Veeky Forums OST Track 37: SAN Loss
youtube.com
This is the most D&D song I know.
youtu.be
This is crazy shit, thanks for posting it.
For basically ANY cyberpunk.
It's not music, but it should be on the soundtrack regardless.
FORTUNE FAVOURS THE CHAMPION
Denis Leary epic ode, Asshole
Probably anything by Alestorm for cheesy pirate songs.

Also suitable.
I always loved this one. Goes well for Sword & Sorcery, at the beginning or the end of an adventure.

Dare to be stupid
Without a doubt, Redbook audio tracks from Mechwarrior 2. While the synths sound pretty dated by our standards, combined with the eerie landscapes of the game, the soundtrack did a fantastic job of combining a tribal feel with an eerie array of alien sounds. I haven't heard a soundtrack that did such a good job of conveying that sort of feeling.
A more modernized style can be found done by Timothy Seals, but in trying to sound modern first and foremost, sometimes he ends up taking a step backwards and stripping the songs of their eeriness.
Actually used the Kinect Star Wars songs if my players wanted to hear the radio while they were travelling.

If that doesn't get you fucking fired up to play some classic sword and sorcery RPGs, then you must have brain damage.

> What songs would you include in the Veeky Forums Soundtrack?
As in, a meme album made by Veeky Forums for Veeky Forums?
I guess it go somewhat like this:
1. Be Aggressive - Baby Cakes (youtube.com
2. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen (youtube.com
3. Gamers - Leslie Fish (youtube.com
4. Weird Al - White and Nerdy - (youtube.com
6. AllInAll - The Wave Most Surfed (youtube.com
6. AllInAll - Nerevar Rising [Surf Version] (youtube.com
7. Carmen Miranda's Ghost - Sam Jones (youtube.com
There is place for about 5-6 songs more, so feel free to make additions, but know that variety is important.
Let's be honest with ourselves: The Benny Hill theme.

Also this. Because again, let's be honest with ourselves.
For that matter, the Sabre Dance and the Infernal Galop also meet most roleplaying requirements regardless of game.

Let's be honest with ourselves, all campaigns eventually descend into farce. One that did not simply didn't go on for long enough.
William Tell Overture as well, for that matter. Here's the best version I've found:

No, seriously; passable movie, but fantastic soundtrack.
>role play tournament
I miss when Brad Neely was actually funny.

STEADY YOURSELF BROTHER

Orchestral Dwarf Fortress

Basically anything by Bolt Thrower.
Oh fuck it's been ages.
What I didn't know was that it was written by Dan Harmon, and he's even one of the voices, though I don't know which one.
For that matter we can always rely to this one in space settings.
Basically anything from Darkest Dungeon.
Nice.
Thanks for linking that.

Really no Gloryhammer?
A must have for any Cyberpunk setting

For a second I was excited, but then I remembered it was the other half of Rick and Morty that I enjoyed.
When are we going to stop beating around the bush, pull a /v/ and have a Veeky Forums - The Musical?
Whenever we can agree on something.
Which is never.
So what stuff here would you guys actually play during games and not post it as a music fa/tg/uys listen to?
Depending on the location, half of the synthesized stuff would fit in any club from a cyberpunk setting so it could be nice to set the mood.
So mostly stuff that is just background at best, nothing too big that could obscure something else that the DM is describing or whatever a player might be doing.
In case of doubt is better to not play anything in my opinion.
I don't actually play music for games.
But this is the soundtrack I play while painting. It was the music to the city building game Zeus: Master of Olympus, pic related.
youtube.com
Literally just search 'tavern music' or similar on youtube and you'll get hours of simple guitar stuff for background music.
Why not do like /co/ and have soundtrack downloads?
I can post theirs as an example if anyone wants.
Can't forget robot cowboys.
youtube.com
We could do that, but we'd first have to settle on the track list, which starts with defining what kind of soundtrack this would be. OP was vague, which leaves the question of on what grounds will song submissions be accepted or rejected.
