MANA DISCUSSION

Let's talk about MANA. I have about 8k MANA right now. I am neither shilling nor FUDing the Decentraland product, I would just like to get some of your thoughts on it.

>Token burn on friday.

>VR Decentralized world.

I predict it 2x today or/and tomorrow

then possible 2x again before friday

You think it will be due to the token burn?

Just bought 6.8k MANA at 510 sats.

If this becomes a new Second life, MANA will literally make you rich, right?

that will help, but it will be from demand, fomo, burning, and pump groups

have you looked into decentraland? Fucking sick af senpai

also check this meme triangle

praise kek

we have maximum 12 hours before complete lift off

I don't know TA very well, honestly it's a fucking mystery too me because it's just guessing what other people will do. Does this meme triangle mean that it is reaching a point where it will either go up or down by a lot?

Any insights on the long term potential of the decentraland project?

I think it could actually play a huge role in the future of gaming and VR all together, but I'm really not into the technicalities of the project

Ah fuck it. Just bought another 4k. Thanks for your magic, Meme triangle user.

theoretically, it should go up, that is a classic bullish triangle, but sometimes it gives out and goes down, given the demand I would say it goes up hard.

absolutely long term providing the game is legit, like minecraft legit, it will be a billion market cap

There was an AMA earlier today on reddit.

reddit.com/r/decentraland/comments/7j6mbe/decentraland_ama_terraform_event_ama_starts_on/

Where to buy mana?

Bittrex.

I have 10k mana, locked 2k into that genesis city contract. Does the auction start at friday and the mana i locked in can be used for that? I have no idea what this is even.

It is also on binance.

Check out the AMA on reddit, or their wiki page.

So 60,000 Parcels of land will be for sale at the auction. Each parcel will cost a minimum of 1000 mana. This means a minimum of 60 Million mana will be burnt buying land. This has to be fantastic right?

May be a newbie question but wouldn't we say the event on the 15th is already priced in?

>kid wants to buy shit on auction
>oh shit out of mana
>rushes to exchange to buy mana

No one knows how the auction will play out.

Why the fuck I need to be so retarded lol. Lost 300 MANA if i buy now, should I wait little bit? At 490 sats I would get my 300 MANA back.. Fuck me.

Dude, it's fucking $24 worth of MANA. Just buy in now.

Here's a preview of what their auction on friday will look like.

Can someone ELI5 terraform/Coin burning

So imagine you have 10 apples. They are the last apples on the planet. They are each worth $1 right now. Someone comes up and eats 3 apples. Now there are only 7 apples left on the planet. This raises the values of the remaining apples.

Yeah it is. Im just so fucking mad to myself. Lost over 100$ today because trying to trade and get losses back. How can I stop this retarded behaviour?!

HODL and don't have weak hands. I lost $800 in 2 seconds trying to chase a pump last week. Learned my lesson to stop being a faggot.

The auction will start on friday and last until December 22nd.

Yeahh but what's the terraform thing ? Heck let me rephrase my question. What is MANA ?

I have 0.02 btc in xby right now, bought in at $0.07. Should I go all in for mana or maybe just 0.01 btc? Xby at ath right now, $0.105

It's good to hear I'm not the only one. So many anons lost money because they are greedy. Now I really HODL. Said this too many times but now, really. Have to learn that daytrading is not for everybody.

Cant wait for auction. 6.5k MANA now so maybe I'm gonna make it. Still thinking that I sell my SALT (bought 2.97$) and buy this little bit more..

I am unironically going to buy a shit ton of land at the auction

It is essentially the first time land is being sold to buyers in the VR world known as Decentrland (Google Decentraland)

MANA is the currency that will be used in this VR world. Imagine the game "Second Life", but it is VR and built using the blockchain. This means all users can be anonymous, and there is no developer "god." The devs can still do ev stuff, but because it utilizes the blockchain, the people are the ones who will build the world. Idk man, it's hard for me to put into words. Google is your friend.

So MANA is the currency used in the world. It will circulate like any other economy. However, any MANA used to buy land in the game (Think Louisiana mother fucking purchase) will be gone FOREVER.

I REPEAT, MONEY USED TO PURCHASE LAND WILL BE TOASTED.

Nice? I have 10k staked, and sitting on another 10k to see what happens with the price. Sold 10k the day before yesterday, at peak. Had it since ICO. Feels good people actually give a fuck about it now, when I've been holding MANA for months. Shit I got bonus MANA in the auction just for staking almost the day it was available. Also, one of the larger community districts was my proposal on github.

To expand upon this, here is a reply from the team about the expansion of land.

Are you guys retarded? VR doesn't even generate enough revenue with quality content and you buy second life vr stuff which is literally a unity game I could program in 3 days. Drop those bags unless you want to hold 8 years

Interesting, and coming friday is the first auction where land will be auctioned ?

That is correct.

I do too. I don't know how high it'll go, but I plan on seeing the MANA value at 18 cents at least

They aren't using Unity anymore, they have decided to use AFRAME. Also, the VR adoption hasn't really occurred yet, since it is still prohibitively expensive. But that will change over time. The Oculus GO will release at ~$199 which is a pretty reasonable. Unless HTC VIVE can reduce the price of the 2.0, I think I will wait on the Oculus.

Kek. VR is very young, you really don't expect it to gain some attention next couple of years? Think the casinos and everything inside the game. Fuck, I don't even have VR but I'm gonna buy it if MANA makes me some money.

200$?! That's pretty cheap. Is there any dates when it could come?

this coins seems like an extreme meme but I often see it on bittrex with biggest gains of the day. When should I invest, and how high do you think it will go?

look into VIBE too.

