How dangerous would Orks be in the DBZ universe? Assuming this is just Saiyan-Frieza saga DBZ

How dangerous would Orks be in the DBZ universe? Assuming this is just Saiyan-Frieza saga DBZ.
How wide spread could they get? Would it still be a bitch to remove them from a planet? What if they started using ki?

>Wonders how powerful someone like Majin Buu or Cell would get if they landed on a planet of Orks who just kept spawning as fast as they were being absorbed.

>How dangerous would Orks be in the DBZ universe? Assuming this is just Saiyan-Frieza saga DBZ.
The fact that you had to nerf the DBZ universe right after proposing your question gives you the answer.

If they started using ki, you're looking at weaker Saiyans. They'll never peak.

Every time I see that image I think of star control 2.

What's an ork's power level?

Depends on the Ork. They're basically saiyans, minus the fact that they news to get their ass kicked in order to get stronger. Orks get stronger every time they win, Saiyans every time they get closer to death.

>Ork wins against a saiyan
>becomes Orkier
>the Saiyan powers up from losing
>the Ork wins because he's stronger, and he becomes Orkier
>the Saiyan powers up again from losing, and rematches the Ork
>this continues on ad infitum

Wouldn't they be more like Saibamen?

Depends on how strong the Ork gets relative to the Saiyans. Orks seem Linear, while Saiyans seems Exponential. Eventually a Saiyan will overcome an Ork.

Saibamen in a way.
The differences are that Orks are bigger
(not much of a advantage but there)
The WAAAGH would mean they'd get access to ki if enough believe they can
And they reproduce so rapidly it's a bitch to get them off a planet so Orks will drive the planet's prices down.

I imagine Buu would fucking love Orks. Literally infinite candy for him so he may become a non-threat because he's spending all his time on Ork worlds

But yeah, they could potentially get as strong as Goku is now, eventually. But it'd be like filling a ocean one drop at a time.

Aren't Namekians basically just Orkz minus the Orkyness? Like don't Orkz and Namelians have the whole "Super-powered Fungus people" thing in common?

Namekians are more peaceful Orks basically.

I think it's a matter of interest rather than power levels user.
A galactic evil home empire having to deal with infinitely respawning mushroom people is more interesting a discussion that what's going on in Android and Buu sagas.

>Namekians are more peaceful Orks basically.
(King) Piccolo was here, your argument is getting killed by the Demon King.

Even generally nice races have at least one asshole.

Orks would love it. They's WAAAGH along with the DBZ faggots grunting and then love the fight afterwords.

>Orks get stronger every time they win
They will never win. In a setting where blowing up planets is a casual ability of some characters they simply cannot win. The likely cannot even harm any character who actually matters.

>They will never win. In a setting where blowing up planets is a casual ability of some characters they simply cannot win
Until they WAAAGH so hard that they start doing it.
Don't underestimate reality warping mushrooms user.

Orks are holocausted on Frieza's orders. Population dies out because there's no spores to spawn from because, well, ki can destroy at the molecular level

>Saiyan-Frieza saga
Nappa could blow up cities by lifting fingers, Piccolo & Master Roshi blew up moons. They'd be a minor nuisance unless it's something like The Beast

Goku would convert one of the orks to being an ally.

>In a setting where blowing up planets is a casual ability of some characters they simply cannot win
Until Buu saga frieza is the only person who can do that outside of filler and it's because his technique was explicitly intended to fuck Namek up on his last breaths, the OP said to assume Saiyan-Frieza

However, you have Master Roshi blowing up the moon with a kame-hame-ha all the way back to DB like said

In DBZ you only need a power level of a bit over a hundred to move so fast you are invisible to the naked human eye, a bit more than that to blow up moon-sized objects with sheer power, a bit more than that to be completely immune to firearms of any sort, and by that point you should also be able to easily fly at supersonic speeds. Power level becomes meaningless after a while as it just becomes increasing amounts of incalculable strength, but by Saiyans even the weakest Z Fighters who still actually fight have powerlevels of over a thousand, which is ALSO shown to be pretty piss weak almost anywhere else in the universe with the average Frieza mook in Namek having a powerlevel of several thousands and the strongest several tens of thousands until you get to the Ginyu force where everyone has over 40,000 and the captain has 120,000

Now you have super where the show apparently became a parody of itself and characters can now casually destroy universes and use attacks which "move faster than time", but I haven't really bothered with anything beyond the new movies

Without ki?

