Are there any leaks for the new eldar formations that are more clear. Going by the preorder bundles, I own everything needed to make the reborn warhost, soul bound vanguard, and ynneads net. The war host and vanguard, with upgrades, add up to 2000 points. Looks a bit weak without more transports though

Are slaves trusted with their armor? In the case of Word Bearers at least their armor simply changes due to exposure to the Warp. Apparently they hardly (if ever) remove their armor and eventually it fuses to their body and melds with it.

The warhost is just the "units from any eldar faction" detachment, much like the castellans (assumedly)

Well, its mainly a matter of finding a theme and sticking to it.

For example, part of my Chaos Warband is really focused on vehicles, machines, and tech heresy, so all of them have meltaguns where the option exists. All the various squads and vehicles stem from the Warp Smith's plans.

While it HUGELY depends on the warband in question, Chaos Marines generally adorn their armor with their trophies and gear personally, as letting a slave touch their trophies is absolutely unthinkable. Most also still venerate their armor and wargear to some degree, simply because they basically live in it. Slaves may do basic maintenance, but they don't do any of the "big things".

Again, though, depends hugely on the warband. Some warbands may view their gear as tools and little else, allowing slaves to do pretty much all of the actual work.

Across all codices, what is the most effective Terminator unit/loadout/tactic?

Spamming single man Deathwatch termites with various special weapons or melta powerfists

Just the unit on it own?
I'm partial to say deathwing terminators, fearless can sometimes hurt them but with split fire and twin-linked on deep strike they're quite effective.

Course i'm less familiar with terminators outside them and blood angels.

Using deathwing knights as a shooty unit.

Probably death wing, most cases shooting load outs, and I think they're most effective at creating distractions or supporting fire behind the front line

They vary too much between marines, CSM, and deathwatch.

For CSM- MSU with 3 combi-meltas and axes to hopefully pop a tank and earn their points back.

Marines- TH/SS deathstar

Deathwatch- shooty

Are Daemon Princes allowed to retain whatever position they had in a warband if they wish?

Like if a Chaos Sorcerer turned Daemon Prince wishes to retain his (subordinate) position as his Chaos Lord's adviser, is his Lord going to go for that or is he getting the boot in favor of someone else due to how fickle Daemons are?

I'd like to find a theme but It feels like flexibility is too important to commit around.

Depends on the position they want, i would not trust a daemon prince to be the head chef.

A lot of princes have trouble maintaining their form in real-space. In the IW omnibus, the chaos lord that ascends starts to fade into the warp.

If the Chaos Lord is the leader of his respective warband and becomes a daemon prince then yes, he can most certainly use the great power he's been given to continue his rule over the army.

But as for the situation you described, I doubt any right minded Chaos Lord is going to want his second in command/adviser/whatever to continue sticking around after he's been given the immense power of daemonhood. That'll just lead to him with a warped claw through his back at some time or another.

When you oversee an army of bloodthirsty killers that are seeking the favor of daemon gods it doesn't do well to have others just as or more powerful than you right below you on the chain of command.

Well, part of that is why I segmented my Warband into effectively being three separate ones teaming up. Thus I have a bit of flexibility in theme and can add stuff in in a way that makes sense

He has no listed Strength stat, which is entirely different from having S0 or S-. Cease this autism.

Worst case, his RAW prevents him from making use of HoW and being unable to strike blows if his sword is disarmed by Eldar faggotry, but that's it. And this only applies at all if you, the opponent, are an absolute douchenozzle.

Forgeworld has two different models, if that aint' good enough you've chosen it for yourself.

I try to keep things as official as possible, and most proxies I've seen are floating around $5-10 for a single weapon. Hell, FW charges $20 for a set before shipping.

They've been the go-to heavy weapon for guard for a decade.

Can't say that there is much you can do with the model chaos-wise. I've got a friend who is using the beetle as one of the nid gargantous creatures, the elf on top is built like a lot of the AoS stuff, so it fits together really well, but it's all curved so unless you are amazing at greenstuffing, it's really hard to do anything to it

He's the Red Angel.

The Red Angel is a Daemon of Chaos which during the Horus Heresy possessed the body of Apothecary Meros of the Blood Angels during the Battle of Signus Prime.
The daemon was formed from the distilled rage of Brother-Captain Tagas, who had been believed lost on Murder[2a], which formed sentience in the process.

First Chaplain Erebus had planned to have Sanguinius become the daemon's host, with Kyriss the Perverse offering to free the Blood Angels of the Red Thirst forever if Sanguinius took the ragefire into himself, but Meros instead sacrificed himself so that Sanguinius would not.

The act freed the Blood Angels of the rage that had befallen them, but only a fraction of Meros remained alive, enough to tormented by his decision. so whats the deal with bs 6+? most of the units that have it don't have blast weapons that would benefit from the scatter reduction, and the best you can hit on is 2+ with shooting. why does bs 6 and 7 exist?

Put them in the formation and they're t5, 2+/5++ 5+ FnP rerolling 1s.
Too tough to be chipped down with small arms fire, over a 50% chance to ignore an ap2 wound and even strength 10 ap2 has 1/3 chance to be ignored.

Give them power axes (maybe a hidden chain fist) and combi-plasmas/meltas and go to town.
