For you filthy blueberries.
Love the Auxiliaries at the end though.

Finally, can't wait to snipe my foe from inside clever hiding spots

>that demiurg scene
I came a little.

Already played the beta so they won't be really new for me but still looking forward to it.

I wonder if they'll call it a day now that they delivered everything they promised with the pre-order bonuses or if they will continue development and we get a new road map in the coming days.

Also does anyone know what soundtrack they used for that?
Or is it something specifically made for the trailer?

>that demiurg scene
>I came a little.

You and me both.

I figured that Necrons were a given for future DLC. I'd like to see them at least. Tyranids would be nice if they got the animations for the squigly space tentacles right.

>Demiug

Never thought I'd see the day when they'd get some love.

Necrons and Tau are a given, but will the Dark Eldar get a fleet?

It's a shame the game is overall utterly horrible, particularly in multiplayer due to horrendous balance.

I think the poll they did back then for the second DLC race was Tau > Tyranids > Necrons

So nids and crons are the next candidates. The only question is if they consider it worth the effort, their player base isn't all that huge anymore I think.

Though on the other hand those will probably the first DLCs that could actually make them money because they weren't included in the original package

What killed the playerbase, and can it be fixed?

I don't actually mind it too much. The games are short enough that a loss doesn't hurt too much, especially since the punishment is also rather low.

And the player base is small enough that there isn't really a "pro scene" that ruins every single match by only running the FotM build.

General imbalance at the beginning. Also there isn't really anything to really grind towards so the main fun comes from hopping onto voice with a friend and playing some rounds, which is apparently not something a lot of people want to do in games nowadays.

It's not really "killed".
I mostly play 2vs2 and there the queue is short enough that I can easily pass the time between games (normally around a minute) by changing around some upgrades, adjusting the deployment settings and so on.
There are enough people to keep playing MP without running into the same guy over and over again, but it is also not really huge anymore so if you have to pay multiple devs from the DLC revenue it might get tricky.

Can't wait to crush some blueberries.

Splitting queues.

They need to make ranked one day a week or something.

>those demiurgs

>you will never see anything as remotely impressive as the space station at the beginning

Did they add fleet color?

>dem demiurg

Wish you could get rid of the hooks on the Dal'Yth

The X-46 upgrade plus fire caste favor turns it into a rape machine since every single manta bomber deployment triggers a fire and raises the troop value by 3 (on top of the regular assault actions).

But damn, it costs so fucking much ;_; I could bring a cruiser for that price.

>"T'au will grow larger."

>that feel when we'll never see the demiurg on the actual tabletop

Fuck me.

Did they remove the ability to give a water caste favor to the auxiliary ships?
My demiurgs have no option to apply favors or crew points.

> Have enough time for one game before going back to work
> Choose my favourite "get rekt campers" build for Chaos
> Matched up with another Chaos player
> Super butthurt because he only wants to face Tau
> Next 10min wasted because this homo quits at a snails pace

I just wanted a single match :(

Anyone in the beta have a run down of the ship types?

You want me to list the ships available to them?

Patchnote here: store.steampowered.com/news/externalpost/steam_community_announcements/243582826884165739

I really wish they'd put out more single-player content. I enjoyed the campaign enough to play it twice, and would happily pay for more of the same, especially if they do campaigns for the other races.

Oh well, I guess the multiplayer fanbase is who the game was made for in the first place, so I really shouldn't be surprised if that's their focus.

Sp gothic is good right? Better than eternal crusade atleast.

Will Deathwing save 40k video games?

>cruiser with earth caste favor
>enemy sends his escorts in front to reveal me
>range of 25k on the experimental railgun
>escort explodes half a map away

Kek, they should have probably lowered the damage a lot more and reduce the CD in exchange. Don't even need stealth alloy like this, he isn't gonna be able to reveal me without first flying through my barrage anyway

>Will Deathwing save 40k video games?
New trailer tommorow: twitter.com/SpaceHulkFPS/status/781519542094798849

yes

They're just Squats with a name change.

To be fair, Escorts are made of paper.

