My magical realm

>MFW my magical realm is centered around undoing male disposability
It's unironically an utopia.

Even though its only achieved by no one having any degree of personal ambition or (arguably) free will, the Fae Realm. Its based on Plato's Republic, except with a fantasy turn to it (cause you know; elves and gnomes and fae).

The Men of Gold are the Fae, who act as the philosopher kings of the Fae Realm (hence the name). They are very long lived and use scrying magic to see potential futures and guide the realm accordingly.

The Men of Silver are represented by the Elves, who serve as the soldiers of the Fae; though they are strong, tall, and fast they have almost no mental flexibility. All their tactics and training were initially put in place by the Fae; while they can improve them on their own, they only do so when specifically instructed by the Fae. Even then, they simply experiment around and present their findings to their lord and wait to be told what to change.

The Men of Iron are represented by the Gnomes, who serve as the workers and (for the more intelligent ones) craftsmen. They were made small and weak to be physically dependent on the Elves, who are mentally dependent on the Fae. Gnome craftsmanship is largely intuitive; they are simply provided the capability by their masters.

Its a utpoia in the sense that they're all content with their lives and don't really care one way or the other. That is to say, before they got their asses kicked by the not!Romans and forced out of not!Persia; there's been some questioning by the lower orders since then and I'm not sure whether to have the system collapse as impossible to continue or turn into the USSR as the Fae attempt to keep it in control.

That's a pretty subtle way to say you're into male pregnancy.

There's a fabled place far and away across the wasteland that's supposed to be a paradise, but in practice, probably the nicest place is the small city one of the other players is ruler of. That's how it is pretty much, some scattered larger settlements, usually around something pre-war of value, to which living is better than just out in the wasteland. In this case, the other player's one happens to be the best that we know of. At least for the most part, the player makes it rough at times.

Same as in real life.

Dying peacefully
>Not dying of diseases such as the Red Plague, Black Death, White Plague etc.
>Not starving to death when harvests fails, the emergency stores run out, and food prices are going through the roof
>Not dying in a fire, such as when foreign raiding parties sneak past the border (or when the local knights get bored of peacetime) and decide to pillage your village
>Not dying horribly when wizards from passing adventuring parties make 'unintentional' errors with their spells
>Not being sacrificed by cultists to the alleged dark gods
>Not getting eaten by roaming monsters in the wilderness
>Not necking yourself, despite having a strong urge to
>Not getting murdered by an equally-desperate guy

That's kinda hot

>Undoing male disposability
Pretty shit utopia.

The Island-sanctuary of the goddess of love, pleasure and beauty.

The good part is that it has good food, water, springs of honey and wine, everybody is good-looking and willing. After some months, that includes you.

The bad part is that submiting to the island on the long term turns you into one of the good-looking people forever. They are celestial servants of the goddess, and don't have free will anymore, Mind you, many of them knew that from the beginning.

>undoing male disposability

What, like making women go to war and stuff?

Elysium.

Has a tendency to absorb people who hang around on it too long though.

Is being essentially devoured from the soul out by a plane of perpetual unceasing bliss and contentment bad?

>What, like making women go to war and stuff?
Easiest way you could do that is have men develop artificial wombs

A world where your family member dying doesn't mean you have to lose them

There's a hippie commune in my post-apocalyptic cyberpunk dystopia bullshit that's pretty nice desu.

their spirit leader dopes them with aphrodesiacs and antidepressants so they fuck like bunnies, then sells the children to the cannibal biker gang for protection

>MPreg

On the island of Niupenpu a few surviving tribes of Kimbabweans have cast aside their differences and banded together in worship of Bonde Papai, a living god.
They honour Bonde Papai through ritualised feasting and celebration, and keep their existence hidden from the witch hunting Red Tide navy. In return, Bonde Papai keeps them sheltered from the ash-laden winds and eldritch sea ghosts and provides a bountiful harvest year-round, mostly in the form of crabs.

When the rest of the world is Mad Max on the waves ft. ancient spirits, killing anyone you could ever possibly suspect of selling you out is a pretty good price to pay for eating meat and fucking all the time.

