What do you picture a mage that specializes in teleportation looking like?

What do you picture a mage that specializes in teleportation looking like?

He would have little doors and dreamcatchers hanging from his belt, as well as chalk for drawing his shit.

Covered in good luck charms and carrying dozens of scroll tubes filled with scrolls covered in mathematical calculations, star charts, and reports about things like weather, population density, and geological phenomenon.

...

He would have a large coat made into a robe with dozens of little pockets. In these pockets he'd keep small 'samples' of places he'd regularly teleport to, nothing fancy: pebbles, wrappers, cards, etc.. Just items he mentally associates with those places. Also cough drops- just something to suck on to depressurize his ears after teleporting.

His entire body would also covered in a bright, vivid, tattoos, that would trace along his limbs, fingers, etc.. So that if he ever made a mistake through teleportation he'd be able to re-transmogrificate himself back together via just connecting his tattoos.

He would also never wears shoes- if only so he'd have the constant, physical, satisfaction and reaffirmation of barefeet on solid ground.

You would never see him, because he always teleport behind you.

A satchel full of map tubes, and a heavy pack full of clothes for different climates. A lot of pockets for trinkets he picks up, and of course his lucky amulet around his neck, kisses it before every port, so he doesn't end up at the bottom of a lake. Again.
As for physical appearance, frazzled. Like someone who has been on the road too long. In conversation he probably changes topic often and suddenly. Apt to walk away if bored.

Someone very distant.

>What do you picture a mage that specializes in teleportation looking like?

If he's any good, like an illusionist that specializes in invisibility.

If he's very good and a meta-tier tactician, like a rogue that specializes in camouflage.

A guy in jeans, polo-shirt and white nikes.

Sure, she's an Esper and not a Mage, but she's what leaps to mind when I hear the word "teleporter".

a fat fuck, teleporting anywhere he needs to be

Probably covered in some kind of glowy arcane shit whether it be gems, tatoos, or sigils seeing as how teleportation is usually a high level complicated arcane procedure.

...

Of course he should have a katana.

These glowing bits must of course be blue and orange.

> What do you picture a mage that specializes in teleportation looking like?
Something along the lines of this.

...

is that Yugo? wat

*teleports behind you*

It's a member of the eliatropes from the game.

I don't know the story behind it, but I assume that since the only two eliatropes in recent memory were Yugo and Qilby, they generally look like a mix of those two.

looks pretty cool, hoping to see yugo grow up some fucking time already they cant keep him as a fucking baby forever while the others grow up around him, thats too cruel

Spatial-manipulation powers are the best.

Adamai grew up in the s3 teaser, so I think there's hope.

What is this from?

Season 3 when?

Je ne sais pas.

...

Missing limbs, digits, and random bits of skin and constantly twitching and seizing due to almost imperceptible translation errors accrued to their nervous system because of countless ever so slightly botched jumps.

Somehow I always though Cheshire cat themed.

For my modern magic campaign? About like this, OP.

Business man, he never takes anything personal.

He would look sort of like a cross between Old King Doran from demons souls, Monsoon from MG: Revengance and Maelstrom Wanderer. Gold gilded antique brass armor cut into form fitting slabs for each of his appendages, Roman style studded skirt, and a faceless antique brass mask. His limbs themselves would be more incorporeal, vague electric suggestions of their humanoid counterparts, and beneath clear glass shapes, you could see various chaotic energies throbbing about. He would be able to teleport his limbs independantly within a certain radius while still retaining autonomy over their function. This includes severing his own limbs at certain break points to avoid conventional weaponry by teleporting a very small distance apart, to allow swords and whatnot to pass through unscathed. In order to teleport his entire body a great distance, he claps and tears a "hole" with his crazy electric powers and the gravity from the event horizon acts as a vacuum.

Now unfortunately, he had to sacrifice his humanity to get the powers that he currently has and is entirely silent. He still moves somewhat the way a human would, but appears more like a puppet than a person. His only major weakness is his general ignorance of modernity, coupled with an increasingly disjointed sense of space and time. You don't kill him with bullets, you trick him into destabilizing himself and rupturing containment on his mystical warp energies. That being said, he can't die in a conventional sense, his energy would just disappear and take an arbitrary long time to be reintegrated into a corporeal form.

World weary bus conductor.

Of course, he thought he'd hit the big time when he'd managed to refine the incantations to an accuracy of less than a foot of deviation, so naturally he went to the biggest transport conglomerate with his work. It was too late when he realised he'd sold his life's work for less than he'd thought, and was soon forced to sign up with the company as a teleportation operator, earning minimum wage.

*unsheathes gas chamber*
Nothin personnel... Schlomo

Probably something like this guy from Unsounded.

Only one to figure out how to teleport, but can't teleport anything buy himself, including clothes, so most of the time he glamours up an outfit for other to see, despite actually being naked.

They would wear a pressurized suit with a sealed helmet, carry a chronometer on their wrist and have several almanacs and pocket atlases bungie-corded to their belt.

Favoured familiars are creatures with an innate homing sense, like Christmas Crabs, Eels, Pigeons and Albatross.

Mechamagical optics and rangefinders are often worked into the helmet array to help the mage target jumps without accidentally ending up teleporting halfway through a chain link fence.

Warning - casual violation of time/space principals may lead to megalomania

Surgeon general's Warning: Malfunctioning or improperly used teleportation spells may lead to spliced organisms, temporary or permanent banishment to hostile extra-dimensional spaces, and tinnitus, please do not allow minors to use teleportation magic unsupervised, please do not operate teleportation magic whilst under the influence of mind-altering potions or enchantments.

The Pathfinder's symbol is the compass without the needle because they possess the training and augmentation to use Subjective Engines that create a void like space to allow travel between two points and inside of this space there is no direction except where you are trying to go added by massive Space stations called Lanterns.

Typically they dress in whatever uniform of the crews they are hired onto with some even owning the ships themselves but as Pathfinders are often a society onto themselves they have numerous tattoes of navigation relevent to their homeworlds and cultures.

That's stock art for an eliatrope character in the character creation screen

That issue is one of the greatest things I've read

It's one of the greatest comic issues ever.
