2nd for spending time with the speciap people in your life.
Gabriel Anderson
I don't particularly care about him. I want book 8
Jaxson Fisher
yes Signis Prime will be interesting. both the blood angels and actual 30k daemon rules.
Ayden Brooks
Which supports an army that is an infantry-based army that is a good balance of shooting and melee better, a Librarian or Master of Signals?
Cameron Gomez
> Both factions have Auxilia, Militia and Mechanicum > Loyalists get Knights-Errant, Custodians and Sisters > Traitors get Daemons, Cults and Scoria
Seems legit.
William Phillips
Post your techmarines.
Colton Bell
>30k daemon rules. really? do we have any indication of what they might look like?
Charles Flores
no indication what so ever... but however they are most likely gonna have the usual daemonic units... just with new rules and "rites of war" to balance them against the space marine legions.
Ryan Anderson
honestly why do people keep on thinking it's signus, at the weekender they said they weren't and instead doing a more irrelevant battle
Robert Garcia
Almost made me think you posted a working Joe in NL colors with that face of your Batmarine. Maybe it's my eyes, but that blue looks a little too thick for my tastes. But then again what do I know? I'm not a Magos, apothecary, or a even a Bearversor.
Eli Diaz
IT'S NOT THICK I SWEAR
Luke Cox
I was thinking of getting the Space Wolves Iron Priest since his armour mark looked very unspecific.
Alexander Reed
Favourite Primarch!
Let's go!
Pic related, best primarch with worst haircut.
Luke Long
And this proves why I never will be a Bearversor, but I could still become an apothecary.
Lincoln Torres
Still Russ. Still don't read BL novels.
Jackson Walker
I'M A WILDCHILD COME AND LOVE ME
Andrew Nguyen
There is nothing wrong with the Conan haircut.
Logan Ross
pertuabo >self insert4 autism >master builder >bros with magnus >did what the emperor did, even though he knew he would be hated for it just like magnus >builds his own beep boops >writes all the supplements, whilst getting vulkan and sanguinius to sculpt the minis by showing how fun the game is
Sebastian Russell
headcanon trumps canon apparently, anyway he's a retard for following horus' plan rather than just send an ambassador
Gabriel Kelly
can i ask you where that has been said?
Jonathan Hill
If the Emperor wanted the operation to be handled with care he wouldn't have sent the Space Wolves.
Asher Johnson
at the last weekender where they showed off the secutari, B'C weapon kits and all that jass
Daniel Johnson
i beg to differ on the worst haircut...
Kevin Bailey
no what he wanted was to carefully remove magnus and bring magnus back to terra, and IF they had to DEFEND themseves, then they could
Jonathan Brooks
that's weird because i have literally seen this posted nowhere but here just now. you would think that people would be making a bigger deal about it...
Ryan Walker
>they look like toys with the white/red. The problem is that the WS scheme doesn't use complementary colors - the white is either neutral or yellowish (ivory), and the accent colors are too close to it on a color wheel. I don't think they look good with a cool white, but that would be the best way to get some contrast.
Also, bike/javelin-heavy armies are expensive in terms of money. They're practically a GBP per point.
The story I've heard is that Space Wolves were gray, but an early- or mid-'90s White Dwarf either printed them lighter or the darker gray wasn't photographing well so they used a lighter shade. Years later they wrote an Index Astartes article and just said that the darker gray was pre-Heresy and the blue-gray was post-Heresy.
Nolan Moore
He got that haircut just to fuck with girlyman's shitty empire.
Andrew Martin
I don't wanna give BoLS the ad revenue until they become a good site, but you can trawl through the archives there if you want.
Adrian Wood
Wait. I thought Meduson allowed you to bring Salamanders and Raven Guard unique units. But the book says he only counts as Salamanders and Raven Guard for Rites of War.
Was this errata'd or was the fa/tg/uy that said that exaggerating?
Colton Harris
ok so i just trawled through it and all they had to say was that Signus "might not be book 8" sooo that means as much as a silent fart in the rainforest to me for the purposes of knowing what book 8 is. on top of that i just don't trust BoLS., it's such a shitshow for rumours, not to mention that it's a crap website...
