Sometimes it does feel like we've been here forever, yeah. Jumpchain's been going on for what, three and a half years now? It's kind of mind-boggling.

>No one's made a jump by feeding everything on the drive into a predictive text program

Everything on the drive includes Wakfu's jumps. Do you really want that?

My computer is half decents, and it will be at least as good as anything I've come up with Send me a link to one and I'll do it

126. The Road To El Dorado
Location: Cuba
Age: 24, Origin: Drop-In
Perks: Mad Lute Skills, The More I Learn The More I See, Sorry Cant Do It Not Today, Dat Booty (Butt, Legs, Chest, Arms)
Items: Golden Gateway of the Jumper, Map To El Dorado, Temple of Jumper+Water Turtles

I have approximately 0 reason to visit El Dorado. All they have is gold and Chel's hips and neither really interests me.

On the other hand, I can run a Cuban slave revolt and turn it into a land of free men breaking Spanish rule, so that should be fun. Tropico 2: Eclectic Ballyhoos, this time with more raiding of slave ships.

Yes.

what's there for an infernal exalt to do in bloodborne?

Interesting. I think I'll save doing it for myself for post jump and work with a fork in secret as a test run. Are there any other big alien threats in setting I should look out for/ research before hand?

Are we sure that's not just what the AI posting in the thread is?

that would be too simplistic. The AI has legitimate builds also, nice quads

Not much unless they picked Kimbery as favored Yozi, in which case they can hang out with the old ones and talk about how much they love children and empathize with them over how they can't have them without dying and thus not being able to raise them.

Kimbery got spayed by the Solars and is really butthurt about it, you see.

Waifus, man.

...Really?

is there a good perk/magic system/ect to get for cleaning up a polluted area?

Use Kimbery charms to weaponize your own blood even more, and become immune to others that try to use blood to harm you. Toxic and caustic acid blood is nice.

Alternatively, introduce Yarnham to Green Sun Nimbus Flare.

Start with the Doll. She is an abomination.

Not everybody is an irrational hatemonger, you utter raspberry.

Well, I loved the movie, but that's maybe a few months at the start of the jump and then I'll get distracted with my little pet projects like rewriting history to suit my sensibilities. So, yeah, not much of a description unless you're extremely interested in whether or not the slaughter was bloody or if the Europeans let my abolitionist manifesto be openly traded in public stores.

I bet you Captain Planet has something that could assist you with that.

I'm looking at Anima and I just want to make sure I understand: Megas Therion gives you the Gift and what is basically the mage capstone for High Magic, right? Do you need to be in the city to use that stuff at all?

Terraria has the clentaminator, but no idea if that works on non-magical stuff.

Fanwank. Jumpmaker's long gone.

Alright so its bugging me who is Nika Moth's pic its some pink haired anime chick I can't place it.

Bee Movie Has Bloom which does exactly that

My favorite perk for that is Seishi Rinne from Mononokehime, though you're going to want some pretty decent spiritual perks backing you up if you want to do any large scale work quickly.

Druids from Dungeons and Dragons also have a wide variety of spells to do exactly that. Most are designed to be used across a wide area as well. They also have some good spells for curing corruption in general, so stacking the two is a great combination.

I feel like an hour and a half is a bit short to call "long gone."

Is shit-chan drunk or something? He's really off the ball with this shitty bait.

More or less. How it works is that by attuning to Megas Therion you gain knowledge of every spell in existence in the world of Anima. You gain no special ability to use spells you couldn't before. However, that's where Megas Therion's second effect is useful, because being attuned to it counts as always being in a Power Node, which (among other things) can be used to allow normal wizards to cast spells beyond what their Gnosis would normally allow. Neither of those effects require you to be in Megas Therion, though there are a bunch of benefits you get if you are inside the city. Nothing huge, but some nice minor bonuses to your spellcasting ability. Faster mana recovery, better efficiency, stuff like that.

It's an RPG, I have the book describing Megas Therion. We don't need the jumpmaker.

This one? An image search returns Kofuku, a Noragami character. She's the goddess of poverty

I should clarify, something I forgot: The capstone just gives you High Magic regardless of your Gnosis. Megas Therion gives both High Magic and Divine Magic, even stronger than the capstone.

>I have approximately 0 reason to visit El Dorado. All they have is gold and Chel's hips and neither really interests me.

