There are to many loyalist scum serving the False Emperor, time to create a group of traitor Space Marines to even the odds!

Roll 1d10 to determine our origin.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Renegades, once loyal to the Imperium we now serve Chaos.

Roll 1d100 to see why we fell.

Rolled 75 (1d100)

rollin'

One of our brothers found a mighty weapon, to bad it had a daemon inside it. God dammit Steve we warned you about that thing!

roll another 1d100 to see who our geneseed belongs to.

Rolled 70 (1d100)

Dark Angels. So much for most loyal.

1d10 to see how we see Chaos and it's Gods.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Neutral. We are willing to use Chaos as a tool but aren't bat shit fanatics.

1d12 to see which god/gods we are willing to work with

Rolled 7 (1d12)

Papa Nurlge is our patron.

1d100 to see what kind of weird beliefs we have.

Rolled 86 (1d100)

Well well we are equal opportunity employers. Theives, murderers, mutants, hell even former enemies and the like are welcome in our warband.

roll 1d10 to determine our Demeanor

Rolled 4 (1d10)

So we're mutant-loving nurglites who turned our backs on the Dark Angels because one of our Battle-Brothers found a Daemon-Weapon...
Any ideas stick out from that?

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Take the other one, I've been rolling everything so far. Let someone else have a go.

Well shit, turns out we view corruption as a great gift and something to strive for. Mutation and warp corruption are so highly prized mutants get a special place in our warband.

With these rolls idea could be battle brother found a sweet weapon that slowly mutated him, but chapter thought 'holy shit this guy is a demi-god' and started to listen to him and thus the daemon in his weapon slowly corrupted the chapter.

Now we get to the deficiencies/mutations, roll a 1d10

Okay, I actually really like that idea... but still, I'm gonna let someone else roll for a bit.

Maybe a chapter from a feral world that for some reason kept a lot of traditional tribal beliefs. Which was subverted by a mutation from some tribal legend appearing in the guy with the demon weapon,.

No worries fellow heretic.

That ain't bad actually, maybe a tribal legend similar to king Arthur or something to keep with the Dark Angels motif of Knightly orders.

What if they found a sword from a King Arthur type legend, and the wielded mutated to look like him? The apothecaries then did some mucking around with the geneseed to spread these qualities across the entire chapter, only for MUTATIONS EVERYWHERE!

Could certainly work, but let us finish rolling our warband before we get to deep into their back story.

Still need a s10 to determine what weird mutation/s we might have.

test

The Options field, put dice+1d10

Confused me at first too.

Rolled 3 (1d10)

rollin for this shit

No Rest for the Wicked. Forget sleep, galaxy needs to burn.

1d100 to determine who our figure of legend is

Who is constantly making these threads?
What's the Point?

Shut up man. We're all enjoying it

Rolled 57 (1d100)

What he said: Plus, we're up to 7 posters.

Also, rolling.

The warband leader, daemon prince or Chaos Lord. I guess we will determine that ourselves.

another 1d100 to see what they did to become so legendary.

you are asking a board dedicated to rolling dice on games for fun why they are rolling dice for a game for fun. What do you expect?

It killed a one-liner OP thread with an anime picture to create some content.

If anything it's all good.

As for the chapter, why not a defense-oriented chapter that got slowly corrupted by the gifts of papa Nurgle, making them unflinching and always wary. By the time outsiders found out how far they fell, it was too late.

It can mesh well with the knights theme.

Rolled 26 (1d100)

Nice trips, champion

Killed some legend of the Imperium. Could have been a Chapter Master, famous Inquisitor, renowned Imperial General.

We discussed a feral world for our band of heretics but let's roll a 1d100 to see what else we could get.

Rolled 100 (1d100)

Our Daemon Prince (Formerly a Chaos Lord who was Formerly a Battle-brother who found a Daemon-Sword) leveraged ancient tribal superstitions within the Chapter to lead the chapter into the embrace of the stoic and unyielding father of plagues! When the Imperium finally discovered this, they sent the Inquisition after them, and our new Chaos Lord slaughtered the Inquisitor and led our warband into the darkness forevermore.

A fuckin space hulk! Literally a mutated, warp tainted bunch of ships!

I'm tempted to say our feral world homeworld got a quick exterminatus and we now rock around in a space hulk, maybe keep genestealers around for challenges. Also works with this Just remember user, we aren't fanatics, more like Iron Warriors, willing to use Chaos as tools or when we need it.

due to space hulk we skip our homeworld terrain and move to 1d10 to see what our combat tactics are.

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Can we get the homeworld terrain roll as well ? It can be fun as well.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Iron warriors plox

Steel Rain! (Well technically Blood Rain but same thing). Lots of drop pods, gunships and jump infantry.

also sure why not, roll a 1d100 for homeworld terrain

Fair enough. So our Daemonic Leader persuaded us to use the plagues of Nurgle to strengthen ourselves, such that we could endure any counter-attack after we unleashed our Pestilent Rain upon our foes!

Rolled 91 (1d100)

What a weird warband

Toxic, our old homeworld was a toxic, plague ridden feral world. No wonder we like Nurgle.

1d10 to determine our special equipment

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Rolled 8 (1d10)

new poster rollin through

whoops my bad, make that a 1d100

8×6 48. Go for it.

Lets work with that. Unholy Wargear..not daemon weapons sadly but pretty close.

now 1d10 to see our status.

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Just like Nurgle's boils we are swelling and slightly oversized.

Another d10 to see why we are getting bigger.

...

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Woops. Forgot to roll

Both result in the same thing. We either merged with another warband or picked up the remains of another. Considering our tendency to work with anyone this aint bad.

a 1d100 to see what allies we have.

Rolled 26 (1d100)

We made friends with another warband or a Chaos Warlord who can bring a warband to our side.

Another 1d100 to see who we hate/who hates us.

Rolled 22 (1d100)

Well that is unexpected, we somehow pissed off a specific Ork Warboss or WAAAARGH!

so to summarize

>renegade chapter
>Dark Angels genestock
>went renegade cause battle brother picked up a cool weapon that turned out to be a daemon weapon that whispered into his mind (working a arthurian legend)
>neutral towards the gods, use them when we need em
>prefer Nurlge over the others
>accepts anyone into the warband, even former foes and mutants
>love mutation and warp corruption above all, mutants get VIP status with our warband
>we no longer sleep due to a mutation, no brakes on the heresy train
>Figure of legend is our battle brother who became leader and eventually a daemon prince
>he killed some imperial legendary figure
>our homeworld is a toxic feral world (either exterminated due to heresy or we still have it and rock around in a space hulk)
>we love using drop pods, gunships and jetpacks
>wield unholy wargear into battle
>we are slightly ove strength due to picking up a smal lwarband and merging it into our own group
>we are buddies with a specific warband and their Chaos Lord leader
>We pissed of an Ork warboss.

With the Ork as we came from a feral world could be we had a bad Ork problem and our warboss came from the same planet. Heard the same legends and decided our big hero needed a good thumpin. Now follows us around trying to start a fight with us over this shit.

Alas I live in Australia and it is nearly 1am so I must head off. If anyone could keep this thread alive and discuss idea's go right ahead.

Ug, stupid childhood rival! Just because we grew to 3 times our old size and started to rock around in a giant ship covering worlds in deadly fungus doesn't mean you have to copy us and then try to claim your doing it better!

The Ork Warboss is in another space hulk and is constantly chasing us around. Clashes between us are known to devastate planets.
