You MUST seek help pastebin-autist! This isn't healthy! We were only on page 7 for Christ's sake!

Putting this one up again, I really like it and I want to see other peoples' builds for it.

Version 1.2 is done, and I'm accepting Companion-formatted builds to be put in the NCYOA.

I think he's cute

...

I'm fond of this one

Part 2.
There should be no more little bugs to find.

So one thing i changed between v2 and v3 was the companions, making them more likable and less evil. Is this better than the way they were before?

My build is too long to put up here, it'd require five or six posts. So I'll just put the jist of it and all of my autisic elaboration in a pastebin, like this.

Training: engineering degree
Suit: Industrial Engineer Minnerva Platform
Augs: polymelia, somatic stem platelets, electro-receptic retina
Primary weapon: Electric Arc Conductor
Sidearm: Mag-Rail pistol
Utility weapon: mechanized gloves
Tram dropoff point: Hydroponics
Friends: Tram Specialist Klara, The Flesh Watcher, Officer of the Law John

tl;dr: Dead Space

pastebin.com/WpFmQ3JC

Tell me something, how is a? Korperlos supposed to interact with physical objects?

The unidentified gun seems to be useless against anything inorganic. Would the bone spires not explode after several seconds instead of instantly like it is with organic tissue?

>So one thing i changed between v2 and v3 was the companions, making them more likable and less evil. Is this better than the way they were before?

You wussed out.

>

I wouldn't call it useless, you're still shooting nasty bone spikes. They look like they'd cause problems for at least the lesser robots, even in the worst case scenario that they don't go off if they don't hit flesh.

Markedly less useful, yes, but that's more a case of it being really powerful vs lightly armored organics rather than the bone spikes being particularly crappy projectiles in and of themselves. It's like having a grenade launcher that only kills things in hab suits and other stuff light enough for the secondaries to penetrate, but being able to blow away entire squads in a few good volleys is really strong.

I was just asking if the little shits couldn't cut through anything inorganic for some reason.

I have no idea, man. I would think they might struggle, but not be entirely incapable

I think you should, at the very least, go halvsies.
Some of us want to be weird, misunderstood loners with a heart of (rotting) gold!
Others of us want to be evil as fuck, and take over the world with our skellymans.
Keep a good mix. Don't go grimderp or noblebright.

...

You should make at least one or two dudes in each section evil, as the setting and CYOA itself is pretty dark-grey already. Some people want world domination or a harem of slaves, so you might want to give them companions fitting their ambition.

As other user said, I'd go 50/50, or at least 33/33/33 for good/neutrally grey/evil. For example, I can't find ANY evil characters in the purple companion section right now. Let's see, their motivations and traits are as follows: continue caring about her family; to teach necromancy out of respect of her master; live like a queen; being naive and childlike; see her father again; take a break from reaping and make friends; help the dead; preserve beauty in death; follow the path of good; create an undead utopia; tell chill and humerus puns; make amends for his past; care for the dead; travel and study the art; release dead from the burden.

ARE. YOU. SERIOUS.

Where is my clicheed homicidal maniac who wants to take over the world with his army of darkness? Huh? HUUUUUH?

In the unfinished poster-submitted section.
Get on it user.

Oh, you bet I will. Just you wait for 5 minutes, you goody-two-shoes fleshbag.

>Engineering Degree
>Engineer Minerva
>Probability Reader, Electro-Receptic Retina, Mercury Schematic Input Slot

