Would be hard to find places to dry. So much water and your skin will start to fall off.

Cold.

Very fun for our leopard-seal loving druid.

Wet.

Difficult, speluncking is already a nightmare could you imagine doing that waist deep in water? A bloody nighmare.

A nightmare. Half move speed, easy to conceal traps, poison and disease easy to catch, vulnerability to cold and electricity

Basically this: youtube.com/watch?v=7e_baIObhFY

Depends on the game and depth of water, but the movement would be slowed, and move silently-type checks would take penalites on account of all the water splashing. Dryness would be anissue for PCs, ans their equipment would get wet. No torches, no light. No bedroll, no rest, etc.

Don't forget that many aquatic/amphibious enemies could sneak up to right on top of the party in dark murky water.

I hope really short-lived, unless you're protected against it being exposed to so much water is going to be both tiring and terrible for your health. Expect dem trench feet.

Can skeletons swim?

Depends, do bones float?

Doubtful. Even then they might not have enough surface area to move effectively. Their swimming might look more like flailing.

Ocarina of Time's Water Temple, which means infuriating and cheap as fuck, but actually rather easy.

Flooded areas are some of the most dangerous parts of the Paris Catacombs, and that's just a mundane place without any monsters or intentional traps.
For example, a pit in the floor will be impossible to see and will leave you well below the waterline. If its deep enough, you might end up on the completely submerged floor below you, so now you're surprise cave diving and have to find your way back up through the small, impossible to see hole.
Cave diving, by the way, is the most dangerous kind of underwater activity by far, since you can easily snag on something jagged or overestimate the size of an opening and become trapped and die.

>The only species of pinniped known to attack humans without provocation.
>Mostly because we look like giant penguins to it.

That guy has it right. In fact read World War Z by Max brooks. He does a whole section about a guy who went to clean out the catacombs. It sounded nightmarish as fuck.

Hell.
Do you know how impairing water is for combat? Might as well drown yourself

Generally speaking - bird bones do, mammal bones don't.

> Party goes on adventure into sunken temple as part of deal to free their allies from Jamaican lizardmen
> They're given a magic wand to "the Great Maw," which lizardmen claim will aid them if they need it
> Group has to wade through water, occasionally diving through steam vents and submerged tunnels
> Fights off water serpents, eels, freshwater merfolk and trolls nesting in the lower levels
> Pressure gets worse
> Fend off giant octopi in order to rescue dark elf; decide to kill high elf knight at her behest
> Eventually breaks into dragon's lair in lowest level of the temple
> Floors are perfectly flat but ankle-deep in fetid water
> There are signs of decay everywhere, with rubber "roads" criss-crossing the place
> Strange symbols appear over perfectly rectangular doors
> The dragon has been lairing in a fish processing plant
> Party lures her into giant funnel with teeth in it
> Activates the Great Maw
> Dragon gets shredded by what is essentially a giant blender

The black dragon escaped, but eventually made her way back at an inopportune time to seek revenge. All in all, one of my least memorable dungeons.

>Flooded areas are some of the most dangerous parts of the Paris Catacombs

And yet this little lady surfed through them with great ease.

I have a feeling the flooded catacombs are extremely safe.

>For example, a pit in the floor will be impossible to see and will leave you well below the waterline. If its deep enough, you might end up on the completely submerged floor below you

This is all the more relevant if party members are wearing heavy armour.

Well a surfboard would probably help with not falling in a hole...

Great tension, nice boobies.

Good thing I didnt plan for tonights session. I would like to thank you. There's a lot of good shit here.

Thank you user, may your beliefs carry you to your heaven.

Most of the dangers are on the floor (Even in the non-flooded parts), so floating on top of the water is safe enough.

Might we conclude then that adventurers planning on exploring half-submerged dungeons should bring surf boards?

That, or water wings.

Surf boards, no.
Paddle boards, yes.

Old world diving suits?

Yes

Make it like the water level in amnesia the dark descent.

Is there anything that Italian fuck DIDN'T invent 300 years before everyone else?

Most of the things you see on /d/?

> implying Italians weren't masters in debauchery
Remember, the Frenchies stole all the good Italian ideas during the Renaissance. That's why Frenchies are so perverted.

True, when I noticed there is apparently a small but thriving market consisting of vintage porn.

I wouldn't be so sure.

perfeeeeect tities

Pikmin 2 Submerged Castle.

Any dungeon based on that monstrosity is a dungeon I won't be entering.

EELS!

Also candiru

Anti-Bard monster

I know but you got to admit it is well made.

“I recently took a team of blue Pikmin on an expedition to explore a submerged cavern. While exploring this watery cavern, I encountered some very strange phenomena. It was such a strange place that I'm still wondering if it was all just a dream. I found this curious treasure in that cavern, so if it was just an illusion, I'm even more confused. I named that confounding place the Submerged Castle."
Captain Olimar

everything swims up your dick and ass !!!!
gnomes and haflings drown

Wet...

difficult
probably even more difficult then a fully submerged dungeon

Hellish.

Unless you had a way to stay in a boat or something of the sort, then everything will be slow going. You won't be able to swim because it's not deep enough, and walking is hard. Halflings and other short races could possibly swim.

Any water-dwelling enemies will basically be much more effective than the party. They'll be able to win through positioning and also be able to sneak up on them. It's not going to be fun fighting anything.

It's kind of a bad idea.

I love the hike in OP's pic Oneonta gorge is 10/10.
