>best way to build Armored Sentinels vs Necrons / skitarii
Plasma Cannon is always good. Autocannons are decent against Skitarri and their walkers, but a Plasma Cannon is good too since it gets AP2 for vehicles.

Everyone talks up Autocannons and I get why, but every game I've used Autocannons with them I've walked away pretty disappointed. They just miss a lot. I prefer Multi-Lasers since they hit more often and end up causing more wounds and stuff more often for me, but they also tend to do very little being AP6. Plasma Cannons always perform well for me, they just risk Gets Hot.

more scions

I should really paint them.

grav pistol 9" grav ap2 pistol
grav gun 18" grav ap2 assault 1
grav cannon 24" grav ap2 ordnance 2

Switch out the 4 servitors for a Primaris Pskyer.

There, fixed.

I would say to just go for Salvo 1/2 on the gun and salvo 2/3 with no amp on the cannon.

Whats the best Mek Gun for outflanking?

Without resorting to making counts-as Fire Warriors, how would you make as hard a Drone gimmick Tau list as possible while still retaining a sense of viability (You auto-lose control point games because dustbins can't hold objectives). I have an image in my head of some master control suit commanding a mass force of drones, or simulating a drone attack sweep.

Sorry, Aeldari players.

None of them because they can't move and fire.

>None of them because they can't move and fire.

A character with mega armor changes that.

Primaris Psyker or just 2 commissars for leadership?

Add New Celestine is not a SoB.

How would you fix Orks in a fluffy way?

Oh, that's right.

Kustom mega kannons, go for rear armour.

Kustom Mega Kannonz, you have a 61% chance to direct-hit Medium Vehicles, and if you're outflanking that means you more or less automatically hit either the side or rear of armour at S8.

How are you outflanking with orks?

HAVE OUR TRUE GENERAL THREAD!

How to plague renegade and heretics an army for 500-1000 points? With the new traitor legions I can now add plague marines as normal troops no?
>1 arch demogugblablah nurgle convent not sure which uh, arch thing to take
x1 Infantry platoon,
x1CPS with a vox?
x2 20 squads with chaos sign
how many plague marines i can shove
x50 for shit and giggles.
What about heavy support?

Depends on where they are going. I actually like a Primaris Psyker ML1 to join a Lascannon heavy weapons squad so he makes them LD9. They can receive more consistent orders that way so they can be ignoring cover more often and he can cast Prescience on them for twin-linked Lascannons.

Still a very fragile unit, so I would make sure they are in good cover, preferably behind an aegis wall so you can go to ground for that 2+ cover.

m-muh copyright!!!

Add samefag who always shitposts aeldari and tau

There is a difference between the army itself and those who play it.

Are you shitting me?

Make their weargear cheaper.
Unlike other factions their stuff isn't hard to make or some kind of artifact, it's just junk the mek boy threw together.

15 power klaws, 5 point flamer power swords, 5 point combi-weapons, cheaper walkers and battlewagons, etc.

The idea is that Orks still have a shit stat-line but can take a fuck ton of weapons and toys.

You say that but I know a meatball of a kid who frequently claims that he is a harlequin and is all that stands between the galaxy and never-ending torment at the hands of chaos. He means well but it gets kind of annoying after a while.

I'm in most 40k generals and I play Eldar and it always surprises me that this gets a rise out of people. I think the Aeldari thing is pretty hilarious and it amazes me how butt hurt some folks get about it.

While I disagree on making things cheaper just for the sake of it, I would say that certain Ork wargear and weapons should certainly be cheaper compared to to other units. Having Initiative 2 and BS 2 means any guns or melee weapons aren't as valuable in the hands of an Ork. 10 points for a power sword in their hands is entirely reasonable.

Feeeeed the b8

Because Eldar players are enormous faggots who get butthurt (when they aren't stuffing their anus with massive black cocks) when people mock the faggy name change

>How are you outflanking with orks?

Mogrok's Boss Boyz.

Lets out outflank D3 units no matter what they are.

Can get a bit pricey with 3 meks, 1 warboss and a weird boy being a requirment, but they can have their uses.

I guess? I play Eldar and I just laugh about it and the go back to painting stuff.

That's because some homosexuals are still in the closet. Kinda like the people who get mad when they're called faggots for fapping to traps. Aeldari are 40k's equivalent to that.

>Aeldari
lmao

I mean, people reacted the same way with imp guard to astra militarum, you don't have to call them aeldari

So is Mogrok supposed to be a special character or something?

I think it sounds like a decent plan. You want a mega armor boss anyway to tag along with the guns, and the Meks you could use to bolster some outflanking transports as well or something.

give them the ability to take more wargear so they can fill out the points.
boyz squad should be able to take 3 special weapons and an extra 1 for every 10 Orks.

Make 'eavy armour 3ppm so people may actually consider taking it.

Give nobz access to special weapons as well so you can fit an extra rokkit, big shoota or flamer on boss boy.

