Why haven't you played a tiefling yet? Come on, it can't be that bad, can it be?

Because playing a tiefling is like playing an aasimir and is asking for sue shennaningans

>Starfinder
>Only four male deities revealed so far; one evil deity, one "trapped in the past" deity, one aggressive Conqueror deity and one asshole money-grubbing deity. Three Neutrals, one Evil
>Numerous female deities with many of them being Good, from the Goddess of First Contact to the Goddess of Good to the Goddess of Righteous Rule. Only one or two evils out of 10 deities.
>Castroval is a genderfluid matriarchy and described as a utopian paradise of peace and plenty
>No male humanoid Iconics
>The only humanoid male explicitly rejected his masculinity, good for xer.
>No white males shown at all, after months and months of information coming out

PAIZO YES

Because people think all tieflings have huge dicks and ignore everything else about the character. Even the girls.
ESPECIALLY the girls, apparently.

Which class makes a good switch hitter? Can switch hitters even be decent? Is it better to just focus on one avenue?

I mean a Magus is both zap zap and shank shank but a pure fighter will always hit better and a wizard will always zap better right?

Living Legend Soulknife is a decent switch-hitter.
But really, in PF, switch-hitting is asking to be suboptimal, as specialisation is the name of the game.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA EXHACK UPDATE YOUR SHIT

This is true in basically every system; switch hitters have always relied on their versatility and lack of any obvious weakness to make it work. A Fighter gets shut down when something has DR20/ Magical Fire or something and a Wizard just stops functioning within an AMF, but a Magus can make both work.

>I mean a Magus is both zap zap and shank shank but a pure fighter will always hit better and a wizard will always zap better right?

A magus is pure zap shank and will fall apart the second that fails to be relevant. Insert long, autistic rant about the magus here.

>running out of things to complain about: the post

>ignoring facts

>If I ignore their racism and sexism, it will go away!

Have to admit. Does kinda suck. I'm getting a Kindle and may just cancel my preorder of the rulebook to deny them money and download pdf.

If was was to look at 1pp, is Ranger a good pick? Or maybe Slayer?

So are you guys saying that what Magus lacks in specialty, they make up for flexibility right? Could the same be said of a switch hitter? If you already have a front line fighter and a ranged guy, would a switch hitter be a good supplement?

Definitely Ranger of those two. Ranged sneak attacks are a pain and a half to get working, so much that you'll have to devote pretty much all of your resources to that alone if you want to do ranged shenanigans as a Slayer.

>>So are you guys saying that what Magus lacks in specialty, they make up for flexibility right?
In theory.

>So are you guys saying that what Magus lacks in specialty, they make up for flexibility right?
>Magus
>Flexibility
If that's how you call using Shocking Grasp all day every day as literally every single of your spell slots, sure.

Shocking Grasp takes up a lot of the 1st level spell slots I admit but you still have the other level spell slots. If you have magical lineage and intensified spell you can get upgrades shocking grasp for level 1 still. That frees up more of your other spell slots. If you get pearls of power you can then free up some of your level 1 spell slots. Don't forget you can always use some cheeky arcane mark to get spell combat off.

I prefer Brand over Arcane Mark as it feels less dirty.

You know, even if you ignored everything that user was complaining about, the setting would still be a dry space fantasy padded out with literal copy+pastes of Pathfinder.

Abadar's megacorporation is literally called AbadarCorp.

You know, I never have this problem. Probably because I use my spell combat for crowd control and mass assault instead of extra damage agaisnt a single target.

I think that Veeky Forums has tunnel vision about how magus is capable of working.

Brand? How do you get Brand for the Magus? I had to use Spell Blending just to get Touch of Fatigue.

I would do this to but I am running a Bladebound Kensai with limited spells. So I kind of have to focus on the Shocking Grasps. Then again as I mentioned before, , I got Pearls of Power to help me now.

>Brand? How do you get Brand for the Magus? I had to use Spell Blending just to get Touch of Fatigue.
Hexcrafter.

Hexcrafter adds all curse spells to his spellbook automatically, and there are a LOT of curse spells. And he gets to use spellstriken with curses despite their ranges.

PS: If you didn't take close range arcana, you're an idiot.

