Damn nigga, u move fast. I respect that, but ur still slaanesh food.

Splendid work, Kabalites! Reward yourselves at one of the Kabals pain farms! My treat!

If were talking about the Twitch stream again can we talk about how bad the lists were for TS and SW?

If all they are gonna show is terrible lists and poor play (ignoring mission rules and getting basic assault rules wrong) how long can they really expect this to last? Especially considering its going to go to paid subscribers only eventually.

My first list, how is it, anything I should change?

Its emperors children btw, if that wasn't apparent.

They were both narrative games. I wasn't paying too much attention to the TS vs SW game but all throughout the GST vs Ultramarines game they kept going on about "these are the rules, but it's cool if you ignore them to Forge that Narrative!". Hence assaulting out of Rhinos and shit like that.

My first list that ever got to 2500 pts. emperor's blade detachment.

Aside from the Ultramarines are there any other chapters that rules their own fiefdom/subsector/what have you? Is this a thing or just special snowflake status

And I guess the Tyrant's Legion in Badab.

>but it's cool if you ignore them to Forge that Narrative!". Hence assaulting out of Rhinos and shit like that.
But the people who are going to pay to watch this stuff aren't the kind of people who are into 'forging the narrative'? Seriously their market for this is extremely niche so aiming for the plebs and casual IMO is just wrong.

Rank the traitor legions in terms of competitive viability.

I think traditional wisdom say never put blastmaster and doom siren in the same unit, one if for getting up close, the other is for hanging back, buying both means one will always be useless.

This is smart.

What's the story/origin of this picture?

What were you expecting from GW? For years they have insisted their game is as beer and pretzels as you can get and the stream is proof of that.

As narrative games go, the first one was alright. Competitively they were both shit. Power sword Captain assaulting a Patriarch? Alright famalam, see you next game. Magnus swooping across the board and not even using his powers to give SW the big D? No wonder he got tabled.

Death Guard/Emperors Children
World Eaters
Black Legion / Night Lords / Alpha Legion / Iron Warriors
Word Bearers / Thousand Sons

Thousand Sons may as well read Codex: Magnus for all the shit it can do.

Already been done
IIRC it was Death guard, Emperors children and World Eater up top
Iron warriors, Black Legion and Alpha Legion in the middle
Night lords struggling to stay afloat standing on the heads of the rest who drowned in their own filth.

Death Guard>Emperor's Children>World Eaters>Alpha Legion>>Black Legion=Word Bearers>Night Lords=Iron Warriors>Tsons

>No wonder he got tabled.
And how will this stay interesting apart from memes? Seriously who's going to watch and pay for hours of shit list and poor quality play? This was my original point mate. I just dont see how this is sustainable or why they think this is what they should be aiming for.

I still have no idea what I'm doing.

What makes emperor's children so good, and night Lords so bad?

Kakophoni.
For all the buffs, they are still just Raptors.

I honestly feel they all have a chance. Except 1k Sons.

On another note, today's silly impractical combo is a Lord with Curze's Orb manning a Plasma Obliterator.

Can someone link me to the Burning of Prospero rules? I saw them posted a while ago but my link is dead.

EC get fearless and a +6 stacking FNP, for a total of 4+ with their icon AND get to do a death attach if slain in CC.

Night lords arent' bad, but their thing is fear with a ld penalty on top, which is worthless against half the codexes and charging real gud which doesn't matter much as they gain no bonus to their melee capability (besides fear)

Free fearless. Free Shred/Splitfire Sonic Weapons are very powerful. Easy 4+ FNP opens up some nice deathstar opportunities.

Half of the NL special rules (fear stuff) do nothing against most opponents. The armies it does work against they general slaughter anyway. Stealth and forced super night fighting are good though. And they have some nice relics.

People already told you use the World Eater rules they are better for the unoptimized list you want to run.

The only good thing about demonkin is the ability to take flesh hounds for your lord + cabal (if you want to play in an unfluffy way)

I don't know much about KdK, or CSM, but the list seems good enough. Two meltaguns in each squad assures some kills, and the CCWs guarantee extra attacks, so that's approx 20-22 attacks, right? I dunno what all the other Khorne stuff does, but boy, do Maulerfiends looks awesome.

TS with Magnus has some bullshit it can pull off but there are no TS in the lists. Its one of the worst supplements GW has produced. Thats why you dont get two SW fanboys to write the TS fluff and crunch.

I'm agreeing with you my man. I'm just saying GW isn't so self-aware as to see the error of their ways because what we saw in the stream is how the company honestly believe the game should be played.

The saddest part is that some of the staff actually play in competitive or at least competitively-minded games ("my first thought was 15 Culexus Assassins"...) but probably were given a game plan to stick to.

Blood of kittens is doing a really good job of ranking them.

At the moment its iron warriors as dead last, with nightlords being second worst and then EC. His reasoning is pretty just and based on the tournament scene.

