Sorry but they do. They call them 'two brand new armies'. At this stage you can fucking just have a Marine with a slightly different shoulder pad and that will get its own codex, weapons, vehicles and become a new army too.

Y'know, back in 5th edition when I started playing, I thought the codices should be arranged thusly: Imperium, Chaos, Ancients, and Xenos. And I had organized the factions EXACTLY according to the scheme above. "Ancients" was for Eldar and Necrons, Xenos for all other Xenos. Made sense to me, at least.

Anyway you can call out fake and gay now if you want, but I swear I had this exact same idea in 5th edition.

I'm an engineer, and of the two it actually seems to be the less likely to result in the thrust impulse flipping the poor sap using it into the mud. By mounting the jets higher, above the spine, the direction of thrust is closer to straight through the center of mass; thus, torque is reduced, making the system more controllable.

Where were you promised this? Everyone and their mother knew that GW wasn't getting rid of codices since they make battletomes for AoS. The only assumption was that, like AoS, the rules for the game itself and every unit would be free. However looking at the FAQ again it says only the core game rules will be free, nothing about the rules for armies.

My guess is that they snapfit because they're going to try and aim as close as they can to $100 for the box even considering the size of the models and the apparent fact that the rulebook is a 280 page hardback.