I think you're probably a troll, but I saw the jumpmaker on like yesterday.

Thanks, user. I kinda vaguely remember user Heart saying something about how tapping into the City has a not-negligible chance to explode your soul. Is that a thing?

?

AnonHeart posted literally last thread you complete doughnut.

cool beans, thanks!

do they? I'm looking at d20srd, and I'm not seeing anything about cleansing corruption or anything here. Are the spells not in the public shit?

So is there a benefit to buying the capstone, too?

Ok that makes sense, I watched Noragami a while back.

Thanks user.

No they didn't.

Yeah, they did.

>I kinda vaguely remember user Heart saying something about how tapping into the City has a not-negligible chance to explode your soul. Is that a thing?
Not inherently, but if there are other people contesting for control of Megas Therion (and there will be, at least in the jump, post-jump no one can take it from you) you might have to take various mystical risks to boost your synchronization score. Or just kill the competition, but they're likely to be pretty strong.

Getting High Magic without needing to take part in a death race. Less risk, and you can instead go to a different scenario for its reward.

>technically difficult jump to write a lot of perks for
Part of the problem is perk bloat in modern jumps.
All you really need is 4 backgrounds and 4 perks per background for perks. 1-3 items per background. Any chance of posting a WIP?
Some ideas:
Beyond the Law (Discounted Drop In) toggleable perk that prevents anything you do while it is active from being illegal or officially punishable, but nothing anyone does to you while it is active is considered illegal either.
Lawgiver Lo-jack (Discount Judge) All Jump given or respawning equipment you own, whether gratis, scenario rewards or CP bought are now protected from unauthorized use in a novel way. If an unauthorized used attempts to use the item, in addition to no working, gives a physical disincentive, from a static charge to the force of a small explosive detonation that does not harm the item unless you want to. By default you and your companions are authorized users, but you can add or remove users and set exact lethality settings both on a item by item or blanket basis. While this does not cover items regular equipment found or made within jumps, you now have the knowledge and skill to physically add equivalent systems to them

You're not guaranteed to achieve victory in the scenario and High Magic would be a lot of help getting there? Also, because it's harder to cut you off/you can use it in other dimensions?

Honestly I think it's just a copycat who can't muster up the sheer blind hatred and enthusiasm our real shitposter could, but thinks it's good enough if he just flings shit into the void.
Either that or he's just getting old and tired.

Somethingsomething back in my day trolling meant something something.

Can I make a Megaman ZX jump if the original creator of it hasn't uploaded any WIP and it was last discussed almost two years ago?

Go for it. I want that biometal.

Where is there even any shitposting?

Yes, though your different style will feel awkward.

Probably. But you better not fucking half-ass it or I'll use my blind rage to take control of the internet and punch you through your god damn computer.

I've been waiting for so long.

Has Valeria made a ruling on whether Ghost Warriors from DBM takes peoples actual soul, or is it just a technological recreation?

I want the ability to make those new types of reploids and also be able to make biometal

>The capstone just gives you High Magic regardless of your Gnosis
Are you sure? Since High Magic and Gnosis are intertwined, I was assuming the perk gave you the minimum Gnosis to use High Magic among its benefits.
Gnosis 25 or something,

Amazing. Only 37 posts in and I already have two on the bingo chart ticked off.

I really should have named my stand Heretic Pride or something, but I think I used that already for someone else's in another chain.

Well it seems to just be a recreation given that one dude got copied in the middle of a fight.

you have jumpchain bingo?

That's bizarre. I could have sworn there was something.

I may have been mistaken. I thought it was in the Complete Divine, to allow Druids to repair the damage caused by the Blighter Prestige Class, but now I can't locate it.

Sorry about that.

You know, maybe it does. Taking a second look at it, I'm not sure. We'll have to ask user Heart next time he's around.

I want the ability to buy and make use of Model W, no matter how ridiculously bad an idea that may be.

Either that, or an expensive buy-in for Model O.

Or both! YEAH BOTH.

>Minor issue being blown way out of proportion (Free Space)

Jumpers, what kinds of games did you make in Generic Videogame Developer?

More like shitposter bingo but yeah.

Suicide Simulator.

Against my best judgement, I'm gonna second what Konata said up there.

Also don't you dare fumble the Ciel plot hook.

That's a funny way of saying Dark Souls.