I'm considering moving most of my investment to MANA before Friday, but it might be too late now

Thanks user! Interesting, very interesting. Shame it's only those two exchanges, is it coming anywhere else?

Their site says early 2018. They have to stay competitive. Plus I think Oculus and HTC are worried about losing market dominance, since it was revealed about the Nintendo Switch containing code for VR. Nintendo have been historically great with hardware, so if they do their own VR it could help push adoption. Playstation also has their own VR now too, come to think of it. Another interesting fact, the company that created Beats by Dr Dre recently partnered with VIBE which is another VR cryptocurrency. Food for thought.

How long does a btc deposit to bitter take right now?

i think things like mana will be the future if done well.I can imagine plenty of Video game companies adopting this technology to hold billions of dollars in digital assets,
Like imagine being actually able to value and sell your farm on farmland or sell your property on the sims

*bittrex

But will all parcels be auctioned ? Btw, are there other auctions going to happen?

Obviously not all parcels will be auctioned if no one bids. However, extra land will be available for purchase with minimum 1000 Mana.

You know lot of stuff about VR I see. I haven't follow any news, thought know that PS 4 has also nice looking VR. Next 5 years shows us what will happen. I really think VR is going to be pretty in future.

you're thinking pretty small senpai, think permanent digital city, where anyone can go to socialize, learn, shop, etc. it could be revolutionary if they succeed.

Lol, pretty BIG thing in future. Not just pretty.

Is VR planned to be mandatory? My only experience with these kind of games was worlds.com, quite a long time ago. I can imagine VR enhancing the experience, but not to the point where you absolutely need it to have some fun.

No it is not.

Also, another question answered on AMA

i don't see grown ups using that for work, and that is where the money is at
Also, the graphics will suck ass

Minecraft graphics "suck ass" too. Look how that turned out. They are using low poly graphics so more people can play the game. Why would you make a game like this and leave all of the normies out? They're the ones with the money.

you are right user-kun,whatever the future hold, the valuation of digital virtual reality assets will be a multi trillion dollar market in it self.
A bit off topic, but there are so many technology and industries coming out now, one just need to pay attention to them and be patient and they will be multi-millionaires.
industries like VR as we said and space colonization
we are gonna see marketcaps like we have never seen before. Think Apple at nearly a trillion is alot..youre going to see people valued at 400billion to 1 trillion dollars in the public eye.

i am not doubting VR
i am just saying that this is a pioneer
the one that will be used in the future will be a different one
good investment nonetheless

now youre thinking too small, in the 80s it was seen as little kids playing video games and now alot of adults play console games like COD.

You shoudl not thinking so narrow, the pace of graphics and technology will continue going up at an alarming rate. In past it was cheatcodes, who could have thought you would get boost up in video games by doing s in-app purchases, tomorrow it will be buying VR assets

If they succeed then they won't just be a pioneer. They will be the worlds first permanent VR city. Sure others could be built. But it would always maintain status as the first and would see continued growth/maintenance.

but it will be build on shit graphics
it will not survive the test of time
unless the code can be manipulated and changed later

>i don't see grown ups using that for work, and that is where the money is at
Yes, as we all know videogames and entertainment have never made any money, they're a tiny market.

...

people either play high graphics games on a PC or a bad graphics game on a mobile phone
Even now, some VR games have amazing graphics, yet this one has bad one.
All i am saying is that graphics are a liability. And that VR market will explode in 5-10+ years. Not now.

I think this concept is on to something, but in its current state, it is absolute shit. Novel idea, terrible execution. Who the fuck wants to own virtual land? that shit isnt real.

to be fair, people bought the land on the moon
difference is, moon is not going anywhere

MANA is one of those alt coins that goes straight vertical every so often. I see it breaking 10 cents this week.

people literally bought land on the moon which means nothing. you can actually do less with land on the moon.

League of Legends is a game designed for toasters and it has absolute dominance in market value nowadays senpai, it has surpassed WoW by a wide margin a long time ago

I'm strapped in with 4000+ Mana. Should I triple up on that? More? Should I buy literally 100K?

Just bought 10k at 490 sats. Had to study it thoroughly before I bought in. Lol. I'm just not a fly by the seat of your pants daytrading pump and dumper. I have to know what I am buying.

I've been pretty damn comfy in here since 364 Sats. Studied this thoroughly and holding long term as well. If I can just get a miner dip, I will double up.

Lamboland together, then. That is a very cute Betty Paige. I have never seen that one before. Are you a collector?

Well, you know, a Gallery here, a Gallery there.

Second Life 2.0 = Second (and third) Lambos for MANA holders.

just bought into 500 Mana at 490 sats... gonna HODL as fuck brehs

douchebag! this shit is going to be auction style and you can get sniped by someone plus we will be using the fucking ETH network for this shit this is gonna suck mechaballs cryptokitties 2.0

>Token burn on friday

source on this?

If the client or standard which interprets the blockchain data is open then this is the first real virtual reality land sale. The land will probably exist forever as the standard evolves. As long as the standard is open if another tech takes the lead your assets can still be ported over to whatever the future holds.

can't get sniped. every extra bid adds 5 hours and has to be a minimum raise of 25%.

bought 50k mana @ 486 sats. Been holding and I already set 50% sell order @ 750 sats and rest at 999 sats

They tweeted it.

twitter.com/decentraland/status/940339669199409152

For the lazy

If the price of BTC goes down, won't you essentially be selling MANA at the same price? I never understood this.

I'm not a TA fag but that chart looks ripe for a moon if I've ever seen one.