They die

Power levels are bullshit

With it they still probably die but it really depends on their starting power level

Also keep in mind Piccolo was just all of Kami's negative traits that he purged when he became the Earth Guardian.

Considering WAAAGH starting power levels depend on how many Orks there are. And how much WAAAGH it takes to get what levels and how painting your ki red changes that and to what extent.

Yes but that would mean if a planet gets to many Orks, you basically have too exterminatus it all together to ensure that they're gone.
If one little spore remains, even in the stratosphere they come back.

An Ork can be killed by a regular autopistol bullet, or a very lucky regular human with a bayonet.

Goku only felt minor pain upon being shot several times by a handgun and sub machine gun in the first volume, Goku at the time being 12 years old.. He suffered no injury what so ever and forgave Bulma on the spot on both occasions. He also brought down beasts the size of Knights by simply punching them in the face once, so we can establish 12 year old Goku as being several times stronger than even a Warboss.

Roshi was able to blow up the moon with very little effort at about 15 times the strength of 12 year old Goku. Already at this point, the cast was moving so fast they had entire fights in seconds and could not be seen by regular humans (Faster than Eldar). In the fight against Piccolo Jr (roughly 40 times 12 year old Goku), Goku (roughly 41 times 12 year old Goku) tanked several energy attacks at least three and most likely five or six times as powerful (as they had learned to power up beyond their regular limit for attacks by that point) as Roshis moon-destroying beam, and survived.

Friezas average mook, as in the bog standard fodder soldier of the force the Orks would fight in almost every scenario, is roughly 100 times as powerful as 12 year old Goku. Friezas lieutenants are about 2200 times as strong as 12 year old Goku. The leader of Friezas elite force is roughly 12,000 times as strong as 12 year old Goku, while Frieza himself at full power being roughly 12,000,000 times as strong as 12 year old Goku. Until the end of the Frieza saga, he is the strongest known, mortal being in the universe. And that's not even scratching the surface of beings such as Beerus and Whis should they get involved.

DB is a batshit goddamn insane universe in terms of raw power, even characters so weak they're considered jokes such as Yamcha are planet busters. Orks wouldn't stand a chance in hell even invading pre-Z earth, because Dragon Ball is fucking silly.

Don't forget Piccolo being continously shot with a machine gun at point blank range while balancing on top of a small aircraft to no effect whatsoever, and he was only about half as strong as Goku at the start of DBZ

>Orks will drive the planet's prices down

Of infested planets, yes

But that only means that clean planets are now in more demand than ever !!

But to be honest, your average sayan team could wipe out a civilization in a matter of days/weeks.
That's 2 to 10 sayans fighting over a whole planet and just killing everyone with impunity.

Orks would become a intergalactic pest but nothing that Frieza's elite mooks couldn't solve.
I could even see a booming business for Frieza's Army, doing protection racket :
They'll take care of your current ork infestation problem and come back every year for additionnal desinfestation... but you have to pay an insurance.
And if you fail to pay, they don't even come to kill you : they just let the ork problem fester until you do pay.

That too, and there's countless similar feats. Goku tanking rocket launcher shots without even being slowed down at the age of 13 and such.

I doubt the average planet would care much about an Ork infestation in the first place, Earth is exceptionally weak, it's the single weakest planet introduced in Dragon Ball so far discounting the main cast members, and even earth has several martial artists, such as Bora and Tao Pai Pai, who make Ghazghull look like a bad joke.

It's a silly overpowered universe.

>Goku finds a planet filled with Orkz being subjugated by Frieza's men
>he dispatches the soldiers, and tells the Orkz that they're safe
>the Orkz all shoot at him for ending the fight too soon, and he just leaves confused
>the Orkz make a note to get in a propa' scrap with him later

Basically everyone in DBZ can train and get stronger, user. Orks would not be an exception to this rule.

They would just be another race of mook.

This thread actually reminds me of something I've been curious about: if you resurrected Freiza after his death, full power, and dumped him in the 40K universe? Could he survive there?

In fact, could he grow even stronger there? He's already a one-man exterminatus with his planet killing attacks, but according to the Resurrection F storyline, he's got so much potential that a mere 4 months of training let him actually stand up toe-to-toe with "Super Saiyan Blue" form Goku for a little while. Years of constant training on Goku's part, and Freiza managed to leap a huge distance towards catching up in a third of a year's worth of training.

