I get the feeling she hates dragons being in her setting too

>tfw you recognize this instantly

I'm working on a splat to put dragons in WoD.

Is this a cropped image? Is there more? If there is more i need it for scientific purposes

I honestly haven't been paying much attention to stuff outside of Veeky Forums. Where are all the dragons popping up?

Sauce?

and no, they are kinda like skeletons or wizards, way over done but nobody gets tired of them

Only if it's boring european dragons all the time.

I really enjoy it when "dragon" is a general term and there are a variety of giant snake-like dragons or pliesaur look alike and giant flat-tailed salamanders crawling up canyons

Basically diversity keeps dragons fresh.

I am tired of how the trope of 'seducing the dragon' for fucking ever and how dragon half-breeds are thing, but no mainstream RPG system has the rules laid out for such an action or the risk/rewards systems for going through with it.

Get on that shit with an Unearthed Arcana update wizards.

yup there is

As long as if the Dragon is a legendary creature that shows up only a threadbare number of times, then sure.

As a playable race (*cough* Dragonborn *cough*), not so much.

Dragons are legendary, let them feel that way.

Right behind you

>european dragons
>diversity

I wonder who is behind this post...

yeah thats real interesting OP

post a source now

>diversity
>Code word for anti-dragon

But the idea is to have more kinds of dragons. That functionally necessitates having kind of a lot of dragons overall.

in everything? or "in" everything?

Naw bruh, dragons in everything is good.

Also guys, the drawing's by Extro.

Go throw that turd at something else and see if it sticks.

Dragons are dragons, they already 'diverse' what with being chromatic, metallic, astral, planar, and more. You want to instead have non-dragons become dragons just because you think they should be elevated to the standard of respect that dragons have.

Fuck that noise, god damned socialists like you would split up my hoard and kick it to a fucking wyvern because it is a 'dragon' and he should get dragon benefits.

Talk to me when your lilly white princess is getting snapped up by a fucking turtle who doesn't even have a proper concept of hostage situations for quests and shit.

Dragon Pride world-wide.

We could have the dragons mix with each other to create even more diverse dragon types. Interbreeding of dragons would create so much diversity.

Until, you know, both draconic halves disappear from the face of the planet in favor of that hybrid.

How long until this becomes morphs into a general dragon thread, like 90% of the threads remotely related to dragons on Veeky Forums?

I've been working quite a lot on a new version of a story that originally started in these threads, and I'd love some feedback to see if my changes were for the better—but you fucks haven't made any dragon threads recently and it feels inappropriate to make one myself.

Oy Vey Dragoy

Dragon: The Dungeoning

Yeah, dragons are gay.

>dragons?
>in MY vagina?

How about... dragons with telekinesis?

SAUCE YOU FUCKING WANKER

I prefer dragons with a corporations, thank you.

What about dragons living in a sustainable kingdom of dragons with a population of lizardmen who worship the dragons as gods and act as their cheap labor and conscripted armies?

oh come on please don't be like that, you know how hard it is to find a cropped image. I've tried reversing and hitting up the usual avenues and i've not found shit.

good man

Quite the opposite, I'm the reason dragons are in the setting my group is playing in.

Well I decided to throw my hat into the ring to find it, no luck but I think I found something which I can assume is the same artist since the style seems to me to be very similar.

That's why dragons in my setting are extinct and only subspecies of them still exist.

Depends. If they're one of the 'lel draguns everywhere so important everyone knows one' settings, yeah fuck that.

But if they're like an actual myth and it gets to the point the character shit themselves in fear when one actually happens its fine.

More settings should have both western and eastern dragons.

Eastern dragons are shit though.
Noodly little pussies, even when controlling lightning and shit they don't look threatening because damn near anyone can literally strangle them with their own spine.

As a Dragon myself. No I do not. What I hate is having humans in everything. Whats so good about a race of lanky monkeys when there are other things that can do the same thing better? Burn them all is what I say.

Fingers>Claws faggot

I'm always really torn. On the one hand, dragons are awesome, and there are so many different kinds that I want to include them in a big way. On the other hand, there never feels like there's even enough space for all the different types of dragons in a setting, let alone a campaign, and the more flavors you have the less it feels special.

It's already happened.

>Tfw playing dungeons and dragons for years
>Still haven't run into a fucking dragon
IT'S JUST ALL MATH AND WHORES

So i knew a guy, Dm right? He had a very particular way of saying he was fed up with your shit. You'd see a large shadow pass over the ground and he'd ask you to make a dex save. On a failed save you were crushed by the falling shit of an Elder Wurm. He was of the opinion it was better than "rocks fall you die".

I think it's worse to shoehorn elves into everything.

Is she being fucked from behind by a dragon?

Dragon style sex I guess?

Yeah okay pal.

Don't talk shit about Temeraire, you faget.

Anal rape, like pretty much everything else this guy does.

Yes but if you get at a high enough level, there are dragon-whores!

why wait till you get to high level, I thought that's what dragon born where for?

Yeah see now thats not very intimidating. Grab the fucker by the whiskers and tie it's mouth shut, then give it to a giant to use as a belt.
Fucking weak ass snakes pretending to be dragons.

So they're the dragon equivalent of a wizard? Not very physically imposing, but they will hand you your ass on a supernatural platter because they are basically gods or something.

