more baklavaaaaaaaaaaa? (Mephiri is nowhere near as nice as Robin Williams, may he rest in peace.)

To be honest, I'm at a loss for remembering anything but what I'm doing right now. Never have a stroke, folks - everyday life becomes a game of guess who. Fill in my memory gaps?

>Mephiri mutated spider mom
What a douche.

So what powers does the spark igniting grant planeswalkers now? We all know how old walkers were crazy busted and got nerfed down with the mending.

Like, let's take Chandra for example. Did becoming a planeswalker boost her pyromancy abilities or would she have always been that powerful given proper training? Or does the spark provide a boost.

It's the same for all the Gatewatch. Gideon had his lawmagic before, Jace was a telepath, etc.

Like if sitting here right now shitposting on Veeky Forums I had a spark ignite and ended up on Zendikar or some shit, would I have enhanced abilities of some kind.

You can walk between planes, and it installs a babble fish into your head and leads you read every language.

Everything else is all the planeswalker.

I vaguely remember joking about something similar a month ago before I went away from the internet for a month, but my memory is let's say compromised, so I assumed that was what he was talking about, but now I'm not so sure. I'm trying to figure out what this "spidermom" thing is, and what they're talking about, which I probably know but forgot.

Was not meant for Was meant for

My sympathies. I hope your memory comes back in time.

Vanya is a nice seamstress who got mutated into a drider by a djinn. drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwl7IuoVRkFxVGNhdkx1MU5Pc1k

Spidermom (real name Mira) is a nice peasant lady that got mutated into a drider by a djinn. drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwl7IuoVRkFxcFpieDZjT29BWUU

And Owlmom is timeshifted Mira, who got mutated into a gryphtaur instead of a drider. (pic related)

Forgot pic

What
said, but you also gain access to all of the mana bonds from those other planes as long as you have your spark so you can get stronger than normal mages

Okay, I read back a little bit, which I keep having to do more of, and I made a joke about that once, but I would have to read the story to know if that's what the writer implied. It does sound like his M.O., but I don't know if someone decided that it was "canon."

I'm sorry for the confusion; I did not mean to imply I had written or stated something serious involving someone else's 'Flake without their consent. Like I said, my brain is Swiss cheese due to a stroke, so I kind of got confused for a moment.

Thanks for the well wishes, Gaia. Life can be rough, but I try to stay positive. I'm essentially blogging, I know, but at least it's bumping the thread.

CUTE!

Your shitposting abilities would become greatly enhanced and you'd probably end up either black/red, blue/black, blue/red or red/green depending on your reasons for shitposting.

Not sure how that would help you on Zendikar, though. You'd probably do better on Ravnica or Tarkir. I'm pretty sure the Kolaghan and the Silumgar communicate almost exclusively in shitposting.

HOOT LIVES

REPOSTING ALPHA ELF

I love their stories! Neither of those could possibly have been Mephiri as he would never put himself inside of a prison again, even as a ruse, although he would definitely tease them about it by lying if given the opportunity.

As a terrible arachnophobe, the idea that a spider lady is stealing orphans is pretty freaking terrifying to me. Vanya sounds sweet, though, and has that cuteness appeal only certain monstergirls and monsterboys have. I'd probably puke the first time I saw her though, which would be terribly rude of me, and embarrass us both. Just like one of my Japanese animes!

post more porn.

Working on it. I bet I'll have something for y'all by tomorrow afternoon.

>the muli-verse

You done goofed.

In and of itself, the spark only grants the ability to planeswalk. The ability to understand languages is theorized as being part of the packages, or could just be writer's convenience.
Beyond that, it gives nothing in and of itself - but the ability to walk between planes is a great boon in and of itself, and it would seem that the people who DO have a spark have a tendency to be extraordinary individuals to begin with. But not always - sometimes there's literally nothing special about them prior to their spark igniting (for example, Domri).
It's probably another of those things best chalked up to Magic being a game where you beat the crap out of another player - yes, there are planeswalkers out there that don't have extraordinary abilities beyond being a planeswalker, but the sets don't focus on those walkers because they don't make for good planeswalker cards, much like how red ends up getting ANGER and MORE ANGER as the entirety of the representation of it being the color of emotion

>ANGER and MORE ANGER as the entirety of the representation of it being the color of emotion
Don't forget overwhelming traitorous lust.

>A red planeswalker whose powers revolve entirely around being very, very attractive and making people with useful powers do all the work for them

Serena is briefly hailed as a living saint before she asks who the Emperor is and is promptly murdered.

