Combine your two most favorite settings into one and see if it makes sense. If you can, come up with an idea for a campaign based on it.
>Medieval Post-Apocalypse. Set in a version of our world where the black death never stopped its relentless march across the land and far more volatile than its real-world counterpart, most of earth's population was decimated as the sickness spread into the middle east and Africa via Spain and into south-east asia via China.
What little remained of the populations across central Europe chose to stay in smaller, tightly-knit enclaves fiercely opposed to outsiders and ever in fear of new outbreaks, rather than repopulate the larger cities that had been the epicenters of the plague. Cities overflowing with the bodies of the diseased and falling apart from years of disrepair, making all but the most remote towns into gigantic mausoleums. Those that do not live within the safety of settlements roam the land as robbers, raiders, cannibals and religious cultists determined to purge what remains of humanity to absolve humanity of sin.
The campaign begins in a tiny, fortified township near the once Polish-German border, where the players are going about their day to day work. When a mysterious monk knocks on the gates and manages to talk his way inside, he tells all that will listen about a rumor originating from the east. The rumor of a cure that can permanently put an end to the plague. Having received a vision from god, the monk aims to travel eastwards and discover this cure, and he needs help from anyone who wants to partake in his holy mission.
>Dark Sun >Planescape So there is an plane of fuck you
Jonathan Scott
>Dark Fantasy Science Fiction could be cool, it could either be Cthulhupunk or cyborg zombies
Connor Watson
TES + Fallout
Jaxon Cooper
>greek myth >postapocalypse
Lots of mucking about with Atlantis and archeotech. Also, the gods are the children of astronauts or creations left behind by them. Characters have psychological states instead of alignments. It is possible to go insane under pressure or in the presence of insanity (looking at you, Medea).
Nolan King
isnt dark sun completely blocked from planar travel?
Luis Peterson
bethesda already did this one, its called fallout 4
Ayden Clark
Millennia ago, the world was inhabited by modular holes whose minds, personality, and power were contained in small mystical medallions. As the centuries past, they became consumed with war, destroying the world and leaving their society in ruins.
Many years pass, humans and other races coming into existance. Over the years, they form a massive city spanning much of the world, largely controlled by 10 various factions. A pair of artificers and scientists uncover some of the medals from that forgotten race of golems, finding a way to forge new ones along with new bodies, mass producing them for consumer use. They're often used as helpers and labor, but also for sport fighting. The typical bet is to give the victor one of the modular limbs of your golem.
Not sure how to quite make a campaign out of that.
Noah Smith
It already exists. Fallout: equestria
Evan Smith
What the fuck is that gun
Isaiah Williams
>Half-Life >S.T.A.L.K.E.R So the Black Mesa incident created The Zone in the desert of New Mexico. Miles of undeground tunnels with monsters and anomalies. Might work.
Adam Reyes
Make a mechosystem where techpriests and stalkers hunt wild robots. Everything from plankton to herbivores and carnivores can be bioengineered or completely mechanical. Or both at the same time.
Charles Fisher
Fantasy and cyberpunk.
Nah, it'd never work.
Zachary Nelson
Not quite a blending of the two settings at that point, but I like the concept.
Caleb Morales
>Gothic Horror Fantasy >science-Fantasy
So, it's Cyborg Vampires and TechWizards fighting against Omnicidal Android Hiveminds being manipulated by some quantum flux god or something...
Noah Wilson
>Unknown Armies >Dune I can't even try to comprehend how this would work, but it would be amazing.
Cooper Gonzalez
>giant robots >space opera More particularly, BattleTech and EVE Online. That'd be an interesting blend.
Cooper Sullivan
Literally nothing in your setting's description is different from what actually happened
Robert Barnes
>Low fantasy >Superheroes
Nathaniel Wilson
>Dark Souls + The Expanse I have no idea how this is going to work, only that it's going to be grim as all hell.
Lincoln Jenkins
The large shells and the hand grip make it look like a way to big and bulky shotgun. Not sure what the shit sticking up is. That a retarded and unusable hand grip or maybe a free floating retarded magazine? Also is that another magazine behind the hand grip? Maybe a collapsed stock.Fucking suppressor on the front?
Alexander Miller
That right there is for hunting possums.
Joseph Ramirez
Warhammer Fantasy and Mad Max like post apocalypse.
Just have to add cars and set it after the end times
Ethan Miller
Half-Life 2 and Overwatch
Replace Omnics with Aliens/Combine. Keep the weird tech and weaponized SCIENCE! Fight as the Resistance.