Not MPREG, robopreg

Putting cyberwombs into men doesn't turn men into robots, wtf are you talking about

The moon city Alfnek, home of the True Elves.Only True Elves are allowed and they get kicked out if they lose their immortality, which begins to happen if they feel any sort of consideration for a creature other than their own kind. Of course the elves themselves are a blight on the rest of the world.

I mean fertilizing an egg created in a lab and matured in a machine

this

In a span of seven months, our party of two level 3 Godbound transformed an expy of the Roman Empire into a nearly-post-scarcity sci-fi utopia full of magitech metropolises. Magical potential is extremely high in the populace, everyone is well-educated and savvy in the information age, everyone is immune to disease and poison, and and terrifyingly strong guardian automatons and hardened magitech gear supplement the army .

We gamed the Influence, Dominion, cult Problem, and downtime rules such that we had a grand total of 126 Dominion and 8 Influence to work with. It helped that we had been saving up five celestial shards for exactly this, and that our GM was on the lenient side.

that isn't real, is it?

Supers Setting: Haven't really made any utopia yet but it is on the list of places to flesh out. The closest place would be anywhere you have enough money to retire comfortably I guess?

Space Setting: Definitely a world colonized by the intelligent man-sized spiders. Said spiders are pretty cool guys who will provide you with moderate quality food, shelter, education, entertainment, healthcare and a small stipend for personal discretionary spending so long as you work six hours a day every day (minus one personal day a month which can be saved for later use) in a (OSHA equivalent compliant) government owned or approved business. The only pain to all this is you need to follow regulations like monthly check-ups, logging education credits/testing, and having very little choice in where your housing or what your meals are. You are free to leave the world if you want but so long as you remain there if regulations aren't followed spiders will show-up to your home and make sure you follow them.

Imagine missing a dental appointment and having a giant arachnid show-up to your door the next day to "escort" you to the dentist.

Why are the spiders benevolent bureaucrats?

The afterlife, mostly because I decided to go with the Mormon Model of the afterlife where everyone gets a place according to where they are most suited and comfortable.

the afterlife

unless you fucked up and worshipped an evil god, then the afterlife sucks ass

Because like bureaucrats, they both like making webs and untangle you within it.
Unlike the bureaucrats, they doing it not out of malice, but out of necessity.

That's hella gay yo

Nowhere. Not even death can save you, and even if you found someplace where people of all kinds were always good to each other, a natural disaster would kill them all and ruin it.

Most folks are okay with that though for whatever reason. Whether they don't believe the truth or just shrug it off, nobody really seems to mind.

The very bottom of the ocean, because most of the magical cosmic radiation is absorbed by creatures near the surface

Utopia, or paradise on earth?

I'm not sure what OP's suggested definition of ''Utopia'' is, so I'll just give my latter version, which is probably a distant island of not-Ogygia far to the west on the sea, inhabited by literally hundreds if not thousands of never-aging, nubile not-Calypso nymphs who live of honey and fruits of the island caught in perpetual summer and spend all day frolicing, playing, dancing and other completely non-lewd stuff. Naked.

>women now obsolete
>robowaifus everywhere

Platonic Aristocracy overseen by disembodied Philosopher Kings.

Can't improve perfection.

it's mostly about the biology user.
You have side that makes children and is productive and side that's a sperm-bag (bees).
Or side that only needs males for diversity when some dangerous kind of virus strikes because otherwise they reproduce by parthenogenesis (some kind of protozoa, i forgot).
Or herd of females with one male which is replaced every few years by new one (lions).
Let's not forget that in nature males are usually bit smaller than females(in insect i mean).
And you are kinda fucked when there's no females, but less fucked when there's no males also.
I mostly fuck gender precisely because of all that. We are humans, so we should be above nature.

>naughty succubus
Seems tautological, the latter kinda implies the former.

All of these Chuck Tingle wannabes.

>buying into the philosopher king meme
I bet you think communism could totally work but it hasn't been tried properly yet

Making up terminology is precisely how words work.

>Philosopher King
>Communism

Read The Republic you fucking pleb.

He didn't say it was.
I think the point is that people who believe something like Plato's republic would work are on the same level of people who think communism would

I think you and him should read The Republic, because it has nothing to do with communism.