*teleports behind dragon*
heh...
*ties nots in all its whiskrs*
shoulda gotten a shave... kid...
*unsheaths kantana and kills it in single blow*

ironically enough, katanas are thematically appropriate to killing eastern dragons.

It's more likely than you think

...

I...I think there's a story behind this picture that needs to be told.

It is from civ quest on /qst

mediafire.com/file/18yos8qiyuqinxs/Civ Thing.zip

mediafire.com/file/e6vmvyiekxr38jk/Civ Thing Aftermath.zip

You mean figuratively?

They've been old hat for a long time. The only kind of dragon that's acceptable to me now is the BG2 variety.

so did anybody else hear gilbert gottfried's voice?

Kinda like that, in the east dragons are worshiped as gods and rainmaker, which is important for rice field, the kings and emperors were believed to be the descendants of dragons
In the west dragons kidnap maidens
In the east maidens serve dragons

Bless you user.

Hurrah! Two of my favorite Fetishes.

No, OP has low-level schizophrenia which shows itself as dragon pareidolia. He hasn't taken his medication recently, so he sees dragons literally everywhere.

Sounds spooky.

So basically genestealer cults

Shenron the Eternal Dragon, I summon you! Heed my call and grant my wish! I wish to be an immortal little girl!

I collect the dragon balls again and summon Shenron to turn you back into a super faggot

1, 2, 3, 4, or god form?

No, but that's probably because I think dragons are pretty cool and even settings that include them usually don't give them much time in the limelight.

Hm, perhaps not quite yet.

It is close. I'll hopefully post it soon.

Yes, that's why I take my meds.

Fucking dragon illumanati controlling everything with their gold. If only I could prove they were running FEMA death camps to get revenge for humans stealing their gift of fire. But you won't get me yet dragons, I'll find proof one day.

>genestealer cults

Wew 40kfags and their narrow world view never ceases to entertain me

I get the feeling her "setting" will stretch to accommodate them.

Well Veeky Forums was originally a containment board for 40K fanboys so annoying that even /b/ couldn't stand to have on their board. It's not all the surprising really.

Is this literally you?

kek'd
I really have no idea what your problem is OP, dragons are a staple of fantasy, and they're still better than generic, uninspired elves

Fukken dragons go home

It depends on the setting.

>Well Veeky Forums was originally a containment board for 40K fanboys so annoying that even /b/ couldn't stand to have on their board.
I love this myth. As if /b/ would even take notice of the tiny increase in 40k posts on Wednesdays. And what's the point of a "containment board" if it's still allowed on the original board?

>40kids mad that Veeky Forums exists because of D&D nerds on /co/ asking firstmoot for a new board

I've fapped to this

>As a Dragon myself
Are you an otherkin?
Because I'm dragon otherkin myself

>Current setting
>Three main types of dragons: Wyverns, Drakes, and True Dragons

>Wyverns can look like damn near everything and anything, and cross-breeds rarely look anything like either parent

>Drakes are adapted to their environment and look, generally, like some kind of reptilian native to that area; they come in elemental, environmental, and fundamental varieties
>The elemental drakes are the classical elements and paired quasi-elements; environmental drakes are specific to certain environments, such as jungles, rivers, oceans, deserts, etc; fundamental drakes are things such as time, evolution, magic, etc, with magic having sub-species devoted to types of magic like barrier magic, transformation magic, etc.

>True Dragons are alien monstrosities that have adaptive, weaponized regeneration; cut one's wing off, and it'll grow back a weaponized wing, bladed at the front, or reverse-jointed and useless except as a scythe-like weapon, while the other wing adapts to the lack
>The older ones tend to be terrifying and lop-sided looking, seeming to be more piles of bio-organic weaponry than any kind of identifiable animals
>No one ever sees young ones, and the belief is that they kind of bud off of older ones that have been dismembered, or that break apart from poor distribution of weight

Damn that shit sounds cool for a more horror themed game.

True Dragons are meant to be the kind of thing that even seasoned adventurers don't want to deal with head-on. Fighting one at all is a bad idea, and without a plan is basically a fancier way to tell people you're suicidal.

Basically, I made them to be the kind of thing that, if introduced, players that have a brain want to not deal with, and ones that don't will reveal themselves by running at it to test their might against it.

Drakes tend to avoid people. They're intelligent, basically taking the role of, "normal," dragons, i.e: having kobold servants, keeping hordes, avoiding contact with outsiders, etc, with one caveat: There was a thing in one of the D&D books I liked the idea of, called Zorvintaal. Basically, it's a sort of betting game that dragons take part in, putting down chunks of their hordes on what countries will get ahead, or fall behind, win a war, lose a war, sue for peace, etc, and send out non-draconic allies or followers to influence the outcome, since they can't do it directly, granting them tokens that give them boons to make those easier.

Wyverns are basically animals, and a catch-all term, like in Monster Hunter, only expanded to cover anything that you might find in Monster Hunter that's under the size of most Elder Dragons, including things like Kirin, mammal monsters, bug monsters, etc, but with the constant feature of having draconic traits. Quite literally all over the place, in terms of appearance.

I just want my dragons to be intelligent and ideally shape-shifting.