>Tram Specialist Klara, Old Guard Ezekiel, and Mech Infantry Alise

Good lord this place is busted to shit. You pass out for five minutes, and the ship looks like someone tried to fuse a spaceship with road warrior. It's time to get some shit done.
So many of the "Mechanics" that are around here are shameless hacks who haven't the foggiest idea what they're doing. That changes. I'm gonna fix this shit up, then deal with all of the new company we have.
As a surprising twist, a good chunk of the monsters infesting every corner are desperate enough for someone who can actually fix something instead of just taping it together, that I can pretty much move freely. Sure, there's plenty of wackjobs who don't care and just want shit dead, but whatever. I've got a long-plan to clear out the nasties, but that can wait.
I work mostly with the humans left. Klara, nice gal, I think I knew her grandmother, or maybe it was her mom, I dunno. She gets me through those tunnels faster than a liquid diet through a guy on laxatives. This other guy, Ezekiel, has made it his duty to make sure I fix shit. I think he was supposed to "convince" me, but I don't need convincing to fix clean up this goddamn mess.
Last, one of these "Interlopers" has decided it might be a really good idea if the walls didn't come crashing down around her, sensible gal she is, so keeps me company and not full of bullets when Ezekiel's got something up his ass. I think she might be considering joining us, all things considered, I might help that along by fixin' up her suit. It would be good to have someone like that owe you a major favor.

Frankly, I don't care much about the inner politics, and I've even managed to dig out my own little isolated home from the trashed suite of a jackass who didn't deserve it 60 years ago.

Companion Submission, I don't have an image.

>Imhotep (?)
Reunu Pertemru
Imhotep was improperly preserved, and his brain's a little mushy. He doesn't know who he is, but he's very suggestible. He does have formidable powers in his own right, likely rivaling, if not surpassing your late master, but he will need you to steer for him. If left to his own devices, he flits wildly from one whimsy to the next.

"I forget, did I put my pants on me, or that guy I raised? I feel like he's wearing them. Do I even wear pants?"

Feel free to condense as needed. Just keep the core "Senile old mummy who relies on you for direction" intact.

Years spent walking the bottom of the sea left only his skeleton intact, but in the end he was at the helm again, more terrifying than ever.

>tfw want to do a green book necromancer build just for the "quite pungent, my dear" quote

A couple of questions if you don't mind, does calcify supposed to be some sort of medusa turn to stone death spell or a way to make someone really tough? Are clones inherently loyal or do we need someway of making them so? And can we as Körperlos possess people?

>Law Enforcement

>Riot Squad Pax gear

>Dissassembly nanites
>Electro-Receptic Retina
>Pax Gendarmerie emblem.

>Kinetic Energy Projector
>Station Stun Gun

>Organic Blade

>System Engineer Albina
>Station Outcast Alexei
>Psyaug Timothy

>Bridge

The primary goal is to get as many non-interloper humans off the station as possible. Secondary goal - destroy the station to prevent spreading the contamination.

The bridge offers the most obvious solution - get there, and hopefuly get the security AI under our control. Best case scenario I would be able to move through the place unobstructed and get Albina to the AI, hopefully she'd be able to fix it. Worst case scenario I can't use my clearance to keep her and/or myself completely safe, then this becomes an escort mission to get her to the AI. There we will be able to determine the problem with the security, and hopefully get it to treat the stationeers as friendlies at the very least, and at best use Security forces to take the Hangars by storm and procure ships for the stationeers to evacuate as well as escort them to the Hangars. If such control is impossible and our only option is to completely disable state of emergency then this avenue is failed, and Bridge should be left alone for now.

If Bridge fails, get to Research decks, get as much juicy data and samples as possible, trade those to interlopers for a ship to get stationeers out. (Alternatively - gain an acces to a food processor on Hydroponics and trade that to interlopers). Timothy and my own skills should make this more easy. Best case scenario they allow us to board on hangars, worst case we'll use Mining deck for that. Timothy and Alexei will help securing the foothold there, Albina hopefuly can do something about the vacuum, otherwise we'll need a lot of suits.

Medical Bay is a potential solution, with research and supplies as possible barter material at least and a potential way to control contaminants on massive scale at best. Alexei can make moving through there much easier. If negotiations with Interlopers completely fail and we get a way to control contaminants, we can launch a raid on Hangars, and steal a fitting ship for stationeers while contaminants distract the interlopers.

