Do you think Bitcoin will one day be used like a real currency, which means that it will be used for your everyday payments, not just for speculation? I see the potential, but I think the blockchain technology has a lot of problems.

The main problems are the delays,
the exceeding power consumption and the transaction fees which make bitcoin very unconvenient as a currency for your everyday needs.

Is there any coin on the market which solves those problems?
Maybe something that is not blockchain based but works in a completely different way?

It's not going to be used as a currency

One day it will literally be worth nothing, when enough people realize that how slow, expensive and useless it is

When lighting network comes out all other crypto and fiat currencies will become omelette.

BTC will become the only currency of the entire world and will be worth millions.

Screencap this post.

no, never, unless tx fees will be 0.01% of tx for every tx and txs will be instant but i really don't see how that can happen

...

No.
Sell Bitcoin.
Buy Monero.
India strong.

trying to avoid the fact your pathetic crypto currency isnt just like any other currency that tries to push itself over its own borders i see

crypto currencies are 3rd world currencies, plain and simple

You don't understand what third world means, do you?

That's my hope, I'll never sell. If I sell I have to pay capital gains tax which the govt will use to destroy my country. I'd rather lose the money then pay tax so I'll hodl to the very end.

t. 2013 miner

Could this be the solution?

No.

BCH is being used a bit where bitcoin used to be
low fees lower than LTC like a cent

>reading LN whitepaper
>The risk model of this attack occurirng is similar to that of miners colluding to do reorg attacks: Extremely unlikely with many uncoordinated miners.
riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

All problems listet in this link are just minor problems, which occur because the tangle is a new thing.
New technologies always got their problems.

And it seems to me that there is some kind of anti-IOTA-lobby from bitcoin-miners who fear losing their money.

To me the arguements in the given link donĀ“t seem very convincing.

Then you don't understand what you're reading. This is an admission that the entire idea upon which iota is based, the tangle, is actually not even pre-alpha at this stage, and does not work without a centralised coordinator to tie everything together.

There is no reason to believe this will ever change as of yet.

If there ever is, by the way, I will be first in line to buy. At that stage it really is revolutionary, but prior to it it's effectively cold fusion.

What if I told you it already is user

iota is a massive bullshit

It would have to hit a point where it becomes super stable.

No way it could be used as a currency now because how the fuck could stores set prices if BTC is worth double the price in a few days?

Yes that's why i hold a shitton of them since 2013.

Could someone give me a quick rundown on the "Lightning Network"?

I keep hearing about it, is the goal to have 0 tx fees and instant tx speeds? How is that possible?

Triple bottom?

Am I the only one seeing this? Coinmarket cap has a little bit of lag in generating charts.

>if your coin doesn't go up in value who is going to invest?
>if your coin doesn't remain stable nobody can use it properly as a medium for real world transactions

i suspect the lack of solution here is partly due to the fact that nobody wants to solve this problem. after all, the moment one crypto actually does what its supposed to and works as a stable medium of exchange, is when a lot of coins fail.

if a stable crypto stepped in and got the acceptance and did the work. then there would be no reason for 90% of cryptos to even exist.

the only cryptos still making bank at that point would be the cryptos that have some other use beyond currency. like ethereum with its smart contracts or iota with its talking microwaves, or even funcoins with their casino use.

the market would shrink massively and there would end the age of rapid return on crypto investing. from then on just smaller money making opportunities on a very minimized crypto market from today.

so lets hope they don't solve the problem of a more stable crypto until we've all bought our lambos eh?

it's also because iota has insane plans to build smart cities or some such shit when we'd rather they focus on the coin then dystopic ideas about building blockchain future cities where human privacy is a distant memory.

it's the 1984 coin on steroids and it's clearly evil. the best uses of iota are all a dictators wet dream. hmmmm...

Super stable compared to what?

Back to 10K to stabilise soon

>Maybe something that is not blockchain based but works in a completely different way?

print out small denominations on paper wallets and trade like dollarinos use hot cheetos as loose change

Monero

oh right let's compare it to the one fuckin global currency primed to get fuct.exe over the last 10 years

Their GDP is 50% higher than BTC market cap, so why the fuck not