So lemme get this straight. Maulerfiends have 2 attacks base, one for each powerfist but they get +1 extra because you have 2 specialist weapons and +1 if you charge.

Magma Cutter rules state if you hit with 1 attack you get an extra melta hit. If you hit with ALL, then you get 2 instead. This means that while it's nice to get at least an extra meltahit, WS3 means you'll rarely see the extra second hit due to having to hit with 3-4 attacks.

Axe Pask's buddies. Add a cheap but reasonably-effective all-rounder take like an Exterminator to squad up with him instead.

Use the points you save to put the Vets in Chimeras. Speaking of Vets, don't mix their special weapons. You could have one squad of plasma guns (hopefully with Grenadiers) and one of meltas. Flamers are only okay and grenade launchers are awful.

Explain Imperial Agents clusterfuck.

Did GW squated Grey Knight and Deathwatch codex

Laziness

No

>use World Eaters rules for the unoptimized list you want to run
I don't see anything wrong with his list, and he's just asking for critique, no harm in that?

The problem with Magna cutters is that they strike at I1, and only work against models that were previously hit.

So only use them if you really want to cut open a metal box or high wound model with EW.

Really, Maulerfiends need more attacks.

physical printing of content previously only digital/campaign book (inquisition, assassins, legion of the damned, sisters of battle) with other potential formations casually added in

GK/DW still have their full codexes.

People are upset it didn't cure their ass cancer and was just printing previously existing stuff.

I believe its from the slaanesh splat of the Black Crusade rpg.

I want GW to update IG but at the same time they could make it worse, going by the shit they've put out lately.

Anyone know of any good battlemaps for about a 2,000 point game? I'm getting one for my friends for Christmas.

So whatever is inside the IA are just addition to previews stuff? As in bloat for the bloat god?

Pretty much.

is there a novel about the death korps of krieg

mmnh, kindof

From what I can tell it's mostly for people who want physical books rather than tablet files. I've bought it just to have the assassin rules without buying Mont'Ka, for example.

SoB digital codex is still valid too.

This list is illegal, you can take a basic commissar for every command squad you have, you don't have any.

>dead men walking

Great book.

>novel about the death korps of krieg

So if I want to recreate the old Witch Hunter Codex I would need:

Tempestus Scion
Astra Militarum
Adepta Sororitas
Inquisition
Imperial Agent

>posting the same ugly image and the same stupid post thread after thread

feck off

>build my army around a Dominus maniple with Vanguard
>play a Tau player I've never met before at 1000 points
>after a pretty close match win
>he starts to pitch a fit yelling that I broke the rules for bringing Vanguard instead of Rangers in the Dominus maniple
>tell him GW FAQd it
>he starts demanding I bring in the paper slip from the box and that it will prove I'm cheating because it will say Ranger

I'm not really sure what to do in the face of this incredible autism

Gonna say I lost the paper however

They actually FAQd the Magma-Cutters to be able to be used as additional attacks, and not just attacks against the same model.

The awkward thing is if you kill everything in B2B with you in the I3 step, leaving nothing to attack at I1 as you don't get an extra pile-in.

What is his reasoning for EC?

> the knight-lady
nigga knows whats up

wrong list

>The Emperor's Children
The Emperor’s Children are in some ways the opposite of the Night Lords, instead of being derided at first glance the Emperor’s Children are being praised as a top three Traitor Legion. Taking a deeper look will reveal the Emperor’s Children are not as powerful as they seem. They are not bad, far from it, they just suffer from basic design issues and a hype train based on players who have never used the Emperor’s Children before the new Traitor Legions book. Even ranking the Emperor’s Children at #7, doesn’t mean they don’t have a power potential, it just means the rest of the Traitor Legions are just that damn good.

Don't use Combined arms use Kokophni. That will give your sonics Shred! You will probably want to look at Traitor Legions for more details, but clearly worth your time

Wait, they did? Can you post it?

That's awesome.

>The awkward thing is if you kill everything in B2B with you in the I3 step, leaving nothing to attack at I1 as you don't get an extra pile-in.
Can you explain this part for me?

>Astra Militarum
Witch hunters never had rules for imperial guard allies in-book. You had to use the IG codex.

To recreate the options in the old witch hunter codex you'd need:
>Imperial Agents (sisters, inquisitors, priests, all the rabble)
>Astra Militarum (grenadier veterans with lasguns or shotguns)

The Tempestus book, Inquisition book and Sororitas book aren't necessary unless you're desperately attached to certain orders or pieces of wargear.

Or they could bump it up to eldar level and everyone would hate your guts, just like in 5th edition leafblower.

He's asked this several times.

You've posted this several times but have nothing to say about your game plan, which is why you aren't getting any feedback.

>2500
Do people even play at this points level? Pic related, it's my list.

