Hey guys I've made a sniper themed seeker executioner for Force and destiny. I just got my force rating, dedication and that special talent where you can roll the force dice as part of your check and am debating what to do next. Should I take sharpshooter to hone my gun skills with those nifty talents, or should I focus on specializations that give me more force rating?

Is Dash Rendar the closest thing to Jack Burton in the Star Wars setting?

Why aren't you using a lightsaber/10

But b-but muh guns

can a light sabers kill a man at a hundred meters?

How hard can you throw one?

Jack Burton has 2000000000% more character than Dash. Dash is just every generic 90s protagonist with dumb shoulder pads

My PC's have a bunch of NPC rebel troopers they can command around and do jobs for them.

Recently they've begun to want to upgrade them. How would I go about that?

Fucker spends 8 rounds stacking his bonuses before doing anything.

Doesn't matter if he's got a -60 because he's blind. 8 rounds of +20 bonuses will cancel that out.

And don't get me started on the dodge bonuses...

>flying nien numb, norra and a suicide raging proton torp A-wing against a poe and rey list
>a-wing dies before doing anything
>nien takes down poe then gets the crit that removes elite upgrade and pilot ability and gets instantly shot down by rey
>rey's down to 1 hull and no shields, norra still has 1 shield and all hull
>try to play cowardly and inch away to the edge of the board and force rey to come to me when I should obviously just k-turn and gun it in for the last shot
>fly a corner off the board and lose instantly like a fucking retard
Where's the best place to sell all my x-wing shit because clearly I'm too fucking stupid to play it. Ebay I assume?

>try to play cowardly and inch away
You weren't able to get a single hit through out of your rear firing arc while inching away?

Go Shaapshootser. Become the Wehrmacht specialist you were born to be.

Put blasters through people's eyes at 1km and do it using Holographic Ghillie, Camo Netting and a Personal Invisibility unit.

Be un-killable because you are un-findable.

Nope, he also just flew super slow so I only got one round of shooting in the whole time right before I went out and it was range 3 so he just rolled two evades and was fine.

If he was inching along like that then I think that means he wasn't taking your bait, user. You should have changed your plans right then.

Son, if you're going to sell things because you're too stupid to win, you're going to have to sell everything you own and live in the desert as a monk.

A really stupid monk.
Seriously though, that's an OK mistake to make. It happens.

Living as a monk in the desert is sounding pretty good about now

You say that, but your internet will be shit and it's hard to jerk it to dial-up tones.

It worked out for Kenobi. Go give it a try.

Alternatively, a lot of Orthodox monasteries in North America are dying out. Go convert, learn some useful skills, and go join one.

Upgrade them in terms of skill or equipment?

>Skill
Sounds like a mission to find, recruit, and extract a military instructor sympathetic to the cause.

>Equipment
Daring raids on supply convoys or military warehouses

Are there canonical "trinkets of moderate value" in Star Wars?

Stuff that a character might feasibly have in their pockets or on their ship that could be pawned for cash.

Deathsticks?

Eeh, I don't want to buy some deathsticks.

Wouldn't supply convoys just have E-11's? I think they'd be more looking for A280s or similiar.

There's always generic low-medium value gems or jewelry. Space-topaz, if you will.

Heavier weapons: heavy repeaters, e-webs, grenades, thermal detonators
Light vehicles: speeder bikes, troop transport speeders, maybe even some repulsor tanks or light walkers

And when your standard trooper is equipped with a blaster pistol, even a run-of-the-mill blaster rifle can be an upgrade. Uniforms and armor might be good for infiltration, too.

So I'm making a jedi in FnD and wanted to know if its not to strange to have a Shii-cho Knight with a lightsaber with a curved handle.

I think form 1's wild hacking and slashing techniques supplement a curved lightsaber. It also helps form 1's reliance in disarming opponents because of the strange angle the handle provides. Both form and curved lightsaber due bad when up against blaster.

If Ataru Striker focuses on multi-attack, what career focuses on single, powerful strikes?

Shii-Cho as far as I can tell, I care more for the mundane desu as Force users get boring after a while.

I don't understand why Warrior has Shii-Cho and not Juyo, since Shii-Cho is supposed to be the most barebones lightsaber style and Juyo the most violent.

Because Juyo is the one that only Darksiders and Mace Windu use, whilst Shii-Cho is the one that most resembles traditional swordfighting. Real Sith use swords

Even if it isn't sane, no one says your guy has to make good decisions. If that's their style, that's how they roll.

>X-Wing community is absolute shit at naming lists.
I know it's not a big deal, but these lame-ass names are no fun.
"Dengaroo" worked because it's like "Brangelina," combining the names of a married couple. You don't have to slam "aroo" of fucking every list that runs her.

>Even if it isn't sane

are Neb Bs good in armada? people keep saying they are crap at my LGS

Here' have a shit list with a good name
geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!32:72:-1:15:;42:-1,-1,144,-1,-1:-1:-1:;74:-1,-1,-1,2:-1:-1:;3:-1,-1:-1:-1:&sn=ABe's EXoddus

>it's hard to jerk it to dial-up tones
The key is to unravel the mystery of the wet dream. Use the power of the Force to fap with nothing other than the power of your mind.