When stationeers are evacuated, proceed to the bridge to activate self-destruct sequence. If my clearance works at it's best, it's easy. If not, we hopefully can use Timothy and data from Medicals to get us som contaminant meatshields to distract the security. If that does not work either, then it becomes even harder. In any case, if this works and the station is gone this will solve the contamination problem and deride interlopers of their front base. Timothy will like it.

If I can't convince the majority of the people to evacuate, then use any of the options to secure the transport for myself and get the hell away from all these coocoos.

Wait a fucking minute, do you actually have to pick the suit specific aug? I thought you got it by default.

That's my understanding. Otherwise it would just be listed in the suit description.

Not Scientist, but here's something.
>A couple of questions if you don't mind, does calcify supposed to be some sort of medusa turn to stone death spell or a way to make someone really tough?
Judging by the way the description is worded, it sounds like it could be used for both.
>Are clones inherently loyal or do we need someway of making them so?
If you mean the Promraen Caro immortality option, those are inert bodies up until your current body dies, in which case the next clone in the queue is activated.

We're basically the sci-fi protagonist team. I'm going to try to use my police uniform + heightened access level to turn off the state of emergency (probably won't work, but that's how act 1 needs to end anyway), then find a ship to leave the station for good. At the end of the day Isaac will probably have to sacrifice himself in a heroic manner with Ezekiel saying something along the lines of "in the end you were human after all" to allow us to escape. Gonna be a hell of a ride. Now I want a System Shock remake.

Can someone post Jojo again?

The goal? Set myself up as an isolated healer, a miracle worker for the right price. The Skinwalker will lead the willing to my isolated residence, where the day to day business is taken care of by my Groundskeeper and "Slave", who is enhanced with a few spells and not treated as such. Created Life assists with myself and Catherine's work. Slyther is obviously there for defense, but the untamed jungle of this land will be enhanced and controlled by my magic. It will be no small feat reaching me and will require guidance by my skinwalker, who for obvious reasons will retain the utmost discretion

Of course, I'll venture out on my own to nearby cities and villages, but my normal face will never be associated with my work. The issue is that a Count knows of my existence and took it as a slight that I was not able to Alter Age to the degree he wished. Taking it as an insult, he bends his mind and all his resources to find my castle again.

The other issue is the order of Abholean Witches out to sacrifice me, in order to bring back their Old Gods. Little do they know I'm building a knew world of my own, the rooms of my castle slowly filling with new humans, stronger, faster, and more adaptable than anything the world has seen. This isn't a project of death, blood, and bone, but a celebration of life and growth. And soon my people will outgrow this castle, my jungle will outgrow this land.

No rush, though. I want to enjoy Life as it comes.

I agree with . Here is my potential contribution to the cause:

Oh, didn't see his build before I submitted mine. I like his story more.

I like the builder but their really needs to be an Igor style companion for green. I mean if you are making a Frankenstein style monster you need a circus freak to collect fresh body parts and knock out intruders.

Instead of a stand, can I obtain the ability to use Hamon?

someone will have to update the cyoa or make a hammon one

About balancing the unliving creatures maybe they still have biological weakneses like needing to eat or they can get old and feel pain or have weak points live the heart or brain so they are stronger against spiritual attacks but weaker agains fisical attacks?

I planned to but quickly realized how awful of an option it would be. It would ruin the mood of the CYOA.

Alright, let's put a name and face on this motherfucker...

Can I use this to become a cute Lich-girl who keeps her Lichness a secret and pretends to be an ordinary cute girl who never ages and has lots of literal skeletons in her closet?

Felt like giving Buford B. Swift an update.

An accomplished adventurer Buford has many hair raising tales to tell, most of which the Jojo doesn't believe. Shot a werewolf in the ass (not with silver bullets though, had to run like mad after that), thrust his hands in a roaring fire pit to coat them in ash so he could punch a goatman(it may have just been a dude on pcp), and having a shouting match with the Jersey Devil just to name a few. There may be some truth in his tales though as he developed his stand naturally it seems.

