When can we expect GK's to get the Primaris treatment?

When can we expect GK's to get the Primaris treatment?

Since they were released?

GK's have always been +1 Space Marines.

Hopefully fucking never

You really want GK to keep being manlets?

What about Bananamen too? Boy GW really dug themselves into a shit-pit lore wise but who cares right

>What about Bananamen too?

What about them?

I'd prefer them to be squatted, yes.

...

What the fuck does the second one do? I cannot read it with such a low resolution.

Magnifrool (The Amplifier)
>A small thumbnail steel love that is inserted into the brains core. The Amplifier secretes hormones that increase the bodys growth functions while also intensifying it's advanced systems, especially those of the X and the X. In truth, the amplifier is but half of the true. dual valve immortis gland that the emperor created for his primarchs. However, Archmagos Cawl could only find materials and genetic blueprints to build the electrophic lobe (The right lobe) while plans for the left half that would complete he original super organ had been wholly eradicated. Whether this was done by the Emperor's own hands or by some nefarious source, Cawl could not tell.

Bananamen are already Primaris sized.

So primaris are just a few mm smaller, i like it.

So Primaris have more strength, more muscle and an internal defensive layer. A hormone maker that makes their other normal marine organs work better, and a 1-up potion that patches up massive damage to the hearts, then takes time to recharge.

What the hell do the three new ones say?

Same here, I played them in Rogue Trader and I fucking hate what they have become.

Sure you did buddy. Bet you got good mileage out of that special rule of theirs....

They're a space marine chapter, right? I believe primaris were given to ALL space marine chapters

So again how did a random arch Magis nobody had ever heard of manage to revive Guilliman and outdo the work of the emperor of mankind himself?

t. retard who hasnt read the freely available fluff

Guilly gave him primarch serum.

>random arch Magis

Lol that's like saying how some random president of the united states had the authority to do some presidential shit.

He had the schematics and research, he had ten thousand years to perfect it, and he wasn't interrupted.

We also know the Emperor could have made the Space Marines even better from the get go (e.g. Thunder Warriors were ridiculously good at killing things). He chose not to because he didn't need them to be better than they were, which was already perfectly serviceable.

Seems a minor semi-retcon, but the new organs the Primaris marines get seem mostly to be incomplete basic space marine ones. Stuff that the Emperor never got finished before being satisfied with what he has, with a hint that there's more possible (the brain organ that increases reaction and muscle growth is only partly working)

>lore says that Eldar and Necron technology is beyond the comprehension of humanity
>CAWL : I figured it out and mixing it together to create an anti-Chaos cocktail that will get rid of the Great Rift forever 01001100 01000001 01010111 01001100

Cael existence breaks the lore so much.

Cawl is not your average cogboy. he is best scientist since Emperor.

Trazyn gave him the instructions.

Which is shitty fluff.

...

Seriously? That's the best argument you have?

Not necessarily a retcon I believe, more of a: "The Primarchs had these organs, but fuck it, these Astartes are good as they are."
Pretty much.
New character that was instructed by Bobbie to improve shit, then 40k happened and a while later decides to finish everything.

Well there has to be a "Best scientist since the emperor"

"Push this button" doesn't translate into understanding Necron, Eldar, and Old One tech to point that he producing and testing Imperial pylons.

And Trazyn is an Overlord. Overlord know nothing about their technology since that's beneath them. They leave the matter of tech and science to the Crypteks.

t. Dark Mechanicum.

Are you retarded? First you didn't even read the fluff, then when someone corrects you, you start sperging out over irrelevant shit. The fluff says Trazyn helped Cawl do what he did. End of story. It doesn't matter if you think Trazyn, who isn't even a "typical" overlord wouldn't know it or finds it beneath him.

What were they back then?

Unacceptable.

GW will probably have to give them some retcons or fluff seeds of the Custodes breaking out some primarch potion made by the emperor himself that turns their best heros into Primarch tier warriors. Like Tribunes with +2 to every single stat.

They look like plastic toys

why does modern 40k art suck so much

The fluff says ONLY THE ELDAR had a chance of understanding the most basic of Necron scientific concepts.

And somehow Trazyn is a cryptek-overlord when the fluff doesn't say he is? How did Trazyn teaching Cawl how to activate the Pylons translate into knowing how to build them and most bizarrely knowing how Eldar and OLD ONE tech work?

This fluff is whack. Admit it.

can't unsee

Because they sell plastic toys.

Cawl has 10000 years of experience.

And the Eldar have 60 million years of exp and a manual that contains all their collected knowledge about the Necron race (Book of Mournful Night) and they still cannot wrap their heads around Necron tech in the same way that Cawl did.