Legit the worst naming convention in X-wing along with bumpmasters

What's wrong with BumpMasters? It's not terribly clever, but it's a solid rhyme/word substitution that also tells you how the list plays.

But thats wrong. Mace rediscovered Vaapad - an offshoot of Juyo, and Juyo was used for a thousand years before that by light and darksiders. TOR has its Jedi using Juyo FFS

I don't know if it'd be better in here or a different thread, but I'm building a campaign/series of one-shots, and I'm looking for templates and pictures for military bases and/urban or city environments. Anyone have any suggestions?

I could also use some advice with customizing enemies for their encounters, if someone could help

I think you mean invented.

Alright, that sounds doable. Just get them to get one load of things per raid. Slowly build them into specforce

Yes I do.

...

...

...

Anyone here play Star Wars Destiny? Just bought a booster box after playing a game with the decks. Really fun game

...

Those people are idiots, Ned Bs are fine, though usually you see them with either the salvation or yavaris title(the latter more than the former).

The main reason people say they suck is the huge vulnerable side arcs and the the lack of a redirect token, which means taking hits to the sides kills them very fast.

That said, they make great snipers and support ships, because they can stay back a red range with no drop in firepower, and keep their well shielded bow facing the enemy far easier.

>look at the time
Whew user...

>no one says your guy has to make good decisions
Sooooooo...it is a good idea? *shrug*

Adding to that, the Salvation tile is the king of the sniper role (it counts crits results as 2 damage giving it a 1 in 4 chance of double damage on each die).

Yavaris on the other hand, is used for squadron double taps - any squadron that it activates can attack twice if it does not move.

There's also the Redemption title, but no one takes it.

yeah. had a couple games with a borrowed deck and recently picked upthe Villian stater deck.

Just gonna casualfag it and get the occasional single booster and build with what I have instead of buying whole boxes to get everycard.

>nien takes down poe then gets the crit that removes elite upgrade and pilot ability
You deserve it for using the old damage deck, fuck sake

would the winged MC80 make a good team with a pair of Neb Bs to make a sniper team?

or should i just go imperial if i want to just shoot things out the front

Any MC80 you play, especially the winged ones, would be better off getting close and drawing enemy fire while the Nebs hang back and snipe.
Activate an MC80 with Overload Pulse first and you've got a good chance to exhaust all your enemy's defense tokens, making them prime targets for Neb sniping.

Does anyone have a scan of Savage Spirits that is actually legible?

I was a teen in the 90's, I still have a fetish for pixilated porn.

Hah. Kids like you barely know the joys of busting a nut to distortion porn.

I remember a time when you had to go to a fucking sleazy sticky movie theatre to enjoy porn
I am very happy to have lived to this age

You know people with zero interest in TFA ships aren't going to buy that starter set just for a new damage deck.

Hell I wish FFG would release an official but optional era system just to make things more fluffy.

I'd say makashi, since it hat that finishing move at the end of the tree

Alright, so I don't like flying palp defenders. Its strong and too simple for me to have fun with, so I've always flown variants and I've had a blast.

But I've been thinking of changing it up slightly (at least until I see what that new cannon is on the scum epic). Normally I have my 2 defenders and a support ship, but I've been considering either upgrading the pilots and/or dropping the support for straight damage. Which would be better?

My usual list:
>scimitar squadron pilot
Tie mk.ii engine
Tie shuttle
Fleet officer
>Countess Ryad
Tie/D
Ion cannon
Predator
>Glaive Squadron Pilot
Tie/D
Ion cannon
Predator

My idea for boosted pilots:
>Gamma Squadron Vet
Tie mk.ii engine
Tie shuttle
Fleet officer
Swarm Leader
>Maarek Steele
Tie/x7
Juke
>Rexler Brath
Tie/x7
Expertise

This way Rexler maintains full modification for pushing crits, and the shuttle can pretend to be a phantom.

And the idea to throw more red dice by dropping the support ship:
>Pure Sabacc
Adaptive Ailerons
Lightweight frame
Swarm leader
>Maarek Steele
Tie/x7
Juke
>Rexler Brath
Tie/x7
Predator

Brath loses most of his mods and in return Sabacc can throw 7 red dice at range 1.

What would you fly?

In the last regionals double defenders plus omega leader or quickdraw have been reasonably popular

If you're rocking Rex have ships shoot before him so they can eat up shields before he attacks. Tomax would be great here.

>Hell I wish FFG would release an official but optional era system just to make things more fluffy.
There's no real point, it'd just be printing out a list of which ships saw service when for people to reference, which people can already do on their own.

if to want to stick to a certain era just talk it over woth your opponent. in my experience most of the time people are haply to try out game varients or missions in a casual setting.

What did they put on quickdraw? Rage and baffles?