After meeting the Jojo of the story Buford is ecstatic. Someone else who sees the aliens! Learning about the quest to find his family Buford decides to help, this mystery is too good to pass up. With his contacts in the field of the paranormal he leads the Jojo on a wild ride involving ghosts, ancient super vampires and a Nuckelavee(which it turns out is an ancient stand bound to an area). While they never find any leads on the Joestars they do meet one of the villains and draw some unwanted attention to themselves.

Later in the story he may be wounded byone of the arrows at which point he gains

It also requires Buford to learn more about chemistry than his professional quality paranormal investigator chemist set has taught him.

Stand User: Senator Martin Luther Brown

Senator Brown is a ruthless politician who always achieves his goals through any means necessary. Some say he would stop at nothing to become the president of the United States of America. All his political opponents were removed from the race or had unfortunate accidents, but due to control of his wife's mass media empire the general public never blamed him. To citizens of US Senator Martin Luther Brown is a model family man, a moderate conservative, a supporter of veterans, and a famous bodybuilder.

He somehow acquired his「Stand」when he was still in college, and used it to further his political agenda and make himself a senator. He uses it dispose of those who would pose a threat to his lifelong Dream.

His「Stand」is almost invisible even to a stand user, as it consists of myriad of minuscule transparent tentacles that are very long and can move extremely fast. Although they lack raw strength, they are razor sharp. Senator uses them to cut invisible holes in human skin and tissue, and burrow inside the body to make small cuts that in time would rip and cause internal bleeding or even organ damage. Doctors won't notice anything unnatural in this cause of death, which is exactly what Senator wants.

With help of archives of his ancestor, he knows about mystical life force known as Hamon and the history of Joestar family. He started extensively training his Hamon techniques from the very young age, and that was a secret of his fantastic strength and constitution. How can JoJo even hope to defeat such a powerful opponent?!

Jean was a junky hoodlum looking for his next fix when his dealer gave him a proposition. Get rid of some chucklefuck muscling in on his territory and he gets a months worth.

Jean took the deal without a second thought.

As time went on he took more and more of those kinds of jobs and something odd happened. He stopped using. Cleared up his head, it did. He only had one passion now; getting away with murder.

Eventually he met a man who offered him another deal that would change his life. Become his personal assassin and receive unimaginable power.

Of course he accepted

His stand appears to be a smiling Buddha made of innumerable human bodies woven together to create its form. It has a single eyes on its face. This eye can be seen in mirrors by those who don't have stand abilities. When a person makes eye contact with 「Dopes to Infinity」
they are shrunk to 1mm in size and transported to a dimension that exists on the stands skin. This environment is incredibly hostile as the humanoid forms lash out at all intruders. The trapped individual is able to escape either by reaching the stand's eye and jumping through it, rendering 「Dopes to Infinity」 blind for a time, or by being picked off it by someone else.

>and I'm accepting Companion-formatted builds to be put in the NCYOA.

Question. If I wanted to have a variable weapon that's a flamethrower would I have to take the dust mods or is just having it be a flamethrower enough?

Companion Build

-Kaspar L. Meyer, Kroveri Haema, Vampire
Nearly 300 years old Kaspar is the most know vampire lord of the area, leading a one of the largest clans and controlling an entire city.
Fighting a bitter war against the church of Mother, for killing his wife and their unborn child, he has sworn to hunt down the whole order.
He constantly seeks allies to join him on his quest, with promises of great power and wealth

If you don't mind being adopted by your parents, I don't think it should be too much of a problem ... Let's see. Combine Lichdom with Promræn Caro's 'Rejuvenate' to cure the decay, 'Gentle Repose' to avoid further decay, then 'Alter Appearance' to become a young girl (again?). 'Alter Age' may not work due to the fact that it has diminishing returns and it needs a lifetime to learn the Arts of Necromancy, but the above will suffice. Have fun with your skeletons!

