Tfw too intelligent for infinity

Tfw too intelligent for infinity

go back to /AOS/

I don't play infinity, and I think you're a faggot.

People play what they enjoy. It's not a statement on anyone's intelligence on what they play. Only children think that way.

You're dumb as fuck if you think infinity isn't only for people with low I.Q.

Sure. Whatever you say, kid.

are you talking about the sideways five?

No, he's talking about the ridiculous six.

>GW and their fans still mad about few images

What's with these /v/tier shitposts lately?

Entire tabletop gamer base going full autistic would be my guess.

I only vaguely keep track of Infinity, what happened?

>what happened?
Some infinity anons make a joke about GW "premium quality"

Infinity has some nice models and decent rules, but the writers obviously don't know the first thing about Christian or Islamic Theology, and until that issue has been resolved, I'll stick with Warhammer 40k.

>but the writers obviously don't know the first thing about Christian or Islamic Theology
I wasn't aware that was a prerequisite for a miniature modelling hobby.

Haha that's funny. To be frank GW's model range varies from 'holy crap why are they still selling this shitty old sculpt' to 'really awesome'. As far as the premium quality term, that was coined by the last CEO who did everything in his power to fuck over the company. He was also the asshole that stated GW is not a game company. The new CEO is doing better for the company and it's slowly turning around.

And to be honest, GW plastic kits have ruined me for other companies that try to do plastics, even metal minis. One of the main reasons I won't into infinity is because I don't like metal minis. But that's just me though.

>the "politics" of a scifi/fantasy miniatures wargame set hundreds in the future trigger me
I'm going to assume this is bait, because you should neck yourself otherwise

>The new CEO is doing better for the company and it's slowly turning around.
But even Cevin doesn't think that GW are game company.

>The new CEO is doing better for the company and it's slowly turning around.

Is that why I'm seeing a lot more actual Warhammer games being created through STEAM?

Have they finally taken that rigid stick out of their ass and licensed their product to be sold in non-tabletop markets?

Pity they don't care who actually uses it, so we get 90% tripe.

>And to be honest, GW plastic kits have ruined me for other companies that try to do plastics
Dude even the Perrys or AoW make better plastic kits than GW

>but the writers obviously don't know the first thing about Christian or Islamic Theology, and until that issue has been resolved, I'll stick with Warhammer 40k.
is this some next level bait

>The new CEO is doing better for the company and it's slowly turning around.
>terrain for 130$
>still no sign of balance or even balancing
>8+ new age rating
>guys new CEO is good

>offering better deals on model kits
>reopening communication with the community
>more frequent faqs, and made based on community feedback
>bringing back specialist games.
He's not checking everyone's boxes, but he's getting shit done in the right direction.

Shills gotta shill

>>offering better deals on model kits
Let me guess you mean "Start Collecting"?
>>reopening communication with the community
With the same GW plicy "if you not agree with us at 100% we don't care about your opinion".
>>more frequent faqs, and made based on community feedback
So what? It literally didn't fix the problem with game-design, check TSons, Imperial Agents and Ynnari rules, or new Tzeench rules for AoS, it's all the same circlejerk as 6th editions of 40k and 8th edition of FB.
>>bringing back specialist games.
Such as Blood Bowl, yeah?

For some reason Infinity General has been target for shitposting a lot lately. Used to be a really comfy general with everyone being helpful, especially with the amount of apparent newcomers coming to every thread (like at least 3 "looking into this game, how should I start" posts every thread).

Current thread started autistic as fuck, as someone decided to start it off with fetishy OCs and people did not like the latest previewed models at all. But we've had this kind of "too intelligent to play Infinity" shitposters for a month now.

Someone must have been really bored once and someone else probably picked it up.

the proliferation of link teams has basically ruined the system for me, even if it checks so many other boxes.

deathstars in skirmish games are the dumbest shit

Looks like you're an N2 guy.
There's so many ways to kill a link that it's appropriate to call one a deathstar. Often one chucklefuck with a Chain Rifle will do.

Although I do often play against Haqqislam and I am always expecting a Yuan Yuan to drop down.

>did not like the latest previewed models at all.
You mean new Bakunin releases?

Yeah, the Moderators. Apparently no one likes them unless they are entirely on board with having Guardians of the Galaxy on your table.

Original book, actually. I just don't like being forced to take certain pieces (that I may not want to paint or even own) just to deal with them.

Like, I could buy a gazi pack and some yuans and have no problems, but I find those models ugly. And avoiding links/those ubiquitous toolbox figures immediately puts you on the back foot because of the immense and immediate benefits of both, with no real downsides aside from sectorial limitations.

It's still a boatload of fun in a more casual environment, but that's not really the focus of the CB or (more importantly) the players themselves. Figs are still nice and I do still buy them to paint, just don't play as often.

That's surprisingly common complaint on the internet. Like "REEE, THIS DOESN'T CONFORM TO THIS RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLE" or "REEE, THIS KANJI IN THIS LOGO IS WRONG".

>with no real downsides aside from sectorial limitations
Well, in Haqq case you can't play Saladin or Maghariba in any of the existing sectorials.

And I don't like auto-include models either; I am extremely resistant to using Intruders and Jaguars, despite it being such a powerful combo. Maybe instead of forcing myself to do it I should up my Tomcat and Hellcat game.

Which is weird because the game is full of references already. Why get upset now?

You don't need to be extremely intelligent to play Infinity.
But you'd have to be extremely stupid not to.

Dunno, maybe the models are just weird Nomads already had a few Marvel references with X-Men Morlocks and Deadpool-lookalike Senor Massacre. And old Moderator Sniper was a GitS guy, as was Clockmaker.

I'll be honest, this is less a "this ruleset sucks" complaint and more of an "I don't like thing" one.

Higher emphasis on listbuilding (which was inevitable with the extra profiles over the years and the focus on the ITS, I guess) and introduction of order-efficient mini-squads just ain't my jam.

Exactly. And ither factions have even more. You'd have to be ignorant to those to becone uppsett now about figures referencing other media.
