Question for the author: Would the Sharpie only affect all the instances of that particular word, or does it also affect other words that refer to the same thing as the altered word (i.e. would changing a plural into a singular, or vice versa, also affect words like "them" or "it" or whatever)?

So, I'm an unkilleable super-scientist that can manipulate minds (as well as defend my own) and rearrange matter as a I see. So, basically Doctor Manhattan, except that improving myself with be kind of hard with my powers, but I can work with avatars or something like that.

With a single thought I can access the minds of all the scientist in the world. I can get their knowledge and use them as my puppets.

My first task will be take control over the local population, and start working on my underground facility to create all kinds of wonders. Specially start developing bio-quantum computers to expand my capabilities, nanotechnology to do as a I fit, communications and teleportation regardless the distance through wormholes.

With my genius, perfect memory and molecular telekinesis I can start assembling armies of droids to serve me and quickly replace my workers, as well as working on creating programs and enhancements that let me have perfect micromanagement of all my droids.

Even if other people in the world have great powers, I can do so many things in so little time that they cannot respond before I have brainwashed all the leaders in the world to work for me, and start putting into orbit satellites to wipe out the strongest enemies (I just need a good GPS and a really dense rock to have a Mass Destruction Weapon that can target any place in Earth).

I don't know if time travel or dimension hopping would be between my reach, but even if Earth goes to shit I will simply create a capsule and go to Mars or any other planet with enough matter for me to what I want. Create a Dyson sphere in some decades and live in my own comfy VR simulation for ever.

I just take concepts I like regularly and apply them to lewd cyoas. For instance, I have a purely wholesome fondness of LoZ: Minish Cap. I just like the theme & dynamic of size variation. Or were you referring to slimes? In that case, it's an extension of adoration of physical purity. I'll take a smoothie over a fruit any day.

I choose to be the Emprah. I dislike the fucking xenos, but you don't have to like someone to make an ally. I make peace with the Eldar, They help me, I keep them alive. Once we're done with everbody else, we split the universe between us. I'm thinking 90/10, it's still more universe than they have Eldar to fill.
Also, I convince the Orks to make them WAAAGH! against the tiranyds or Necrons instead of me.

If multiplayer, I contact the Eldar Death God and Da' Greatest Warboss, so we can team up, exterminate the other three races (and the tau), and after that's done we dissolve the alliance and fight for victory between the three of us.
I am no giving Chaos, the Necron ot Nids even a chance of winning. I will kill humanity and leave the galaxy fo the Eldar before I let one of those shits win.

Moving at the speed of light negates Neutralize - or just staying inside an opaque bubble - even if they also have Lightspeed, as its senses are precognitive. God Mind to scan for likely supervillain targets and nudge them away from uniting and towards peace.

Oracle would help greatly, but I want to be able to teleport to Mars, so nevermind. Limited Omniscience combos very well with TK, but Lightspeed effectively lets you directly sense things on earth anyway.

Good thing with Omniscience I don't even need to teleport to you to exert billions of newtons at any range. You don't have any means to see beyond your sight range, while I can see everything that happens on a planet at once. I also have the same power as you, so I can sense all minds of people on Earth and manipulate them. Basically, I have an unlimited range of telekinesis while you have around a mile radius. As soon as I sense you manipulating a person's mind, I just gib them to death.

Ooh, that was just offering some kinda imperfect immortality option. Perfect immortality options can easily break a CYOAs balance, so I needed to nerf it somehow.

Molten Tusk. Slow, and not resistant to fire is great for me. And I'm going to completely ignore his earthquakes by using hotsteps to jump onto his back. Not much he can do with me there, especially with Archeon distracting him while I cut him open. And Lava bath makes me immune to heat, which is good since he looks a tad hot.

And I totally wasn't eyeing the phoenix maiden.

