To be honest, there is a very small hidden transaction fee. It is the computer power you use to confirm the transaction of others.
But it is nothing compared to the fees of blockchain currencies.

I bought in IOTA in August, but that doesn't mean anything right now because they seized the balances of anyone who didn't have a transaction confirm in time during a transition phase. Literally a month ago they said they'd give it back and process reclaims and still they haven't done shit.
