It's always someone the players have met, but I am toying with the idea of using it to "introduce" an antagonist who they should be coming across soon. Never used the same character twice. Players seem to enjoy it. After the first few times of doing it they all get on edge about who it's going to be. I will say this, it cuts down on that first hour silliness, that's for sure.