I don't use that word lightly but MARY FUCKING SUE.

Best Eldar psychers are also weaker than Emperor and Magnus.

Eldar were created. Doubt they even came up with any of their tech tbqh.

Cawl knows how to control and cleanse MSS scarabs too and thats without Trazyns help

Irrelevant. Psychic power relies on metaphysical thing that is a soul.

Brain power relies on the mundane flesh and matter. A human brain no matter how augmented can never be superior to an Eldar brain. Heck, It's known for Necron tech to cause madness and horror in tech priests. More than one a tech priests lost their minds and mutilated themselves when they examined Necron tech. Somehow Cawl is immune to that.

It's simple. Cawl just extracted the nano-scarabs from Greyfax's bloodstream. Painful and tedious procedure.

Imagine them as the same, but without any of their named characters.

Oh and they had a rule that they LITERALLY COULDN'T BE DEPLOYED unless there was a Daemon in your opponents army. So he is full of shit.

>Tech Priests examines a Necron arm. Suddenly realizes something horrific.
>THE METAL LIVES
>His brain breaks down

>Cawl studies one of the most advanced examines of Necron tech
>nothing happens

GW!!!!

examples*

I'm not sure if it's still current but weren't the thunder warriors prone to physical and mental breakdown? Made worse by the Emperor viewing them as a stop gap and not fixing them?

>Nameless mooks worse at things than important named characters
Surprising tbqh.

Either way stay mad Cawl best character added in GS and its great to finally see AdMech characters getting added to 40k.

And all that translates to is +1 W and +1 A

GG GW

>named Admech character introduced in the Oldcron and has a few mentions in Newcron fluff was the foremost expert about Necron tech
>He ended up tearing out all his cybernetic augmentations and becoming raving mad
>FOOD FOR THE GODS. FOOD FOR THE GODS
>Cawl is fine though

Fight back against Mary Sues.

Dude if I had +1W and +1A I'd be the fucking MMA world champion in every weight class.

>Codex about a faction hypes up said faction to Nth degree
Plz stop getting so ass-blasted.

Cawl has some fluff about where he modded his brain to both improve storage and compartmentalize it like a hard drive, so if he ever goes mad he only loses like 5% of his mind.

Fuck off, Carnac.
Stop supporting bad writing.

If they do get the upgrade, they'd be last on the list.

>Calling Carnac on someone supporting imperials
Newfag.

Its not bad writing it just does follow your preferred canon. 40k has contradictory fluff all the time. Having one guy shit himself when looking at necron tech doesnt mean it will always happen.

Besides Cawl had no idea wtf to do even after studying for so long. In hthe end he cgot the source code from Trazyn and is using that to help his own research.

Well, yeah, except that it's like somebody suddenly telling you today that there was actually a president IN BETWEEN Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson, and that you should treat him with all the respect as if he'd already existed all this time.

Custodes already have a better stat line than Primaris. Fluffwise I'm not sure if Primaris are custodes sized but I've assumed they're thunder warriors but stable.

>This character is treated ridiculously do-no-wrong special when compared to previous lore
>Well, the older character was a nameless scrub!
>No, actually, the older character was well-established
>It was in a Codex, and therefore doesn't count!
Confirmed - goalposts have left the county.

Which is totally fine when the place that guy came from and was hiding out is 90% abandoned. Seriously, the only thing I want out of any of this advancement is for gully and Cawl to renovate fucking Mars and make it actually not suck so much/a desolate ruin.

>Fight back against Mary Sues.
You mean flail impotently on the internet while GW continues doing whatever they want not even knowing or caring that you exist?

>people bitched about the Tau being noblebright
>GW grimdark'ed them

>People mocked Abaddon for being a failure
>GW revamped his fluff to highlight his success and downplay his losses

>GW says they are willing more than ever now to listen to feedback.

The people have the power. If only they can cease it.

One model you could have as a special option in a Space Marine or Imperial Guard force? You sure played "them" buddy. I'm sure I remember a White Dwarf article even stating you had to ask your opponents permission to field them. GK barely existed until like 4th edition.

YOU KNOW IT, BRAH

>I support retcons only when I agree with them.

If that DID happen, he WOULD be afforded all the rights of a previous POTUS. It wouldn't matter how much you or I didn't like it, it would still be a thing. That's a terrible example, Anonymous.

seize it*

>I support retcons only if they are compatible with the spirit of the setting.

FIFY
Forget the power of technology, remember?

>All these mad xeno-fags and chaos-cucks
And this is just one Archmagos. Cant wait till we get more Admech characters to BTFO out of everyone even harder.