「Re:Re:」gets 3 extra points, as a Villain's stand.
「Re:Re:」appears as a humanoid figure entirely wrapped in constantly-shifting ticker tape, which it uses as "tentacles" to grab others, as well as manifest its power. In animated format, this is accomplished by one roll waving over the screen, with the picture on it ultimately filling the screen. Right now, its powers are limited to changing the days of the calendar, making it so that the specific "day" it is is in constant flux. Right now, it's at a "National" level of influence, meaning that it can't affect the entire world by changing Christmas, but it can change the days of things like national holidays. Only other Stand users will find this unusual; Ordinary people won't care if they have every day off of work because of constant 4th of July parties, or consider it unusual at all.

It can also rearrange and change the day of the week. This doesn't change any events that have occurred, but it does change what is expected of someone on a certain day: For example, if the JoJo has a Jojob from Monday to Friday and he's out on Sunday, 「Re:Re:」can change the day to Monday so that the JoJo loses a day of work. His boss'll be angry, too, if it happens enough - provided he's not a Stand user as well and can see through it.

Finally, this isn't the end for 「Re:Re:」: It has tremendous development potential, inserting its ticker-tape tendrils into the threads of time, potentially learning to change other things besides the simple days of the calendar. A bizarre power for a very Bizarre adventure.

Alain Parsons is a projectionist for a movie theater in Chicago, and his life has been one large series of disappointments. His parents divorced when he was three, and from then on, the only time he'd ever get to see both of them together was on his birthday. Thus, he would often wish that his birthday lasted forever, or happened every day, or something that'd make that brief slice of happiness last longer.

Of course, growing up in a divided home didn't do wonders for his social life, either. From elementary school onwards, he was a loner - how could he invite people over to his house, only to have them ask where his mom or dad was? Or why he was at a different house every other week?

Finally, in high school, everything broke. Quite literally - On a school trip to the Natural History museum, his mother showed up in an attempt to spirit him away after the trip was done. A scuffle ensued, and in the middle of it, Alain was tossed into a glass case containing examples of Ancient Egyptian weapons - including a very unique arrow, which ended up cutting him deeply.

When he woke up, a strange man stood over him. About as tall as an adult, he had no face - just a mass of ever-shifting movie tapes. He would just「stand」in the room, the doctors and nurses actually passing through him. Alain figured he'd finally cracked and created an imaginary friend, but his perception changed on the next birthday he had. When he made his customary wish for every day to be his birthday, violent tendrils of movie tape shot out from his normally docile friend - and his parents threw him another party the next day.

Thats all for now.

His new power was entertaining for a bit, but it never really impacted his life in the positive way he wanted it to. For example, he repeated his Senior Prom twenty times in an attempt to get a date for at least one of them, and failing every time. He only stopped when he read in the school's newspaper that the PTA was growing upset because of the repeated proms, and worried that there wouldn't be enough money for the graduation party at the end of the year. This eventuality, though, gave him another idea. If he couldn't make his own life better with his power, he could sure as hell make other people's lives shit!

Making them throw parties every day until they ran out of money? Easy! Having them work every day until they collapse? Piece of cake! He loved toying with other people until they broke, and nobody would ever know that it was him! Of course, he had no special skills, and he still needed to support himself. He took a low-skill job ad a projectionist at a theater, and now one of his favorite tricks to play is to repeat the opening day of a movie for weeks to sap people's pockets dry and net himself a nice bonus from all the cash flow into the theater. And he's still learning more things that he and「Re:Re:」can do...

If he gets any hint that someone's onto him, he'll try to stay as far in the background as possible while making their life hell. He can obstruct them with sudden parades, sap their finances and make them lose their job, and target their families to exhaustion. You've got to be willing to give up a lot to beat this guy.