How's my 1000pt Haemonculus coven? Total noob at 40k btw.

In 30k, 2500 is pretty standard.

Yea but this is 40k

I'd love to play at 2000-2500 points, so I could take all the fun units that add a lot of flavor and variety, but the problem is what the other guy would bring. It just opens the door to spam powerful units. So you bring your unoptimized fun list and someone brings all the hard hitters and you get to have a fun game of watching half your army die turn 1.

I have posted my game plan before even then no one responded.
but here it is: EB company and tank commander go forward and lays down fire while manticore, MoO, vindicare, and some gaurdsmen castle up and lay down pie plates.

Enginseer teams up with the EB company and tank commander

Primaris psyker joins the bullgryn squad and foot slogs.

Hope I get some (you)s now.

Nvm. I remembered it being in the draft FAQ. Looks like it was removed in the final version.

The fact he's not making 1k Sons dead last shows just how full of shit tastytaste is.

Have you bought the models already?

if not go grotesques, wracks are shit

Dang. Looks like it's a choice between -2A for models in base to base, or +Melta for anything that survives.

So in order to make a make shift warband of Operators Operating. While being deploy by parachute my best bet would be the acolyte formation?

Oh bother, I had a feeling at the back of my head while typing that out. Guess it was deja vu.

Anyone have experience with Artillery Carriages? Does it work well with mechanized infantry or is it blobs only? Curious about taking a battery since they look cool and will fit right in when I get more infantry in the future.

>Combined Arms - 1025 pts
Company Command +2 Meltaguns, Vox-caster & Chimera
Veterans +2 Meltaguns, Vox-caster & Chimera
Veterans +2 Plasma Guns, Grenadiers, Vox-caster & Chimera
Vendetta
Executioner
3 Heavy Artillery Carriages

>Emperor's Wrath - 475 pts
Company Command +Volkov's Cane & Chimera
Enginseer
Wyvern
Wyvern
Manticore

>while being deploy by parachute
stormtroopers in codex witchunters couldn't deepstrike

So lads, what is your personally headcanon?

Mine is the following:

>The Nids are actually a race created by the Old Ones who didn't escape to the WHFB dimension. They fled the galaxy and created the Nids to undo their mistakes. They know the War in Heaven caused Chaos to become powerful and the Gods to 'form'. The plan is, the Nids, which are anti-Warp, will kill all sentient life, meaning the Warp dies without a fuel of emotions. The bonus is, with the entire galaxy cleared of biomas by Nids, means that the Necrons, though being non-biological, will have nothing to 'return' to. No biological shit to use as a basis as returning to their body and no planets to live off and rule over. That's if they survive.

>Orks were originally the cleaner race the Old Ones planned on fixing their mistakes with, but was rushed due to the War in Heaven and ended up only sort of solving the problem of Warp shit and were much much much more prone to infighting than the Nids.

I thought you had to take 2 squadrons of artillery for Emperor's Wrath? So it'd have to be at least 4 Wyverns total.

Not enough manticores

Haven't bought them yet. I heard the grotesquerie was good so I'll probably go with that. Thanks for the info.

At this point I'm just trolling.

While looking for the most stupid shit I can field and also be somewhat effective.

Part of me want to drop Deamonhost via Valks

Witch Hunters where from a better time. For more civil players.

Also rhino rush.

honestly the valks themselves would be doing the most work no matter what you stick inside them

Farsight is not immortal but a Dread Pirate Roberts.

Abaddon is actually super loyalist and has been playing the long con for the past 10,000 years.

>the 13th black crusade didn't get retconned
You can't take away my past, GW. I was there. It happened.

Is it headcanon or just bait.

Witch Hunters bring me back. I always allied them into my Guard army back then. Everyone was baffled, how can you field those together? Lovely Witch Hunters. Monstrous Creature Karamazov too.

It's whatever you want it to be.

>41 dollary-doos for ONE Grotesque.

So, Tzeentch, a being that knows all about every Chaos Lord, is in on the joke too?

Abaddon is going to go "JUST A PRANK, BRO!" as he's killed by Custodians in the Golden Throne room?

Convert them from crypt horrors.

>living in the worlds anus
>expecting things to be cheaper after they've passed the digestive system of the relevant countries

WEW

I just want one. I already have more than enough transports for a life time.

Whatever you want it to be.

...

It does require 2, since the Wyvern is the cheapest I'm thinking of taking each as its own battery to count as 2 units. I could also make one a Hydra and cut a vox-caster to cover the cost and help out shooting at flyers/skimmers.

If only there was an errata to the codex to let me take 1-3 Manticores, or if I could use the IA2 Manticores in exchange.

Why would I go there? Are you disputing geography and the fact AUS/NZ are expensive to ship to and import tax and other bollocks?

>invoking the /pol/ boogy-man
Oh shit, we got a live one!