My problem personally is how ubiquitous the "Dervish Dancer with Intensified Shocking Grasp+Metamagic Trait(s)" build is and how there's 0 fucking support for anything else. Sure, you CAN do things besides shocking grasp and there's lots of cool shit to do with your spell list... But at the end of the day, you're still at best a slight variation on the exact same cookie cutter build that can't even pretend to have variations.

Armor and Pool Enhancement progressions need to be altered so you had more control over it, and a "burn a pool point/spell slot for [CL]d6 touch attack of any energy type you want" should have been a core feature instead of only having shocking grasp.

I missed the part were Hexcrafter gets you all spells with the Curse descriptor. I thought that Hexcrafter just got you Witch spells and stuff. So when I looked at Brand all I saw was the Inquisitor.

If it was (SP) instead of (SU) they probably would have done that, but the lack of AoO and dispels agaisnt pool strikes is pretty good since it's (Su).

I deifntiely agree with the Arcane Pool enhancements though.

Unironically a Legendary Kineticist with Kinetic Blade and Weapon Finesse. You'll have oodles of HP, be pretty dang hard to hit if you pump Dexterity, if you pick a good elemental defense you can stack a miss chance, DR, or even MORE hp on top of that, and your kinetic blade will be doing reasonable damage as it scales upwards with level.

If your GM allows the "big three" Kineticist 3pp stuff (from DSP, Legendary Games, and KoP) you can cheese this even harder. Take one of those traits to count as another creature type (i.e any that qualifies you for Altered Life), pick up Altered Life, Mind Afire, Weapon Finesse, and then Flashy Finesse. It's four feats but you now have CHA to HP, to-hit, and to-damage with your kinetic blast. Adding Unnatural Resilience and Steadfast Personality is just icing on the cake for it. It's pretty much all of your feats until level 7-9 but it is entertaining to theorycraft it

If you're not interested in Hexcrafter for some reason or want to play with an archetype that's incompatible with it, but still want Brand, there's always the Two-Worlds Magic trait that lets you pick a cantrip from another class' list and add it to your own list.

Another Unchained Magus homebrew y/n?

And here you see how Tome-Smiter came to be

So what happened to the magic school + magical girls game?

Is it happening?

Is it already bamboozle?

What is dead may never die.

Pool Strike's progression is garbage, its cost is garbage, its followup arcana are garbage (and too expensive to use), and since it's not baked into the class by default there's literally no reason to ever bother with it. Switching it to being a (sp) ability that acts completely like a spell would be a small price to pay if it meant it could be buffed in such a way as to unseat Shocking Grasp's monopoly on basic offensive options.

Another Unchained Magus homebrew y/n?
If you want to go for it, sure, though an UMagus should probably end up with a similar direction as Unchained Monk. If I had the time, I probably try my hand at something, but alas.

Tome Smiter had a good idea with its smite ability, but was an abysmal clusterfuck of conflicting ideas and execution.

pastebin.com/Y7JhzfYA

Oh yeah I agree 100%. I'm never using Golarionverse for Starfinder. I'm hoping the setting isn't too integrated with the rules since I'd want to do something that's less "fantasy races transplanted IN SPACE" and more something like Destiny I guess.

>Expecting anything more from Pazio.

>their racism and sexism

I like how no white guys equals racism AND sexism to this babby

...

>conflicting ideas
Nigga what the fuck are you talking about? All it does is smite and have Grimoire Weiss to make up for an int class becoming a cha class

There's nothing else in the archetype

I think people are getting kind of tired of people saying, "the lack of white guys is okay because the party are supposed to be the white guys."

>not going all the way and REJECTING HIS HUMANITY

To a large degree this is true. That's why APs aren't normally written with strong attractive male characters. Betamax players would fear getting cucked.

Is this thread daijoubu?

>Implying most of the women in Starfinder aren't going to be lesbians or alt-girls with undercuts and sleazy tattoos

Are there feats similar to the Horrifying Mind trait where attempting to read your mind can backfire?

Two-Worlds trait seems very good but I keep leaning towards Magical Lineage as a better pick. It sucks you cannot pick both.

We still have a currency, so isn't it just gay space capitalism?

...What is this?

