Well, if you add in all the variants from Dark Heresy, there are some sisters (Not Of Battle, of course) who specifically move in social circles to encourage orthodoxy among nobles and other influential people. Kind of an inquisition-lite, with a velvet fist. I could see them occasionally trying to arrange marriages between sisters and heirs to keep the next generation of nobles on the straight and narrow.

But since it was MEN under arms they only kept the female warriors and all of their iconography, heraldry and armor designs makes it a point to show that they are female.
Female Imperial Guard soldiers use standard armor, but the Sisters wear BoobPlates, it is made that way on purpose to emphasize that they are women.