>oooh oooh ah ah goo goo ga ga

God I hate anyone who invents or iterates on communication methods besides primordial grunts, pheromones and body language.

Yes it does.
Both are utopias.

>rape and graduations are the same thing
>both have crying
Utopia is a very broad category of things. Not a very good standard by which to state two things are similar.

Who cares, i'm not saying they're close

Marx clearly read Plato, you fuck.

>no blonde boys with blue eyes

>Marx clearly read Plato, you fuck.
Of course he did. He rails on and on about the evils of aristocracy.

it was the 90's, dark hair was the desirable trait in hunky boys

Fuck why don't I write a book if that stuff gets made and possibly published

the closest thing to a utopia in my setting is SEVERAL DYSTOPIAS.
Each of them are also utopias to some people.

The afterlife, at least for people who deep down are happy with themselves.

Oh, well, you seen, this is island of beautiful men, you're looking for island with beautiful overmen.

A planet of men who devote themselves fully to a particular walk of industry, art, or war for centuries at a time, having achieved a near-singularity.
An offshoot population of human colonists, a terrible accident while in transit had lead to the death of the vast majority of the females. The AI, having been damaged in the accident, decided the best way to resolve this was with extensive use of articial wombs, as well as chemically inhibiting the libido of the remaining colonists.
More than a few proverbial screws had come loose.
A few hundred generations later and the planet is pretty much entirely male, with the colony AI and its successors gradually genetically engineering the population to become, for all intents and purposes, sexless.

It turns out that when you remove a primary method of social competition, as well as entire desire to substitute it with a similar act, humans end up uplaying other sources of competition.

Naturally the other human factions they're in contact with consider this disgusting and horribly unnatural.

Sorry, few dozen*, not hundred

One way (other than male pregnancy)

Remove all automation, machines, etc, and make men quite rare. Then they won't really be disposable, because their greater physical abilities will be in high enough demand.

Pretty sure Jurassic World already did that.

>Main characteristic of Platonic aristocracy is that government officials can't own property or take salary.

He might have read it but he certainly didn't believe in it. Platonic aristocracy is not the same thing as Victorian aristocracy, user. You'd know that if you actually read the book.

Communism is way down the list of five regimes. Oligarchy, I think, describes it better.

...

There aren't really any states yet, so I guess whatever tribe has the best leaders and the most competent sorceresses.

If things go well in my current campaign, one of the PCs will be anointed as the first Son of Heaven, and found an Empire uniting all the tribes under his banner, which will then enjoy a golden age of good rulership and harmony between men until some great-great grandson of his fucks it all up by being an implausibly corrupt douchebag or something.

>GM describes the rise of this ideal equal society
>Blue Rose levels of poz
>Cringe just hearing it
>Military pulls a coup led by ebil Colonel
>Establishes fascist dictatorship, starts shooting people because of their eye color and shit
>We are the Resistance

desu the only thing I'm resisting is the allure of Hugo Boss. I didn't join a giant robot game to play a glorified Antifa.

Ugh, what are you? A braindead alt-righter?

Not what I was thinking (I am ) but I am going to use this now. Thanks user.

Original reason spiders were friendly bureaucrats is because I always thought a sentient society of them (Drow ideas about spiders be damned!) would be an orderly lot. They still can and do wage war though while it doesn't happen often they tend to eschew traditional warfare for swift and brutal strikes. Kinda like how a murderer may not be a great fighter but sure as hell knows how to kill someone.

>have access to giant robots
Burn it all to the ground.

some people live on islands where there's not as much violent loathing against other races and they're not attacked by big armies as much.

Then shut the fuck up and you run the game.

In my setting there's a Kingdom who specifically offer great benefits and care to those who come join it. The only catch is you are branded by their Ministry of the Populace which becomes painful if you leave the Kingdom.

>The Republic isn't communism

Are you joking philosophy-friend?

Structure: You break society down into 3 groups - Auxillaries, Producers and Guardians. Guardians basically breed between themselves to keep the perks in a ruling elite whilst everyone else intermingles to destroy group concepts and mindsets like family in favor of turning the general populace into people who only see the state as those who can provide and protector them and their interests.

