Man it always stabs me in the heart when I read this. I got that copy of Merc on a sunny day in 1990 from my friend Murray, along with some Elfquest and the Twilight 2000 box. He was joining the army and I never saw him again. I found the other Merc books years later at a second hand shop. I scanned them all a few years back but of course, that central chunk of the main rules was always missing.

Merc's combat system used a weird gimmick, having a clear plastic gunsight laid over a target silhouette, then you would roll to hit. That, along with the basic combat rules, is what is missing. Technically you can still play it but it's obviously not the same. So I feel sad I could only provide an incomplete copy, and although I know it's rare as fuck I'm hoping another one will turn up some day. Sorry for the blog had to get that off my chest.

Maybe watch Ebay for one at a good price.

That's the legit PDF. They really want it as a print-only product. There must have been some serious sweet-talking to get them to release a PDF at all, even as a limited bundle deal.

Well look at it this way, man - if you hadn't taken the time to scan it, we'd be missing far more pages. You did everything you could, and it was more than anyone else.

I don't think 15 euros ($17 / £13 ) is expensive for a shrink-wrapped original copy.

I'd haggle him on that postage though.