>eldar players are sexual deviants with an inferiority complex and resort to shitposting the general to make up for their awfulness
YOU CANNOT

MAKE

THIS

SHIT

UP

>wanted to drop pod a pod full of Assault marines on top of the enemy on turn one
>turns out the Burning of Prospero only comes with HOLSTERED chainswords and pistols for everyone and 3 for the sergeants
Oh fucking hell.

I know that thread is dead, but too many generals came up since yesterday and it's probably too late. So, here's my answers to you.

>Why no wings on the Tyrant?
Because I want to play Tyrant Guards.

> Idk what you think his shreddershard beetles are gonna do. and a Stranglethorn AND CCW shit on him? What are you trying to even do with him?
Do you seriously mean that giving melee AND shooting weapons on the same character is wrong? Also, everyone knows that Tyrants on foot must take Stranglethorn, Devourers are for Flyrants.

>You kitted out your Warriors for melee? They're dead. they're gonna get shot to death before they reach the enemy, they are, say it with me now D E A D.
I wanted to play shooty Warriors with Deathspitters, but the first guy who answered said that Warriors should do nothing but run and charge all the time and shooting weapons are just a waste of points on them.

>Hormagaunts aren't worth their points. You can't cap objctives while locked in combat, so Hormagaunts have a conflict of interest. Termagants are a much stronger choice.
I'm going to get the big box with 40 Hormagaunts inside and I want to use them. Also: I got it. You hate melee weapons. If I wanted to use an army that does nothing but shooting I would just stick to the Tau army I already own instead of trying something new.

>Why are your units so fucking big? The bigger and fewer the units, the quicker they're gonna die. Instead of bringing 1 unit of 20 guys, bring 2 units of 10, for example.
It's the exact opposite, smaller units die faster because there's less stuff to shoot at, huge blobs are the bulk of every Nid/Ork/Daemon army. Also I don't want to buy the large Tyranid Swarm box only to end up using only the Termagants.

>I'd cut the Zoeys down to 2 regulars and 1 Neurothrope.
The guy from before said that I should play only 2 Venomthropes, so I had to add a fourth Zoan in order to use the entirety of the Zoanthrope box.

(Continue because too long)

I think that's actually the best call. Being able to take 5 shootas in a squad of 10 boys would be quite nice (3 base, 1 more for 10, 1 on the nob). That would make shooty boy squads more viable to be certain.

I submit that 'eavy Armor should only cost 2 points per model as opposed to 4 in order to match the cost of carapace in the Inquisitorial Agents book. The Kustom Mega Slugga and Shoota should have their cost reduced by 10 and 5 points respectively, Boarding Planks should make non-open topped vehicles assault vehicles. Kill-Kannon should either have +1 Strength or Have ordinance removed.

>he is actually this fucking mad
>Aeldari
I can't breathe.

I know what you mean. I got the Betrayal at Calth box, and I just barely had enough for a 5 man assault squad, and that was with 2 flamers.

what?

Make things as wacky as in the table as it is in the lore.

Like walkers that can take 4 arms or 4 guns, cheaper wargear and options (it's all made from junk anyway, no reason it should be as high as it is), a 400 point stompa when fully upgraded (puts it more in line with the knight), the options to slap mek gunz on any and all walkers, tanks, the trukk, and

Furthermore, I'd roll nobz and meganobz into one unit and let all of the wargear options they would take to become meganobz be a free upgrade.

Mobrulewould also become null and void for all units within 12 inches of a stompa, a squad of nobz or any character.

Would also take the tellyport blasta to a new level by having it teleport the opponent's units into their reserves for a turn or so forth.

Weird boys would also get options for a bike and there would be weird boy deff dreads and an orkanaut variant that gets warp lance as a free attack.

If any of this is too OP, feel free to point it out.

>Play dark eldar.
>Fetishes, bdsm and genderbender.
You really can't.

I wish Prospero came with flamers for the tactical marines. I do have 4 extra chainsword arms from regular tactical/devastator boxes, and could probably even find some older ones in my bitz box but it would break my autism hard to mix Mk III and new marine bits.

>Gargoyles suck
Well, I'm going to get 20 Gargoyles because of the Start Collecting and Swarm boxes, not using them would be a huge waste of money.

>Carnifex is really not as good as he used to be. For the points, a Tyrannofex (though he's not great) is a better distraction unit than a carni.
But once again, I like Carnifex more than Tyrannofex, also everybody knows that the true distraction unit is the Haruspex now.

>The biggest changes I'd make would be to take 2 flyrants. Replace your hormagaunts with termagants, and bring a tervigon (either as a troop, or as a 3rd HQ with the Hive Fleet Detachment)
Or, to make it short, "remove everything I actually like about Tyranids to play the exact same things every other Nids player uses because the true way to play Tyranids is considering them a IG/Tau alliance"

I believe so.

Kind of like that scenario from the Fall of Cadia books where the big mek challenging Cawl counts as a special character.

The extra big meks are a boon.

Lets you have the shokk attack gun and a kff or two, which are sorely needed for getting some things where they need to go.