>Implying there's anything wrong with fucking a sleazy, filthy club slut

It's alright. Daijoubu.

youtube.com/watch?v=Kpr460TaMrA

That's how you get diseases and die.

>Implying you aren't using protection
>Implying STDs are a thing in the musky, sweaty matriarchal future of Starfinder

Gosh user, be more sex-positive!

The STD's of the future have been genetically modified. It is a bleak future...

uh-huh, and what about space AIDS? the physiology of golarion races wouldn't stand a chance against extraterrestrial diseases. It'd be like small pox all over again

In the future sexually transmitted vaccines will be a thing, because there's no other way of preventing anti-vaxers from having children.

Anti-vaxer's offspring won't last long enough to reproduce.

Life (and stupidity) finds a way.

>Oras
>Agent of Change – CN god of adaptation, evolution, and natural selection

Where does he fit into this? The Deity of DNA should support vaccines as much as the diseases they're fighting developing resistance.

RULES OF NATURE JACK

Yeah but what about the creatures who develop resistances to them. Rules of nature

Clearly the only way to fix this is virtual sex, just hook up the two lovers into a virtual reality sex dungeon and let them go at it.

>Sundowner is an Agent of Oras

KIDS ARE CRUEL

Reminder that only meme apps will make it into Ensoulment.

If people aren't talking about your character, it's hopeless.

Nah, Sundowner is a paladin of Oras.

Reminder to talk about everyone's ensoulment characters!

Burn in hell

If you talk about my Ensoulment character we're not friends anymore.

You know they won't. Heck, -you- don't. Who are you to talk about discussing people's characters when you won't yourself? The status quo is king and that's the way it's going to be.

Please do talk about mine.
I won't tell you which one.

>Protagonist deleted the Applications thread

YAMERO

Unfortunately, user, for all of their talk about shaming those who self-shill, the /pgg/lets here won't so much as give you the time of day if you don't shill your character. The most you'll get is a brief acknowledgement, maybe getting included in one of those roundups, and that's that.

the number of apps to speak of in detail is beyond the attention span of this general. Let them harp on the few while other people put out quality apps. It only makes later upsets all the sweeter.

Let's turn these frowns upside down! Tell me all about the character you're planning to make for Wrath of the Righteous, or indeed any characters you've made for Wrath of the Righteous in the past! What happened to any campaigns you've played in the Worldwound? What did your character do when they walked away from The Threshold as a god(dess)-in-flesh?

mythic is such unbalanced bullshit that removes all sense of threat because action economy abuse and wildly overpowered options that don't give mythic enemies the space to react.

It makes the rocket tag of pathfinder into super-omega-nuke tag and fails to deliver on what you wanted from the ruleset, narrative power.

Martials just hit harder, casters just invalidate more of the world with spells. No ability to perform herculean tasks with your might or steal the color out of someone's eyes.

Did he? Is Ensoulment officially bamboozle?

No. Everything is still there.

>tfw no pirate campaigns

What is with all the h8rz?

You really need to stop expecting the ruleset to cover everything and go for more rules-light systems that offer the flexibility to do whatever you want.

Unicorn is disgusting. What poor son of a bitch would have this as their theme.

Hey, fuck you, mate.

>Fucking Halae has made one
>mfw its actually decent
FUCK!! Now I have mixed feelings of being frustrated and impressed.

Though I guess with both characters being from different orders and fulfilling different roles, it could probably still work.

Fuck off, Halae. You already shot yourself in the foot self-shilling Mouse, learn from your mistake!

don't pull a Rory

Isn't there a Cavalier Order that would be perfect for a Hellknight Pikeman? Something something Order of the Pike?

Someone should make Feanor, or another suitably crafting-focused character to take advantage of the fact they'll swiftly become the greatest Smith who's ever lived!

Broodie's WotR app may be a fuccboi

But he's kinda cute.

Okay, so, Scarlet Throne or Iron Tortoise? Playing a Noble-turned-Crusader, and I'm primarily wielding a Longsword, with the occasionaly Longbow as back-up.

Or should I go full ham and make it Thrashing Dragon. I wanted to try and avoid this because I'm playing a half-drow and didn't want people to throw allegations of ripping off Drizz't

So, a Bard?