Speaking of murdered.

Actually, Domri proved that despite being just some punk kid, he had really high animal affinity. Which is what got the Gruul to accept him in to begin with.

This is done with emotional swings, which is why
this is only half-assed, and no Red planeswalker just has people fawning over them at all times. It just doesn't last.

>As a terrible arachnophobe
Then you probably don't want to hear about how her transformation sequence went. Djinn curses are nasty.

To the contrary, I love to be frightened by stories. Please, do tell. Also, Djinn and Efreeti are my favorite mythical beings, so I gobble up any story involving them.

>Speaking of murdered.
Literally Hitler

I'm very, very tired right now, but I'll do my best to give you a visual.

Basically, picture a deep, dark, dry room beneath the desert dunes (Like some shit from the Mummy). The djinn casts the curse to infuse Mira with the essence of desert spiders. Imagine thousands of spiders, magically summoned from the sands, crawling out from between the stones, the cracks in the ceiling, the tiles beneath your feet, everywhere. They skitter up your your legs, under your clothes, to get at you. They look for any kind of opening in your body and start crawling in; down your throat, in your eyes, your ears, under your fingernails, in your cuts, everywhere. They fill up your lungs and begin devouring your organs. If you try to scream, it's just more spiders and blood while you convulse on the ground, covered in arachnids. They drink your blood and writhe underneath your skin, but you don't die. They even eat holes in your brain, but you still don't die. Instead, the spiders start to fuse together to make new organs, new bones, etc. Before long your face is just a loose skin mask, and you tear it off to reveal your new face.

From this point on, it's a pretty standard werewolf-esque slow and painful transformation sequence. But you're still covered with crawling critters.

Wow, that is pretty graphic. I love it, and I love how much it creeps me out. Thank-you for sharing that. Incidentally, my brothers once pranked me by pouring a five-gallon pickle bucket they had used to scoop up a thousands-strong daddy longlegs mating cluster all over me. I was never the same after that, but in hindsight, it was a pretty good gag.

Hot.

Aaaand now I'm going to have nightmares tonight. Fuck spiders.

>I'm summoning the spiders
>because I'm SPIDER-MOM

Look out here comes the Spider Mom!

Well, as I promised, I finally got something done. Another Ussa story, this one detailing the first part (of two) of her adventures in Innistrad. For a plane she hates, she sure is managing to enjoy herself there. This ended up being way longer than I thought it would, but I hope it's worth reading through. Oh, and this is super lewd, too.

docs.google.com/document/d/1JKvUqepe3BVpwioBJFxWPKse9AZ6P6CVf__tHU-ba3Y/edit?usp=sharing (LEWD)

I'd say something like, "Hopefully part two won't take as long," but that's tempting fate to a degree that even I won't allow. Not sure what to put for a picture here, so I'll just post the in-game equivalent of the elemental that's following her around at the beginning.

...

Chapter one of Dreams & Wishes is almost finished, and hoo boy is it a long one. I'll try to upload it as soon as it's finished. I'm not confident enough in my knowledge of other people's 'Flakes as of right now to write anybody's characters but my own for the time being, but I'm making so many non-Planeswalker characters to fill this story that I'll be busy for a while. I was productive and wrote 5,000 words so far just tonight, and I probably should have made time for some chores in there, but oh well.

That is some quality smut right there, I tell you what, and I don't even like women.

I'm not sure whether I want to write smutty stories or not. I'm pretty magical-realmy in private with my husband, but bringing it to the table tends to upset some people.

Ah, there it is. Chapter one is finished! Man, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I'm impressed with how quickly I wrote this.

>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.

So you aren't putting the AU into the repository?

Bumpity bumpbump

I've been having so much fun writing this. I've been using behindthename.com to generate names or define setting-appropriate ones I know that I like, and using the meanings of the names to help guide my keystrokes. The oasis city of Almaladh al"Amn, for example, is ust Arabic for "safe haven."

I mean, I could If you want. You want me to?

Whoo. Her sex drive is on some whole other level of terrifying. I could feel Merrec's fear boner.

That's not the best way of putting that.

>terrifying
>not being aroused at the thought of being forced to submit to a sexy satyr girl as she milks your cock for hours on end
come on man, get in the game.

Thane, you seem like the kind of faggot that would enjoy shitposting in the steamgroup. You should consider it.

I didn't say I would run from it, just that it’s as much terrifying as it is arousing, hence 'fear boner'

I might, I just have no idea how steam groups work.