I hope so. If the Imperium is going to be split, then both sides need distinct shit. Gully's boys get the admech and Lion when he comesback and spits his drink at what's going on, joins the Dark Imperium as their big dick G and gays it up all over the rift with something else.

I wanna see the Archmagos from the titan legion ordo and the "gods of destroying things and war" ordo. Reducto I think.

Doesn't matter cause 30k admech will always be way cooler than 40k admech. Step it up GW

If somebody claimed it tomorrow, out of nowhere, with no long-established proof, people would say 'that's some shit historical research'.
If a similar thing happens in a long-established fictional world, people should be able to say 'that's some shit writing'.

>with no long-established proof

That's the thing though, there is proof. GW published it. It's canon. If the ex-POTUS had proof we'd have to honor it.

Do you react to every surprise discovery with "that's shit reality"? Life is full of things similar to this. You would basically call every single scientist and archaeologist shit by this logic, due to how many new discovers they make that surprise the community or override previous theories.

Technically, the US did have presidents before Washington. At least two of them even signed the Deceleration of Independence in support of the rebellion. Also, there was John Hanson, who George Washington helped elect as the first President of the United States in Congress Assembled in In 1779 before the full constitution was ratified.

Fires of Cyraxus fucking when?

American: rebels before they even existed.

To be fair some of those pre-ratification presidents were actually pretty chill guys. It's a shame American schools don't teach kids more about them. Or early ass attempts to abolish slavery for that matter. Hamilton was abolitionist and yet he and Washington still get shit on for hypocrisy on slaves when they tried to pass legislature very early in post-ratification to stop it. 1775, 1807, 1808 each had attempts, And some early attempts failed only by a few votes which could not be overturned for the sake of peoples better natures because that would mean Americas attempt at creating law people are supposed to follow, would be for nothing.

Ordo Reductor, specialists in the science of War, particularly siege craft.

>tfw you are so used to imagining Custodes as naked oiled men seing them in armor is a shock

>siege warfare

Speaking of which, are there any Space Marine chapters or successors specialized in this? Like attrition warfare, trench warfare or breaking stalemates during a siege? I imagine the IG are fucking good at it, but 40k even have rules for things like intense trench warfare where no one can even move an inch on the board because the cover is so good on either side?

Seriously never. Primaris will in like 5 years push dwarfrines out of the picture but till that time anomalies such as fukcing dick sucking gk wont change

I HAVE FAILED YOU JANUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

>states never then argues that they will change in 5 years
What did the retard mean by this?

It's funny how if you aren't looking that close, that art almost doesn't look like Primaris Marines. It just looks like normal Space Marines with oddly long bolters.

>Speaking of which, are there any Space Marine chapters or successors specialized in this? Like attrition warfare, trench warfare or breaking stalemates during a siege?

Both the Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors are so famously good at it their rivalry over who was better is part of the reason why the Iron Warriors fell to chaos.

The grind you describe belonged to the Iron Warriors. Imperial Fists are siege busters and fortification builders.

The best part is that I have no idea how people feel about all these changes outside of a bunch of idiots shitposting on a korean mango-processing plant. I legitimately have no idea if, the next time I'm able to actually meet people who like 40k, if they're going to be accepting this with open arms or hating it. Within a few years, people probably won't even question it or understand the shitposting about it, since Primaris Marines will be considered normal.

>attrition warfare, trench warfare or breaking stalemates
That generally isn't too viable when a chapter only has 1000 marines at most.
For 10,000+++ strong legions, sure, see the Iron Warriors. But when you're such a small force, it's better to leave such costly forms of warfare top less massively over-costed military assets.

thats what chapter serfs are for

The Codex Astartes limits your number of Marines. But if you also happen to be one of the few that direct rules a world, well.... you can roll with your own Regiment

The fact primaris have no melee sprues except for maybe a power sword here and there makes me unreasonably angry

I want gothic knights in space, not Infinity-tier commandos

They should also be slightly less effective in urban warfare for being bigger and using larger guns, two things that suck in tight spaces.

>when you have so many serfs you made an entirely new tank just to fire homing missiles guided by serfs

I'm gluing chainswords and knives on them and I'll fight anyone who tries to stop me.

But regular chainswords on primaris marines look more like, chain-shortswords
I want HUGE chainswords
HUGE

Chain-Dragonslayer?

Didn't GW say that Girlyman didn't know of their existence? So he lived for 100 years as the Lord Commander of the Imperium, oversaw the 2nd founding, but never questioned about Titan, the 666th chapter on the roster (when there was just 400 chapters so far), etc.?