>actually stand up toe-to-toe
Please
Goku was batting him around like a cat playing around with a mouse before it's eaten

Hey, he still didn't die at the first punch. That says something for how much he improved, given how absurdly overleveled Super Saiyan Blue is to the original Super Saiyan that beat Freiza.

>I doubt the average planet would care much about an Ork infestation in the first place
That's like saying "I doubt the average household would care about a cockroach infestation in the first place".
Especially if they WAAAGH hard enough their bullets will start killing, power levels or no. Heck I doubt anyone would figure that out fast enough when they seem so weak.

Actually, Nah. golden Frieza was handling Goku pretty easily, until power drain set in.

So, do folks think Freiza would actually have a chance to survive in the 40Kverse? Like, if he can blow up the planet he's standing on and survive, what would that do to the Tyranid hive-fleet invading it at the time?

Also, would any Puritan Inquisitor, after seeing he can literally blow up a planet with a snap of his fingers, be stupid/blinded by zeal enough to try and deliberately piss Freiza off?

If Frieza hadn't been a cocky overconfident little shit and actually bothered to train himself to sustain his Golden form, Goku would have likely died. Power drain is literally the only thing that saved him from that fight. If you put Frieza in 40k and told him about all the major threats, then told him to conquer the universe, he would probably exterminate the biggest threats first, namely Tyranids, Necrons, the Chaos Gods, and then everybody else.

He'd probably become a Rogue Trader

Now I can't help but imagine an Ork Weirdboy with his arms in the sky and screaming WAAAGH! while a green spirit bomb grows above him.

That won't be much of a problem once they figure it out. They've got scouters, so they'd be able to sense a sudden increase in the power levels of a general area. Orks are weak compared to most of Freeza's men, but they're strong enough to stand out to a scouter.

A Waaagh bomb sounds like something they'd be able to do in their starting universe, no ki needed.

Spend a turn or two charging up and drop a fucking pie plate onto the opponents side of the board. No idea how I'd stat it.

this

OPM was made because of this type of bullshit

>just want to talk about dbz with my /v/ros
>mods keep deleting all dbz threads

fuck you guys /a/ is shit

>And how much WAAAGH it takes to get what levels and how painting your ki red changes that and to what extent.
Isn't Kaiyoken (sp?) red?

Yes Kaiyoken is very red.

Does extra damage to unorky enemies (Chaos, Eldar, Tau.) Does less damage to orky enemies.

Didn't Cell use a green Spirit Bomb in one of the DBZ games?

What about spores? If you can't destroy those you can bomb all the Orks you want and not really get anywhere.

Everyone has at least one asshole

If you have more than one asshole, seek surgical correction for your issue.

4 average saiyans can destroy a planet's defenses in a couple of days.
Can 4 average Orks do the same?

Bump

They aren't dangerous until some idiot martial arts master teaches them how to martial arts.
Which they will, because it's dragonball.
Then you have the most powerful soccer riot ever created.

There's something people are forgetting and it is that tech in the DBZ universe is stupidly advanced courtesy of a few ridiculous supergeniuses like Dr Gero or Bulma

Gero in a couple of years IN A CAVE, WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS went from Android 8 to Cell. 8 was a frankenstein-esque crude android weaker than mid-DB goku which would mean under 200, Cell even on his imperfect form has a power level in the millions and can make himself stronger, learn new techniques, assimilate beneficial parts of the victim's genetic code and body, etc. by absorbing people

Bulma and her dad repaired an alien spaceship. Bulma herself repaired Raditz' scouter (a super-advanced piece of alien tech which no one in Frieza's empire can recreate as it was made a race which the saiyans genocided, and yes you could consider them canon since Toriyama wrote them) as a pet project and translated the interface it from whatever alien language it was on. She also built a device which could detect the dragon balls (which as far as she knew may as well have been only a myth) from anywhere in the world because she wanted a boyfriend while on her teens.

Also worth mentioning that Tuffle tech was so advanced they could fight the saiyans to a stalemate. It stayed that way until there was a full moon (which only happened every couple centuries on their planet) and they all went Ozaru

Seriously. Forget Frieza, give Bulma control of the Imperium's R&D department and let her loose. Bet the Emperor gets resurrected within a year.