I would if I could. I like running Brath with RAC for that reason, but I'm fine with dealing crits on the second pass if I need to. Plus Brath can help chew away shields for Maarek's crit, and the shuttle/sabacc can pull shields off the next target or kill the critted ship if it isn't gone by then.

Do those other troopers even lift? they're tiny manlets compared to the spacetrooper.

I don't know easy access to porn has completely dulled me and has made me incredibly picky. I can fap to lesbian and gay porn and they have to be absolutely specific or I can't fap. Straight does nothing for me anymore and it sucks.

Expertise, lightweight frame and sensor cluster iirc

No such entertainment where I grew up, best I could hope for was talking my neighbours older sister into showing you her bits.

How does my Scum list look? I'm new to X-wing.

geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum and Villainy&d=v4!s!126:37,39,113:-1:-1:;120:8,120,1,1,121:-1:7:;114:53,-1:-1:-1:;114:26,-1:-1:-1:&sn=Babby's First Scum list

A little bit all over the place, to be honest. Kavil works best with a tlt and no torpedo. If you're set on proton torpedoes, however, take extra munitions instead of the second one. Saves points.

The hwk doesn't seem to know what its doing. You need a focus for the turret, or an action for the saboteur. Either give him the moldy crow title so he can keep focuses stashed away, or consider a different Loadout. Autoblaster and saboteur is interesting, but forces you to get into range 1 to use it (where the hwk will die easily).

The black sun pilots usually can't do much due to their low pilot skill. They will need to get a target lock to fire. Either give them both feedback arrays to be easy blockers, or swap them for a super damage z: n'dru sulahk

Try this:
>Palob Godahli
Tlt
Saboteur
Black market slicers tools
Expertise (or predator or something)
>kavil
Tlt
Predator
R4 agromech
Engine upgrade
>N'dru
Lone wolf
Cluster missiles
Glitterstim
Guidance chips

Whoops also need experimental interface on palob to get the BMST and Saboteur off at once.

Alright, tried again.

geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum and Villainy&d=v4!s!124:54,0,38,-1:3:-1:;121:37,1,-1,118:21:-1:;115:26,-1:-1:7:;115:53,-1:-1:-1:&sn=Newfag's second attempt

Running Dash Rendar for the first time, later today (fat Dash).

Any interesting ideas for who to bring alongside him? I was thinking Corran Horn, but that seems a little too boring.

Dash/Corran is pretty standard but still fun to play. I like running Miranda loaded with TLT and bombs. Gives me late game regen power and crazy board control with all dem bombs.

I love my Nien Numb build

Stay on Target, Targeting astro, autothrusters, pattern analyzer

It's very non-boring.

Any idea how Miranda and Norra do when paired up together?

They are good on their own and they don't interact in any meaningful way so they are good but don't expect anything stellar.

I was thinking since they were both good late-game ships an opponent might feel like there's no good answer of which to target first.

They aren't that tanky though, they are both vulnerable to focus fire and can be erased one at a time in a couple turns. I think you should chose between one of them and either pair them with a bigger and tankier ship (like Rey for example) or put them with Biggs.

A Lothal Rebel with some cheap upgrades can be a big fat pain in the ass for the other guy. Miranda or Cornholio regenerating probably get you better bang for your buck though. Norra might fit too, though again less tactically agile.

Wingman and drea won't work well I think. She doesnt need actions, as she will always just take her constant target locks.

I can see what you are doing with dace for the extra bit of damage, but its not usually that effective. Ive never actually seen Dace on the table before. People just bring palob and torkil because their abilities are so good.

If you're set on bringing the two z's, ion pulse missiles should be swapped for assault or concussion missiles with the guidance chips modification. Concussion with guidance chips really hammers in 4 hits easily. Then you can give them feedback arrays so they aren't useless in combat.

I'm off to my first tournament tomorrow. I'm thinking of playing Countess Ryad, Tomax Bren and Pure Sabacc. Does that sound reasonable? I've not been doing this long but it's a casual event.

Hmm. Are you gonna be using Swarm Leader?

Maybe, I was going to put crackshot on Tomax. I think Pure Sabacc could be nuts though, with an early attack

>get him! he stole my B-Wingike

Ha, got 'im?

I guess Ctrl+S doesn't work anymore?

It does.

Third's a charm?

Fuck this gay Earth, why it works now?

Anyway, sorry my offtopic. Also dubs.

Did anyone ever stat this thing fpr FFG? Or any of the other Mini-Rigs?

We'll... some have appeared on the cards

Anyway, I'm going to play x-wing tomorrow and have put this list together. Not played much so far, but any advice?

Tomax Bren (24)
TIE Shuttle (0)
Recon Specialist (3)
Tactician (2)
Crack Shot (1)

Countess Ryad (34)
TIE/x7 (-2)

Pure Sabacc (22)
Adaptive Ailerons (0)

Dark Curse (16)

Since C-ROC Cruiser is at the Printer, can we expect him in June or July?

Apparently that mobile Commander game made these two full canon.
