As for criticism, aside from the section divisions (which you've already stated you might look into) I think the biggest weakness is the companions, or lack thereof. The real big draw of Persona and stuff is interacting with the characters, and while you can just import them there's a little something you get from actually picking and choosing. I think you said that's down the line, after a couple other CYOAs, but it's a really good idea. Making a build was fun.

One of my characters became a renegade at some point. This is sort of interesting, because he actually is a rebel in the source fiction I ripped him off from.

My character Adaira Andearsan was in the last companion package, but isn't on this list. IIRC you asked for "more characters who are x, y, z" so I made a character who was x, y, z. From the last package:

The rationalization absolutely works. Nagato was also my favorite Haruhi character so you're getting all the bonus points possible from me.

As for the daggered items, it really isn't well explained, it's just implied, and I've always held that anything not explicitly stated (and plenty of stuff that is explicitly stated, if you have reason to doubt) can be chosen by the player. If you intended for it to be like that, that's how it works. But basically, what "should" have happened if you're not YWMC is that the genie was offered the ability to take the Houri family with her, and was advised that trying to take her real family with her would probably not be approved. Depending on her personality (because she's matched with you), she either took the Houri family, or applied to bring her own family, or rejected both. No matter what she picked though, the Little Sister messed up the paperwork, and accidentally approved the real family, making the daughter the Mother is proud of the "careless imbecile" she insults.

In gameplay terms, it's there for YWMC players to get the Endless Inlaws interloper point bonus/narrative hook, because they don't get Page 4 (back in 1.03, which the DLC refers to.) Theoretically, they can still get their real family (because the Little Sister messed up in the main WoF reality, she might mess up again) or the Houri family. And if you want to believe that the genie somehow managed to pass off the Houri troupe as her real family, that also works.

As for the Old Friend/Smiling Supervisor, this is something that nobody would be able to piece together because I couldn’t find a way to sneak it in, so I’ll just tell you. Old Friend mentions that she’s a renegade Xian, and that she has a beef both with your genie in particular and all of Heaven. For YWMC players who lacked Page 4 in 1.03, they can’t get the Old Friend, so instead they get that same person as Smiling Supervisor (with the associated point bonus except for Peris/narrative hook). The way the Big Sister described YWMC, it seemed like changing your History/Attitude was the big obstacle, but she never mentioned being able to change your species. And the Unveiled confirmed that if they become anything, Humans should become Jeannies. So how did YWMC players become Ifrits, Peris and such (with the Unveiled description mentioning a potential YWMC player who is a Marid)? Who told them they could do that (canonically, "it's a CYOA" doesn't count)? Or did they just “know”? Who’s whispering in their ears? Probably the same figure who facilitated the “impossible” transformation.

In addition to their particular transformation (and potential altering of their personal history) a lot has changed in the YWMC reality, with the Childhood Friend having no friends and such. The Old Friend was described as a renegade Xian, with a grudge against your genie in particular and against all of Heaven. In the YWMC reality, she hasn’t gone renegade yet (she doesn’t have the mysterious glass vessel) and is still in their good graces. But being the absolutely driven woman she is, she retains her memories of the old reality nobody else seems to. She knows that the player is somehow responsible for the change, knows that that change should be impossible, and is coming for answers. In terms of your creepy Houri build, it changes very little, aside from her having had a good track record working Upstairs before going rogue, and confirmation that she never, ever gives up.

Dream Job is magical because you're automatically magically protected from things like recessions and stock market crashes, at least a little. Taking all the Interlopers at once is a really difficult path, especially with such a low power, so it'd be really interesting how the whole fiasco progresses. Actually doing the DLC build from the genie's perspective is great, especially with the little personality quirks, and I really love the strong narrative component. It was a fun build, thank you.