"Fearection"

If you:
>Have a Flake
>Have Cockatrice (or are willing to go grab it)
>Like the sound of using your Flake as a custom card in online MTG matches
Then you might want to give Adversary a try. It's a custom format that essentially allows you to create your own custom Vanguard cards, build decks for them and pit them against the Adversaries of other players'.
Three Flake regulars have already made and played with their Flake-turned-Adversary.
If you have any interest, pop into this Discord server where you'll find all the information you need to play and all of the currently active players.
discord.gg/013gVNhXUxwOvYrw6

You just go on steam and search for MTG Flakes Waifus and Lore, join the chat as a guest and one of us will add you to the group.

Alternatively you can add me, just search for my favourite angel flight and you'll find me quickly.

I would like that.

Herons?

Ah, okay I'll go ahead and see if I can get myself added.

Of course not, her favorite flight has always been Nightmares

Aight. I'll do it tonight.

>Of course not, her favorite flight has always been Nightmares
Considering how many games Brisela has won me that might not be too incorrect. You basically win any time you cast her, no one plays removal higher than 3cmc really.

Bump for somebody other than Filth user needs to post some actual content.

Thank you! And keep up the good writing work! I didn't know you before, but I'm glad you came back.

I've been wanting to type up sone stuff for Eöl. Just some general stuff about the world, languages, and immortal races. Perhaps I'll do so tonight. Would that satisfy you some?

I'm not calling anybody lazy, I just don't want the thread to die because no one posts anything.

Unfortunately all of my ongoing projects involve other people so I'm having to juggle timezones and stuff.

No, Filth needs to post more. As much as his imaginative splendid mind can create.

The flavor text of this card makes me imagine some dumb hotty who says simple things that are unintentionally deep.

My apologies, I wasn't assume you were calling anyone lazy. Rather, I'm genuinely asking if you would like to read about Eöl.

No one does philosophy like Gaston!

No one does philosophy like DIOMEDES!

I posted a bit of writing earlier. I would love some feedback, if you want to read it. That sounds sarcastic, but I'm still sleepy. I just woke up from a nap.

Thank-you, I'm glad to be back! I really like your writing, your word choices and diction are spectacular. Is any of the other writing in the Repository yours? I want to read more of it.

Genuinely curious, are there any loxodon flakes? The absence of pachyderms in legendary creatures and planeswalkers is criminal.

Not that I'm aware of, no.

Make it, yo.

>Is any of the other writing in the Repository yours?

Yes! My flakes in the Repository are, in no particular order, Larothenes, Samnel, Laurela, Bavara, and Ussa. Oh and Perselus, too, but the Perselus writings aren't lewd. Look under those names in the writing folder and I'm almost certain you'll find everything I've written so far.

There's always...

Frankie Peanuts

See the old sheet.

Ok, here is a tiny something about Eöl and its first two races. Just a few paragraphs, mind you.
_______
Of the Immortal Age
________
In the beginning, there was only the Nether, the infinite realm of all basis. Eöffna, Father of Eöl, saw fit to make the world from this foundation, twisting together the primal forces and unleashing them within the Nether. Thus, was Eöl created. And thus, with time, were the two immortal races born: the Eölnu and the Eölnar.

The greatest of these races, the Eölnu, were Chaos given agency and form. It was their task to continually renew and restore Eöl, so that the fabric of reality would not succumb to stagnation and rot. In the common tongues, they are called the Lords of Song, for it was with their eldritch song and primordial poetry that they sang their ideas into being. Great changes came to Eöl, and the world was forever new, forever alive and beautiful.
But it was the task of the Eölnar, the wisest of the sister races and Order given agency and form, to balance and contain the great alterations the Eölnu brought forth. In a great unified chorus, for the Eölnar were many, their voices gave stability and form to the changes that the Eölnu wrought, allowing for said changes to continue, to be everlasting, yet without upsetting the delicate balance of the world. Their civilizations were great and spanned the breadth of Eöl, and to the common folk of modern times they are called elves, the People of the Wood.

And thus it was that these two races, brothers bound by the Soul, forever worked the fabric of Eöl, preserving the cycles of creation and life. And all the while tranquility reigned. The Immortal Age, the spring of the world, was a time of peace, lasting for a time longer than any mortal could account for. And the world was good.

I will give it all a read when I can! I've mostly been catching up on reading all of the threads that I missed while I was away, and trying really hard to remember what people have on their character sheets.

I'm loving what you've written about Eöl. These two races, can you describe them physically? I'd love to know what they look like.

Hey, I've got a new flake for y'all, and I anticipate having a quick story with her finished by tomorrow.
