There was a game I played where Kobolds were basically the Yakuza, and their questionable draconic heritage was a super important matter of honor. They'd get sick tattoos to show their draconic bloodline, and have a bunch of crazy centuries old blood feuds between the Blues and the Blacks and shit like that. Getting false tattoos, if discovered, was a horrifying crime.

On the plus side, it gave my Kobold Barbarian the option to start every fight by sauntering up to people and going "oi oi oi oi oi oi oi!"