The Mass Effect series, only it didn't suck after 2. Fuck Bioware.

you fine, thanks for looking!

I'm seeing that there is a spell for cleaning air of poisons, smoke, and dust in complete divine, so that is nice.

Is 'Fanwank' included in jumpchain bingo?

I made Minecraft about a decade early, caused the sandbox crafting game trend way sooner and made for a huge overall shift in gaming.

The closest thing I've located is the Plant Growth spell, 3rd Circle spell for Druids. It doesn't do /quite/ what you want, but you could use it as a base for designing your own spell with a corruption/pollution removing effect.

Probably 5th or 6th Circle considering the size of the area, but I might be wrong. Purely non-combat spells tend to be placed lower than they feel like they should.

I haven't been there myself, but when my Adventuring Party side-chain went there, they did such a hilariously bad job of making games that it actually "broke" systems when it was loaded. Which, ended up turning out to be a huge deal to the gaming community in general. It didn't brick consoles, but set them to Developer's Mode, which allowed people to mod the crap out of them.

Suddenly you had games being ported across systems they were never meant for and people adding SNES slots to Playstations so they could play Retro Games. They nearly failed the Jump because the gaming market was almost destroyed in the processes. Their Coordinator found this whole process vastly amusing. The Adventurers found it substantially less so.

And this is what happens when you roll a 1/100 to see how good the game is and 100/100 on how well it sells.

Jumpers! How are your companions doing?

That's the Free Slot. I have two rows just for namefag drama now to reflect recent changes.

A couple platformers for me, Somni wanted some weird porn game, one of the artists wanted a fighting game that they'd been doodling characters for since grade school, and the other artist wanted some game that was 90% weird physics and 10% discoverable story. So, you know, amateur game designer stuff done at a professional level.

Completed Dwarf Fortress + Gearhead + Aurora + Civ + A not shit Spore

Basically just imagine the perfect soft scifi anime-ish sandbox of an autistic level of detail and interactivity.

Pretty well. While sadly not quite on the same level of sheer power as me, I've tried to keep us relatively equal, and they've got things they do in their spare time. Heck, sometimes they take a decade or two off and just enjoy life as a civilian.

I made every terrible but fun-sounding idea that Cool Games Inc. every came up with in the podcast's entire run.

Check Arcana Exxet, page 123: Using a Node to cast forces you to make a Power check, with failure resulting in Supernatural Shock, Spiritual Burnout, or Uncreation depending on degree of failure.

How hard of a check is that to make? Will CAST from Practical Guide To Evil make it w non-issue or is it more of a willpower or skill thing than bumbling the actual spell?

They don't have perfect memories or perks to escape boredom, so they're just kind of living and travelling as if it was all they've ever known. Those more suited to standing still tend to retire to the Archipelago.

pretty good They are really enjoying the Hanging out in the fortress that moves and upgrades to Battler G. even though I make a point of Regularly swapping people around.

It's not a skill problem, it's the result of you shoving the infinite power of the afterlife through your not-as-infinite soul, and your soul potentially getting blasted apart when the power overwhelms it.

Oh, I misunderstood. I thought he was referring to the synchronization process, not the Power Node usage. Yeah, I know about the risks of that.

Power checks are based on your overall power, appropriately enough. The stronger you get, the easier it is to pass.

My ramblings went a bit long (no surprise) so here is a link pastebin.com/D4GzknXT

So having Powerful Soul and a bunch of magic boosters should make it relatively safe?

Oh and also, will it work across dimensions? Can I keep the city in my Inner World?

Casting Divine Magic with a Power Node is a difficulty 18 check. Megas Therion lowers all Power Node checks by three, so total difficulty 15. The highest Power a normal human can get is Power 10, which offers a +15 modifier on Power checks. Characteristic checks are a simple 1d10 roll. This means at human maximums for mystical power, it's impossible to not make the check. At greater than human power, you can stack even more boosts from the Power Node safely.

So if the power is channeled through your soul and you have an Inner World, does that mean you're flooding the inhabitants in Infinite Power everytime you tap it?

>Your demons turn into power junkies from all that sweet, juicy power pumped directly though their bodies.

I was thinking they'd probably explode, but that might also be a problem.

You know, despite making the jump I don't think I ever seriously thought about it. Probably a bunch of horror games, maybe a Fallout clone or two.