As someone who hasn't played the beta, do railguns count as macrocannons or lances for the purposes of holofields? I really want something to make those annoying Eldar players whine more than they usually do.

Our legs will be OK. All our legs are going to be OK.

twitter.com/SpaceHulkFPS/status/778959098280804352

>Genestealerr is pushed back by the flamer

Well it is literally a fire hose.

Nice to see someone get that Imperial Flamers are spraying pressurized ignited fuel, not jets of flame

It's the ion cannons that count as lances as far as I know, railguns are like macros

>To be fair, Escorts are made of paper.

Yeah, but with the experimental railgun I can basically remove even the last bit of usefulness they brought to the match.
Though it does take a bit of effort to hit because the gun is kind of off center so you cannot just put the ship on halt and then target the enemy to have it align by itself.

I cant believe it

The Dark Angels are going to save fucking 40k video games

So, it's a more finicky Nova Cannon then?

Fucking soggy cum soaked shit plastered toast would be better than Eternal Crusade.

Think eldar pulsar that is offset a tiny bit. and doesnt pulse instead it charges then fires.

wouldn't compare it to the nova cannon because the experimental railgun is down to skill and not luck

also helps immensely to actually use the cogitators for that one. doesn't even help the enemy that he is warned because the shot comes to quickly

kinda annoys me that it is off center because it means you cannot use it on autofire

Ya, I think it's nice weapon to have just have to micro it.

Warhammer 40K neophyte here. Demiurgs are Tau's auxiliaries ? Never heard about them before

Sqauts

Well because they're not really touched upon much outside of it model wise. Hell I think they only get a passing mention really in any of the tau books.

They're seemingly and hopefully becoming a bigger deal.

It'd crack me the fuck up for squats to return to 40k as BB's for the Tau.

>Tau get squats
>Suddenly more people on Veeky Forums like Tau

Oh I see thanks. Now that I look into it, squats don't really exist in the figure game anymore so that's why

I want Damocles Gulf Crusade campaign expansion, Emperor dammit!!!

Data recovery is quite funny with the demiurg stronghold if you have a asteroid field at the spawn point.

Just put it in there and anything that wants to steal the data will first have to eat the damage from entering it and then get fucked by the laser.

Especially considering that it's damage doesn't scale with the ships. You could just bring a bunch of them on light cruisers and still deal full damage.

Only downside of that is that you can't use the X-46/fire caste rape combo anymore if you do that.

So this is how Kitten found shadowsun

gotta say though, I don't really like the kroot sphere

having some blob that can fire into every direction hanging around in space sounds kinda funny, but the fact that it is so weak, ALWAYS moves and can only change direction every few seconds through a full ahead burst makes it kinda useless in an actual battle

Yeah it's a pile of shit.

...

Well, they are Kroot.

>literally nothing in the game or in this thread is referencing Custodes
>still has to push his pathetic smut, seeking validation and a circle jerk

Nothing in this thread referencing the genestealer cults user and here you are posting a picture of gene-cultist.

Fucking faggot.

a bit sad actually because it limits the options Tau have so much.

The cruisers are identical, the only difference is if they have the stronger version of the ion cannons or the rail guns.

The heavy cruisers will either be the demiurg, either as strong or weak version, since the Kroot sphere is only really fun in theory but shit in practice.

The battleship only has one option to begin with IIRC.

So really the only choice you have is which light cruiser you want to bring - the one with the missiles or the one with the bombers

I don't know I find them fun if you build a missile spam list.

But too be honest. The tau fleet isn't all that fun for me. Then again I'm a faggot that loves the eldar fleet so...

Didn't mean to imply that they weren't fun, only that there is basically only one way to build your fleet apart from the light cruisers, which will be the first to blow up anyway.

Are progerians the first phase of their invasion?

Probably I mean look at that fucking mutant.

Demiurg bastion or stronghold? What's the different besides cost? Is there any purpose to the Kroot oddball?

Speed I think.

Krootball is shit.

