Can i use a lego minifig for D&D?

The prices are ridiculous.
May as well pick a character with more playability.

You not only can, but should.

yes, you can

Lego has literally created DnD sets recently.

I can't see why anybody would have a problem with them.

The GM (Faggot) says that my character has to look according to his inventory.
I can't fit a backpack and body armour on the minifig.

Anybody remember the user who used to take requests to make Lego minifig versions of your player characters? He probably made at least 50.

>Lego has literally created DnD sets recently.
That's not how it works you little shit

>second post.
Is it a re-hash of the failed heroica set?

He's talking about this:

but even though it hit 10,000 supporters, Lego is probably not going to move forward with it, because of Hasbro owning the D&D license and the aforementioned flop of Heroica probably burning TLG and keeping them out of the tabletop roleplaying market.

A lot of people fail to understand how Lego Ideas works and think that if a project gets 10,000 votes it automatically gets put into production. TLG has to decide whether or not it's profitable before they greenlight it, no matter how many votes it gets.

>That skeleton in the middle.
Very nice.
What a shame we won't see it on the tabletop though...

It's Lego, so... you can just make your own

GO TO BED PETER.

So you are supposed to order new fig every time your equipment is changed?

Well, with lego exploding into popularity as of late, that might be worth relooking into.

>order
Sculpt.

Is that suppose to be an Adeptus Mechanicus dude-bro?

I don't know why you're having a problem getting cheap minis for D&D. You can literally buy them for a fiver off Wayland Games or wherever.

I don't know, why are you asking us and not your DM?

That's obnoxious

>I can't fit a backpack and body armour on the minifig
There's a breastplate that's just a front piece, and there's plenty of normal torsos with drawn-on armour

Lego gets expensive quick.
Your DM sounds like a jerk

>Is that suppose to be an Adeptus Mechanicus dude-bro?

Not OP, but I have this

>servo skull

lego best minis

Sure you can: Get a Lego Knight Torso (Which has armor painted on) and equip a lego backpack (multiple variations exist, most common originated from the Pirates line and was equipped on the navy's crewmen)

Whammo: Armor and a backpack.

Make sure you're on BrickLink if you're buying LEGO.

Buying from The LEGO Group without being an employee is practically theft--a very good way to bond with my young cousin, but still theft.

Even with online marketplaces like BrickLink, getting an exact torso, brick, tile, or whatever will still be difficult depending on scarcity.

I wouldn't use lego if no one else was. If the GM and players are all using miniatures, having a toy sitting on the table with them would break immersion for me.

They're all toys kiddo

Holy.... doesn't that count as light armor though?

I have to customize it depending on my inventory.

I've got a month's worth of planning and character creation to do.

Your DM sounds awful.

This.
Seems like he's to obsessed with getting obsolete details right rather than actually playing.

I really want to sculpt minifigures because fuck buying 'em pre-made. I want to throw a VARIETY of enemies at my players, dammit, and I'm sick of just using dice/tokens. Where do I start? Clay seems dodgy, and soap seems fragile.

You know you can take minifigs apart, right

Not even talking about legos, I just want to sculpt miniatures

Sculpting putties (green stuff, etc.)
Generally you bend paper clips into the general shape, then build over that

Go slowly and go in layers
You can always add more material
Taking it off is a hassle, when not outright impossible

If you have spare bits that work, you can add a few before the first or second layer

Am I your DM?

Hasbro would prefer you use Kreo, though

>Not even talking about legos

>I really want to sculpt minifigures
But you can see why people would think that right

Kreo has less customisable characters Michael, you told me that.

yeah, I meant "miniatures" that time. My bad.