Education - Reserved exclusively for the Guardians because only they can grasp the Forms. It's denied to everyone else beyond what they need for their role in order to function in society. Also as Socrates rejects aristocracy but needs an aristocratic system due to the guardians he gives them a freebie by basically saying 'because they are educated guardians they will work in the interests of the people and the people have to listen'

Defence - left in the hands of an army literally made by the state, to live and die for the state and do the bidding of the Guardians without question. Used to defend from 'foreign' invaders and internal threats to the status quo.

Production - entirely forced onto everyone else who do nothing all day but make shit / do stuff for the just state - to the point you can't leave their roles as they are effectively forced to do what the state decides they are good at.

Culture - Literally censored to be state only. Artists can't produce works that may 'confuse' the masses, so anything that's not state certified is suppressed.

Serious question - have you just started at University / College or something and just parroting stuff? Go read things from the 17th Century onward, at least the core concepts are still applicable today. The Republic is not

>m-muh state
lmao

WE! THE NÅÅÅÅÅÅÅÅÅRDIC BROOOOOOOOOTHEERSSSSSSSSSSS

All nations have some baggage. The most advanced state is rife with corruption and factionalism; the most stable is a nation of middlemen who've simply made themselves too important to invade.

Utopia are silly. Slaves pull together; free people pull in all directions.

I appologize for nothing, but I'll never let the PCs meet them

I remember you've posted this a few times in the past few years. What's the closest the PCs have to to going there? Have they met any emissaries or defectors?

Not even close and no
Cause I'm not the DM
I do know someone else is using their lore though

Have you ever made an attempt at creating the society as a player? Have you heard about stories of it from the other person?

No and not really other than they are in the setting somewhere

Probably Gladeherds. Buncha elk, moose, and deer minotaurs who were awakened to fight off the mistakes that the gods made at the start of time. Since basically being succeeded by several other failed protector races, they basically travel in small groups, check in on laylines and keep their secret settlements in errant folds of the wood created in their wars with various abominations. They cannot be bought, and killing a gladehorn is a chore, so they mostly get left alone and leave people alone. Occasionally they'll play politics in order to skew events. To be chosen to live among them is a rare privilege awarded only to those who would never seek it.

>Are you joking philosophy-friend?
Not at all, since you ignored the primary distinction of Plato's aristocracy - the Guardians cannot own property or take salary. They have "control" over society only so long as they produce social order. Your portrayal of Plato's aristocracy is closer to oligarchy, which is more in line with 20th century communism.

Education was not denied to anyone, clearly-not-philosophy user. Those who were found to possess an aptitude for a skill were merely directed towards education that refined it. You falsely present the system as people being forced into roles; Plato said specifically that people should be allowed to develop their natural talents for the benefit of the state. If you're better at math, you get training in math. If you're better at philosophy, you get training in philosophy. The state can't force someone to be good at math, hence Plato's insistence that education be freely available to everyone to increase the odds of finding viable candidates for all applicable fields of study.

Condescension is the surest sign of youth, by the by. You're clearly misinformed of the text, and by your interpretation of various cherry-picked, context-free facts it's clear you've not read the book, at least not recently.

The spirit realm.

Everyone goes there when they die, reguardless of their "crimes" or "benevolent acts". It is basically a glorified therapist visit, as the God of Hope and the Goddess of Spirits meet with every soul every day (They can be at multiple places at once, as they are gods, damnit) and tries to help them get over every major issue they have encountered in their life, so they can reach inner peace after death. Obviously, there would be considerable difference in the treatment of a wholesome baker and a genocidal dictator, but the concept of "punishment" or "negative reinforcement" does not exist. Another key feature of the Spirit Realm is that you have to explain why you killed to whoever you killed, or whoever's deaths you were directly responsible for. Some have had to explain to millions. All while this is going on, you are allowed to see family and friends, and you can meet other spirits as well. Combat is nearly impossible in the Spirit Realm, as the God of Hope or the Goddess of Spirits will break up any fight almost immediately. After a soul's "treatment" is complete, they are given 2 options. One is to reincarnate, another is to stay in the Spirit Realm and continue resting. Some souls, especially those gifted with magic or particularly emotional, adversely affect their reincarnations, and can actually give their new brain multiple personality disorder with their new personality and memories, and old.
