How does it work?

G8 Taste M8

...

...and then I remove the intervening period of time where I told you how it works, while leaving you with an understanding of how it works.

Prog rock makes for great campaigns.

WE ARE THE PRIESTS

Well, user...

... That's honestly a more accurate explanation, in my opinion.

NANI?

>Not one with lyrics from Michael Moorplot
>Not warrior on the edge of time
>Not Chronicle of the black sword
>Not any Hawkwind song

...

>Saxon
>Rhapsody of Fire
>Blind Guardian
>Gaia Epicus
>Bloodbound
>Hammerfall
>3 Inches of Blood
>Lost Horizon
>Demons and Wizards
>Kamelot

...

People might shit on me for this, but's it's the only good Blind Guardian album. It's also one of the best god damn albums I've ever listened to

Kamelot's Trilogy about Ariel and Mephisto
Heavenly's Dust to Dust
Celldweller's Wish Upon a Blackstar
Rhapsody of Fire
The Protomen's Act I and II, and even The Cover Up, if you take certain songs from certain characters' perspectives

Love that album. Queen I is fantastic too.

I'd also suggest the 3 Keeper of the Seven Keys albums by Helloween.

Also:

The Tobes of Hades lit by flickering torchlight
The netherworld is gathered in the glare
Prince By-Tor takes the cavern to the northlight
The sign of Eth is rising in the air
By-Tor – Knight of Darkness,
Centurion of evil – Devil’s Prince

Across the River Styx out of the lamplight
His nemesis is waiting at the gate
The Snow Dog – ermine glowing in the dampnight
Coal black eyes, shimmering with hate
By-Tor and the Snow Dog
Square for battle, let the fray begin…..

The battle over and the dust is clearing
Disciples of the Snow Dog sound the knell
Rejoicing echoes as the dawn is nearing
By-Tor in defeat retreats to Hell
Snow Dog – is victorious
The land of the Overworld is saved again

Something by Blue Oyster Cult.

Something something that isn't nu-metal the thread!

Try "Diablo Swing Orchestra".
Just the right amount of chaos.

i don't care if they're cliche, The Sword is the shit.

I quite like "The Road Goes Ever On" songcycle and Symphony No. 1 "The Lord of the Rings".

Glad I'm not the only one who like Ayreon. The Theory of Everything is my least favorite, and that's still really good.

Not so much the song itself, but I based every Shadowrun Shaman I played off this video.

Is Howard Shore's score approved?

Chris Achilleos even did the cover

Stargazer is practically a campaign by itself.
One where somebody somewhere rolled a very crucial nat 1

The first campaign I ran was based off 'The Court of the Crimson King' (mostly the song but also the album as a whole, and some other King Crimson songs) and other rock and metal music, including a good deal of Dio's stuff. It was pretty fun.

Love that album.
March of the Black Queen especially. Honestly feel it's one of their greatest works.

Ogre Battle is pretty fucking awesome too.

The old album covers were awesome too. I wish we had more stuff like that today.

This thread was a test. It is apparently not off topic, because it wasn't deleted, twice. But I still don't understand why, because other threads with just as little relation to traditional games have been deleted.
Does putting the word "fantasy" in the OP text always make it on topic, 100% of the time absolutely unconditionally no matter what?
>hurr durr you listen to music while playing traditional games
I don't, personally. Some people do, and that's fine, but the music is not the game. I doubt I could get away with posting a thread on Veeky Forums about wearing clothes, or living in a house, or drinking coffee, or using a computer with Windows OS, or any of the things I happen to do at the same time as I play traditional games. Those things are not traditonal games, but music is traditional games? How? Please help me understand.

It means lurk more.

Rulesanon, it's good to see that you've stopped seeing the rest of the board as the problem and acknowledged that this is just the way things work. That's the first step to overcoming your autism.

For the next step, see . You get a sense for what'll get deleted and what won't after a while

Alestorm is always fun. Gets me pumped whenever I'm planning any kind of campaign dealing with pirates or seafaring.

Never thought pirate metal would be a thing I'd be into but here I am.

Conjurers of the old abyss
Mystified the distant serpent's hiss
A spark of life into imagined forms
A spark of faith and a lie is born

Death to the immortal realm
False truths propagate fear
Death to all religion now
And the fools who can't see through the clear
Death to all those who confound
And regress our people as a whole
Death upon this bloodied ground
Sever the hand of His stranglehold

Dark creations from ailing brains
Fiends of falsehood that cannot ascertain
Truth from logic in modern times
Cut the baggage of this profound lie

Only the truth will survive

Death is raining down from the abysmal clouds
Of their minds
Give the apocalypse to the believers now
It's about damn time

There's no life in your false creator

Believers of the lie refuse to see the gain
With their eyes
Slaves lying motionless in broken, bloody chains
It's their own demise

There's no truth at all in dark creations

Related, since their keyboard player is in Gloryhammer as well.

Their second album is better, I think.

I've been here since 2009. This is not a problem that can be solved with more time, because the observed results are logically contradictory and each year only brings more contradictions.

Under the Grey Banner by Dragonland is fucking amazing.

I know this isn't really what you guy's seem to be looking for but I feel it has to be mentioned.

Rick Wakemen- journey to the center of the earth and my personal favorite.
Because of the narroration by Patrick Stewart...

Then just deal with it. Shrug your shoulders, accept that life doesn't make sense, and learn to stop worrying and enjoy the shitposts.

If you honestly can't grasp it after 8 years, you might have a touch of the 'tism, and not the meme kind either

Particulary the live version.

Mein nigga

Looks like you're an autistic ERPer who's having a hissy fit no one likes your shit magical realm threads.

I need to talk to another soul who loves Hawkwind. Master of the Universe is blew my mind the first time I heard it, the live version.

Not posting superior Queen fantasy album.