After shit went down and my old house lies in ruin I set out and become a sellsword. All the general knowledge about herbs, natural sciences and so on come in really handy for this kind of life and being an exellent fighter doesn't hurt aswell.
After one job this poor bastards could only pay me with their oldest family posession. An old book about history. So I set out to the closest Maester and ask him if his order would be willing to buy this book from me. To my surprise it turnes out that this book seems to have some lost parts in it and he begs me to deliver it to Oldtown for its study.
Not only is the pay good and in advance but on my travels I begin to read in it and evolve, besides an new found interest in the written, an idea.
In the Citadel I ask the Seneschal for a long term use of myself. At first sceptically I am used to escort new maesters to their keeps or transport the copies of copies from one castle to the next, but as time goes on the Citadel seems to have found a like in me.
I get send send around to gather first hand knowledge that would deemed to dangerous for normal maesters. I am tasked with finding lost scrolls in raided ruins, infiltrate an arm of the Alchemists Guild and get send to other continents to not only buy books from far away countries and scribes but to write down my own discoveries of strange new animals and exotic recourcess and cultures.
Eventually I am known as the Paper Knight and travel the world to gain new experience and knowledge. And who knows in what conflicts of old artifacts and magic mysteries I will find myself in.

Ah sweet, thanks for the update. If I may ask, could you include an option that makes all six choices appear simultaneously? Maybe add a reward if one defeats the other five and conquers the galaxy, like negating one drawback after victory.

This is still a hard choice too. I like all of them, though The Great Devourer is at the bottom. Going through some of the perks (opinions are based on only you, the player, appearing and not all six simultaneously):

Difficult to judge how easy or difficult this choice would be due to so many possibilities. A great choice for many, mostly because it probably doesn't change your personality that much. Even though the Imperium is at its lowest, it's still the strongest force in the galaxy. Knowing everything any human has done in the Imperium allows huge, immediate reform on an impossibly vast scale. The most able humans promoted, corruption dealt with, conspiracies exterminated. The Emperor can return lost technology to the Imperium to once again be mass produced. The Emperor can, like before the Horus Heresy, begin cracking the webway and eventually no longer need to power the Astronomicon while dramatically boosting Imperium mobility. And being the strongest psyker definitely has its perks. Just... don't make any more Primarchs.

>Fifth Chaos God
Near unlimited power in the warp; change it to suit your every desire. Live out every fantasy, unfathomable pleasure. Adding an army the equivalent to the other four Chaos Gods will probably easily tip the balance in favor of Chaos, spilling out and overtaking the galaxy.

Probably the easiest victory. Near effortlessly uniting all orks is incredible, probably unstoppable. Being a clever, powerful ork with blessing of Gork and Mork is icing on the violence cake. Plus, since you are an ork, you'll love your new lifestyle of war and only war.

If C'tans were godlike. "far superior" to C'tans is super godlike. And since you are probably the only active C'tan, you can hog all the life energy from killed beings - growing even stronger. This is probably the third easiest victory. Uniting the Necrons is potent, only held back by the relatively long time such an endeavor could take (unless you as a C'tan can just teleport across the galaxy willy nilly and you know the location of all tomb worlds). Super technology lets you create more soldiers from new species if need be. The most obvious weaknesses are that you cannot work with anyone and are weak to the Warp.

Second easiest victory, but in my opinion the most boring. Your army comes auto-united. You are essentially isolated. You live to devour and reproduce - that is your one and only real strategy. This is probably a fun choice for avid RTS players, I suppose.

Easily the hardest victory. So many threats exist in the galaxy that it could extinguish the flickering flames of the Eldar before you build up forces. Strongest perks that I see are the reintroduction of advanced Eldar technology, the release of powerful Eldar souls (which, when combined with technology, could allow construction of many additional Wraithlords), and repairing the webway. Personally I'm curious what would become of the Dark Eldar after Slaneesh is slain.

Counter-Counter point. What you see above is the stand-alone version of the CYOA. It was made to follow up on this. For the stand-alone version, I changed the wording specifying what kind of money it could take.

God Powers should be priced at 10 points. But that's just, like, my personal opinion man.

If strife did for some reason want to update it, a compromise could be made that players can still keep their 5-per-power build, but players can also choose some perk from making them 10-per-power (weaker enemies, more time to prepare, etc). As of right now minor and moderate powers are too weak to compete without special perks.

I say leave it as is. A good way to have more posters give the minor and moderate powers a second glance would be to give us a companion. Strife's already provided a good candidate so just have her stranded with us due to time and powers shenanigans and have us pick her new set of abilities. Make it so she can't have any major powers or maybe just one and there you have it.

Everyone gets to keep their power fantasy and builds will include the other tiers more now. We also get a partner early on who may or may not be used to life amongst gods and demi-gods. At the very least she'll know some tricks to surviving the clusterfuck coming our way.

So, how would you handle making a character that's an alien that isn't featured? Could I refluff a currently existing origin? Or would I have to start from scratch with the watcher option?