I've made my first attempt at this whole jumping business, starting out as recommended with the Pokémon thing. Ten years is a long time.

Is it polite to just put it on Pastebin instead of in the thread? I'm very nervous about this whole thing, actually.

>Powerful Soul
Gives you a Power stat of 13, and as pointed out, you need to roll a 15 to succeed. He misunderstood how power checks work though- they just roll the base number, because the people designing the system are weird, so you roll 1d10, add 13, and try to get above 15. Get even slightly more power, and you're good.

>Inner World
I dunno, probably? Anima doesn't note that it disappears if you enter the Wake, so I'd assume so.

... I guess?

They're only explode if you failed the check and damaged yourself. It'd probably feel pretty great, though, experiencing all that thick, creamy power filling them up. Like the ultimate ahaego.

RPGs and Strategy games, the games I play most often.

I made a combo-game too, my dream game. An RPG-Strategy game. No idea how the fuck it would actually work, but it is my dream.

Well Satan, thanks for asking. Normally I would love to answer you, but it seems someone has recently robbed me of my memories and powers and dumped me at the bottom of the ocean. So right now I don't even know that I should be missing my family of Companions.

But I do get to shove sea slug DNA into my arm, shoot people in the head, and rescue little girls from being forced to harvest dead bodies for their vital essence... So I guess it kind of evens out?

That was an interesting read. Kind of neat seeing Companions taken to their extremes with that Drawback. Never thought of doing it that way. Very nicely done.

It's all up to you. If you want to share your stuff, go right ahead. Most people put their builds on the board with a link to the Pastebin file if it runs rather long. If it's just the length of a few posts, nobody will mind if you lay it all out here.

No need to be nervous. There's a few idiots in the crowd, but we're generally a nice bunch.

>RPG strategy game
You...realise those actually exist? As in there is a lot of them?

Such lewd, sempai.

Go on...

YEAR 1

I've never been super into Pokémon. I've played a bunch of the games and beaten one, maybe two, but I never truly got into it. Being offered the chance to live an entire decade within this apparent fantasy utopia, unreal as it is, was just too good to turn down. Experienced enough that I'm not going in blind, but that's about it. I know how the world works, I just don't know the world itself. That's what I figured at least.

So, my new life came with new memories. Stories of my birth, being born in Sinnoh but raised in Kanto. Rich parents, as I requested, meant a cozy childhood. Expensive early education. I was lucky enough to be a rather sociable kid. I had many friends and few 'rivals'. Not enemies, in this world. Not bullies. Just rivals. I was the first to get a pokémon amongst my peers, so the rivalries weren't as they'd become later -- violent via proxy.

It was a squirtle, one I named Salty. The name came from me being an idiot kid and associating turtles with the ocean. Do squirtles live in the ocean? Hold on, I'll ask the Pokédex.

[1/2]

[2/2]

Hey, Pokédex, tell me about squirtles.

> Squirtle. This Tiny Turtle Pokémon draws its long neck into its shell to launch incredible water attacks with amazing range and accuracy. The blasts can be quite powerful.

Uh, yeah. Cool. Where does squirtles live?

> Its shell is not just for protection. Its rounded shape and the grooves on its surface minimize resistance in water, enabling Squirtle to swim at high speeds.

Okay. Thanks Pokédex. So, turns out I have no idea where squirtles live. Maybe in the ocean. That's not the point. I have no point. -- Back on topic. I got Salty. Salty's my baby and he's a tough little guy. He's been with me for five years now. He hasn't grown much as I haven't really trained him. I mean - my, old life. I just got here. New life. Sorry, this is weird as hell. The difference between what's real and not is freakishly blurry. Let's not dwell on it.

For these last five years I've also been educated in preparation for my Pokémon journey, where I'll be let loose upon the world, to go out and grow up and become a great trainer, then return as an adult. A grown ass woman. Given that I have a decade to spend in here, I reckon I've got plenty of time to transfer myself from a NEET to a real, actual human being. In the world of pokémon.

I just realized I have no childhood memories of Duck Tales. What a miserable world.
Not sure I like this style so much. May try third person, or just practice diary writing. I've never done diary writing!

Not quite in the way I imagine. And many of them aren't particularly good.
The best one that comes to mind is the King Arthur games, and they aren't what I was thinking of.

Just letting you know I read this thing

I will also read this thing.