Do vox casters apply to the 50 blob or just 10 squad? (Assuming the latter)

I definitely agree on the heavy armor. 8 points a model for a 4+ save melee troop is actually rather decent.

Should also just be given to nobz for free

SoB players are all degenerate!

Aeldari players are just butthurt because most gamestores outright ban them and their bullshit.

Those aren't offical models though.

I think if you combine the units, they act as one for all intents and purposes so yes? I'm not sure.

Not with that attitude!

>Crossdress
>They kick you out for non GW models in a GW store
>Sue for sexual descrimnation
>?????
>Profit!

Or something like that

I know Ynnari is all the rage but I'm not enchanted and don't think its as good as other people think it is. That said this is the list I'd like to take my first large event of the year. Thoughts?

Eldar CAD
>Farseer - Skyrunner
>Autarch - Fusion Gun, Banshee Mask
>4x Windriders - 4x Scatter Lasers
>3x Windriders - 3x Scatter Lasers
>5x Wraithguard - D-Scythes
>Crimson Hunter - Exarch
>Wraithknight - Glaive and Shield

Dark Eldar
>Archon - Webway Portal, Blaster, Shadowfield
>5x Warriors - Blaster, Venom (2x Splinter Cannons)
>5x Warriors - Blaster, Venom (2x Splinter Cannons)
>5x Warriors - Blaster, Venom (2x Splinter Cannons)
>5x Scourges - 4x Haywire Blasters
>6x Reavers - 2x Blasters, 2x Cluster Caltrops

The Archon joins the Wraithguard for a no scatter deepstrike. The Autarch joins the Reavers to add some extra punch and prevent them from being overwatched on charging.

>friends tell me to but Maleceptor
>it's shit guys
>we'll let you roll biomancy
>we have house ruled choosing psychic powers

YES YES YES

>be homosexual
>be WAACfag
>play the gay WAAC faction
>literally no one wants to play me because I'm waacfaggot in the most literal sense of the word

so what exactly is the reason that Aeldari and Daeldari are fighting together?

Aren't they anathema to one another?

Finished the list. Advice is great.

cheetahposting is gonna be the next new forced meme isn't it

Oh are we still butt mad over the dumb Eldar formation.

Don't worry the Tau still rip them to absolute shreds when you play RAW

I've posted it before I know but the only replies I ever get are asking if I'm really going to paint this model count, which I'm more than willing to.

I don't see a better way to move special weapons across the board than this. I don't really consider it balanced to be honest

Also including Volkovs Cane and Kabe's Herald but they arent on the app.

Ignore it and it'll go back to /v/

As well as War Convocation

A) no they're not - they'll work with each other before non Eldar.

B) They've created a renegade religious fanatic faction within their own numbers which is drawing members from all walks of Eldar life.

>Vidyā or Vidhya means "correct knowledge" or "clarity"
>"Knowledge is power, guard it well"
Are you shitting me?

Nice army, why aren't you using those howitzers for your list if you already have them painted?

2 points is too low, why wouldn't you take it on your Orks at that point?

Just reduce boyz to 5 points and keep armour at three, if you're going to take boyz then you're going to want armour near always but then you can run a huge tide of 20-30 Orks for a mere 100-150 points if you're that sort of madman.

So i just got my box of Zoan/Venomthropes and I dont know is it better to build two Venoms and one Zoan or two Zoans and one venom.

I have never see so many cheetahs in one thread.

They aren't mine man.. These are the only replies I get..

Also since Unending Host sadly only allows me to take one fast attack and one heavy support each I'm forced to choose between wyverns, rapier lasers and earthshaker batteries. Since I'm lacking ranged anti tank and armour the S9 T7 twin linked AP1 barrage seems like my best bet, leaving the blob clearing up to my flamer squads and ablative lasgun fire.

How are Noise Marines supposed to be kitted out in an EC force? Their weapons options make little sense to me.

They can be given 4+ FNP, which is cool as fuck. But then their special options are:
>2 CCWS - this makes sense, they have high I and maybe 4+ FNP, no problem here
>An AP3 flamer for 15 points - pretty cool, makes sense too, lets them fuck with Marines especially if you give the champion something AP3 in close combat
but then
>really long range missile launcher type weapon that can either be s4/ap5 assault 2 or s8 ap3 heavy 1
Shouldn't that sort of gun go on a squad that just sits in the back lines? And yet it seems to me that you'd want your Noise Marines close up to the enemy
>ignores cover but shitty stats bolter-type-thing
I'm guessing you give them these as a fuck you to cover saves but then you'd have to charge into cover

What am I missing? Or alternatively post your Noise Marine load outs please

>Orks
>WS4 S3(4) T4 A3
>Guardsman
>WS3 S3 T3 A1
Initiative isn't everything
It sure fucking helps though...

What feedback do you even want?

It's a solid list as far as I can tell.

I don't really see anything wrong with this. That said, can DAs actually take a power mace with the shimmershield? I don't have my codex on me but I thought the options were power weapon + pistol or power sword + shimmershield.

Your list has a good mix of weapons but it's not full cheese so I'd just roll with it.
