What would happen to a person that doesn't have a moral compass in Silent Hill? Will it get trapped forever in it because it doesn't recognizes good and bad or it will pass unhindered because it doesn't believe in judgement, shame, justice ecc...

You probably wouldn't end up there in the first place.

No Moral Compass in what sense?

Like is he super autistic "unable to comprehend his actions" or something else?

Like morality is completely alien to it. It doesn't see things as "good or bad" but in another way.

All the monsters will attack by teleporting behind him.

See Silent Hill only works on people who know one way or another they're lying to themselves.

>pssh..nothing personnel, Murphy

OP, you appear to be posting on the wrong board. Allow me to direct you to the correct one:

I see, thanks.

...

You can have a campaign starring SH and maybe he wants to know if his murderhobos are going to be special there

>blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah, blah, dumb excuses
Why is it that whenever someone points out that off-topic content on Veeky Forums is, in fact, off-topic, some braindead git feels he has to rush in and defend it? Why do the retards on this board so desperately cling onto their delusions of "you don't even need other boards"?

because most of the best tg stuff tends to come from non tg sources. something like silent hill screams for horror campaign ideas.

>because most of the best tg stuff tends to come from non tg sources.
I've been here 6 years and you're full of shit.

i've been here over a decade, so you can fuck right off you elitist fuckhead.

I can put words in an image too. Neither of us is completely right of course, because it's not written on the rules page.
But your interpretation implies LITERALLY EVERYTHING is Veeky Forums related, therefore it's IMPOSSIBLE to be banned for posting off topic, which we know is not the case.
OP should have written "I want to start a tabletop RPG campaign based on Silent Hill" if he wanted this thread to be about a traditional game.

>lying on the internet so you can win a trivial argument

>implying in the first place.
Moron

>accusing your opponents of lying so you can win a trivial argument

Silent Hill doesn't give a shit about what you think you've done. You did a bad thing, and it's going to punish you for it, regardless of whether you personally believe you deserve it or not.

>opponent starts using a lower level of dialogue
>lower yourself to the same level as him
As if I didn't already have enough proof that all the "you don't need other boards" faggots are insufferable idiots.

Would you say Angela was bad? She was made to believe her abuse was honestly her fault by her mother.

well there's a simple answer, piss off to the other boards and bait them and let people enjoy themselves without your idiocy.

Angela's a weird case. Sure, she killed her whole family, but it can easily be seen as justified due to the abuse.

And it's entirely possible that the town is punishing her for believing she did something wrong and wanting to kill herself, when in reality she has nothing to be sorry for. Maybe. I dunno man, this shit's hard to figure out.

has it ever been revealed what silent hill actually is?

She seems to have swings where she goes from being meek and submissive and not realizing what's going on to being aggressive and fully aware of what's up.

Honestly after watching a bunch of analysis videos about Silent Hill I'm of the opinion that ultimately Silent Hill helped her by letting her die and "freed" her from the suffering she was enduring while possibily giving her a chance to to just accept what she had done and move on with her life.

It was supposed to be a form of purgatory at one point.

huh, that actually makes..a stupid amount of sense actually.

From what I've heard it's more obvious in the older games. I haven't played SH since the first movie so I've no idea what it's portrayed as now

Great Veeky Forums thread friend

so if that's true, then silent hill is essentially Lost done right. cool, i can use that idea.

If you guys had your way, all we'd be allowed to talk about is Chess, Checkers, and Backgammon. There's nothing "traditional" about table-top RPG's, or 40k, or MtG, or just about any other game we tend to rant about on this board.

Look, there's a lot of overlap here - and a whole lotta RPG's with settings and conundrums similar to Silent Hill, and a whole lotta other video games, anime, movies, and TV shows... Get over it.

You waste less time hiding it than you do bumping the thread to bitch about it.

it is actually. the thread has just given me a superb idea for a campaign.

1 is okay but has more occult themes than psychological horror. 2 is the masterpiece that I don't k ow if they even knew how deep their story really was when the wrote it full of deep character introspection and psychosexual themes. 3 is a combination of both with a lot of references to the previous two that doesn't really do either quite as well but still Make a for a really solid horror game.

If you're looking for something like this, try and find some Wraith pdfs. The games are essentially a harrowing in that game. I don't know whether you're planning a game with already dead characters, but the themes are similar enough that you'd probably get some nice ideas.

So Veeky Forums should be turned into /b/ v2 because you can turn everything into RPG. I can use blacked porn as a basis for my campaing, can /tv/ shitposters come here and shitpost about interacial porn? There's that gangbang RPG system after all.

well i'm toying with the idea that the pc's won't know they're dead. yes i know, plot twist. but it's going to start out as typical murder hoboing, but as the game progresses, each character will get involved in some severe psychological and horror trauma related to something when they were living.

stop trying to derail the thread with your self important idiocy. we're trying to discuss campaign ideas here. you know, traditional gaming that you're harping on about.

>implying they can even comprehend what they're saying

>Continues to keep the thread he doesn't like alive by posting instead of just ignoring it

tfw your own autism fights against you

>implying you can actually discuss lore in a place dominated by 12 year olds who can only jab hotkeys in MMO"RPGs"

Veeky Forums isn't even a decade old guys, come on guys.
