Are foxgirls/foxboys the new ubiquitous cancer from weeaboo player? They've basically replaced catgirls/catboys.

You are a ubiquitous cancer for making this thread.

...

I've never seen either, and your thread is shit.

Yo guys chill the fuck out. Nobody forced you to post in this thread.

This user has it right.

If you don't like an obvious troll thread, just ignore it and make threads about topics that you enjoy.

Otherwise, you're just encouraging OP to continue shitposting by feeding him a delicious stream of replies.

and nobody forced you to suck so much cock yet here we are

They're definitely replacing catboys/catgirls. But both have been around for a very long time. BattleTech had catgirls (genecaste) a long time ago, though they're largely ignored these days except as an in-joke. GURPS has rules for both.

The main reason is that A) catgirls are getting a little cliche, maybe even mainstream, and B) with the rise of tail plugs as the up and coming sexy fetish, fox tails just look better and otherwise the costume looks more or less the same.

>ubiquitous
Played with over 35 individual players over the course of my lifetime both in real life and in online formats, and I've never seen even one player doing that or asking about doing it in an actual game.

A fairly silly Veeky Forums meme is not the same thing as real life play.

Fox-anything are a magnet for faggotry, furfaggotry in particular.

The only proper way to play foxpeople is as elves

>tfw played about 3 fox girls and 1 fox guy in different campaigns
I'm a moderate weeb, and most people in my regular group are moderate weebs too, but I just really love playing Kitsune overall. Especially when I get a power to mimic other people.

I just want to have fluffy tails, why you gotta hate

I think I've heard of one person ever playing a fox boy, other than i.

I fucking love the Magical Tail feat in Pathfinder for this reason. Get fluffy tails and some pretty nice spells.

I've yet to make a build that incorporates it well though. You have to spend 8 feats on it to get the full set, and there are just objectively better feats one can take.

Because your kind have been shedding all over the pathfinder threads.

That's why you take Wrecking Mysticism - you can swap your oracle mystery spells for fluffy tail.

Nice trips, dude, but you're probably a lot weebier than you proclaim.

I've got one of each - one dude plays a fox-boy/girl (randomly determines gender) in pretty much every game he can (though he's pretty adamant that he's not a full furfag), and one girl who plays catgirls fairly often and acts like a cat in and out of game, even going so far as to "speak cat" when people are trying to have a conversation with her.

Because kitsune are an actual established thing in Japanese folklore and thus fit if that's what you're going for.

I have only ever played with one person who did this. He played a kitsune samurai guy.

He was fine. He played his character well, held his weight in combat and was fun to play with. End of story.

>one girl who plays catgirls fairly often and acts like a cat in and out of game, even going so far as to "speak cat" when people are trying to have a conversation with her.
Alright, tell me more

I hang out with her fairly often, and sometimes she'll "mew" to get my attention, and when I ask what's up, she just keeps mewing and mrowing and whatever, and if I take that as an opportunity to mess with her somehow, she'll actually hiss at me.

We can *usually* hold normal conversations, though, she won't break out into random meowing fits in the middle of talking to her.

> but you're probably a lot weebier than you proclaim
Eh.
I don't know, maybe.

I don't really watch anime that much or read manga, but I browse pixiv for character art and porn, like a lot of Japanese video games, and really fucking love sushi.

I'd put myself about 6 or 7 on the hypothetical weeb scale.

On one hand, muh dick. On the other, she crazy

I think they're more common because they can be played straight to cover the fact that they're being played for magical realm purposes.

There's no reason to play a catgirl or boy other than magical realm reasons.

Romanian?

>they can be played straight

What if you want to play a homo fox?

>implying said threads are worth having

Veeky Forums is the table and Pathfinder is drink you placed on it without a coaster.

I dread the day when robots are played for that nefarious purpose.

They're less cancerous than dwarves, at any rate

So there are fucking furry feats in pathfinder now?

Glad I quit that shit in high school and started playing GURPS like a real man.

Every character has the capacity to be a well-done character that is roleplayed well, even if the initial concept had basis in something cliche, edgy, or magical realm.

The problem arises where characters end up being not characters, but caricatures of a small set of jokes, gags or features without any real depth to them. A catgirl played as anything deeper than "I'm a cat with tits lol :3" is generally a pretty good time, because they're another character in the party and another player in the game, they just happen to have cat ears and/or a tail.

Bad players will be bad players whether they're going for foxgirls/foxboys, catgirls, or want to be the bard that fucks everything.

It's a race exclusive feat, for Kitsunes only.

I don't follow

>The main reason is that A) catgirls are getting a little cliche, maybe even mainstream

Where are they in mainstream?

>I think they're more common because they can be played straight
Honestly, at this point the "straightest" way to play a kitsune is just going entirely anthropomorphic fox person. We already have lizard people, crow people, cat people, and hyena people in most settings that at least follow a trend of "monstrous humanoid", and a race of fox people that can occasionally impersonate another creature still fits in to an extent.

What seems to be the problem in cases like this thread is that the "weeb version" of kitsune (i.e. just sticking ears and a tail on a human) not only leads to more instances of magical realm than a straight furry character would, but also clashes with most settings. Which is understandable. It's like That Guy who shows up to a low-fantasy, Tolkien-esque game and wants his barbarian to literally be Cloud Strife. There's a time and a place for everything, and unfortunately people who gravitate toward kitsune tend to have a very specific image of them that often disrupts the tone of the game.

>the "weeb version" of kitsune (i.e. just sticking ears and a tail on a human) not only leads to more instances of magical realm than a straight furry character would
Shit, I've been doing "weeb" versions of Kitsune to specifically avoid my magical realm.
I could find the furriest character art I want, but it's significantly harder to find decent full-on furry art, and people are generally more comfortable with the "weeb" versions.

I'm not the highest on the weeb scale, but I've got some weeb in me. Usually I'll play kitsune-types without being overbearingly sexy.

I don't have the "minimaid is not for lewd" gif, but it's something like that.

Except the goal is comfy. Use kitsune as the platonic party pillow..

Have you ever played a foxboy?

Not yet.
If the other players are weeb enough, I'd consider it though. Wouldn't go that far down the rabbit hole alone, though.

not him but I'm curious as to your reasoning for this guess.

Call it a gut feeling

Kitsune are literal sluts in Japanese folklore though, so magical realm is an innate part of their character.

Kumiho are better anyway.

They're even bigger sluts

They are literally the same thing you autistic retard

>foxboy
>boy
Not for long you ain't

>Usually I'll play kitsune-types without being overbearingly sexy.
Yeah I'm the second guy you replied to, and I don't try to use overly sexy fap bait characters. The pictures I've been using are pretty much the characters I play. I try to keep things as tasteful as possible at the game table.

I mean don't get me wrong, sexy is nice, but there's a time and place for everything.

gurps biotech

>no tail

Terrible kitsune.