>What's the different besides cost?
Identical apart from the fact that one version is cheaper and weaker across the board. So just check what your setup looks like in the end and if getting the cheaper version might help you squeeze one more good ship in there.

>Is there any purpose to the Kroot oddball?
No. I would probably play one or two matches with it just to have seen it and then replace it with another demiurg. The almost complete lack over its movements makes it pointless, it would require too much micro with regard to your fleet formation for the rather low strength

Shamless bump

>tfw you have ships with different speeds in your fleet so the battle line dissolves somewhere on the way and the second row starts shooting torpedoes into the first
r-reee

I hope they have dlc so you can have chapters like the Blood Angels or Imperial Fists.

>D E M I U R G

Salamanders or riot.

I really hope the devs eventually add ships to the older factions. I just want my Grand Cruisers, damn it!

G I T G U D

>We got blueberries before Necrons

really makes you stare in silence and really think about how you can't really think

I'd like to see them push on.
Dlc or expansion format.

Necrons and space squid, as another user said, would be good.

I'd also like to see firther campaign modes, preferably one which allows you to select your race from the available pool, though more thematic ones would be fine if they went that route, showing a story for each featured faction(of course that'd be more resource intensive...)

DoW3trailer.gif

Demiug reminded me of the overlord tank

youtube.com/watch?v=5OTn3FXkMB0

Did I miss something or can the Tau warp travel now?

Oh, that brings me back. Nothing like making half a dozen overlords with healing propaganda and steamrolling your friend, only to come back and realize he nuked your base.

We were never really good at that game.

Yes, but instead of doing the Imperial/Chaos/Ork thing of "just jump all the way into the Warp, Gellar field on, blast off as far and fast as possible before the daemons get us" and instead just go a little way into the Warp for a while, then they get out, then in again ad infinitum until they're at their destination.

and a race change they are dark iron dwarfs. not squats. but according to this trailor they are space dwarf british Nazis who use hunting rifles via AR drones. the deimirge actually designed lots of tau technology.. the drones the iron cannons if you look on the demirge ships the parts that look tau actualy where kitbashed from the demirge not the other way around. (I'm theaming my 40k tau on them waiting for AoS squats that will be literal squts jet packs say wahts up)

...

KROOT WHERE?!

They are a popular army right now, that's why they were released.

So is there some kinda story mode, now?

Also, I like how Tau keep changin accents. We sou'frican now

I like the new colours of the Kroot Ship. Too bad, it sucks.

So auxiliaries can't take favors anymore? My skirmish Kroot warsphere lost its favor, but my Demiurg ship kept its favor. Is it just the Kroot who can't favor up?

I was hoping that if they kept the fake jap accents, one would yell "SHAMEFUR DISPRAY" if there was a warp out spiral.

>Vaguely Asian/Jamaican accent
What the fuck? Why is Tindalos so racist?

Didn't the community (well forum community anyway) vote for Tau so they did Tau?

Is multiplayer any good? I tried a while back but kept running into some faggot glitching 50 escorts onto the field every game. So I said fuck it and went back to skirmish.

>So auxiliaries can't take favors anymore? My skirmish Kroot warsphere lost its favor, but my Demiurg ship kept its favor. Is it just the Kroot who can't favor up?
Can't put favors on either of them, so your Demiurg is probably a leftover from the beta

What favors will you use for the different ship classes?
I'm probably gonna go with fire for the light cruisers and specc them completely on boarding and air for the battleship to make up for the fact that it cannot use its gauge for sharp turns.
No idea about the regular cruisers though.
Guess I could put fire favors on them too and just make the enemy cry but that sounds kind of boring.

What's the role of Demiurg ships?

If you bring the little escorts, messengers?, do you get more precision?

I don't think they've implemented fleet colors yet have they?

Anvil. They're tough as nails, actually have broadsides and the cutting beam means you want to be as close as possible. You throw them into the fray while the Tau ships hide in a cloud and go "pew pew" with their railguns.

to fuck your shit up.

So... what do the Demiurg look like? Do you see a captain portrait when you select their ships?

Bigger point limits in 2v2 when?

Nah, the captain portrait is a closed window.