Carter Jackson
The original version is that Horus the Warmaster -whos orders are just as valid as the Emperor's orders prior to the Heresy being outed- ordered Russ to take Magnus out and Russ being loyal to the chain of command did as ordered.
Oliver Anderson
Look at how upset he is.
It's blonde, so it's not even likely to be his real hair and he's still THAT upset.
I believe he assumed the operation of "Retrieve Magnus" didn't need the clarification of "Without murdering his Legion and invading his planet" because he expected basic competency. He also wasn't expecting Horus to stick his Chaosdick in what was supposed to be a slap on the wrist. It's Russ's fault for being a hotheaded faggot that always looking to teamkill.
Elijah Rodriguez
I thought the original was that Leman proved to be the most persuasive Primarch and convinced Emps that Magnus was the traitor.
Xavier James
>implying Sanquinius isn't Corax in drag
Nicholas Harris
>It's blonde, so it's not even likely to be his real hair and he's still THAT upset He's been blonde in other art, but one novel said he had black hair. I like my Papa blonde.
Kayden Green
In the version I remember, Magnus tried to contact the Emperor but couldn't. He then tried to break through the webway barrier to reach Terra and got some unholy assistance. As he breached the tunnel, daemons poured in and Magnus recoiled in horror. Emperor saw Magnus breaking through the tunnel with a horde of daemons and suspected Magnus had turned. He ordered Russ to destroy Magnus, and the rest is history.
Now it seems the Emperor ordered Russ to bring Magnus to justice and Russ, ever loyal to the word of the Emperor, decided to listen to Horus instead, who suggested to ignore the Emperor's orders and burn the whole planet down. With some assistance from Sons of Horus.
HH keeps adding chromosomes to primarchs with every issue.
Connor White
I still think it's probably going to end up being one SoH with a camera, lawn chair, and popcorn watching the whole thing go down.
Luis Carter
Russ is just a mess in the HH. I mean, I don't think he actually had a single decise victory in the entire Heresy:
1) Prospero was almost a draw with the Space Wolves losing almost as many men as the Thousand Sons, even though the wolves had the element of surprise and greater numbers on their side. 2) Bent over and ass-raped by the Alpha Legions 3) Bent over and Ass-raped by the Night Lords.
Ok, I haven't read everything, but do they ever get an actually decisive victory?
John Mitchell
Disillusioned 40k player considering returning to HH for the hobby and maybe for some games if I can find fellow HH enthusiasts (I live in a medium City, but there's not much specialist hobby)
Really close to narrowing it down between Imperial Fists and Word Bearers. I'm worried about painting Fists, but I'm also not really interested in any of the special options or Daemons for WBs.
I do really like the fluff for both, and I'm drawn to Tac squads and Bolter Drill for Fists too.
Thoughts? Potential lists? Reassurances about painting IF?
Isaiah Lopez
But then you can't get non-SW/TS legions into the book, and that's not market appeal nor IP. I'm sure they'll find a way to stuff some allies for TS as well so that it's a great big punch-up between several legions.
Jason Diaz
Fists aren't as bad as people make them out. White Scars and Luna Wolves, now they are a fucking nightmare to get right. My paint refuses to not streak.
Noah Cox
There's plenty of paint schemes around that aren't just yellow.
Angel Wood
The version I know is that the Emperor ordered Russ to bring Magnus to him alive, but through warpcraft Horus got that message corrupted to "kill everything." Russ thought it was an order from the Emperor so he followed it. He'd probably done it before, after all. (At least with one of the two missing legions - I'm a fan of the theory that Molech, named after an old god that received human sacrifices, required the Emperor to feed it one of his sons in order to become as powerful as he became.)
Brody Cox
>Prospero was almost a draw with the Space Wolves losing almost as many men as the Thousand Sons, even though the wolves had the element of surprise and greater numbers on their side. That's a decisive victory. Being the attacker is always going to be costly.
Yellow spray paint as a base makes things much easier!
