Chaos: >Equal opportunity employment, economy and place in society is based on a persons abilities and talents. >Is accepting of all types of sentiant lifes, doesn't treat you as lesser because: alien, female, accursed abomination not meant to exist, etc..... >Chance to win immortality and ascend to higher form of being.
Imperium: >Beaurocratic hell hole where people are born into their position (inevitably a shitty one for most) >Only Homo-sapiens excepted and amongst them psykers and mutants are treated as lesser. >Everyone is forced to worship a corpse on the toilet.
Why would anyone NOT betray the Emperor.
Owen Cox
>horrible death and mutation followed by an eternity of getting g skull fucked.
Robert Collins
>higher form of being
Ian Williams
>>Equal opportunity employment, economy and place in society is based on a persons abilities and talents.
For Astartes, if you're a Human you're trash and are likely expended as such most of the time. Chaos itself doesn't even try to be fair, either, it's not some logical meritocracy, it's, well... Chaos.
>>Is accepting of all types of sentiant lifes, doesn't treat you as lesser because: alien, female, accursed abomination not meant to exist, etc.....
Unless you're a Xenos, which the Chaos Astartes still hate. Or Eldar, which Slaanesh will gobble up the moment they try and invoke the Gods.
>>Chance to win immortality and ascend to higher form of being.
As always, the answer to this thread is the same as all "hurr why you no worship chaos hurr" threads. Chaos warps your soul and enslaves you; you can never come back from anything beyond the lightest Chaos heresy. It twists you and tortures you, and in the end only the absolute most powerful, evil and cutthroat get any amount of respect by the gods. Only they get immortality, and even then that immortality comes with the stipulation that that person is now more of a slave to that god's will than dver before, because he has been transformed into a part of that god. Those lesser than this are treated either as pawns or food, their own insanity and bound soul forcing the poor mortals to accept this. Chaos promises freedom, but enslaves and dominates instead. The only single worshipper of Chaos that has truly gotten what he wanted is Abaddon, for he plots against the Chaos Gods, knowing their selfish ways and using them for his own benefit. The Imperium, on the other hand, is a better fate in two regards. The first, that it fights for man. It is absolute hell for many, but salvation for more. The Imperium is a host of millions of worlds, with millions of cultures. To make a blanket statement about the quality of life in the Imperium is nigh impossible because of this; there are both utopias and dystopias in its demesne. The second, that their souls are protected. Say what you will of its mortal leaders, the Imperium is watched over by one god who is fully devoted to his people. All faithful who fall in his name are not left to be preyed upon by the ruinous powers, but preserved to stand alongside him in defense of their people.

Thats not what chaos is about tho.
Chaos is literal chaos.
Ranging from warbands that want to kill absolutely everything and everyone like The Purge to ones that feel they're the most righteous and purest of the galaxy, like the Flawless Host.
Not to mention chaos is in perpetual war with itself.
Jordan Bell
Point one generally applies to the Imperium as well and point two is just false, there are chaos xenos and chaos Eldar are a thing.
Ian Martinez
>Equal Opportunity employment I hate it in real life so why would I want it in fake life.
>t. white male

I still wish they would actually do something with the Crone World Eldar. The one time we have heard about what the Crones Worlds was like gave the impression of a massive insane hunting ground for daemons where all the billions of Eldar on there are prey, save for the maniacs who occasionally rise up and slaughter all the demons, thus cementing themselves as some of the most dangerous champions Chaos has.
But....where are they? If these Cronelords are so badass, why do they never seem to turn up?
Jordan Perry
>billions of eldar on crone worlds I don't fucking think so
Kevin Barnes
GW is busy writing Codex: Even More Marines.
Adrian Green
chaos space marines are as fiercely xenophobic as the imperial space marines
corrupt and depraved they may be, but they still have a space marine's pride
William Powell
The most powerful daemon princes are human. Doombreed and Be'lakor are both more powerful than marine DPs and even the Daemon Primarchs.
So yes, Chaos only cares about your merit and not your origin.
Anthony Kelly
Well, he did gained some height, didn't he?
Evan Brooks
Astartes hate xenos filth, Chaos is the realm of Man. Aliens can move along praise Lorgar
Robert Parker
that armor's exceptionally badass but I'm not sure how Astartes with that mark of torso are suppose to bend over.
Andrew Sanders
Cant make a Codex out of lord of war choices.
Christopher Hill
he's not devoted to Slaanesh
Lucas Hall
>higher form of being assfucked by Space Marines
They're too busy being damned and/or at their Chaos masters' mercy.
Adam Torres
Also anyone have some decent info about the fallen Striking Scorpions Phoenix Lord? He was supposed to be so ultra badass that the current one was just a small fry in comparsion.
Jose Rivera
That's what I was implying Angron is hands down the strongest Demon Primarch and he was humbled by single fucking Grey Knight
Gavin Collins
I know, but one can't choose not to be born on a hive world.

On the far right, is that banner made out of a shovel?

Drazhar, the master of blades, rumoured to be Arhra? The dude with demiklaives and spiky armour? So, this guy just walks into the Great Shrine of the Incubi, tears a new arsehole out of everything in his path, and then challenges the Hierarch to a duel, which he wins handily, after which he just bows slightly. As if thanking his audience. He hasn't formally claimed the throne, despite having earned it and killing everyone that tries to claim it for themselves to this day. We know fuck-all about his identity, some say he's Arhra, some that he's an empty suit of armour filled with dust, Rubric-style. His name just means "living blade". That's all we know.
Gavin Roberts
Hey that art isn't half bad. Even for recent art that looks okay
