The only way of balancing it and giving an infinite supply of Infusions is to hardcap the maximum health, salts and shield people can get as a broad ruling. Anything else risks giving people an endless amount of health and a shield that can't be broken for 50 CP. The whole hardcap thing is more unpleasant than just leaving it as an item for people who have 50 CP left and leave it to people who want to figure out how to make infusions themselves. The Luteces managed it and there was similar upgrades in Rapture.

So no it's still not getting changed at this point.

Think of it like Super serum. It gives a permanent benefit, but that benefit is not uncapped, instead having an upper limit.
Bamebalance wise, we already have stuff like that (things that can give permanent boosts to people) Heart shaped herbs, several super serums, those cauldron vials, various blessings you can bestow on others.

A drink that gives a small buff to some attribute, usable by only one person, and then vanishes forever is a unfun option.

You already do that! in the Notes it says that you can only benefit from 10 infusions of a certain type just like it is in the game.

The Shield is something the twins gave Booker to help him fight, it usually kills whoever drinks the shield formula though so they went through a lot of Bookers until one of them survived.

Which can make use of this actually using perk problematic in later jumps (you know how you make stuff float with a suitable supply of unobtanium. Unobtanium not included). Maybe make this perk 100 CP and add a supply for 200 CP? Or specify it included knowledge to easily make them, but a look at the wiki makes it seem like tear technology may have been involved in obtaining them, and you have that stuff locked down in the jump.

Tenchi Muyo- It's a drawback, but your fiancée/fiancé is said to be a very good partner, you just need to avoid going through with the wedding before the jump ends. And if you combine it with another drawback, you can get multiple waifus.

The Draenei are for waifuing and breeding. They're a good starter race for something more interesting and more powerful.

You need to re-read that jump, because half of the perks give you waifus too, as do all of the drawbacks.

You could easily walk out of that with a huge harem just from that jump alone, without even purchasing companions.

You can also waifu Tokimi that way if you think you can handle it