Benjamin Jackson
>required the Emperor to feed it one of his sons in order to become as powerful as he became. Temporarily setting aside my hatred of the new chaosperor canon, the Primarchs were created long after the Emperor got his power boost.
Jeremiah Martin
I'm thinking along the lines of Rumpelstiltskin - promising your first-born.
OH WAIT
Maybe that's why the Chaos gods are mad at Emps that could be the deal he reneged on. That there was a deal at all has been hinted at for a long time, but with no clue as to what it was.
Benjamin Diaz
There is a mostly black color scheme fo the Fists, if you don't want to paint a lot of yellow.
Aiden Moore
What is with artists and making everyone look like a troglodyte with awful hair?
The ringlet look is fucking terrible. Stick to the Fabio locks plzkthx.
Easton Flores
A "Decisive" victory is fighting an enemy, overwhelming their forces and killing far more of them than they did of you. You know, that thing that everybody else has been having against the Wolves. Giving as good as you got is called a "Minor" or "Costly" victory.
Robert Diaz
>mfw the silhouette of his balls
Nathaniel Reyes
I'm waiting for when we get more Omegon stories. He's intriguing with how he's sent his men on suicide missions, but is also less prideful than Alpharius and somehow "nicer" if you can call it that.
Samuel Sanchez
I've never played 30k, but how balanced is it compared to Warhammer 40k at the moment?
Charles Peterson
30k is 95% Space Marines, meaning that most armies are on an equal playing field. I don't know any truly game-breaking lists. The only real unbalances that I can tell you of is that the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus have pretty much nothing but the big guy himself going for them. All of their stuff is overcosted. Justaerins cost way more than regular Cataphractii's without giving any substantial bonus over the regulars, a Praetor can be upgraded to do the job of any named character for less than the name (A Praetor with Paragon Blade and Plasma Pistol does everything that Loken does (Plus is better at shooting) for less points than him.)
Jack Scott
So, is this pretty much how Ferrus fights with his bare metal hands? m.youtube.com/watch?v=o5lj1Pgjruo Why did you put that in my head?
Landon Sullivan
Have you even played SoH since the new red book?
Nolan Nguyen
According to first expedition we will find out what happened and the emperors origin and perpetuals - in the next year probably around the time of 8th and return of the primarchs Laurie Golding repeatedly hinted it over the last month or so in his posts and that means they have either planned out the novel (2 years in advance in normal lead for comissioning) or its on his desk (1 year tidying up and artwork)
Parker Cruz
I did not realize that they got updated. What are the new rules? Please tell me that Loken and Abaddon are worth taking? Because i'm sick and tired of fielding my models of them as regular sergeants.
Isaiah Price
What would you say I would need aside from the betrayal at calth set to make a decent army for 30k? Does running a normal army with dreadnoughts, marines, predators, and terminators work? Or do you need exclusive fw models?
Jackson Baker
Sons of Horus were fixed recently with 2W Justaerin, a strong Rite of War, and not sure what else. They're good now. Emperor's Children were improved too, but they're still a more difficult legion to use. World Eaters got better as well. Those were the three underpowered armies before the recent red books.
Nathan Peterson
They can get you by, but the FW models do help IMMENSELY. Specifically, Sicarans, Leviathans and the unique units (Deathshrouds, Phoenix Guard, Raptors, etc.) Also, you will need to pay FW for the Volkite weapons that you do need.
Cameron Walker
>I did not realize that they got updated. What are the new rules? Read the OP
Jacob Foster
Fundamentally it's the same game as 40k, so I'm not sure why you'd want to get into 30k if your army isn't going to have a 30k aesthetic. But 30k seems to attract fluff-based players and I'm one of them, so I'm biased in that direction.
Right now a FW Predator is US$69 vs. $58 for a GW Predator (thanks in part to Brexit). That's not too bad a premium, imo.
Gamewise, a plastic 30k army is likely to be weak against heavier vehicles and flyers.
Wyatt Foster
Death Dealer is a great buff for drop podding armies.
Carson Price
YO
Brody Lopez
>WOLFWOLFWOLFWOLF
Thunderwolves when?