>Gahahahaha-a! Your mother's in the hospital with exhaustion! You've missed so much work, no company in the whole country would consider hiring you! Your friends hate you for blowing them off for months! And you still dare to resist? You might... might just be the one I'll enjoy breaking the most, yet! Gahya!

Isn't there a cap of 30 points on initial minions?

It's funny imagining Paladin of Light, Arch-Lich, Conan the Barbarian, and Priestesses of Cthulhu taking turns to kick your corpse.

A shaman with a deep understanding of the human body. He perverted some of the teachings of his master in the pursuit of knowledge. Roaming through the country, he uses his allies to make some coin on the side both as a healer and through other less reputable means.

Surprised there's no fairy magic.

>Probability Reader, Temporal Contrives, Nox Systems Upgrade
>Interloper Gauss Rifle
>Pressurized Flamer
>Organic Blade

>Hydroponics Deck
>Vigilante Droid Isaac, Station Outcast Alexei, Mech Infantry Alise

If they had just woken me up when the outbreak started, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

Isaac and I function as the precision killers of this four-man squad, with Alexei lending his expertise in eliminating the contaminants and Alise being a big, loud, destructive target.

First and foremost priority, eliminate the contaminant. All of it. Hydroponics is the densest concentration, so we start there. We have expertise and a fuckton of firepower, and my handheld flamer exists solely to purge infested pockets.

The Interlopers can be dealt with, either through literal deals (they want the contaminant threat mitigated as much as anyone), so they can leave me to my business and let me barter extra flamer fuel off them, or through slaughtering them.

Station Security, we'll try to avoid as much as possible; this is where the Nox Vestments really shine. Once the contaminant threat is purged, hopefully the lockdown will lift automatically. If not, we can eliminate the remaining Interlopers, and find some mechanics that can eventually override the core AI and repair the station.

UniGov better give us a goddamn medal for single-handedly purging and recovering an entire station.

Well alrighty then
In a recent thread three anons posted builds and needed an M to create Team DOOM, so I thought this would fit

>Name: Malcolm McCormick
>New arrival [0]
>Beacon Academy
>Semblance: Unstoppable
>Ferocity [10]
>Fear [20]
>Strength [40]
>Energy [60]
Malcolm is a very angry person. While he has no particular reason for his anger, he is incredibly prone to flying into fits of rage and breaking everything in sight, which was made worse by the discovery of his semblance.
After years of trying and failing to quell his anger. Malcolm asked to be enrolled in Beacon Academy in order to find a more positive use for his berserker rage, or perhaps find someone who can help him deal with his anger.
>Variable Weapon [400]
>Dust Mod [450]
>Weight Enhancement [550]
>Additional Form [650]
The "Chain Rule" was designed to help Malcolm tear through as much stuff as possible. It is part chainsaw, part chain-gun, part chainsaw-powered-pocket-bike. While Malcolm prefers to use the chainsaw mode, he is still decently proficient in fighting with the other two modes.
>Scroll [650]
>Rebreather [700]
>Dust Charges (x4) [900]
>Armor [1000]

That is have the waifu by a gender-bend self-insert. It would be awful.

Also, if someone can think of a better name for this guy, please tell me

give me your comfiest cyoa. i'm feeling comfy today

The comfiest CYOAs have been posted time and again, and should be readily available in (one or more of) the archives.

Why don't you provide us with some comfy OC instead? It'd always be nice to have more CYOAs that cater to comfy.

Always

>Chin up chest out (3)
>Vagina (6)
>Same as it ever was (10)
>Cute (13)
That took a whole minute

I for one argue cuddle cyoa is the comfiest cyoa for it's simplistic design. But I will admit that Time Stop Chill Zone trades in much more options for the weird affect that your waifus don't have souls.

i'm actually working on one, but it's not even close to ready yet

thank you

This has always been my favorite comfy CYOA

Agreed, there is too much comfy. Bring out the least comfiest CYOAs!
