Do you have a car? That's pretty important to know. If you don't have a car then buy/steal a bike. If you do then you can live out of it while trying to stabilize your life.

As for advice. Find a temp agency, and do the shitty work they give you. Look on craigslist, contact family, and check other places for the absolute cheapest place you can stay, (although preferably one where you won't get shanked) In your time off from temp agency try to search for a full time job. If you aren't stable then checkout JobCorp, they provide you with everything you need to survive, and will teach you a useful skill. If you have a degree then consider getting a commission as an officer. You'll have some good money saved up after you get out. Also get a cheap gym membership. They offer lockers to store valuables in, and a place to shower.