Levi Jackson
Probably never.
Lincoln Bennett
Never, furfaggot.
Joshua Price
They were confirmed already, SW special units will be thunderwolf cavalry and grey hunters.
Levi Brown
Actually, the plastic Dread can easily become a contemptor mortis with dual kheres if you have 2 of em, and that's great AA and can potentially hurt heavy vehicles, though admittedly not reliably

Sebastian Ortiz
I'm going to eat my fucking cancer ridden Thanatar if this is true.
Jordan Cox
I like it.
Jack Anderson
Proofs?
Joseph Lee
Bullshit.
Chase Reed
Destroyers and something else is the current rumour
Ian Price
I dont know why they insist on continuing to do this flowing hair bullshit. At first glance it looks like they took Corvus's head, adjusted the angle of the hair, and added braids. Other than that I love the details.
Connor Rivera
Grey Hunters are the destroyers.
Jonathan Howard
I actually like it. I want a better view of that axe.
Colton Reed
Sanguinius had pure adamantium balls, that's why he engaged Horus in reasonable discourse whilst surrounded by daemon prince Atilla, Genghis, hitler and Stalin
Matthew Howard
This is an interesting picture because of how anachronistic it is. By the time Kharn had armor like that, Angron was already a daemon.
Christian Richardson
I made a thread for this but I'm gonna delete it to save space and because this is a better place to ask.
Given some cool custom sculpts of homebrew legions and primarchs I've seen on my Instagram feed, alongside the release of Leman Russ' primarch model, I've been wanting to try my hand at modelling/kit bashing my own ocdonutsteel Primarch from my ocdonutsteel Lost Legion.
What are some good bases I can work off of? None of the forge world primarch models or kabuki miniatures "totally not primarchs" knights of legend series work.
Basically, I'd like to browse a variety of heroic character models roughly to the scale of forge world's primarch models.
And if you want, I can talk about how totally gay and lame my homebrew lost Legion and Primarch are.
Angel Mitchell
I love any character with the Axe+Sword combo, but honestly, I really wish it was Sword+Spear, because Russ actually has a spear, but I don't remember him ever having an Axe
Caleb Taylor
Is there crunch? Because all I care about is crunch user.
Give me the numbers.
Brandon Rogers
Oh, no, I don't have crunch, because I don't think I could make competent game mechanics. If I had to use a proxy rule set it'd be Corax in Post-Istvaan mode.
Zachary Morris
>Khârn, I'm already a Daemon
Samuel James
Fists player here, it ain't as bad as you think as long as you prime white. Personally I prime white, base Ushabti bone, argrax earthshade the details carefully, then go over with two coats of Lamenters yellow glaze. I'll stick to Yriel Yellow for my vehicles, though, since they're close enough in colour. Honestly, you could just yriel yellow the whole army and it'd be even simpler
Bentley Sanchez
Seeing as how legion tacticals are basically identical to grey hunters already (no heavy weapons, no combat squads, extra CCWs), and someone from FW (might have been Bligh) said thunderwolves will never be allowed anywhere near 30k, I'm going to call bullshit.
Hunter Adams
Sangy is the only stable one
Joshua Wilson
This artwork should give ya something.
Colton Nguyen
Explain the Khan's disorder?
Kayden Martin
It's just fanart. Even in the days before the HH book series when the only source of info on this era were Index Astartes and Collected Visions, Kharn never got the berserker khornate armor until the very end of the Heresy at the very least.
pic related was how collected visions said he looked on Terra
Michael Ward
Look at his tiny ass arms ha ha he's like a shitty malformed baby in armor
Jacob Flores

Brody Taylor
Unpainted ceramite suits him.
Owen Cox
It's a good model, but thats got to be the shittiest possible angle to take the photo from.
Christian Torres
Nope. The axe on the model has an edge, not teeth.
Lincoln Nelson
Perturabo, of course. The Lord of Iron demands we fight for the Warmaster, and we obey.
Jose Williams
FW are also staying consistent with the badly painted faces on all the primarchs.
