Venerable: This order was founded in or around the Time of Three Emperors, an age of political instability when the great city-states rose to prominence, the province of Solland was crushed beneath the feet of greenskin hordes, and righteous Crusades were persecuted against Araby.

We old as balls.

Roll d100 forour religious affiliation.

I see, so we are old indeed.

What is the order’s religious affiliation? (1d100)

You wanna try again?

different user rolling for my order
dice+d100

what I meant was dice+1d100

Rolled 14 (1d100)

what I meant was

>Secular Order: This order pledges itself to no god in particular, and its members can worship as they please

How strong is the order in terms of manpower? (1d100)

Rolled 21 (1d100)

>Small: Around a hundred knights, with both personal and order-retained servants

How is the order’s strength distributed throughout the Empire? (1d100)

Rolled 85 (1d100)

>Garrisoned: The fortresses maintained by the Elector Counts keep a constant vigil over the Empire’s heartlands. Here the order’s knights are stationed, alongside the more common soldiery

In which province is the order based? (1d100)

Rolled 93 (1d100)

>Hochland

Alright, so we're an old, small order based in Hochland's fortresses. Seems pretty humble for a group of knights so venerable. Let us continue.

Which knightly virtue does the order hold highest? (1d100)

Rolled 8 (1d100)

Maybe we've lost much of our power over the years?

>Chivalry: Use your own power to protect the innocent, and always strive to defend those who cannot do so themselves

What are the order’s favored battle tactics and military doctrines? (1d100)

Rolled 74 (1d100)

>Iron Discipline: Hours upon hours of brutal drill have turned the order into a well-oiled fighting machine. Each knight works in perfect cohesion with those around him, and responds to commands as quickly as if he had thought of them himself

Who was the order’s greatest hero? (1d100)

Rolled 38 (1d100)

So, there aren't many of us, but when we DO gather, shit gets done. Excellent.

>A grandmaster of the order whose strength and sound council proved a saving grace for his allies in their hour of need

How far afield has the order ever traveled for war? (1d100)

Rolled 25 (1d100)

rolling

hopefully far

>The order has gone to Bretonnia, probably to take part in one of their errantry wars

Not very far. In any case, we are an order that values chivalry and discipline. A bunch of stiffs, in other words. We have supported Bretonnia, who like chivalry also; perhaps earning their esteem through the actions of our distant grandmaster.

Who is the order's most trusted ally? (1d100)

Rolled 38 (1d100)

>One of the Colleges of Magic

Who is the order's most hated enemy? (1d100)

Please be elves

Rolled 26 (1d100)

forgot to roll

Rolled 1 (1d100)

>A powerful sorcerer or necromancer

To whom, or what, has the order’s grandmaster pledged its service? (1d100)

Rolled 10 (1d100)

Come on Vlad....

...

>The local Elector Count (including Karl Franz)

How does the order appear in the eyes of others within the Empire? (1d100)

Rolled 19 (1d100)

So we are well intergrated...

>Soldier’s Grace: The knights are not particularly concerned with showing themselves off. They beat humble marches, and sing whatever tunes they feel like

Alright so, we are friends of mages and enemies of sorcerers. We are not too full of ourselves, which is probably for the best, considering we serve at the pleasure of the Hochland Elector just like any other soldiers.

How wealthy is the order? (1d100)

Rolled 29 (1d100)

So we're bros. Good thing, since there's apparently one or two of us in every fortress in the Empire.

>Humble: The order’s coffers are full enough to allow its members to do their job and live in relative comfort, but little else beyond that

We are in some or all of the fortresses in Hochland, not the whole Empire.

How prevalent are monstrous mounts (such as demigryphs) within the order? (1d100)

Rolled 35 (1d100)

No wonder we're fine with the common man. WE'RE BROKE.

>Rare: A chosen few from the inner circle go to battle astride monstrous mounts

What is the most venerated relic in the order’s possession? (1d100)

Rolled 84 (1d100)

i m definetly getting an old knight vibe here, like the one from dunk&egg, a once famous and powerful order past their glory days, still remembered by old enemies and friends

>A priceless token of appreciation gifted from the order’s ally

With which heraldic sigil does the order represent itself? (1d100)

Guys, how about a order of down on their luck knights that are being paid by High elves to act as spies?

That seems, kind of random, and certainly not what was rolled.

Think about it.
>ancient down on their luck order.
>is present everywhere in the empire
>keep a low profile but has access to nearly every fortress
>no religious zeal
>small numbers.

Their military quality would be dubious but they would be perfect spies.

The knights are present in some of the fortresses of a single Empire province. Not even in the cities or towns, where spying would be most useful.

Rolled 69 (1d100)

let s stick to whats rolled and fluff more from there

military installations are pretty useful for spies
I was reading too much total warhammer 2 info, and elves have a pretty good spying mechanic

sorry, I got too excited.
anyone got the tables?

>A Religious Image, such as Morr’s hourglass or the twin-tailed comet, shows devotion (Reroll if the order is Secular)

With which heraldic sigil does the order represent itself? (1d100)

Rolled 87 (1d100)

>The Scourge can be given two meanings: The will to endure great suffering, or the will to inflict it upon others

And with that, we are finished. So here’s the roll summary.

Age: Venerable
Religion: Secular
Manpower: Small
Distribution: Garrisoned
Province: Hochland

Virtue: Chivalry
Doctrine: Iron Discipline
Hero: Grandmaster
Campaign: Bretonnia

Ally: College of Magic
Enemy: Sorcerer or Necromancer
Service: Elector Count
Appearance: Soldier’s Grace

Wealth: Humble
Monstrous Mounts: Rare
Relic: Token of Appreciation
Sigil: The Scourge

We still have to decide on various things, like a name, and which college of magic we're friends with, and what token they gave us that we care so much about. After that, the fluffwriting may commence.

maybe amethyst? we teamed up to kill some necromancer and the death mages were happy we didnt lump them in with the necromancers and we became friends?

That's pretty good. Any objections?

Can these knights be something like the schwartze reiters?
They have low numbers so they would fight with blackpowder weapons instead of charging in headlong.

Empire already has pistoliers and outriders to fill that roll.

but no proper knights that do that, Outriders and pistoliers just skirmish. I was talking more about using black powder and then charging in with cold steel. Thematically it would make sense because the knights are iron disciplined and doing rapid cavalry tactics requires a high level of drilling. They are secular so they don't have anything against black powder.

They are in hochland which is famous for it's handgunners. They don't have monstrous mounts to rip and tear their foes so they make do with blackpowder, which is similar to how the empire survives.

Alright, anyone have any objections to this?

bump

Meh. I'd like to think they fight in the old ways, because their order is so old.
